Mark 14
1 And two daies after followed the feast of the Passeouer, and of vnleauened bread: and the hie Priests, and Scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
೧ಪಸ್ಕಹಬ್ಬ ಎಂದರೆ ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಉಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
2 But they sayde, Not in the feast day, least there be any tumult among the people.
೨“ಆದರೆ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರು ದಂಗೆ ಎದ್ದಾರು” ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
3 And when hee was in Bethania in the house of Simon the leper, as he sate at table, there came a woman hauing a boxe of oyntment of spikenarde, very costly, and shee brake the boxe, and powred it on his head.
೩ಆತನು ಬೇಥಾನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾದ ಸೀಮೋನನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಊಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಬಹು ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಜಟಮಾಂಸಿ ತೈಲದ ಭರಣಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ಅದನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿದಳು.
4 Therefore some disdained among themselues, and sayde, To what ende is this waste of oyntment?
೪ಆದರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, “ಈ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ವ್ಯರ್ಥಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇಕೆ?
5 For it might haue bene sold for more then three hundreth pence, and bene giuen vnto the poore, and they murmured against her.
೫ಇದನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಬೆಲೆಗೆ ಮಾರಿ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಹುದಾಗಿತ್ತಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸಿದರು.
6 But Iesus saide, Let her alone: why trouble yee her? shee hath wrought a good worke on me.
೬ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು, “ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ, ಆಕೆಗೆ ಏಕೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೀರಿ? ಈಕೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
7 For yee haue the poore with you alwaies, and when yee will yee may doe them good, but me yee shall not haue alwaies.
೭ಬಡವರು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಿಮಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಬಂದಾಗ ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವಾಗಲಾದರೂ ಉಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
8 She hath done that she coulde: she came afore hand to anoynt my body to the burying.
೮ಈಕೆಯು ತನ್ನಿಂದಾದಷ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಈಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಶವಸಂಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿಯೇ ಈ ತೈಲದಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
9 Verely I say vnto you, wheresoeuer this Gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done, shalbe spoken of in remembrance of her.
೯ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರಲ್ಪಡುವುದೋ ಅಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಈಕೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಹ ಈಕೆಯ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
10 Then Iudas Iscariot, one of the twelue, went away vnto the hie Priestes, to betray him vnto them.
೧೦ಆಗ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಇಸ್ಕರಿಯೋತ ಯೂದನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡಲು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised that they woulde giue him monie: therefore he sought howe he might conueniently betraie him.
೧೧ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, ನಿನಗೆ ಹಣಕೊಡುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅಂದಿನಿಂದ ಯೂದನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾದ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
12 Nowe the first day of vnleauened bread, when they sacrificed the Passeouer, his disciples sayde vnto him, Where wilt thou that we goe and prepare, that thou mayest eate the Passeouer?
೧೨ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನ ಅಂದರೆ ಪಸ್ಕದ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುವ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಪಸ್ಕದ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡಲು ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೇಳು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
13 Then hee sent foorth two of his disciples, and sayde vnto them, Goe yee into the citie, and there shall a man meete you bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
೧೩ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿದ ನೀರಿನ ಕೊಡವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
14 And whithersoeuer he goeth in, say yee to the good man of the house, The Master sayeth, Where is the lodging where I shall eate the Passeouer with my disciples?
೧೪ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನೋ ಆ ಮನೆಯ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ, ‘ನಮ್ಮ ಗುರು, ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಪಸ್ಕದ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡಲು ಕೊಠಡಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ?’ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿರಿ.
15 And he wil shewe you an vpper chamber which is large, trimmed and prepared: there make it readie for vs.
೧೫“ಅವನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರುವ ಮೇಲಂತಸ್ತಿನ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಕೊಠಡಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತೋರಿಸುವನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಭೋಜನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
16 So his disciples went foorth, and came to the citie, and found as he had said vnto them, and made readie the Passeouer.
೧೬ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಹೊರಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸು ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.
17 And at euen he came with the twelue.
೧೭ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ಆತನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದನು.
18 And as they sate at table and did eate, Iesus said, Verely I say vnto you, that one of you shall betray me, which eateth with me.
೧೮ಅವರು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಯೇಸು, “ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವನು ಎಂದು ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದನು.
19 Then they began to be sorowful and to say to him one by one, Is it I? And another, Is it I?
೧೯ಆಗ ಅವರು ಬಹು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬರಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ “ನಾನಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳತೊಡಗಿದರು.
20 And he answered and sayde vnto them, It is one of the twelue that dippeth with mee in the platter.
೨೦ಆತನು ಉತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ “ಅವನು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು. ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಟ್ಟಲಲ್ಲಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅದ್ದುವವನೇ.
21 Truely the Sonne of man goeth his way, as it is written of him: but woe bee to that man, by whome the Sonne of man is betrayed: it had beene good for that man, if hee had neuer beene borne.
೨೧ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಸರಿ, ಆದರೆ ಯಾರು ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವನೋ ಅವನ ದುರ್ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲಿ? ಅವನು ಹುಟ್ಟದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿತ್ತು” ಅಂದನು.
22 And as they did eate, Iesus tooke the bread, and when hee had giuen thankes, he brake it and gaue it to them, and sayde, Take, eate, this is my bodie.
೨೨ಅವರು ಊಟಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಯೇಸು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿ ಮುರಿದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾ “ಇದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ಇದು ನನ್ನ ದೇಹ” ಎಂದನು.
23 Also he tooke the cuppe, and when he had giuen thankes, gaue it to them: and they all dranke of it.
೨೩ತರುವಾಯ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತಾಸುತ್ತಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅದರಿಂದ ಕುಡಿದರು.
24 And he saide vnto them, This is my blood of that newe Testament, which is shed for many.
೨೪ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇದು ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ತ, ಬಹು ಜನರಿಗಾಗಿ ಸುರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ರಕ್ತ.
25 Verely I say vnto you, I wil drinke no more of the fruit of ye vine vntill that day, that I drinke it newe in the kingdome of God.
೨೫ನಿಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ; ನಾನು ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ದಿನದವರೆಗೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದನು.
26 And when they had sung a Psalme, they went out to the mount of Oliues.
೨೬ಬಳಿಕ ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಕೀರ್ತನೆ ಹಾಡಿ ಎಣ್ಣೆಮರಗಳ ಗುಡ್ಡಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
27 Then Iesus said vnto them, Al ye shall be offended by mee this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepheard, and the sheepe shall be scattered.
೨೭ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಿರಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ; “‘ನಾನುಕುರುಬನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವೆನು; ಕುರಿಗಳು ಚದರಿ ಹೋಗುವವು’ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂದನು.
28 But after that I am risen, I will goe into Galile before you.
೨೮ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ಸತ್ತು ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎದ್ದಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಗಲಿಲಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
29 And Peter saide vnto him, Although all men should be offended at thee, yet would not I.
೨೯ಪೇತ್ರನು ಯೇಸುವಿಗೆ, “ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
30 Then Iesus saide vnto him, Verely I say vnto thee, this day, euen in this night, before the cocke crowe twise, thou shalt denie me thrise.
೩೦ಯೇಸುವು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ ಇಂದು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇಕೋಳಿ ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಕೂಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಮೂರು ಸಾರಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವೆ” ಎಂದನು.
31 But he saide more earnestly. If I shoulde die with thee, I will not denie thee: likewise also saide they all.
೩೧ಆದರೆ ಅವನು, “ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದರೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು” ಬಹು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಶಿಷ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
32 After, they came into a place named Gethsemane: then hee saide to his disciples, Sit yee here, till I haue praied.
೩೨ಅವರು ಗೆತ್ಸೇಮನೆ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ತನಕ, ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
33 And hee tooke with him Peter, and Iames, and Iohn, and hee began to be troubled, and in great heauinesse,
೩೩ಪೇತ್ರ, ಯಾಕೋಬ, ಯೋಹಾನರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಬಹು ಬೆಚ್ಚಿಬೆರಗಾಗಿ ಮನಗುಂದಿದವನಾದನು.
34 And saide vnto them, My soule is very heauie, euen vnto the death: tarie here, and watch.
೩೪ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ “ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಸಾಯುವಷ್ಟು ದುಃಖಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದೆ ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲೇ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
35 So he went forward a litle, and fell downe on the ground, and praied, that if it were possible, that houre might passe from him.
೩೫ಆತನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾದರೆ ಆ ಗಳಿಗೆಯು ತನ್ನಿಂದ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
36 And he saide, Abba, Father, all things are possible vnto thee: take away this cup from me: neuertheles not that I will, but that thou wilt, be done.
೩೬“ಅಪ್ಪಾ, ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಈ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡು ಆದರೂ ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತಲ್ಲ ನಿನ್ನ ಚಿತ್ತದಂತೆಯೇ ಆಗಲಿ” ಎಂದನು.
