Leviticus 22
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
2 Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, that they be separated from the holy thinges of the children of Israel, and that they pollute not mine holy name in those things, which they hallowe vnto me: I am the Lord.
“হারোণ ও তার ছেলেদের তুমি জানিয়ে দাও, আমার উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র উপহারগুলির প্রতি তারা যেন সম্মান প্রদর্শন করে এবং আমার পবিত্র নাম তারা যেন অপবিত্র না করে। আমি সদাপ্রভু।
3 Say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of all your seede among your generations after you, that toucheth the holy things which the children of Israel hallowe vnto the Lord, hauing his vncleannesse vpon him, euen that person shall be cut off from my sight: I am the Lord.
“তাদের বলো, ‘আগামী প্রজন্মগুলিতে তোমাদের বংশধরদের মধ্যে কেউ যদি আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে অশুচি থাকে এবং তবুও সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র উপহারগুলির কাছে সে আসে, তাহলে আমার সামনে থেকে সেই ব্যক্তি উচ্ছিন্ন হবে। আমি সদাপ্রভু।
4 Whosoeuer also of the seede of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue, he shall not eate of the holy things vntill he be cleane: and who so toucheth any that is vncleane, by reason of the dead, or a man whose issue of seede runneth from him,
“‘যদি হারোণের কোনো এক বংশধরের সংক্রামক চর্মরোগ অথবা দেহের ক্ষরণ থাকে, পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য সে ভোজন করবে না, যতক্ষণ না সে শুচি হয়। সে অশুচি হবে, যদি মৃতদেহ দ্বারা কলুষিত কোনো বস্তু অথবা বীর্য নির্গমিত ব্যক্তিকে স্পর্শ করে;
5 Or the man that toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made vncleane, or a man, by whom he may take vncleannesse, whatsoeuer vncleannesse he hath,
অথবা যদি সে কোনো সরীসৃপকে স্পর্শ করে, সেই স্পর্শে সে অশুচি হবে, অথবা সে কোনো অশুচিতায় কোনো অশুচি মানুষের স্পর্শে সে অশুচি হবে।
6 The person that hath touched such, shall therefore be vncleane vntill the euen, and shall not eat of ye holy things, except he haue washed his flesh with water.
এই ধরনের দ্রব্যকে যে কেউ স্পর্শ করবে, সে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত অশুচি বিবেচিত হবে। সে কোনো পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করতেই পারবে না, যতক্ষণ না জলে স্নান করছে।
7 But when the Sunne is downe, hee shalbe cleane, and shall afterward eate of the holy things: for it is his foode.
সূর্য অস্ত গেলে সে শুচিশুদ্ধ হবে এবং এরপরে পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য সে ভোজন করতে পারবে; কেননা সেগুলি তার খাদ্য।
8 Of a beast that dyeth, or is rent with beasts, whereby he may be defiled, hee shall not eate: I am the Lord.
কোনো মৃত অথবা বন্যপশু দ্বারা ছিন্ন-বিচ্ছিন্ন কোনো প্রাণী সে কখনও ভোজন করবে না এবং এইভাবে নিজে অশুচি হবে না। আমি সদাপ্রভু।
9 Let them keepe therefore mine ordinance, least they beare their sinne for it, and die for it, if they defile it: I the Lord sanctifie them.
“‘যাজকেরা আমার চাহিদাগুলি পূরণ করবে, যেন অপরাধী না হয় এবং সেগুলিকে অবজ্ঞা করে মারা না যায়। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তাদের পবিত্র করেন।
10 There shall no stranger also eate of the holie thing, neither the ghest of the Priest, neither shall an hired seruant eat of the holie thing:
“‘যাজকীয় পরিবারের বহির্ভূত কেউ পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করতে পারবে না, অথবা যাজকের কোনো অতিথি কিংবা বেতনজীবী কর্মী এই খাদ্যের অংশীদার হবে না।
11 But if the Priest bye any with money, he shall eate of it, also he that is borne in his house: they shall eate of his meate.
