Luke 7
1 When hee had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entred into Capernaum.
௧இயேசு தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் மக்கள் கேட்கும்படி சொல்லிமுடித்தபின்பு, கப்பர்நகூமுக்குப் போனார்.
2 And a certaine Ceturions seruant was sicke and readie to die, which was deare vnto him.
௨அங்கே நூறுபேர்கொண்ட படைப்பிரிவின் அதிபதி ஒருவனுக்குப் பிரியமான வேலைக்காரன் வியாதியால் மரணவேதனைப்பட்டான்.
3 And when he heard of Iesus, hee sent vnto him the Elders of the Iewes, beseeching him that he would come, and heale his seruant.
௩அவன் இயேசுவைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவர் வந்து தன் வேலைக்காரனைக் குணமாக்கவேண்டும் என்று, அவரைக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ள யூதர்களுடைய ஆலய மூப்பர்களை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினான்.
4 So they came to Iesus, and besought him instantly, saying that hee was worthy that hee should doe this for him:
௪அவர்கள் இயேசுவினிடத்தில் வந்து, அவரைத் தாழ்மையாக வேண்டிக்கொண்டு: நீர் அவனுக்கு இந்த தயவுசெய்கிறதற்கு அவன் தகுதி உடையவனாக இருக்கிறான்.
5 For he loueth, said they, our nation, and he hath built vs a Synagogue.
௫அவன் நம்முடைய மக்களை நேசித்து, நமக்கு ஒரு ஜெப ஆலயத்தையும் கட்டினான் என்றார்கள்.
6 Then Iesus went with them: but when he was now not farre from the house, the Centurion sent friendes to him, saying vnto him, Lord, trouble not thy selfe: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter vnder my roofe:
௬அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களோடு போனார். வீட்டிற்கு அருகில் சென்றபோது, அந்த படைஅதிபதி தன் நண்பரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இயேசுவிடம்போய், ஆண்டவரே! நீர் வருத்தப்படவேண்டாம்; நீர் என் வீட்டிற்குள் பிரவேசிக்க நான் தகுதியானவன் இல்லை;
7 Wherefore I thought not my selfe worthy to come vnto thee: but say the word, and my seruant shalbe whole:
௭உம்மிடத்திற்கு வர நான் என்னைத் தகுதியானவனாக நினைக்கவில்லை; ஒரு வார்த்தைமட்டும் சொல்லும், அப்பொழுது என் வேலைக்காரன் சுகம் பெறுவான்.
8 For I likewise am a man set vnder authoritie, and haue vnder mee souldiers, and I say vnto one, Goe, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and hee commeth: and to my seruant, Doe this, and he doeth it.
௮நான் அதிகாரத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டவனாக இருந்தாலும், எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடக்கிற போர்வீரர்களும் உண்டு; நான் ஒருவனைப் போ என்றால் போகிறான், மற்றொருவனை வா என்றால் வருகிறான், என் வேலைக்காரனை, இதைச் செய் என்றால் செய்கிறான் என்று நான் சொன்னதாகச் சொல்லுங்கள் என்று அவர்களை அனுப்பினான்.
9 When Iesus heard these things, he marueiled at him, and turned him, and said to the people, that followed him, I say vnto you, I haue not found so great faith, no not in Israel.
௯இயேசு இவைகளைக் கேட்டு அவனைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, அவருக்குப் பின்னே வருகிற மக்களைப் பார்த்து: இஸ்ரவேலரிடத்தில் இப்படிப்பட்ட விசுவாசத்தை நான் இதுவரை கண்டதில்லை என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
10 And when they that were sent, turned backe to the house, they founde the seruant that was sicke, whole.
௧0அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்கள் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பிவந்தபோது, வியாதியாகக்கிடந்த வேலைக்காரன் சுகம் பெற்றிருந்ததைக் கண்டார்கள்.
11 And it came to passe the day after, that he went into a citie called Nain, and many of his disciples went with him, and a great multitude.
௧௧மறுநாளிலே இயேசு நாயீன் என்னும் ஊருக்குப் போனார்; அவருடைய சீடர்களும் திரளான மக்களும் அவரோடு போனார்கள்.
12 Nowe when hee came neere to the gate of the citie, behold, there was a dead man caried out, who was the onely begotten sonne of his mother, which was a widowe, and much people of the citie was with her.
௧௨அவர், அந்த ஊரின் தலைவாசலுக்கு அருகில் வந்தபோது, மரித்துப்போன ஒருவனை அடக்கம்பண்ணுவதற்காக கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் தன் விதவைத் தாய்க்கு ஒரே மகனாக இருந்தான்; அந்த ஊரில் உள்ள அநேக மக்கள் அவளோடு வந்தார்கள்.
