Luke 24
1 Nowe the first day of the weeke early in the morning, they came vnto the sepulchre, and brought the odours, which they had prepared, and certaine women with them.
Pero el primer día de la semana, al amanecer, llegaron al sepulcro con otras personas, trayendo las especias que habían preparado.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre,
Encontraron la piedra removida del sepulcro.
3 And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Iesus.
Entraron y no encontraron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús.
4 And it came to passe, that as they were amased thereat, beholde, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures.
Mientras estaban muy desconcertadas por esto, he aquí que se les presentaron dos hombres con ropas deslumbrantes.
5 And as they were afraide, and bowed downe their faces to the earth, they sayd to them, Why seeke ye him that liueth, among the dead?
Aterrados, bajaron el rostro a la tierra. Los hombres les dijeron: “¿Por qué buscáis al vivo entre los muertos?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile,
No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado. ¿Recordáis lo que os dijo cuando aún estaba en Galilea,
7 Saying, that the sonne of man must be deliuered into the hands of sinfull men, and be crucified, and the third day rise againe.
diciendo que el Hijo del Hombre debía ser entregado en manos de hombres pecadores y ser crucificado, y al tercer día resucitar?”
8 And they remembred his wordes,
Se acordaron de sus palabras,
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and tolde all these things vnto the eleuen, and to all the remnant.
volvieron del sepulcro y contaron todas estas cosas a los once y a todos los demás.
10 Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Ioanna, and Mary the mother of Iames, and other women with them, which tolde these things vnto the Apostles.
Eran María Magdalena, Juana y María la madre de Santiago. Las otras mujeres que estaban con ellas contaron estas cosas a los apóstoles.
11 But their wordes seemed vnto them, as a fained thing, neither beleeued they them.
Estas palabras les parecieron una tontería, y no las creyeron.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.
Pero Pedro se levantó y corrió al sepulcro. Al agacharse y mirar dentro, vio las tiras de lino tendidas por sí solas, y se marchó a su casa, preguntándose qué había pasado.
13 And beholde, two of them went that same day to a towne which was from Hierusalem about threescore furlongs, called Emmaus.
He aquí que dos de ellos iban aquel mismo día a una aldea llamada Emaús, que estaba a sesenta estadios de Jerusalén.
14 And they talked together of al these things that were done.
Hablaban entre sí de todas estas cosas que habían sucedido.
15 And it came to passe, as they communed together, and reasoned, that Iesus himselfe drewe neere, and went with them.
Mientras hablaban y preguntaban juntos, el mismo Jesús se acercó y fue con ellos.
16 But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him.
Pero los ojos de ellos no le reconocían.
17 And he sayd vnto them, What maner of communications are these that ye haue one to another as ye walke and are sad?
Él les dijo: “¿De qué habláis mientras camináis y estáis tristes?”
18 And the one (named Cleopas) answered, and sayd vnto him, Art thou onely a stranger in Hierusalem, and hast not knowen the things which are come to passe therein in these dayes?
Uno de ellos, llamado Cleofás, le respondió: “¿Eres tú el único forastero en Jerusalén que no sabe las cosas que han sucedido allí en estos días?”
19 And he said vnto them, What things? And they sayd vnto him, Of Iesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mightie in deede and in word before God, and all people,
Les dijo: “¿Qué cosas?” Le dijeron: “Lo que se refiere a Jesús el Nazareno, que fue un profeta poderoso en obra y en palabra ante Dios y ante todo el pueblo;
20 And howe the hie Priests, and our rulers deliuered him to be condemned to death, and haue crucified him.
y cómo los jefes de los sacerdotes y nuestros gobernantes lo entregaron para que fuera condenado a muerte, y lo crucificaron.
21 But we trusted that it had bene he that should haue deliuered Israel, and as touching all these things, to day is ye third day, that they were done.
Pero nosotros esperábamos que fuera él quien redimiera a Israel. Sí, y además de todo esto, ya es el tercer día desde que sucedieron estas cosas.
22 Yea, and certaine women among vs made vs astonied, which came early vnto the sepulchre.
También nos sorprendieron algunas mujeres de nuestra compañía, que llegaron temprano al sepulcro;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seene a vision of Angels, which sayd, that he was aliue.
y al no encontrar su cuerpo, vinieron diciendo que también habían visto una visión de ángeles, que decían que estaba vivo.
24 Therefore certaine of them which were with vs, went to the sepulchre, and found it euen so as the women had sayd, but him they saw not.
Algunos de nosotros fueron al sepulcro y lo encontraron tal como habían dicho las mujeres, pero no lo vieron.”
25 Then he sayd vnto them, O fooles and slowe of heart to beleeue all that the Prophets haue spoken!
Les dijo: “¡Pueblo necio y lento de corazón para creer en todo lo que han dicho los profetas!
