Matthew 10
1 And hee called his twelue disciples vnto him, and gaue them power against vncleane spirits, to cast them out, and to heale euery sickenesse, and euery disease.
Entonces llamando a sus doce discípulos, les dio potestad contra los espíritus inmundos, para que los echasen fuera, y sanasen toda enfermedad y toda flaqueza.
2 Nowe the names of the twelue Apostles are these. The first is Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother: Iames the sonne of Zebedeus, and Iohn his brother.
Y los nombres de los doce apóstoles son éstos: el primero, Simón, que es llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano; Jacobo, hijo de Zebedeo, y Juan su hermano;
3 Philippe and Bartlemewe: Thomas, and Matthewe that Publicane: Iames the sonne of Alpheus, and Lebbeus whose surname was Thaddeus:
Felipe, y Bartolomé; Tomás, y Mateo el publicano; Jacobo hijo de Alfeo, y Lebeo, por sobrenombre Tadeo;
4 Simon the Cananite, and Iudas Iscariot, who also betraied him.
Simón el cananeo y Judas Iscariote, que también le entregó.
5 These twelue did Iesus send forth, and commanded them, saying, Goe not into the way of of the Gentiles, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter yee not:
A estos doce envió Jesús, a los cuales dio mandamiento, diciendo: Por el camino de los gentiles no iréis, y en ciudad de samaritanos no entréis;
6 But goe rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.
mas id antes a las ovejas perdidas de la Casa de Israel.
7 And as ye goe, preach, saying, The kingdome of heauen is at hand.
Y yendo, predicad, diciendo: El Reino de los cielos ha llegado.
8 Heale the sicke: cleanse the lepers: raise vp the dead: cast out the deuils. Freely ye haue receiued, freely giue.
Sanad enfermos, limpiad leprosos, resucitad muertos, echad fuera demonios; de gracia recibisteis, dad de gracia.
9 Possesse not golde, nor siluer, nor money in your girdels,
No proveáis oro, ni plata, ni dinero en vuestros cintos;
10 Nor a scrippe for the iourney, neither two coates, neither shoes, nor a staffe: for the workeman is worthie of his meate.
ni alforja para el camino; ni dos ropas de vestir, ni zapatos, ni bordón; porque el obrero digno es de su alimento.
11 And into whatsoeuer citie or towne ye shall come, enquire who is worthy in it, and there abide till yee goe thence.
Mas en cualquier ciudad, o aldea donde entréis, buscad con diligencia quién sea en ella digno, y reposad allí hasta que salgáis.
12 And when yee come into an house, salute the same.
Y entrando en la casa, saludadla.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come vpon it: but if it be not worthie, let your peace returne to you.
Y si la casa fuere digna, vuestra paz vendrá sobre ella; mas si no fuere digna, vuestra paz se volverá a vosotros.
14 And whosoeuer shall not receiue you, nor heare your woordes, when yee depart out of that house, or that citie, shake off the dust of your feete.
Y cualquiera que no os recibiere, ni oyere vuestras palabras, salid de aquella casa o ciudad, y sacudid el polvo de vuestros pies.
15 Truely I say vnto you, it shall be easier for them of the lande of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of iudgement, then for that citie.
De cierto os digo, que el castigo será más tolerable a la tierra de los de Sodoma y de los de Gomorra en el día del juicio, que a aquella ciudad.
16 Behold, I send you as sheepe in the middes of the wolues: be yee therefore wise as serpents, and innocent as doues.
He aquí, yo os envío como a ovejas en medio de lobos; sed pues prudentes como serpientes, y inocentes como palomas.
17 But beware of men, for they will deliuer you vp to the Councils, and will scourge you in their Synagogues.
Y guardaos de los hombres, porque os entregarán en concilios, y en sus sinagogas os azotarán;
18 And ye shall be brought to the gouernours and Kings for my sake, in witnes to them, and to the Gentiles.
Y aun a príncipes y a reyes seréis llevados por causa de mí, por testimonio a ellos y a los gentiles.
19 But when they deliuer you vp, take no thought howe or what ye shall speake: for it shall be giuen you in that houre, what ye shall say.
Mas cuando os entregaren, no os apuréis por cómo o qué hablaréis; porque en aquella hora os será dado qué habéis de hablar.
20 For it is not yee that speake, but the spirite of your father which speaketh in you.
Porque no sois vosotros los que habláis, sino el Espíritu de vuestro Padre que habla en vosotros.
21 And the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the sonne, and the children shall rise against their parents, and shall cause them to die.