13 And when the Lord sawe her, he had compassion on her, and said vnto her, Weepe not.
௧௩இயேசு அவளைப் பார்த்து, அவள்மேல் மனமிரங்கி: அழவேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லி,
14 And he went and touched the coffin (and they that bare him, stoode still) and he said, Yong man, I say vnto thee, Arise.
௧௪அருகில் வந்து, பாடையைத் தொட்டார்; அதைச் சுமந்துகொண்டுவந்தவர்கள் நின்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவர்: வாலிபனே, எழுந்திரு என்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
15 And he that was dead, sate vp, and began to speake, and he deliuered him to his mother.
௧௫மரித்தவன் உயிரோடு எழுந்து உட்கார்ந்து, பேசத்தொடங்கினான். அவனை அவன் தாயாரிடம் ஒப்படைத்தார்.
16 Then there came a feare on them all, and they glorified God, saying, A great Prophet is risen among vs, and God hath visited his people.
௧௬எல்லோரும் பயந்து: மகா தீர்க்கதரிசியானவர் நமக்குள்ளே தோன்றியிருக்கிறார் என்றும், தேவன் தமது மக்களைச் சந்தித்தார் என்றும் சொல்லி, தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தினார்கள்.
17 And this rumour of him went foorth throughout all Iudea, and throughout all the region round about.
௧௭இந்தச் செய்தி யூதேயா நாடு முழுவதும் சுற்றியிருக்கிற பகுதிகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் பிரசித்தமானது.
18 And the disciples of Iohn shewed him of all these things.
௧௮இவைகளையெல்லாம் யோவானுடைய சீடர்கள் அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது யோவான் தன் சீடர்களில் இரண்டுபேரை அழைத்து,
19 So Iohn called vnto him two certaine men of his disciples, and sent them to Iesus, saying, Art thou hee that should come, or shall we waite for another?
௧௯நீங்கள் இயேசுவினிடத்திற்குப்போய்: வருகிறவர் நீர்தானா? அல்லது வேறொருவர் வர நாங்கள் காத்திருக்கவேண்டுமா? என்று கேளுங்கள் என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.
20 And when the men were come vnto him, they said, Iohn Baptist hath sent vs vnto thee, saying, Art thou hee that should come, or shall we waite for another?
௨0அப்படியே அவர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து: வருகிறவர் நீர்தானா? அல்லது வேறொருவர் வர நாங்கள் காத்திருக்கவேண்டுமா? என்று கேட்கும்படி யோவான்ஸ்நானன் எங்களை உம்மிடம் அனுப்பினார் என்றார்கள்.
21 And at that time, he cured many of their sickenesses, and plagues, and of euill spirites, and vnto many blinde men he gaue sight freely.
௨௧அந்த நேரத்திலே நோய்களையும் கொடிய வியாதிகளையும் பொல்லாத ஆவிகளையும் கொண்டிருந்த அநேகரை அவர் குணமாக்கி, அநேக குருடர்களுக்குப் பார்வையளித்தார்.
22 And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Goe your wayes and shewe Iohn, what things ye haue seene and heard: that the blinde see, the halt goe, the lepers are cleansed, the deafe heare, the dead are raised, and the poore receiue the Gospel.
௨௨இயேசு அவர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: நீங்கள் போய், பார்த்தவைகளையும் கேட்டவைகளையும் யோவானுக்கு சொல்லுங்கள்; பார்வையற்றோர் பார்வையடைகிறார்கள், சப்பாணிகள் நடக்கிறார்கள், குஷ்டரோகிகள் சுத்தமாகிறார்கள், காதுகேளாதோர் கேட்கிறார்கள், மரித்தோர் உயிரோடு எழுந்திருக்கிறார்கள், தரித்திரர்களுக்கு நற்செய்தி பிரசங்கிக்கப்படுகிறது.
23 And blessed is hee, that shall not be offended in me.
௨௩என்னிடத்தில் என் செயல்களைக்குறித்து சந்தேகமில்லாமல் விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் பாக்கியவான் என்றார்.
24 And when the messengers of Iohn were departed, hee began to speake vnto the people, of Iohn, What went ye out into the wildernes to see? A reede shaken with the winde?
௨௪யோவானால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்கள் போனபின்பு அவர் யோவானைப்பற்றி மக்களுக்குச் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: எதைப்பார்க்க வனாந்திரத்திற்குப் போனீர்கள்? காற்றினால் அசைகின்ற புல்லையோ?
25 But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft rayment? beholde, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and liue delicately, are in Kings courtes.
