Luke 24
1 Nowe the first day of the weeke early in the morning, they came vnto the sepulchre, and brought the odours, which they had prepared, and certaine women with them.
අථ සප්තාහප්‍රථමදිනේ(අ)තිප්‍රත්‍යූෂේ තා යෝෂිතඃ සම්පාදිතං සුගන්ධිද්‍රව්‍යං ගෘහීත්වා තදන්‍යාභිඃ කියතීභිඃ ස්ත්‍රීභිඃ සහ ශ්මශානං යයුඃ|
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre,
කින්තු ශ්මශානද්වාරාත් පාෂාණමපසාරිතං දෘෂ්ට්වා
3 And went in, but found not the body of the Lord Iesus.
තාඃ ප්‍රවිශ්‍ය ප්‍රභෝ ර්දේහමප්‍රාප්‍ය
4 And it came to passe, that as they were amased thereat, beholde, two men suddenly stood by them in shining vestures.
ව්‍යාකුලා භවන්ති ඒතර්හි තේජෝමයවස්ත්‍රාන්විතෞ ද්වෞ පුරුෂෞ තාසාං සමීපේ සමුපස්ථිතෞ
5 And as they were afraide, and bowed downe their faces to the earth, they sayd to them, Why seeke ye him that liueth, among the dead?
තස්මාත්තාඃ ශඞ්කායුක්තා භූමාවධෝමුඛ්‍යස්‍යස්ථුඃ| තදා තෞ තා ඌචතු ර්මෘතානාං මධ්‍යේ ජීවන්තං කුතෝ මෘගයථ?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake vnto you, when he was yet in Galile,
සෝත්‍ර නාස්ති ස උදස්ථාත්|
7 Saying, that the sonne of man must be deliuered into the hands of sinfull men, and be crucified, and the third day rise againe.
පාපිනාං කරේෂු සමර්පිතේන ක්‍රුශේ හතේන ච මනුෂ්‍යපුත්‍රේණ තෘතීයදිවසේ ශ්මශානාදුත්ථාතව්‍යම් ඉති කථාං ස ගලීලි තිෂ්ඨන් යුෂ්මභ්‍යං කථිතවාන් තාං ස්මරත|
8 And they remembred his wordes,
තදා තස්‍ය සා කථා තාසාං මනඃසු ජාතා|
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and tolde all these things vnto the eleuen, and to all the remnant.
අනන්තරං ශ්මශානාද් ගත්වා තා ඒකාදශශිෂ්‍යාදිභ්‍යඃ සර්ව්වේභ්‍යස්තාං වාර්ත්තාං කථයාමාසුඃ|
10 Now it was Mary Magdalene, and Ioanna, and Mary the mother of Iames, and other women with them, which tolde these things vnto the Apostles.
මග්දලීනීමරියම්, යෝහනා, යාකූබෝ මාතා මරියම් තදන්‍යාඃ සඞ්ගින්‍යෝ යෝෂිතශ්ච ප්‍රේරිතේභ්‍ය ඒතාඃ සර්ව්වා වාර්ත්තාඃ කථයාමාසුඃ
11 But their wordes seemed vnto them, as a fained thing, neither beleeued they them.
කින්තු තාසාං කථාම් අනර්ථකාඛ්‍යානමාත්‍රං බුද්ධ්වා කෝපි න ප්‍රත්‍යෛත්|
12 Then arose Peter, and ran vnto the sepulchre, and looked in, and saw the linnen clothes laide by themselues, and departed wondering in himselfe at that which was come to passe.
තදා පිතර උත්ථාය ශ්මශානාන්තිකං දධාව, තත්‍ර ච ප්‍රහ්වෝ භූත්වා පාර්ශ්වෛකස්ථාපිතං කේවලං වස්ත්‍රං දදර්ශ; තස්මාදාශ්චර‍්‍ය්‍යං මන්‍යමානෝ යදඝටත තන්මනසි විචාරයන් ප්‍රතස්ථේ|
13 And beholde, two of them went that same day to a towne which was from Hierusalem about threescore furlongs, called Emmaus.