Y hermano entregará a hermano a la muerte, y padre a hijo; y los hijos se levantarán contra sus padres, y los harán morir.
22 And yee shall be hated of all men for my Name: but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saued.
Y seréis aborrecidos de todos por mi nombre; mas el que persevere hasta el fin, éste será salvo.
23 And when they persecute you in this citie, flee into another: for verely I say vnto you, yee shall not goe ouer all the cities of Israel, till the Sonne of man be come.
Mas cuando os persiguieren en esta ciudad, huid a la otra; porque de cierto os digo, que no acabaréis de andar todas las ciudades de Israel, antes que venga el Hijo del hombre.
24 The disciple is not aboue his master, nor the seruant aboue his Lord.
El discípulo no es más que su maestro, ni el siervo más que su señor.
25 It is ynough for the disciple to bee as his master is, and the seruaunt as his Lord. If they haue called the master of the house Beel-zebub, howe much more them of his housholde?
Bástale al discípulo ser como su maestro, y al siervo como su señor. Si al padre de la familia llamaron Beelzebú, ¿cuánto más a los de su casa?
26 Feare them not therefore: for there is nothing couered, that shall not be disclosed, nor hid, that shall not be knowen.
Así que, no los temáis; porque nada hay encubierto, que no haya de ser manifestado; ni oculto, que no haya de saberse.
27 What I tell you in darkenesse, that speake yee in light: and what yee heare in the eare, that preach yee on the houses.
Lo que os digo en tinieblas, decidlo en luz; y lo que oís al oído, predicadlo desde los terrados.
28 And feare yee not them which kill the bodie, but are nor able to kill the soule: but rather feare him, which is able to destroy both soule and bodie in hell. (Geenna g1067)
Y no temáis a los que matan el cuerpo, mas al alma no pueden matar; temed antes a aquel que puede destruir el alma y el cuerpo en el quemadero. (Geenna g1067)
29 Are not two sparrowes sold for a farthing, and one of them shall not fal on the ground without your Father?
¿No se venden dos pajarillos por un cuarto? Con todo, ni uno de ellos cae a tierra sin vuestro Padre.
30 Yea, and all the heares of your head are nombred.
Pues aun vuestros cabellos están todos contados.
31 Feare ye not therefore, yee are of more value then many sparowes.
Así que, no temáis; más valéis vosotros que muchos pajarillos.
32 Whosoeuer therefore shall confesse me before men, him will I confesse also before my Father which is in heauen.
Cualquiera pues que me confesare delante de los hombres, le confesaré yo también delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
33 But whosoeuer shall denie me before me, him will I also denie before my Father which is in heauen.
Y cualquiera que me negare delante de los hombres, le negaré yo también delante de mi Padre que está en los cielos.
34 Thinke not that I am come to sende peace into the earth: I came not to send peace, but the sworde.
No penséis que he venido para meter paz en la tierra; no he venido para meter paz, sino espada.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in lawe.
Porque he venido para hacer disensión del hombre contra su padre, y de la hija contra su madre, y de la nuera contra su suegra.
36 And a mans enemies shall be they of his owne housholde.
Y los enemigos del hombre serán los de su casa.
37 He that loueth father or mother more then me, is not worthie of me. And he that loueth sonne, or daughter more then mee, is not worthie of me.
El que ama padre o madre más que a mí, no es digno de mí; y el que ama hijo o hija más que a mí, no es digno de mí.
38 And hee that taketh not his crosse, and followeth after me, is not worthie of me.
Y el que no toma su madero, y sigue en pos de mí, no es digno de mí.
39 He that will finde his life, shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake, shall finde it.
El que hallare su vida, la perderá; y el que perdiere su vida por causa de mí, la hallará.
40 He that receiueth you, receiueth me: and hee that receiueth mee, receiueth him that hath sent me.
El que os recibe a vosotros, a mí me recibe; y el que me recibe a mí, recibe al que me envió.
41 Hee that receiueth a Prophet in the name of a Prophet, shall receiue a Prophetes rewarde: and hee that receiueth a righteous man, in the name of a righteous man, shall receiue the rewarde of a righteous man.
El que recibe profeta en nombre de profeta, salario de profeta recibirá; y el que recibe justo en nombre de justo, salario de justo recibirá.
42 And whosoeuer shall giue vnto one of these litle ones to drinke a cuppe of colde water onely, in the name of a disciple, verely I say vnto you, he shall not lose his rewarde.
Y cualquiera que diere a uno de estos pequeñitos un vaso de agua fría solamente, en nombre de discípulo, de cierto os digo, que no perderá su salario.