௨௫இல்லையென்றால், எதைப்பார்க்கப் போனீர்கள்? விலையுயர்ந்த ஆடை அணிந்த மனிதனையோ? அலங்கார ஆடை அணிந்து சுகபோகமாக வாழ்கிறவர்கள் அரசருடைய மாளிகைகளிலே இருக்கிறார்கள்.
26 But what went ye foorth to see? A Prophet? yea, I say to you, and greater then a Prophet.
௨௬இல்லையென்றால், எதைப்பார்க்கப் போனீர்கள்? தீர்க்கதரிசியையோ? ஆம், தீர்க்கதரிசியைவிட உயர்ந்தவனையே என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
27 This is he of whom it is written, Beholde, I sende my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
௨௭இதோ, நான் என் தூதுவனை உமக்கு முன்பாக அனுப்புகிறேன்; அவன் உமக்குமுன்னேபோய், உமது வழியை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுவான் என்று எழுதிய வாக்கியத்தில் சொல்லப்பட்டவன் இவன்தான்.
28 For I say vnto you, there is no greater Prophet then Iohn, among them that are begotten of women: neuerthelesse, hee that is the least in the kingdome of God, is greater then he.
௨௮பெண்களிடத்திலே பிறந்தவர்களில் யோவான்ஸ்நானனைவிட பெரிய தீர்க்கதரிசி ஒருவனும் இல்லை; ஆனாலும், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் சிறியவனாக இருக்கிறவன் அவனைவிட பெரியவனாக இருக்கிறான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.
29 Then all the people that heard, and the Publicanes iustified God, being baptized with the baptisme of Iohn.
௨௯யோவானுடைய உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்ட வரி வசூலிப்பவர்களும், மக்களும் அவனிடம் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்று, தேவன் நீதியுள்ளவர் என்று அறிக்கை செய்தார்கள்.
30 But the Pharises and the expounders of the Law despised the counsell of God against themselues, and were not baptized of him.
௩0ஆனால், பரிசேயர்களும் நியாயப்பண்டிதர்களும் அவனிடம் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறாமல் தேவனுடைய ஆலோசனையைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார்கள்.
31 And the Lord saide, Whereunto shall I liken the men of this generation? and what thing are they like vnto?
௩௧மறுபடியும் இயேசு சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்: இந்த வம்சத்தை யாருக்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்? இவர்கள் யாருக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள்?
32 They are like vnto litle children sitting in the market place, and crying one to another, and saying, We haue piped vnto you, and ye haue not daunced: we haue mourned to you, and ye haue not wept.
௩௨சந்தைகளில் உட்கார்ந்து, ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து: உங்களுக்காக புல்லாங்குழல் ஊதினோம், நீங்கள் கூத்தாடவில்லை; உங்களுக்காகப் புலம்பினோம், நீங்கள் அழவில்லை என்று குறைசொல்லுகிற குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஒப்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
33 For Iohn Baptist came, neither eating bread, nor drinking wine: and ye say, He hath the deuil.
௩௩யோவான்ஸ்நானன் அப்பம் புசியாதவனும் திராட்சைரசம் குடிக்காதவனுமாக வந்தான்; அதற்கு நீங்கள்: அவன் பிசாசு பிடித்திருக்கிறவன் என்கிறீர்கள்.
34 The Sonne of man is come, and eateth and drinketh: and ye say, Beholde, a man which is a glutton, and a drinker of wine, a friend of Publicanes and sinners:
௩௪மனிதகுமாரன் சாப்பிட வந்தார்; அதற்கு நீங்கள்: இதோ, சாப்பாட்டுப்பிரியனும் மதுபானப்பிரியனுமான மனிதன், வரி வசூலிப்பவர்களுக்கும் பாவிகளுக்கும் சிநேகிதன் என்கிறீர்கள்.
35 But wisdome is iustified of all her children.
௩௫ஆனாலும் ஞானமானது அதின் குழந்தைகளால் நீதியுள்ளதென்று நிரூபிக்கப்படும் என்றார்.
36 And one of the Pharises desired him that hee would eate with him: and hee went into the Pharises house, and sate downe at table.
௩௬பரிசேயர்களில் ஒருவன் தன்னுடனே சாப்பிடவேண்டுமென்று அவரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அவர் அந்தப் பரிசேயனுடைய வீட்டிற்குச் சென்று சாப்பிட உட்கார்ந்தார்.
37 And beholde, a woman in the citie, which was a sinner, when she knewe that Iesus sate at table in the Pharises house, shee brought a boxe of oyntment.
