Mark 4
1 And hee began againe to teache by the sea side, and there gathered vnto him a great multitude, so that hee entred into a shippe, and sate in the sea, and all the people was by the sea side on the land.
Đức Chúa Jêsus lại khởi sự giảng dạy nơi bờ biển; có một đoàn dân đông lắm nhóm lại xung quanh Ngài, Ngài bước lên trong một chiếc thuyền và ngồi đó, còn cả đoàn dân thì ở trên đất nơi mé biển.
2 And he taught them many things in parables, and said vnto them in his doctrine,
Ngài lấy thí dụ dạy dỗ họ nhiều điều, và trong khi dạy, Ngài phán rằng:
3 Hearken: Beholde, there went out a sower to sowe.
Hãy nghe. Có người gieo giống đi ra đặng gieo.
4 And it came to passe as he sowed, that some fell by the way side, and the foules of the heauen came, and deuoured it vp.
Khi đang gieo, một phần giống rơi dọc đường, chim đến ăn hết.
5 And some fell on stonie grounde, where it had not much earth, and by and by sprang vp, because it had not depth of earth.
Một phần khác rơi nhằm nơi đất đá sỏi, chỉ có ít đất thịt, tức thì mọc lên, vì bị lấp không sâu;
6 But assoone as ye Sunne was vp, it was burnt vp, and because it had not roote, it withered away.
nhưng khi mặt trời đã mọc, thì bị đốt, và bởi không có rễ, nên phải héo.
7 And some fell among the thornes, and the thornes grewe vp, and choked it, so that it gaue no fruite.
Một phần khác rơi nhằm bụi gai; gai mọc rậm lên làm cho nghẹt ngòi, và không kết quả.
8 Some againe fell in good grounde, and did yeelde fruite that sprong vp, and grewe, and it brought foorth, some thirtie folde, some sixtie folde, and some an hundreth folde.
Một phần khác nữa rơi nhằm nơi đất tốt, thì kết quả, lớn lên và nẩy nở ra; một hột ra ba chục, hột khác sáu chục, hột khác một trăm.
9 Then he said vnto them, He that hath eares to heare, let him heare.
Ngài lại phán rằng: Ai có tai mà nghe, hãy nghe.
10 And whe he was alone, they that were about him with the twelue, asked him of ye parable.
Khi Đức Chúa Jêsus ở một mình, những kẻ xung quanh Ngài cùng mười hai sứ đồ hỏi Ngài về các lời thí dụ.
11 And he saide vnto them, To you it is giuen to knowe the mysterie of the kingdome of God: but vnto them that are without, all thinges bee done in parables,
Ngài phán rằng: Sự mầu nhiệm của nước Đức Chúa Trời đã tỏ ra cho các ngươi; nhưng về phần người ngoài, thì dùng cách thí dụ để dạy mọi sự,
12 That they seeing, may see, and not discerne: and they hearing, may heare, and not vnderstand, least at any time they should turne, and their sinnes should be forgiuen them.
hầu cho họ xem thì xem mà không thấy, nghe thì nghe mà không hiểu; e họ hối cải mà được tha tội chăng.
13 Againe he said vnto them, Perceiue ye not this parable? howe then should ye vnderstand all other parables?
Đoạn, Ngài phán rằng: Các ngươi không hiểu thí dụ ấy sao? Vậy thì thế nào hiểu mọi thí dụ được?
14 The sower soweth the worde.
Người gieo giống ấy là gieo đạo.
15 And these are they that receiue the seede by the wayes side, in whome the worde is sowen: but when they haue heard it, Satan commeth immediatly, and taketh away the worde that was sowen in their heartes.
Những kẻ ở dọc đường là kẻ đã chịu đạo gieo nơi mình; nhưng vừa mới nghe đạo, tức thì quỉ Sa-tan đến, cướp lấy đạo đã gieo trong lòng họ đi.
16 And likewise they that receiue the seede in stony ground, are they, which whe they haue heard the word, straightwayes receiue it with gladnesse.
Cũng vậy, những người chịu giống gieo nơi đất đá sỏi, là những kẻ nghe đạo, liền vui mừng chịu lấy;
17 Yet haue they no roote in themselues, and endure but a time: for when trouble and persecution ariseth for the worde, immediatly they be offended.
song vì trong lòng họ không có rễ, chỉ tạm thời mà thôi, nên nỗi gặp khi vì cớ đạo mà xảy ra sự cực khổ, bắt bớ, thì liền vấp phạm.
18 Also they that receiue the seede among the thornes, are such as heare the word:
Còn những kẻ chịu giống gieo nơi bụi gai, là kẻ đã nghe đạo;
19 But the cares of this world, and the deceitfulnes of riches, and the lustes of other things enter in, and choke the word, and it is vnfruitfull. (aiōn g165)
song sự lo lắng về đời nầy, sự mê đắm về giàu sang, và các sự tham muốn khác thấu vào lòng họ, làm cho nghẹt ngòi đạo, và trở nên không trái. (aiōn g165)
20 But they that haue receiued seede in good ground, are they that heare the worde, and receiue it, and bring foorth fruite: one corne thirtie, another sixtie, and some an hundreth.