37 Then hee came, and founde them sleeping, and said to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watche one houre?
೩೭ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆತನು ಬಂದು ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಪೇತ್ರನಿಗೆ, “ಸೀಮೋನನೇ, ನೀನು ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆಯಾ? ಒಂದು ಗಳಿಗೆಯಾದರೂ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿರಲಾರೆಯಾ?
38 Watch ye, and pray, that ye enter not into tentation: the spirite in deede is ready, but the flesh is weake.
೩೮ಶೋಧನೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿರಿ. ಆತ್ಮವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲ ಸಾಲದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
39 And againe hee went away, and praied, and spake the same wordes.
೩೯ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಪುನಃ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದೇ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದನು.
40 And he returned, and founde them a sleepe againe: for their eyes were heauie: neither knewe they what they should answere him.
೪೦ಯೇಸು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರು ಪುನಃ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಭಾರವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಮತ್ತು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಏನು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
41 And he came the third time, and said vnto them, Sleepe henceforth, and take your rest: it is ynough: the houre is come: beholde, the Sonne of man is deliuered into the hands of sinners.
೪೧ಆತನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, “ನೀವು ಇನ್ನು ನಿದ್ರಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವಿರಾ? ಸಾಕು, ಆ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪಿಸಿದೆ; ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
42 Rise vp: let vs go: loe, he that betraieth me, is at hand.
೪೨ಏಳಿರಿ, ಹೋಗೋಣ. ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಾಪಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವವನು ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ನೋಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
43 And immediatly while hee yet spake, came Iudas that was one of the twelue, and with him a great multitude with swordes and staues from the hie Priests, and Scribes, and Elders.
೪೩ಯೇಸು ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರುವಾಗಲೇ, ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದ ಯೂದನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರಿಯರ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ಗುಂಪು ಖಡ್ಗ, ದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
44 And he that betraied him, had giuen them a token, saying, Whomsoeuer I shall kisse, he it is: take him and leade him away safely.
೪೪ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಡುವವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಡುವೆನೊ ಅವನೇ ಆತನು! ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಮೊದಲೇ ಸೂಚನೆಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು.
45 And assoone as hee was come, hee went straightway to him, and saide, Haile Master, and kissed him.
೪೫ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಯೂದನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವನು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, “ಗುರುವೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು.
46 Then they laide their handes on him, and tooke him.
೪೬ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಹಾಕಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದರು.
47 And one of them that stoode by, drewe out a sword, and smote a seruant of the hie Priest, and cut off his eare.
೪೭ಆದರೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಆಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನ ಕಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ಹಾಕಿದನು.
48 And Iesus answered and saide to them, Ye be come out as against a thiefe with swordes, and with staues, to take me.
೪೮ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಾಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ದರೋಡೆಗಾರನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಖಡ್ಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿರಾ?
49 I was daily with you teaching in the Temple, and yee tooke me not: but this is done that the Scriptures should be fulfilled.
೪೯ನಾನು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದದ್ದು ನೆರವೇರುವಂತೆ ಹೀಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಯಿತು” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
50 Then they all forsooke him, and fled.
೫೦ಆಗ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡವಿದ್ದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
51 And there followed him a certaine yong man, clothed in linnen vpon his bare bodie, and the yong men caught him.
೫೧ಆಗ ಯುವಕನೊಬ್ಬನು ಮೈಮೇಲೆ ನಾರುಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು;
52 But he left his linnen cloth, and fled from them naked.
೫೨ಅವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲೂ ಅವನು ಆ ನಾರುಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬರೀ ಮೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡಿಹೋದನು.
53 So they led Iesus away to the hie Priest, and to him came together all the hie Priestes, and the Elders, and the Scribes.
೫೩ಅವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು. ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, ಹಿರಿಯರು, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡಿಬಂದರು.
54 And Peter folowed him afarre off, euen into the hall of the hie Priest, and sate with the seruants, and warmed himselfe at the fire.
೫೪ಮತ್ತು ಪೇತ್ರನು ದೂರದಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ಅಂಗಳದೊಳಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸೇರಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಕುಳಿತು ಚಳಿ ಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
55 And the hie Priests, and all the Councill sought for witnesse against Iesus, to put him to death, but found none.
೫೫ಆಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಿರೀಸಭೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಆತನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಒಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯವೂ ದೊರಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
56 For many bare false witnesse against him, but their witnesse agreed not together.
೫೬ಅನೇಕರು ಬಂದು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಅವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಸರಿಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ.