௩௭அப்பொழுது அந்த ஊரிலிருந்த பாவியாகிய ஒரு பெண் அவர் பரிசேயன் வீட்டிலே உண்பதை அறிந்து, ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில் பரிமளதைலம் கொண்டுவந்து,
38 And shee stoode at his feete behinde him weeping, and began to wash his feete with teares, and did wipe them with the heares of her head, and kissed his feete, and anoynted them with the oyntment.
௩௮அவருடைய பாதங்களின் அருகே நின்று அழுதுகொண்டு, அவருடைய பாதங்களைத் தன் கண்ணீரினால் நனைத்து, தன் தலைமயிரினால் துடைத்து, அவருடைய பாதங்களை முத்தம் செய்து, பரிமளதைலத்தைப் பூசினாள்.
39 Nowe when the Pharise which bade him, saw it, he spake within himselfe, saying, If this man were a Prophet, hee woulde surely haue knowen who, and what maner of woman this is which toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
௩௯அவரை அழைத்த பரிசேயன் அதை பார்த்தபோது, இவர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாக இருந்தால் தம்மைத் தொடுகிற பெண் எப்படிப்பட்டவள் என்று அறிந்திருப்பார்; இவள் பாவியாக இருக்கிறாளே என்று தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்.
40 And Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Simon, I haue somewhat to say vnto thee. And he said, Master, say on.
௪0இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: சீமோனே, உனக்கு நான் ஒரு விஷயம் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்றார் அதற்கு அவன்: போதகரே, சொல்லும் என்றான்.
41 There was a certaine lender which had two detters: the one ought fiue hundreth pence, and the other fiftie:
௪௧அப்பொழுது அவர்: ஒருவனிடத்தில் இரண்டுபேர் கடன்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; ஒருவன் ஐந்நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசும், மற்றவன் ஐம்பது வெள்ளிக்காசும் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.
42 When they had nothing to pay, he forgaue them both: Which of them therefore, tell mee, will loue him most?
௪௨வாங்கிய கடனை திரும்பக்கொடுக்க அவர்களுக்கு முடியாததால், இருவருடைய கடன்களையும் மன்னித்துவிட்டான். இப்படியிருக்க, அவர்களில் எவன் அவனிடத்தில் அதிக அன்பாக இருப்பான்? அதைச் சொல் என்றார்.
43 Simon answered, and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgaue most. And he said vnto him, Thou hast truely iudged.
௪௩சீமோன் மறுமொழியாக: எவனுக்கு அதிகமாக மன்னித்துவிட்டானோ அவனே அதிக அன்பாக இருப்பான் என்று நினைக்கிறேன் என்றான்; அதற்கு அவர்: சரியாக நினைத்தாய் என்று சொல்லி,
44 Then he turned to the woman, and said vnto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entred into thine house, and thou gauest mee no water to my feete: but she hath washed my feete with teares, and wiped them with the heares of her head.
௪௪பெண்ணின் பக்கம் அவர் திரும்பி, சீமோனை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெண்ணைப் பார்க்கிறாயே; நான் உன் வீட்டிற்கு வந்தேன், நீ என் கால்களைக் கழுவத் தண்ணீர் தரவில்லை, இவளோ, கண்ணீரினால் என் கால்களை நனைத்து, தன் தலைமயிரினால் அவைகளைத் துடைத்தாள்.
45 Thou gauest me no kisse: but she, since the time I came in, hath not ceased to kisse my feete.
௪௫நீ என்னை முத்தம் செய்யவில்லை, இவளோ, நான் இங்கு வந்தது முதல், என் பாதங்களை ஓயாமல் முத்தம் செய்தாள்.
46 Mine head with oyle thou didest not anoint: but she hath anoynted my feete with oyntment.
௪௬நீ என் தலையில் எண்ணெய் பூசவில்லை, இவளோ என் பாதங்களில் பரிமளதைலம் பூசினாள்.
47 Wherefore I say vnto thee, many sinnes are forgiuen her: for she loued much. To whom a litle is forgiuen, he doeth loue a litle.
௪௭ஆதலால் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்: இவள் செய்த அநேக பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது; இவள் மிகவும் அன்புகூர்ந்தாளே. எவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சம் மன்னிக்கப்படுகிறதோ, அவன் கொஞ்சமாக அன்பு செலுத்துவான் என்று சொல்லி;
48 And he saide vnto her, Thy sinnes are forgiuen thee.
௪௮அவளை நோக்கி: உன் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டது என்றார்.
49 And they that sate at table with him, began to say within themselues, Who is this that euen forgiueth sinnes?
௪௯அப்பொழுது அவரோடு சாப்பிட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள்: பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கிற இவன் யார் என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.
50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saued thee: goe in peace.
௫0இயேசு அந்தப் பெண்ணைப் பார்த்து: உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது, சமாதானத்தோடு போ என்றார்.