Nhưng, những người chịu giống gieo vào nơi đất tốt, là kẻ nghe đạo, chịu lấy và kết quả, một hột ra ba chục, hột khác sáu chục, hột khác một trăm.
21 Also he saide vnto them, Commeth the candle in, to be put vnder a bushell, or vnder the bed, and not to be put on a candlesticke?
Ngài lại phán cùng họ rằng: Có ai đem đèn để dưới cái thùng hoặc dưới cái giường chăng? Há chẳng phải để trên chân đèn sao?
22 For there is nothing hid, that shall not be opened: neither is there a secret, but that it shall come to light.
Vì chẳng có điều chi kín mà không phải lộ ra, chẳng có điều chi giấu mà không phải rõ ràng.
23 If any man haue eares to heare, let him heare.
Nếu ai có tai mà nghe, hãy nghe!
24 And he said vnto them, Take heede what ye heare. With what measure ye mete, it shall be measured vnto you: and vnto you that heare, shall more be giuen.
Ngài lại phán rằng: Hãy cẩn thận về điều mình nghe. Người ta sẽ đong cho các ngươi bằng lường các ngươi đã đong cho, và thêm vào đó nữa.
25 For vnto him that hath, shall it be giuen, and from him that hath not, shall be taken away, euen that he hath.
Vì sẽ ban thêm cho kẻ nào có; nhưng kẻ nào không có, sẽ bị cất lấy điều mình đã có.
26 Also he said, So is the kingdome of God, as if a man should cast seede in the ground,
Ngài lại phán rằng: Nước Đức Chúa Trời cũng như một người vải giống xuống đất;
27 And shoulde sleepe, and rise vp night and day, and the seede should spring and growe vp, he not knowing howe.
người ngủ hay dậy, đêm và ngày, giống cứ nẩy chồi mọc lên, mà người không biết thể nào.
28 For the earth bringeth foorth fruite of it selfe, first the blade, then the eares, after that full corne in the eares.
Vì đất tự sanh ra hoa lợi: ban đầu là cây, kế đến bông, đoạn bông kết thành hột.
29 And assoone as the fruite sheweth it selfe, anon hee putteth in the sickle, because the haruest is come.
Khi hột đã chín, người ta liền tra lưỡi hái vào, vì mùa gặt đã đến.
30 He saide moreouer, Whereunto shall wee liken the kingdome of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?
Ngài lại phán rằng: Chúng ta sánh nước Đức Chúa Trời với chi, hay lấy thí dụ nào mà tỏ ra?
31 It is like a graine of mustarde seede, which when it is sowen in the earth, is the least of all seedes that be in the earth:
Nước ấy giống như một hột cải: khi người ta gieo, nó nhỏ hơn hết các hột giống trên đất;
32 But after that it is sowen, it groweth vp, and is greatest of all herbes, and beareth great branches, so that the foules of heauen may builde vnder the shadow of it.
song khi gieo rồi, nó mọc lên, trở lớn hơn mọi thứ rau, và nứt ra nhành lớn, đến nỗi chim trời núp dưới bóng nó được.
33 And with many such parables he preached the word vnto them, as they were able to heare it.
Aáy bởi nhiều lời thí dụ như cách ấy mà Ngài giảng đạo cho họ, tùy theo sức họ nghe được.
34 And without parables spake hee nothing vnto them: but he expounded all thinges to his disciples apart.
Ngài chẳng hề giảng cho chúng mà không dùng thí dụ; nhưng, khi ở riêng, Ngài cắt nghĩa hết cho môn đồ mình.
35 Nowe the same day when euen was come, he saide vnto them, Let vs passe ouer vnto the other side.
Đến chiều ngày ấy, Ngài phán cùng môn đồ rằng: Chúng ta hãy qua bờ bên kia.
36 And they left the multitude, and tooke him as he was in the shippe, and there were also with him other little shippes.
Khi cho dân chúng tan về rồi, Đức Chúa Jêsus cứ ở trong thuyền, và môn đồ đưa Ngài đi; cũng có các thuyền khác cùng đi nữa.
37 And there arose a great storme of winde, and the waues dashed into the shippe, so that it was now full.
Vả, có cơn bão lớn nổi lên, sóng tạt vào thuyền, đến nỗi gần đầy nước;
38 And he was in the sterne asleepe on a pillow: and they awoke him, and saide to him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
nhưng Ngài đang ở đằng sau lái, dựa gối mà ngủ. Môn đồ thức Ngài dậy mà thưa rằng: Thầy ôi, thầy không lo chúng ta chết sao?
39 And hee rose vp, and rebuked the winde, and saide vnto the sea, Peace, and be still. So the winde ceased, and it was a great calme.
Ngài bèn thức dậy, quở gió và phán cùng biển rằng: Hãy êm đi, lặng đi! Gió liền dứt và đều yên lặng như tờ.
40 Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye so fearefull? how is it that ye haue no faith?
Đoạn, Ngài phán cùng môn đồ rằng: Sao các ngươi sợ? Chưa có đức tin sao?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who is this, that both the winde and sea obey him?
Môn đồ kinh hãi lắm, nói với nhau rằng: Vậy thì người nầy là ai, mà gió và biển cũng đều vâng lịnh người?
