Luke 13
1 There were certaine men present at the same season, that shewed him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
Ahora algunas personas que estaban allí en ese momento, le dieron una cuenta de cómo la sangre de algunos galileos había sido mezclada por Pilato con sus ofrendas.
2 And Iesus answered, and saide vnto them, Suppose ye, that these Galileans were greater sinners then al the other Galileans, because they haue suffered such things?
Y él, en respuesta, les dijo: ¿Eres de la opinión de que estos galileos eran peores que todos los demás galileos, porque estas cosas se les hicieron a ellos?
3 I tell you, nay: but except ye amend your liues, ye shall all likewise perish.
Les digo, no es así; pero si no se arrepienten, todos perecerán igualmente.
4 Or thinke you that those eighteene, vpon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slewe them, were sinners aboue all men that dwel in Hierusalem?
O aquellos dieciocho hombres que fueron aplastados por la caída de la torre de Siloé, y los mató, ¿fueron ellos peores que todos los otros hombres que vivían en Jerusalén?
5 I tell you, nay: but except ye amend your liues, ye shall all likewise perish.
Les digo, no es así; pero si no se arrepienten, todos terminarán de la misma manera.
6 He spake also this parable, A certaine man had a figge tree planted in his vineyard: and he came and sought fruite thereon, and found none.
Y él les dijo esta historia: cierto hombre tenía una higuera en su jardín, y vino buscar fruto de ella, y no había fruto.
7 Then said he to the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, this three yeeres haue I come and sought fruite of this figge tree, and finde none: cut it downe: why keepeth it also the ground barren?
Y dijo al jardinero: Mira, durante tres años he estado buscando fruto de este árbol, y no he tenido ninguno; córtala; ¿por qué está ocupando tierra?
8 And he answered, and said vnto him, Lord, let it alone this yeere also, till I digge round about it, and doung it.
Y él dijo: Señor, que sea este año, y tendré a la tierra vuelta alrededor, y la abone, para hacerla fértil:
9 And if it beare fruite, well: if not, then after thou shalt cut it downe.
Y si, después de eso, tiene fruto, bien; si no, la cortarás después.
10 And he taught in one of ye Synagogues on the Sabbath day.
Y estaba enseñando Jesús en una de las sinagogas en el día de reposo.
11 And behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmitie eighteene yeeres, and was bowed together, and coulde not lift vp her selfe in any wise.
Y había una mujer que había tenido una enfermedad durante dieciocho años; ella estaba encorvada, y no fue capaz de enderezarse.
12 When Iesus sawe her, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thy disease.
Cuando Jesús la vio, le dijo: Mujer, eres libre de tu enfermedad.
13 And he laide his handes on her, and immediately she was made straight againe, and glorified God.
Y él le impuso las manos, y ella se enderezó, y comenzó a alabar a Dios.
14 And the ruler of the Synagogue answered with indignation, because that Iesus healed on the Sabbath day, and said vnto the people, There are sixe dayes in which men ought to worke: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.
Y el principal de la sinagoga se enojó porque Jesús la había sanado en sábado, y dijo al pueblo: Hay seis días en que los hombres pueden hacer trabajo; así que vengan en estos días para ser sanados, y no en el Sábado.
15 Then answered him the Lord, and said, Hypocrite, doth not eche one of you on the Sabbath day loose his oxe or his asse from the stall, and leade him away to the water?
Pero el Señor le dio una respuesta y dijo: ¡Hipócritas! ¿No es así, cada uno de ustedes, en Sábado, sueltan su buey y su asno y lo llevan al agua?
16 And ought not this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, loe, eighteene yeeres, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?
¿Y no es correcto que esta hija de Abraham, que ha estado atada por Satanás durante dieciocho años, sea liberada en sábado?
17 And when he said these things, all his aduersaries were ashamed: but all the people reioyced at all the excellent things, that were done by him.
Y cuando dijo esto, los que estaban contra él se avergonzaron, y toda la gente se llenó de alegría por las grandes cosas que había hecho.
18 Then said he, What is the kingdome of God like? or whereto shall I compare it?
Entonces dijo: ¿Cómo es el reino de Dios? ¿Y con Qué lo compararé?