26 Ought not Christ to haue suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
¿No tenía el Cristo que sufrir estas cosas y entrar en su gloria?”
27 And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted vnto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him.
Empezando por Moisés y por todos los profetas, les explicó en todas las Escrituras lo que se refería a él.
28 And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further.
Se acercaron a la aldea a la que se dirigían, y él actuó como si fuera a ir más lejos.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, and the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.
Le instaron, diciendo: “Quédate con nosotros, porque ya está anocheciendo y el día está por terminar”. Entró para quedarse con ellos.
30 And it came to passe, as hee sate at table with them, he tooke the bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gaue it to them.
Cuando se sentó a la mesa con ellos, tomó el pan y dio gracias. Lo partió y se lo dio.
31 Then their eyes were opened, and they knewe him: and he was no more seene of them.
Se les abrieron los ojos y le reconocieron; luego desapareció de su vista.
32 And they saide betweene themselues, Did not our heartes burne within vs, while he talked with vs by the way, and when he opened to vs the Scriptures?
Se decían unos a otros: “¿No ardía nuestro corazón mientras nos hablaba por el camino y nos abría las Escrituras?”
33 And they rose vp the same houre, and returned to Hierusalem, and found the Eleuen gathered together, and them that were with them,
Se levantaron en aquella misma hora, volvieron a Jerusalén y encontraron reunidos a los once y a los que estaban con ellos,
34 Which said, The Lord is risen in deede, and hath appeared to Simon.
diciendo: “¡El Señor ha resucitado realmente y se ha aparecido a Simón!”
35 Then they tolde what things were done in the way, and howe he was knowen of them in breaking of bread.
Contaron las cosas que habían sucedido en el camino, y cómo fue reconocido por ellos al partir el pan.
36 And as they spake these things, Iesus himselfe stoode in the middes of them, and saide vnto them, Peace be to you.
Mientras decían estas cosas, Jesús mismo se puso en medio de ellos y les dijo: “La paz sea con vosotros”.
37 But they were abashed and afraide, supposing that they had seene a spirit.
Pero ellos se aterraron y se llenaron de miedo, y supusieron que habían visto un espíritu.
38 Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore doe doutes arise in your hearts?
Les dijo: “¿Por qué estáis turbados? ¿Por qué surgen dudas en vuestros corazones?
39 Beholde mine handes and my feete: for it is I my selfe: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me haue.
Ved mis manos y mis pies, que en verdad soy yo. Tóquenme y vean, porque un espíritu no tiene carne ni huesos, como ven que yo tengo”.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and feete.
Cuando hubo dicho esto, les mostró sus manos y sus pies.
41 And while they yet beleeued not for ioy, and wondred, he saide vnto them, Haue ye here any meate?
Mientras ellos todavía no creían de alegría y se preguntaban, les dijo: “¿Tenéis aquí algo de comer?”
42 And they gaue him a piece of a broyled fish, and of an honie combe,
Le dieron un trozo de pescado asado y un panal de miel.
43 And hee tooke it, and did eate before them.
Él los tomó y comió delante de ellos.
44 And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes.
Les dijo: “Esto es lo que os dije mientras estaba con vosotros, que era necesario que se cumpliera todo lo que está escrito en la ley de Moisés, en los profetas y en los salmos acerca de mí.”
45 Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,
Entonces les abrió el entendimiento para que comprendieran las Escrituras.
46 And said vnto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer, and to rise againe from the dead the third day,
Les dijo: “Así está escrito, y así fue necesario que el Cristo padeciera y resucitara de entre los muertos al tercer día,
47 And that repentance, and remission of sinnes should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Hierusalem.
y que se predicara en su nombre el arrepentimiento y la remisión de los pecados a todas las naciones, empezando por Jerusalén.
48 Nowe ye are witnesses of these things.
Vosotros sois testigos de estas cosas.
49 And beholde, I doe sende the promise of my Father vpon you: but tary ye in the citie of Hierusalem, vntill ye be endued with power from an hie.
He aquí que yo envío sobre vosotros la promesa de mi Padre. Pero esperad en la ciudad de Jerusalén hasta que seáis revestidos del poder de lo alto”.
50 Afterward he lead them out into Bethania, and lift vp his hands, and blessed them.
Los condujo hasta Betania, y alzando las manos los bendijo.
51 And it came to passe, that as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was caried vp into heauen.
Mientras los bendecía, se apartó de ellos y fue llevado al cielo.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Hierusalem with great ioy,
Ellos le adoraron y volvieron a Jerusalén con gran alegría,
53 And were continually in the Temple, praysing, and lauding God, Amen.
y estaban continuamente en el templo, alabando y bendiciendo a Dios. Amén.