තස්මින්නේව දිනේ ද්වෞ ශිය්‍යෞ යිරූශාලමශ්චතුෂ්ක්‍රෝශාන්තරිතම් ඉම්මායුග්‍රාමං ගච්ඡන්තෞ
14 And they talked together of al these things that were done.
තාසාං ඝටනානාං කථාමකථයතාං
15 And it came to passe, as they communed together, and reasoned, that Iesus himselfe drewe neere, and went with them.
තයෝරාලාපවිචාරයෝඃ කාලේ යීශුරාගත්‍ය තාභ්‍යාං සහ ජගාම
16 But their eyes were holden, that they could not know him.
කින්තු යථා තෞ තං න පරිචිනුතස්තදර්ථං තයෝ ර්දෘෂ්ටිඃ සංරුද්ධා|
17 And he sayd vnto them, What maner of communications are these that ye haue one to another as ye walke and are sad?
ස තෞ පෘෂ්ටවාන් යුවාං විෂණ්ණෞ කිං විචාරයන්තෞ ගච්ඡථඃ?
18 And the one (named Cleopas) answered, and sayd vnto him, Art thou onely a stranger in Hierusalem, and hast not knowen the things which are come to passe therein in these dayes?
තතස්තයෝඃ ක්ලියපානාමා ප්‍රත්‍යුවාච යිරූශාලමපුරේ(අ)ධුනා යාන්‍යඝටන්ත ත්වං කේවලවිදේශී කිං තද්වෘත්තාන්තං න ජානාසි?
19 And he said vnto them, What things? And they sayd vnto him, Of Iesus of Nazareth, which was a Prophet, mightie in deede and in word before God, and all people,
ස පප්‍රච්ඡ කා ඝටනාඃ? තදා තෞ වක්තුමාරේභාතේ යීශුනාමා යෝ නාසරතීයෝ භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදී ඊශ්වරස්‍ය මානුෂාණාඤ්ච සාක්‍ෂාත් වාක්‍යේ කර්ම්මණි ච ශක්තිමානාසීත්
20 And howe the hie Priests, and our rulers deliuered him to be condemned to death, and haue crucified him.
තම් අස්මාකං ප්‍රධානයාජකා විචාරකාශ්ච කේනාපි ප්‍රකාරේණ ක්‍රුශේ විද්ධ්වා තස්‍ය ප්‍රාණානනාශයන් තදීයා ඝටනාඃ;
21 But we trusted that it had bene he that should haue deliuered Israel, and as touching all these things, to day is ye third day, that they were done.
කින්තු ය ඉස්‍රායේලීයලෝකාන් උද්ධාරයිෂ්‍යති ස ඒවායම් ඉත්‍යාශාස්මාභිඃ කෘතා| තද්‍යථා තථාස්තු තස්‍යා ඝටනායා අද්‍ය දිනත්‍රයං ගතං|
22 Yea, and certaine women among vs made vs astonied, which came early vnto the sepulchre.
අධිකන්ත්වස්මාකං සඞ්ගිනීනාං කියත්ස්ත්‍රීණාං මුඛේභ්‍යෝ(අ)සම්භවවාක්‍යමිදං ශ්‍රුතං;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seene a vision of Angels, which sayd, that he was aliue.
තාඃ ප්‍රත්‍යූෂේ ශ්මශානං ගත්වා තත්‍ර තස්‍ය දේහම් අප්‍රාප්‍ය ව්‍යාඝුට්‍යේත්වා ප්‍රෝක්තවත්‍යඃ ස්වර්ගීසදූතෞ දෘෂ්ටාවස්මාභිස්තෞ චාවාදිෂ්ටාං ස ජීවිතවාන්|
24 Therefore certaine of them which were with vs, went to the sepulchre, and found it euen so as the women had sayd, but him they saw not.
තතෝස්මාකං කෛශ්චිත් ශ්මශානමගම්‍යත තේ(අ)පි ස්ත්‍රීණාං වාක්‍යානුරූපං දෘෂ්ටවන්තඃ කින්තු තං නාපශ්‍යන්|
25 Then he sayd vnto them, O fooles and slowe of heart to beleeue all that the Prophets haue spoken!
තදා ස තාවුවාච, හේ අබෝධෞ හේ භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිභිරුක්තවාක්‍යං ප්‍රත්‍යේතුං විලම්බමානෞ;
26 Ought not Christ to haue suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
ඒතත්සර්ව්වදුඃඛං භුක්ත්වා ස්වභූතිප්‍රාප්තිඃ කිං ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටස්‍ය න න්‍යාය්‍යා?