কিন্তু যদি যাজক টাকা দিয়ে এক ক্রীতদাস ক্রয় করে, অথবা তার বাড়িতে কোনো ক্রীতদাসের জন্ম হয়, তাহলে ক্রীতদাস সেই খাদ্য ভোজন করতে পারে।
12 If the Priests daughter also be maried vnto a stranger, she may not eate of the holy offrings.
যদি যাজকের একটি মেয়ে যাজকের পরিবর্তে অন্য একজনকে বিয়ে করে, তাহলে মেয়েটি কোনো পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করবে না।
13 Notwithstanding if the Priests daughter be a widowe or diuorced, and haue no childe, but is returned vnto her fathers house shee shall eate of her fathers bread, as she did in her youth but there shall no stranger eate thereof.
কিন্তু যাজকের মেয়ে যদি বিধবা হয়, অথবা তার বিবাহবিচ্ছেদ হয়ে থাকে, অথচ সন্তান না থাকে এবং তার যৌবন থাকাকালীন বাবার বাড়িতে বসবাস করতে সে ফিরে আসে, তাহলে সে তার বাবার খাদ্য ভোজন করবে। অন্যদিকে, কোনো অস্বীকৃত মানুষ ভোজন করতে পারবে না।
14 If a man eate of the holie thing vnwittingly, he shall put the fift part thereunto, and giue it vnto the Priest with the halowed thing.
“‘যদি কেউ ভুলবশত পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য ভোজন করে, তাহলে ওই নৈবেদ্যের পক্ষে সে যাজককে ক্ষতিপূরণ দেবে। খাদ্যমানের পঞ্চমাংশ সে সংযোজিত করবে।
15 So they shall not defile the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer vnto the Lord,
সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ইস্রায়েলীদের উৎসর্গীকৃত পবিত্র নৈবেদ্য যাজক কিছুতেই কালিমালিপ্ত করবে না,
16 Neither cause the people to beare the iniquitie of their trespas, while they eate their holy thing: for I the Lord do halowe them.
পবিত্র খাদ্য লোকদের ভোজন করতে দেবে না, যেন এর বিনিময়ে তাদের ওপরে অপরাধ না বর্তায়। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তাদের পবিত্র করেন।’”
17 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
18 Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel, and say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his sacrifice for all their vowes, and for all their free offrings, which they vse to offer vnto the Lord for a burnt offring,
“হারোণ, তার সব ছেলেদের ও সব ইস্রায়েলীর সঙ্গে তুমি কথা বলো এবং তাদের জানাও, ‘যদি তোমাদের কেউ, কিংবা ইস্রায়েলের কোনো একজন অথবা ইস্রায়েলে বসবাসকারী কোনো প্রবাসী মানত পূরণে অথবা স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহাররূপে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে হোমার্থক বলি উৎসর্গ করে,
19 Yee shall offer of your free minde a male without blemish of the beeues, of the sheepe, or of the goates.
তাহলে একটি নির্দোষ বলদ, অথবা পুংমেষ কিংবা পুংছাগ তোমরা অবশ্যই উৎসর্গ করবে, যেন তোমাদের পক্ষে এই উৎসর্গ গৃহীত হয়।
20 Ye shall not offer any thing that hath a blemish: for that shall not be acceptable for you.
খুঁতযুক্ত কোনো কিছু আনবে না, অন্যথায় তোমাদের পক্ষে তা গৃহীত হবে না।
21 And whosoeuer bringeth a peace offring vnto ye Lord to accomplish his vowe, or for a free offring, of the beeues, or of the sheepe, his free offring shall bee perfect, no blemish shalbe in it.
যখন কেউ কোনো মানত পূরণ করার জন্য অথবা স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহারস্বরূপ সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে ষাঁড় অথবা মেষ মঙ্গলার্থক বলিদানরূপে আনে, সেটি গৃহীত হওয়ার জন্য যেন নির্দোষ বা নিষ্কলঙ্ক হয়।
22 Blinde, or broken, or maimed, or hauing a wenne, or skiruie, or skabbed: these shall yee not offer vnto the Lord nor make an offring by fire of these vpon the altar of the Lord.
সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে অন্ধ, আহত, অথবা বিকলাঙ্গ, কিংবা আবযুক্ত অথবা পুঁজযুক্ত ক্ষতবিশিষ্ট কোনো কিছু আনবে না। সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে এই ধরনের কোনো দোষযুক্ত পশু হোমার্থক বলিরূপে বেদিতে রাখবে না।
23 Yet a bullocke, or a sheepe that hath any member superfluous, or lacking, such mayest thou present for a free offring, but for a vowe it shall not be accepted.
অন্যদিকে, একটি গরু অথবা একটি মেষ স্বেচ্ছাদত্ত উপহাররূপে উৎসর্গ করতে পারো, এগুলি বিকলাঙ্গ অথবা বুদ্ধিবিহীন বিশিষ্ট হতে পারে, কিন্তু কোনো মানত পূরণের জন্য এই উপহার গৃহীত হবে না।
24 Ye shall not offer vnto ye Lord that which is bruised or crusshed, or broken, or cut away, neither shall ye make an offring thereof in your land,
সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে এমন কোনো পশু উৎসর্গ করবে না, যার অণ্ডকোষ থেঁতলানো, চূর্ণ অথবা বিদীর্ণ। তোমাদের দেশে তোমরা এই কাজ কখনও করবে না।
25 Neither of ye hand of a strager shall ye offer ye bread of your God of any of these, because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: therefore shall they not be accepted for you.
কোনো বিদেশির নিকট থেকে এই ধরনের পশু তোমরা কখনও গ্রহণ করবে না এবং ভক্ষ-নৈবেদ্য স্বরূপ তোমার ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করবে না। তোমাদের পক্ষে সেগুলি গৃহীত হবে না, কারণ সেগুলি বিকৃত ও খুঁতযুক্ত।’”
26 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে বললেন,
27 When a bullocke, or a sheepe, or a goate shall be brought foorth, it shalbe euen seuen daies vnder his damme: and from the eight day forth, it shalbe accepted for a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord.
“যখন কোনো বাছুর, মেষশাবক অথবা ছাগল জন্মাবে, তার মায়ের সঙ্গে তাকে সাত দিন থাকতে হবে। অষ্টম দিন থেকে ওই শাবক হোমার্থক বলিরূপে সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে গৃহীত হবে।
28 As for the cowe or the ewe, yee shall not kill her, and her yong both in one day.
একই দিনে কোনো গরু অথবা মেষ ও তার শাবককে হত্যা করবে না।
29 So when ye will offer a thanke offring vnto the Lord, ye shall offer willingly.
“যখন সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে তোমরা ধন্যবাদের উপহার বলি দেবে, এমনভাবে সেই বলি দিতে হবে, যেন তোমাদের পক্ষে তা গৃহীত হয়।
30 The same day it shalbe eaten, yee shall leaue none of it vntill the morowe: I am the Lord.
বলিদানের মাংস সেদিনই ভোজন করতে হবে; সকাল পর্যন্ত কিছু অবশিষ্ট রেখো না। আমি সদাপ্রভু।
31 Therefore shall ye keepe my commandements and do them: for I am the Lord.
“আমার সব আদেশ পালন করো এবং সেগুলি অনুসরণ করো। আমি সদাপ্রভু।
32 Neither shall ye pollute mine holy Name, but I will be halowed among the children of Israel. I the Lord sanctifie you,
আমার পবিত্র নাম অপবিত্র করবে না। ইস্রায়েলীদের দ্বারা পবিত্ররূপে আমাকে স্বীকৃতি পেতেই হবে। আমি সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তোমাদের পবিত্র করেন
33 Which haue brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.
এবং যিনি মিশর থেকে তোমাদের বের করে এনেছেন, যেন তোমাদের ঈশ্বর হন। আমি সদাপ্রভু।”