19 It is like a graine of mustard seede, which a man tooke and sowed in his garden, and it grewe, and waxed a great tree, and the foules of the heauen made nestes in the branches thereof.
Es como un grano de mostaza que un hombre tomó y puso en su jardín, y se convirtió en un árbol, y las aves del cielo hicieron sus nidos en sus ramas.
20 And againe he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdome of God?
Y otra vez dijo: ¿Cómo es el reino de Dios?
21 It is like leauen, which a woman tooke, and hid in three peckes of floure, till all was leauened.
Es como la levadura, que una mujer puso en tres medidas de harina, hasta que todo fuera fermentado.
22 And he went through all cities and townes, teaching, and iourneying towards Hierusalem.
Y siguió su camino por ciudades y lugares rurales, enseñando y yendo a Jerusalén.
23 Then saide one vnto him, Lord, are there fewe that shalbe saued? And he said vnto them,
Y alguien le dijo: Señor, ¿solo un pequeño número tendrá la salvación? Y él les dijo:
24 Striue to enter in at the straite gate: for many, I say vnto you, will seeke to enter in, and shall not be able.
Hagan un esfuerzo para entrar por la puerta estrecha, porque les digo que muchos intentarán entrar, pero no podrán hacerlo.
25 When the good man of the house is risen vp, and hath shut to the doore, and ye begin to stand without, and to knocke at the doore, saying, Lord, Lord, open to vs, and he shall answere and say vnto you, I know you not whence ye are,
Cuando el dueño de la casa se haya levantado, y se haya cerrado la puerta, y tú, todavía afuera, le diste golpes a la puerta, diciendo: Señor, déjanos entrar; Él responderá y dirá: “No sé de dónde son ustedes”.
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We haue eaten and drunke in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streetes.
Entonces dirán: Hemos comido y bebido contigo, y has estado enseñando en nuestras calles.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I knowe you not whence ye are: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquitie.
Pero él dirá: De cierto, no los conozco ni sé de dónde vienen; aléjense de mí, hacedores de maldad.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth when ye shall see Abraham and Isaac, and Iacob, and all the Prophets in the kingdome of God, and your selues thrust out at doores.
Y habrá llanto y crujir de dientes cuando vean a Abraham, a Isaac, a Jacob, y a todos los profetas en el reino de Dios; más ustedes serán excluidos fuera.
29 Then shall come many from the East, and from the West, and from the North, and from the South, and shall sit at Table in the kingdome of God.
Y vendrán del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del sur, y ocuparán sus lugares en el reino de Dios.
30 And beholde, there are last, which shalbe first, and there are first, which shalbe last.
Y el último será el primero, y el primero será el último.
31 The same day there came certaine Pharises, and said vnto him, Depart, and goe hence: for Herod will kill thee.
En ese momento, ciertos fariseos se le acercaron y le dijeron: Vete de este lugar, porque el propósito de Herodes es matarte.
32 Then said he vnto them, Goe ye and tell that foxe, Beholde, I cast out deuils, and will heale still to day, and to morowe, and the third day I shalbe perfected.
Y él dijo: ve, y dile a ese zorro: He aquí, echo fuera demonios y haré obras de misericordia hoy y mañana, y al tercer día mi obra estará completa.
33 Neuerthelesse I must walke to day, and to morowe, and the day following: for it cannot be that a Prophet should perish out of Hierusalem.
Pero tengo que seguir mi camino hoy, mañana y el tercer día, porque no es correcto que un profeta llegue a morir fuera de Jerusalén.
34 O Hierusalem, Hierusalem, which killest the Prophets, and stonest them that are sent to thee, howe often would I haue gathered thy children together, as the henne gathereth her brood vnder her wings, and ye would not!
¡Jerusalén, Jerusalén, que matas a los profetas, y apedreas a los que fueron enviados a ella! una y otra vez quise juntar a tus hijos, como un pájaro toma a sus crías bajo sus alas, ¡pero no quisiste!
35 Beholde, your house is left vnto you desolate: and verely I tell you, ye shall not see me vntill the time come that ye shall say, Blessed is he that commeth in the Name of the Lord.
Ahora mira, tu casa es desierta, y les digo que no me verán hasta que digan: Bendición sobre el que viene en el nombre del Señor.