27 And he began at Moses, and at all the Prophets, and interpreted vnto them in all the Scriptures the things which were written of him.
තතඃ ස මූසාග්‍රන්ථමාරභ්‍ය සර්ව්වභවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනාං සර්ව්වශාස්ත්‍රේ ස්වස්මින් ලිඛිතාඛ්‍යානාභිප්‍රායං බෝධයාමාස|
28 And they drew neere vnto ye towne, which they went to, but he made as though hee would haue gone further.
අථ ගම්‍යග්‍රාමාභ්‍යර්ණං ප්‍රාප්‍ය තේනාග්‍රේ ගමනලක්‍ෂණේ දර්ශිතේ
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with vs: for it is towards night, and the day is farre spent. So he went in to tarie with them.
තෞ සාධයිත්වාවදතාං සහාවාභ්‍යාං තිෂ්ඨ දිනේ ගතේ සති රාත්‍රිරභූත්; තතඃ ස තාභ්‍යාං සාර්ද්ධං ස්ථාතුං ගෘහං යයෞ|
30 And it came to passe, as hee sate at table with them, he tooke the bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gaue it to them.
පශ්චාද්භෝජනෝපවේශකාලේ ස පූපං ගෘහීත්වා ඊශ්වරගුණාන් ජගාද තඤ්ච භංක්ත්වා තාභ්‍යාං දදෞ|
31 Then their eyes were opened, and they knewe him: and he was no more seene of them.
තදා තයෝ ර්දෘෂ්ටෞ ප්‍රසන්නායාං තං ප්‍රත්‍යභිඥතුඃ කින්තු ස තයෝඃ සාක්‍ෂාදන්තර්දධේ|
32 And they saide betweene themselues, Did not our heartes burne within vs, while he talked with vs by the way, and when he opened to vs the Scriptures?
තතස්තෞ මිථෝභිධාතුම් ආරබ්ධවන්තෞ ගමනකාලේ යදා කථාමකථයත් ශාස්ත්‍රාර්ථඤ්චබෝධයත් තදාවයෝ ර්බුද්ධිඃ කිං න ප්‍රාජ්වලත්?
33 And they rose vp the same houre, and returned to Hierusalem, and found the Eleuen gathered together, and them that were with them,
තෞ තත්ක්‍ෂණාදුත්ථාය යිරූශාලමපුරං ප්‍රත්‍යායයතුඃ, තත්ස්ථානේ ශිෂ්‍යාණාම් ඒකාදශානාං සඞ්ගිනාඤ්ච දර්ශනං ජාතං|
34 Which said, The Lord is risen in deede, and hath appeared to Simon.
තේ ප්‍රෝචුඃ ප්‍රභුරුදතිෂ්ඨද් ඉති සත්‍යං ශිමෝනේ දර්ශනමදාච්ච|
35 Then they tolde what things were done in the way, and howe he was knowen of them in breaking of bread.
තතඃ පථඃ සර්ව්වඝටනායාඃ පූපභඤ්ජනේන තත්පරිචයස්‍ය ච සර්ව්වවෘත්තාන්තං තෞ වක්තුමාරේභාතේ|
36 And as they spake these things, Iesus himselfe stoode in the middes of them, and saide vnto them, Peace be to you.
ඉත්ථං තේ පරස්පරං වදන්ති තත්කාලේ යීශුඃ ස්වයං තේෂාං මධ්‍ය ප්‍රෝත්ථය යුෂ්මාකං කල්‍යාණං භූයාද් ඉත්‍යුවාච,
37 But they were abashed and afraide, supposing that they had seene a spirit.
කින්තු භූතං පශ්‍යාම ඉත්‍යනුමාය තේ සමුද්විවිජිරේ ත්‍රේෂුශ්ච|
38 Then he saide vnto them, Why are ye troubled? and wherefore doe doutes arise in your hearts?
ස උවාච, කුතෝ දුඃඛිතා භවථ? යුෂ්මාකං මනඃසු සන්දේහ උදේති ච කුතඃ?
39 Beholde mine handes and my feete: for it is I my selfe: handle me, and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me haue.
