Leviticus 21
1 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Speake vnto the Priestes the sonnes of Aaron, and say vnto them, Let none be defiled by the dead among his people,
और ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा कि 'हारून के बेटों से जो काहिन हैं कह कि अपने क़बीले के मुर्दे की वजह से कोई अपने आप को नजिस न कर ले।
2 But by his kinseman that is neere vnto him: to wit, by his mother, or by his father, or by his sonne, or by his daughter, or by his brother,
अपने क़रीबी रिश्तेदारों की वजह से जैसे अपनी माँ की वजह से, और अपने बाप की वजह से, और अपने बेटे — बेटी की वजह से, और अपने भाई की वजह से,
3 Or by his sister a maid, that is neere vnto him, which hath not had a husband: for her he may lament.
और अपनी सगी कुँवारी बहन की वजह से जिसने शौहर न किया हो, इन की ख़ातिर वह अपने को नजिस कर सकता है।
4 He shall not lament for the Prince among his people, to pollute him selfe.
चूँकि वह अपने लोगों में सरदार है, इसलिए वह अपने आप को ऐसा आलूदा न करे कि नापाक हो जाए।
5 They shall not make balde partes vpon their head, nor shaue off the locks of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
वह न अपने सिर उनकी ख़ातिर बीच से घुटवाएँ और न अपनी दाढ़ी के कोने मुण्डवाएँ, और न अपने को ज़ख़्मी करें।
6 They shalbe holy vnto their God, and not pollute the name of their God: for the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God they doe offer: therefore they shalbe holie.
वह अपने ख़ुदा के लिए पाक बने रहें और अपने ख़ुदा के नाम को बेहुरमत न करें, क्यूँकि वह ख़ुदावन्द की आतिशीन क़ुर्बानियाँ जो उनके ख़ुदा की गिज़ा है पेश करते हैं; इसलिए वह पाक रहें।
7 They shall not take to wife an whore, or one polluted, neither shall they marrie a woman diuorced from her husband: for such one is holy vnto his God.
वह किसी फ़ाहिशा या नापाक 'औरत से ब्याह न करें, और न उस 'औरत से ब्याह करें जिसे उसके शौहर ने तलाक़ दी हो; क्यूँकि काहिन अपने ख़ुदा के लिए पाक है।
8 Thou shalt sanctifie him therefore, for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy vnto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctifie you, am holy.
तब तू काहिन को पाक जानना क्यूँकि वह तेरे ख़ुदा की गिज़ा पेश करता है; इसलिए वह तेरी नज़र में पाक ठहरे, क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुदावन्द जो तुम को पाक करता हूँ क़ुद्दूस हूँ।
9 If a Priestes daughter fall to play the whore, she polluteth her father: therefore shall she be burnt with fire.
और अगर काहिन की बेटी फ़ाहिशा बनकर अपने आप को नापाक करे तो वह अपने बाप को नापाक ठहराती है, वह 'औरत आग में जलाई जाए।
10 Also ye hie Priest among his brethren, (vpon whose head the anointing oyle was powred, and hath consecrated his hand to put on the garments) shall not vncouer his head, nor rent his clothes,
और वह जो अपने भाइयों के बीच सरदार काहिन हो, जिसके सिर पर मसह करने का तेल डाला गया और जो पाक लिबास पहनने के लिए मख़्सूस किया गया, वह अपने सिर के बाल बिखरने न दे और अपने कपड़े न फाड़े।
11 Neither shall he goe to any dead bodie, nor make him selfe vncleane by his father or by his mother,
वह किसी मुर्दे के पास न जाए, और न अपने बाप या माँ की ख़ातिर अपने आप को नजिस करे।
12 Neither shall he goe out of the Sanctuarie, nor pollute the holy place of his God: for the crowne of the anoynting oyle of his God is vpon him: I am the Lord.
और वह हैकल के बाहर भी न निकले और न अपने ख़ुदा के हैकल को बेहुरमत करे, क्यूँकि उसके ख़ुदा के मसह करने के तेल का ताज उस पर है; मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ।
13 Also he shall take a maide vnto his wife:
और वह कुँवारी 'औरत से ब्याह करे;
14 But a widowe, or a diuorced woman, or a polluted, or an harlot, these shall he not marrie, but shall take a maide of his owne people to wife:
जो बेवा या मुतल्लक़ा या नापाक 'औरत या फ़ाहिशा हो, उनसे वह ब्याह न करे बल्कि वह अपनी ही क़ौम की कुँवारी को ब्याह ले।
15 Neyther shall he defile his seede among his people: for I am the Lord which sanctifie him.
और वह अपने तुख़्म को अपनी क़ौम में नापाक न ठहराए, क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुदावन्द हूँ जो उसे पाक करता हूँ।
16 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
फिर ख़ुदावन्द ने मूसा से कहा कि,
17 Speake vnto Aaron, and say, Whosoeuer of thy seede in their generations hath any blemishes, shall not prease to offer the bread of his God:
“हारून से कह दे कि तेरी नसल में नसल — दर — नसल अगर कोई किसी तरह का 'ऐब रखता हो, तो वह अपने ख़ुदा की गिज़ा पेश करने को नज़दीक न आए;
18 For whosoeuer hath any blemish, shall not come neere: as a man blinde or lame, or that hath a flat nose, or that hath any misshapen member,
चाहे कोई हो जिसमें 'ऐब हो वह नज़दीक न आए चाहे वह अन्धा हो या लंगड़ा, या नकचपटा हो, या ज़ाइद — उल — 'आज़ा,
19 Or a man that hath a broken foote, or a broken hande,
या उसका पाँव टूटा हो, या हाथ टूटा हो
20 Or is crooke backt, or bleare eyed, or hath a blemish in his eye, or be skiruie, or skabbed, or haue his stones broken.
या वह कुबड़ा या बौना हो, या उसकी आँख में कुछ नुक्स हो, या खुजली भरा हो, या उसके पपड़ियाँ हों, या उसके खुसिए पिचके हों।
21 None of the seede of Aaron the Priest that hath a blemish, shall come neere to offer the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, hauing a blemish: he shall not prease to offer the bread of his God.
हारून काहिन की नसल में से कोई जो 'ऐबदार हो ख़ुदावन्द की आतिशी क़ुर्बानियाँ पेश करने को नज़दीक न आए, वह 'ऐबदार है; वह हरगिज़ अपने ख़ुदा की ग़िज़ा पेश करने को पास न आए।
22 The bread of his God, euen of the most holie, and of the holy shall he eate:
वह अपने ख़ुदा की बहुत ही मुक़द्दस और पाक दोनों तरह की रोटी खाए,
23 But he shall not goe in vnto the vaile, nor come neere the altar, because hee hath a blemish, least he pollute my Sanctuaries: for I am the Lord that sanctifie them.
लेकिन पर्दे के अन्दर दाख़िल न हो, न मज़बह के पास आए इसलिए कि वह 'ऐबदार है; कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वह मेरे पाक मक़ामों को बे — हुरमत करे, क्यूँकि मैं ख़ुदावन्द उनका पाक करने वाला हूँ।”
24 Thus spake Moses vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel.
तब मूसा ने हारून और उसके बेटों और सब बनी — इस्राईल से यह बातें कहीं।
