Leviticus 21
1 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Speake vnto the Priestes the sonnes of Aaron, and say vnto them, Let none be defiled by the dead among his people,
Und Jehova sprach zu Mose: Rede zu den Priestern, den Söhnen Aarons, und spricht zu ihnen: Keiner von ihnen soll sich [W. Er [der Priester] soll sich nicht] wegen einer Leiche verunreinigen unter seinen Völkern:
2 But by his kinseman that is neere vnto him: to wit, by his mother, or by his father, or by his sonne, or by his daughter, or by his brother,
außer wegen seines Blutsverwandten, der ihm nahe steht: wegen seiner Mutter und wegen seines Vaters und wegen seines Sohnes und wegen seiner Tochter und wegen seines Bruders;
3 Or by his sister a maid, that is neere vnto him, which hath not had a husband: for her he may lament.
und wegen seiner Schwester, der Jungfrau, die ihm nahe steht, die noch keines Mannes geworden ist: wegen dieser darf er sich verunreinigen.
4 He shall not lament for the Prince among his people, to pollute him selfe.
Er soll sich nicht verunreinigen als Herr unter seinen Völkern, sich zu entweihen.
5 They shall not make balde partes vpon their head, nor shaue off the locks of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
Sie sollen keine Glatze auf ihrem Haupte machen, und den Rand ihres Bartes sollen sie nicht abscheren, und an ihrem Fleische sollen sie keine Einschnitte machen.
6 They shalbe holy vnto their God, and not pollute the name of their God: for the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, and the bread of their God they doe offer: therefore they shalbe holie.
Sie sollen ihrem Gott heilig sein, und den Namen ihres Gottes sollen sie nicht entweihen, denn die Feueropfer Jehovas, das Brot ihres Gottes, bringen sie dar; und sie sollen heilig sein.
7 They shall not take to wife an whore, or one polluted, neither shall they marrie a woman diuorced from her husband: for such one is holy vnto his God.
Eine Hure und eine Entehrte sollen sie nicht zum Weibe nehmen, und ein von ihrem Manne verstoßenes Weib sollen sie nicht nehmen; denn heilig ist er seinem Gott.
8 Thou shalt sanctifie him therefore, for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy vnto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctifie you, am holy.
Und du sollst ihn für heilig achten, denn das Brot deines Gottes bringt er dar; er soll dir heilig sein; denn heilig bin ich Jehova, der euch heiligt.
9 If a Priestes daughter fall to play the whore, she polluteth her father: therefore shall she be burnt with fire.
Und wenn die Tochter eines Priesters sich durch Hurerei entweiht, so entweiht sie ihren Vater: sie soll mit Feuer verbrannt werden. -
10 Also ye hie Priest among his brethren, (vpon whose head the anointing oyle was powred, and hath consecrated his hand to put on the garments) shall not vncouer his head, nor rent his clothes,
Und der Hohepriester unter seinen Brüdern, auf dessen Haupt das Salböl gegossen worden, und der geweiht ist, um die heiligen Kleider anzulegen, soll sein Haupt nicht entblößen und soll seine Kleider nicht zerreißen.
11 Neither shall he goe to any dead bodie, nor make him selfe vncleane by his father or by his mother,
Und er soll zu keiner Leiche kommen; wegen seines Vaters und wegen seiner Mutter soll er sich nicht verunreinigen.
12 Neither shall he goe out of the Sanctuarie, nor pollute the holy place of his God: for the crowne of the anoynting oyle of his God is vpon him: I am the Lord.
Und aus dem Heiligtum soll er nicht hinausgehen und nicht entweihen das Heiligtum seines Gottes; denn die Weihe des Salböls seines Gottes ist auf ihm. Ich bin Jehova.
13 Also he shall take a maide vnto his wife:
Und derselbe soll ein Weib in ihrer Jungfrauschaft nehmen.
14 But a widowe, or a diuorced woman, or a polluted, or an harlot, these shall he not marrie, but shall take a maide of his owne people to wife:
Eine Witwe und eine Verstoßene und eine Entehrte, eine Hure, diese soll er nicht nehmen; sondern eine Jungfrau aus seinen Völkern soll er zum Weibe nehmen.
15 Neyther shall he defile his seede among his people: for I am the Lord which sanctifie him.
Und er soll seinen Samen nicht entweihen unter seinen Völkern; denn ich bin Jehova, der ihn heiligt.
16 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:
17 Speake vnto Aaron, and say, Whosoeuer of thy seede in their generations hath any blemishes, shall not prease to offer the bread of his God:
Rede zu Aaron und sprich: Jemand von deinem Samen bei ihren Geschlechtern, an dem ein Gebrechen ist, soll nicht herzunahen, um das Brot seines Gottes darzubringen;
18 For whosoeuer hath any blemish, shall not come neere: as a man blinde or lame, or that hath a flat nose, or that hath any misshapen member,
denn jedermann, an dem ein Gebrechen ist, soll nicht herzunahen, es sei ein blinder Mann oder ein lahmer oder ein stumpfnasiger, [And. üb.: spaltnasiger] oder der ein Glied zu lang hat,
19 Or a man that hath a broken foote, or a broken hande,
oder ein Mann, der einen Bruch am Fuße oder einen Bruch an der Hand hat,
20 Or is crooke backt, or bleare eyed, or hath a blemish in his eye, or be skiruie, or skabbed, or haue his stones broken.
oder ein Höckeriger oder ein Zwerg, [W. ein Dünner, Elender] oder der einen Flecken an seinem Auge [And. üb.: ein triefendes Auge] hat, oder der die Krätze oder Flechte, oder der zerdrückte Hoden hat.
21 None of the seede of Aaron the Priest that hath a blemish, shall come neere to offer the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire, hauing a blemish: he shall not prease to offer the bread of his God.
Jedermann vom Samen Aarons, des Priesters, der ein Gebrechen hat, soll nicht herzutreten, die Feueropfer Jehovas darzubringen; ein Gebrechen ist an ihm, er soll nicht herzutreten, das Brot seines Gottes darzubringen.
22 The bread of his God, euen of the most holie, and of the holy shall he eate:
Das Brot seines Gottes von dem Hochheiligen und von dem Heiligen mag er essen;
23 But he shall not goe in vnto the vaile, nor come neere the altar, because hee hath a blemish, least he pollute my Sanctuaries: for I am the Lord that sanctifie them.
allein zum Vorhang soll er nicht kommen, und zum Altar soll er nicht nahen, denn ein Gebrechen ist an ihm, daß er nicht meine Heiligtümer [O. heiligen Dinge] entweihe; denn ich bin Jehova, der sie heiligt.
24 Thus spake Moses vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel.
Und so redete Mose zu Aaron und zu seinen Söhnen und zu allen Kindern Israel.