ඒෂෝහං, මම කරෞ පශ්‍යත වරං ස්පෘෂ්ට්වා පශ්‍යත, මම යාදෘශානි පශ්‍යථ තාදෘශානි භූතස්‍ය මාංසාස්ථීනි න සන්ති|
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and feete.
ඉත්‍යුක්ත්වා ස හස්තපාදාන් දර්ශයාමාස|
41 And while they yet beleeued not for ioy, and wondred, he saide vnto them, Haue ye here any meate?
තේ(අ)සම්භවං ඥාත්වා සානන්දා න ප්‍රත්‍යයන්| තතඃ ස තාන් පප්‍රච්ඡ, අත්‍ර යුෂ්මාකං සමීපේ ඛාද්‍යං කිඤ්චිදස්ති?
42 And they gaue him a piece of a broyled fish, and of an honie combe,
තතස්තේ කියද්දග්ධමත්ස්‍යං මධු ච දදුඃ
43 And hee tooke it, and did eate before them.
ස තදාදාය තේෂාං සාක්‍ෂාද් බුභුජේ
44 And he saide vnto them, These are the wordes, which I spake vnto you while I was yet with you, that all must be fulfilled which are written of me in the Lawe of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes.
කථයාමාස ච මූසාව්‍යවස්ථායාං භවිෂ්‍යද්වාදිනාං ග්‍රන්ථේෂු ගීතපුස්තකේ ච මයි යානි සර්ව්වාණි වචනානි ලිඛිතානි තදනුරූපාණි ඝටිෂ්‍යන්තේ යුෂ්මාභිඃ සාර්ද්ධං ස්ථිත්වාහං යදේතද්වාක්‍යම් අවදං තදිදානීං ප්‍රත්‍යක්‍ෂමභූත්|
45 Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,
අථ තේභ්‍යඃ ශාස්ත්‍රබෝධාධිකාරං දත්වාවදත්,
46 And said vnto them, Thus is it written, and thus it behoued Christ to suffer, and to rise againe from the dead the third day,
ඛ්‍රීෂ්ටේනේත්ථං මෘතියාතනා භෝක්තව්‍යා තෘතීයදිනේ ච ශ්මශානාදුත්ථාතව්‍යඤ්චේති ලිපිරස්ති;
47 And that repentance, and remission of sinnes should be preached in his Name among all nations, beginning at Hierusalem.
තන්නාම්නා යිරූශාලමමාරභ්‍ය සර්ව්වදේශේ මනඃපරාවර්ත්තනස්‍ය පාපමෝචනස්‍ය ච සුසංවාදඃ ප්‍රචාරයිතව්‍යඃ,
48 Nowe ye are witnesses of these things.
ඒෂු සර්ව්වේෂු යූයං සාක්‍ෂිණඃ|
49 And beholde, I doe sende the promise of my Father vpon you: but tary ye in the citie of Hierusalem, vntill ye be endued with power from an hie.
අපරඤ්ච පශ්‍යත පිත්‍රා යත් ප්‍රතිඥාතං තත් ප්‍රේෂයිෂ්‍යාමි, අතඒව යාවත්කාලං යූයං ස්වර්ගීයාං ශක්තිං න ප්‍රාප්ස්‍යථ තාවත්කාලං යිරූශාලම්නගරේ තිෂ්ඨත|
50 Afterward he lead them out into Bethania, and lift vp his hands, and blessed them.
අථ ස තාන් බෛථනීයාපර‍්‍ය්‍යන්තං නීත්වා හස්තාවුත්තෝල්‍ය ආශිෂ වක්තුමාරේභේ
51 And it came to passe, that as he blessed them, he departed from them, and was caried vp into heauen.
ආශිෂං වදන්නේව ච තේභ්‍යඃ පෘථග් භූත්වා ස්වර්ගාය නීතෝ(අ)භවත්|
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Hierusalem with great ioy,
තදා තේ තං භජමානා මහානන්දේන යිරූශාලමං ප්‍රත්‍යාජග්මුඃ|
53 And were continually in the Temple, praysing, and lauding God, Amen.
තතෝ නිරන්තරං මන්දිරේ තිෂ්ඨන්ත ඊශ්වරස්‍ය ප්‍රශංසාං ධන්‍යවාදඤ්ච කර්ත්තම් ආරේභිරේ| ඉති||