57 Then there arose certaine, and bare false witnesse against him, saying,
೫೭ತರುವಾಯ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು, “‘ಇವನು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟದಿರುವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆನು’ ಎಂದು ಈತನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
58 We hearde him say, I will destroy this Temple made with hands, and within three daies I will builde another, made without hands.

59 But their witnesse yet agreed not together.
೫೯ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಅವರ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಸರಿಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ.
60 Then the hie Priest stoode vp amongst them, and asked Iesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is the matter that these beare witnesse against thee?
೬೦ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಂತು, “ನೀನೇನೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ಇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಳುವ ಈ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
61 But hee helde his peace, and answered nothing. Againe the hie Priest asked him, and sayde vnto him, Art thou that Christ the Sonne of the Blessed?
೬೧ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಡದೆ ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಪುನಃ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು, “ನೀನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೋ, ಸ್ತುತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಕುಮಾರನೋ?” ಎಂದು ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
62 And Iesus said, I am he, and yee shall see the Sonne of man sitte at the right hande of the power of God, and come in the clouds of heauen.
೬೨ಯೇಸುವು “ಹೌದು ನಾನೇ! “ಇದಲ್ಲದೆಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೀನನಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಮೇಘಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವುದನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ನೋಡುವಿರಿ” ಎಂದನು.
63 Then the hie Priest rent his clothes, and sayd, What haue we any more neede of witnesses?
೬೩ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಂಡು, “ಇನ್ನೂ ನಮಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಅಗತ್ಯವೇನಿದೆ?
64 Ye haue heard the blasphemie: what thinke yee? And they all condemned him to be worthie of death.
೬೪ಇವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇವದೂಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದಿರಲ್ಲಾ, ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತೋರುತ್ತದೆ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ, ಇವನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆ ಆಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದರು.
65 And some began to spit at him, and to couer his face, and to beate him with fists, and to say vnto him, Prophesie. And the sergeants smote him with their roddes.
೬೫ಅನಂತರ ಕೆಲವರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ, ಆತನ ಮುಖಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಸುಕನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಗುದ್ದಿ, ಈಗ “ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸು” ಎಂದರು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರು ಆತನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದರು.
66 And as Peter was beneath in the hal, there came one of the maides of the hie Priest.
೬೬ಇತ್ತಲಾಗಿ ಪೇತ್ರನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಅಂಗಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನ ದಾಸಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬಳು ಬಂದು ಅವನು ಚಳಿ ಕಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು,
67 And when shee sawe Peter warming him selfe, shee looked on him, and sayde, Thou wast also with Iesus of Nazareth.
೬೭ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿ, “ನೀನು ಸಹ ಆ ನಜರೇತಿನ ಯೇಸುವಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದವನು” ಎಂದಳು.
68 But he denied it, saying, I knowe him not, neither wot I what thou saiest. Then he went out into the porche, and the cocke crewe.
೬೮ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, “ನೀನು ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಲೂ ಇಲ್ಲ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಖ್ಯದ್ವಾರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಾಂಗಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು.
69 Then a maid sawe him againe, and bega to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
೬೯ಆ ದಾಸಿಯು ಅವನನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ನೋಡಿ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ, “ಇವನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಳು.
70 But hee denied it againe: and anon after, they that stoode by, sayde againe to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art of Galile, and thy speach is like.
೭೦ಆಗ ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೆ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದನು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತವರು ಪೇತ್ರನಿಗೆ, “ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನೀನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು, ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದವನೇ” ಎಂದರು.
71 And he began to curse, and sweare, saying, I knowe not this man of whom ye speake.
೭೧ಆದರೆ ಅವನು, “ನೀವು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ನಾನರಿಯೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಕೋಳಿ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಕೂಗಿತು.
72 Then the seconde time the cocke crewe, and Peter remembred the woorde that Iesus had saide vnto him, Before the cocke crowe twise, thou shalt denie me thrise, and waying that with himselfe, he wept.
೭೨ಆಗ ಪೇತ್ರನು, “ಕೋಳಿ ಎರಡು ಸಾರಿ ಕೂಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ ನಿರಾಕರಿಸುವೆ” ಎಂದು ಯೇಸು ತನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಕಾರಣ, ವ್ಯಥೆಪಟ್ಟು ದುಃಖಭರಿತನಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು.
