Matthew 10
1 And hee called his twelue disciples vnto him, and gaue them power against vncleane spirits, to cast them out, and to heale euery sickenesse, and euery disease.
Покликавши дванадцятьох Своїх учнів, [Ісус] дав їм владу виганяти нечистих духів та зцілювати всі хвороби й усі недуги.
2 Nowe the names of the twelue Apostles are these. The first is Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother: Iames the sonne of Zebedeus, and Iohn his brother.
Ось імена дванадцятьох апостолів: перший – Симон, якого назвав Петром, та Андрій, його брат, Яків, син Зеведеїв, і Іван, його брат,
3 Philippe and Bartlemewe: Thomas, and Matthewe that Publicane: Iames the sonne of Alpheus, and Lebbeus whose surname was Thaddeus:
Филип і Варфоломій, Фома і митник Матвій, Яків, син Алфеїв, і Тадей,
4 Simon the Cananite, and Iudas Iscariot, who also betraied him.
Симон Кананит і Юда Іскаріот, який зрадив Ісуса.
5 These twelue did Iesus send forth, and commanded them, saying, Goe not into the way of of the Gentiles, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter yee not:
Цих дванадцятьох Ісус надіслав та наказав їм: «На дорогу язичників не йдіть і в міста самарянські не входіть.
6 But goe rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.
А йдіть краще до загублених овець дому Ізраїля.
7 And as ye goe, preach, saying, The kingdome of heauen is at hand.
Ідіть та проповідуйте кажучи: „Наблизилось Царство Небесне“.
8 Heale the sicke: cleanse the lepers: raise vp the dead: cast out the deuils. Freely ye haue receiued, freely giue.
Хворих зцілюйте, мертвих воскрешайте, прокажених очищайте, демонів виганяйте. Даром отримали – даром давайте.
9 Possesse not golde, nor siluer, nor money in your girdels,
Не беріть ні золота, ні срібла, ні грошей до поясів своїх,
10 Nor a scrippe for the iourney, neither two coates, neither shoes, nor a staffe: for the workeman is worthie of his meate.
ні торбини в дорогу, ні двох сорочок, ні взуття, ні палиці, бо робітник достойний своєї їжі.
11 And into whatsoeuer citie or towne ye shall come, enquire who is worthy in it, and there abide till yee goe thence.
А коли увійдете в якесь місто чи село, дізнайтеся, хто в ньому достойний, і залишайтеся в нього, поки не вийдете.
12 And when yee come into an house, salute the same.
Зайшовши в дім, привітайте його, кажучи: „Мир цьому дому!“
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come vpon it: but if it be not worthie, let your peace returne to you.
І якщо той дім дійсно достойний, мир ваш зійде на нього. Якщо ж недостойний, ваш мир повернеться до вас.
14 And whosoeuer shall not receiue you, nor heare your woordes, when yee depart out of that house, or that citie, shake off the dust of your feete.
А якщо хтось не прийме вас і не послухає ваших слів, то, виходячи з того дому або з того міста, обтрусіть пил зі своїх ніг.
15 Truely I say vnto you, it shall be easier for them of the lande of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of iudgement, then for that citie.
Істинно кажу вам: легше буде землі Содомській і Гоморрській у день суду, ніж тому місту.
16 Behold, I send you as sheepe in the middes of the wolues: be yee therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doues.
Ось Я посилаю вас, як овець поміж вовків. Тому будьте мудрі, як змії, та невинні, як голуби.
17 But beware of men, for they will deliuer you vp to the Councils, and will scourge you in their Synagogues.
Стережіться людей, бо вони віддаватимуть вас до судів і у своїх синагогах битимуть вас.
18 And ye shall be brought to the gouernours and Kings for my sake, in witnes to them, and to the Gentiles.
Поведуть вас до правителів та царів заради Мене, на свідчення їм та язичникам.
19 But when they deliuer you vp, take no thought howe or what ye shall speake: for it shall be giuen you in that houre, what ye shall say.
Коли видаватимуть вас, не турбуйтеся, як і що казати, бо дано буде вам у той час, що казати:
20 For it is not yee that speake, but the spirite of your father which speaketh in you.
не ви будете говорити, а Дух Отця вашого промовлятиме через вас.
21 And the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the sonne, and the children shall rise against their parents, and shall cause them to die.
Брат видасть на смерть брата, а батько – дитину. Повстануть діти проти батьків та вбиватимуть їх.
22 And yee shall be hated of all men for my Name: but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saued.
І всі будуть ненавидіти вас через ім’я Моє. Але хто витримає до кінця, той буде спасенний.
23 And when they persecute you in this citie, flee into another: for verely I say vnto you, yee shall not goe ouer all the cities of Israel, till the Sonne of man be come.
Коли ж будуть вас переслідувати у цьому місті, тікайте до іншого. Істинно кажу вам: ви не закінчите [обходити] всі міста Ізраїлю, як прийде Син Людський.
24 The disciple is not aboue his master, nor the seruant aboue his Lord.
Учень не вищий за [свого] вчителя, а раб не вищий за свого господаря.
25 It is ynough for the disciple to bee as his master is, and the seruaunt as his Lord. If they haue called the master of the house Beel-zebub, howe much more them of his housholde?
Достатньо учневі стати, як його вчитель, і рабу стати, як його господар. Якщо господаря дому назвали Вельзевулом, то наскільки більше [називатимуть так] Його домашніх.
26 Feare them not therefore: for there is nothing couered, that shall not be disclosed, nor hid, that shall not be knowen.
Не бійтеся їх, бо немає нічого захованого, що не відкрилося б, і нічого таємного, що не стало б відомим.
27 What I tell you in darkenesse, that speake yee in light: and what yee heare in the eare, that preach yee on the houses.
Те, що Я кажу вам у темряві, говоріть при світлі, і те, що чуєте на вухо, проповідуйте з дахів.
28 And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell. (Geenna g1067)
Не бійтеся тих, хто, вбиваючи тіло, не може вбити душі. Бійтеся більше Того, Хто може і душу, і тіло знищити в Геєні. (Geenna g1067)
29 Are not two sparrowes sold for a farthing, and one of them shall not fal on the ground without your Father?
Хіба два горобці не продаються за асарій? Однак жоден із них не впаде на землю без відома Отця вашого.
30 Yea, and all the heares of your head are nombred.
У вас же на голові навіть волосся пораховане.
31 Feare ye not therefore, yee are of more value then many sparowes.
Отже, не бійтеся: ви набагато цінніші за горобців.
32 Whosoeuer therefore shall confesse me before men, him will I confesse also before my Father which is in heauen.
Кожного, хто визнає Мене перед людьми, і Я визнаю перед Моїм Небесним Отцем.
33 But whosoeuer shall denie me before me, him will I also denie before my Father which is in heauen.
Але кожного, хто зречеться Мене перед людьми, зрікусь і Я перед Моїм Небесним Отцем.
34 Thinke not that I am come to sende peace into the earth: I came not to send peace, but the sworde.
Не думайте, що Я прийшов принести мир на землю. Я прийшов принести не мир, а меч.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in lawe.
Адже Я прийшов, аби підняти „сина проти його батька, доньку проти її матері, невістку проти її свекрухи,
36 And a mans enemies shall be they of his owne housholde.
і ворогами людини будуть її домашні“.
37 He that loueth father or mother more then me, is not worthie of me. And he that loueth sonne, or daughter more then mee, is not worthie of me.
Хто любитиме свого батька та матір більше, ніж Мене, той не достойний Мене, і хто любитиме сина або доньку більше, ніж Мене, той не достойний Мене.
38 And hee that taketh not his crosse, and followeth after me, is not worthie of me.
І хто не бере хреста свого й не йде за Мною, той не достойний Мене.
39 He that will finde his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall finde it.
Хто зберігає життя своє, той втратить його, а хто втратить його заради Мене, знайде його.
40 He that receiueth you, receiueth me: and hee that receiueth mee, receiueth him that hath sent me.
Хто приймає вас, Мене приймає, а хто приймає Мене, приймає Того, Хто надіслав Мене.
41 Hee that receiueth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, shall receiue a Prophetes rewarde: and hee that receiueth a righteous man, in the name of a righteous man, shall receiue the rewarde of a righteous man.
Хто приймає пророка в ім’я пророка, отримає винагороду пророка, і хто приймає праведника в ім’я праведника, отримає винагороду праведника.
42 And whosoeuer shall giue vnto one of these litle ones to drinke a cuppe of colde water onely, in the name of a disciple, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.
І хто дасть тільки чашу холодної води одному з цих малих в ім’я учня, – істинно кажу вам, – не втратить своєї винагороди».
