Leviticus 20

1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

१परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

2 Thou shalt say also to the children of Israel, Whosoeuer he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that dwell in Israel, that giueth his children vnto Molech, he shall die the death, ye people of ye land shall stone him to death.

२“तू इस्राएल लोकांस आणखी असे सांग की, इस्राएलांपैकी किंवा इस्राएल लोकांमध्ये राहणाऱ्या परकियांपैकी कोणी आपल्या मुलाबाळांतून एखादे मूल मोलख दैवतास अर्पील तर त्या मनुष्यास जिवे मारावे! आपल्या देशाच्या लोकांनी त्यास धोंडमार करावा!”

3 And I will set my face against that man and cut him off from among his people, because he hath giuen his children vnto Molech, for to defile my Sanctuarie, and to pollute mine holy Name.

३मीही त्या मनुष्याच्या विरूद्ध होईन! आणि त्यास आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकीन! कारण त्याने आपले मूल मोलख दैवतास अर्पून माझे पवित्रस्थान भ्रष्ट केले व माझ्या पवित्र नावाला कलंक लावला!

4 And if the people of the lande hide their eyes, and winke at that man when he giueth his children vnto Molech, and kill him not,

४मोलख दैवताला आपले मूल अर्पिण्याकडे देशाचे इतर सामान्य लोक डोळेझाक करून त्यास जिवे मारणार नाहीत.

5 Then will I set my face against that man, and against his familie, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him to comit whoredome with Molech, from among their people.

५तर मी त्या मनुष्याच्या व त्याच्या कुटुंबाच्या विरूद्ध होईन! आणि त्यास व मजवर अविश्वास दाखवून जो कोणी व्यभिचारी मतीने मोलख दैवताच्या नादी लागून त्यांच्यामागे जातील त्यांना आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकीन!

6 If any turne after such as worke with spirits, and after soothsayers, to go a whoring after them, then will I set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.

६जो मनुष्य व्यभिचारी मतीने सल्लामसलत विचारण्यास पंचाक्षऱ्याकडे व चेटक्याकडे जातो तो माझ्याशी विश्वासघात करीत आहे मी त्याच्या विरूद्ध होईन व त्यास आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकीन.

7 Sanctifie your selues therefore, and be holie, for I am the Lord your God.

७म्हणून शुद्ध व्हा! आपणास पवित्र करा! कारण मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!

8 Keepe ye therefore mine ordinances, and doe them. I am the Lord which doeth sanctifie you.

८तुम्ही माझ्या नियमांची आठवण ठेवून ते पाळा; मीच तुम्हास पवित्र करणारा परमेश्वर आहे!

9 If there be any that curseth his father or his mother, he shall die the death: seeing hee hath cursed his father and his mother, his blood shalbe vpon him.

९जो मनुष्य आपल्या बापाला किंवा आपल्या आईला शिव्याशाप देईल त्यास अवश्य जिवे मारावे त्याने आपल्या बापाला व आपल्या आईला शिव्याशाप दिला आहे म्हणून त्याच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्याच्याच माथी राहील.

10 And the man that committeth adulterie with another mans wife, because he hath comitted adulterie with his neighbours wife, the adulterer and the adulteresse shall die the death.

१०जो मनुष्य आपल्या शेजाऱ्याच्या पत्नीपाशी जातो तो मनुष्य व ती स्त्री, ते दोघेही व्यभिचाराच्या पापाचे अपराधी आहेत; त्या दोघांना अवश्य जिवे मारावे.

11 And the man that lyeth with his fathers wife, because hee hath vncouered his fathers shame, they shall both dye: their blood shalbe vpon them.

११जो आपल्या वडिलाच्या पत्नीपाशी जातो तो आपल्या बापाची लाज उघडी करतो! तो मनुष्य व त्याच्या बापाची पत्नी त्या दोघांनाही अवश्य जिवे मारावे; त्यांच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्यांच्याच माथी राहील.

12 Also the man that lyeth with his daughter in lawe, they both shall dye the death, they haue wrought abomination, their blood shalbe vpon them.

१२एखादा पुरुष आपल्या सुनेशी शारीरिक संबंध ठेवेल तर त्या दोघांनाही अवश्य जिवे मारावे; त्यांनी शरीरसंबंधाचे भयंकर पाप केले आहे! त्यांच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्यांच्याच माथी राहील.

13 The man also that lyeth with the male, as one lyeth with a woman, they haue both committed abomination: they shall dye the death, their blood shalbe vpon them.

१३एखाद्या पुरुषाने स्त्रीगमनाप्रमाणे पुरुषगमन केले तर ते भयंकर पाप त्या दोघांनी केले आहे म्हणून त्या दोघांनाही अवश्य जिवे मारावे; त्यांच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्याच्याच माथी राहील.

14 Likewise he that taketh a wife and her mother, committeth wickednesse: they shall burne him and them with fire, that there be no wickednes among you.

१४कोणा पुरुषाने एखादी स्त्री व तिची मुलगी या दोघींबरोबर विवाह केला तर तो अतिदुष्टपणा होय. त्या पुरुषाला व त्या दोन्ही स्त्रीयांना अग्नीत जाळून टाकावे! तुमच्यामध्ये असे अतिदुष्टपणाचे पाप होऊ देऊ नये!

15 Also the man that lyeth with a beast, shall dye the death, and ye shall slay the beast.

१५कोणा पुरुषाने पशूगमन केले तर त्यास अवश्य जिवे मारावे आणि त्या पशूलाही मारुन टाकावे.

16 And if a woman come to any beast, and lye therewith, then thou shalt kill the woman and the beast: they shall die the death, their blood shalbe vpon them.

१६कोणी स्त्री पशूगमन करील तर त्या स्त्रीला व त्या पशूला जिवे मारावे; त्यांना अवश्य मारुन टाकावे; त्यांच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्यांच्याच माथी राहील.

17 Also the man that taketh his sister, his fathers daughter, or his mothers daughter, and seeth her shame and she seeth his shame, it is villenie: therefore they shall be cut off in the sight of their people, because he hath vncouered his sisters shame, he shall beare his iniquitie.

१७कोणी आपल्या बहिणीला, मग ती त्याच्या बापाची मुलगी असो किंवा त्याच्या आईची मुलगी असो, आपली पत्नी करून घेईल व ती दोघे शरीरसंबंध करतील तर ते लाजीरवाणे कर्म आहे! त्या दोघांना आपल्या भाऊबंदादेखत शिक्षा व्हावी! त्यांना आपल्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकावे. त्याने आपल्या बहिणीबरोबर केलेल्या वाईट कर्माबद्दल शिक्षा भोगावी.

18 The man also that lyeth with a woman hauing her disease, and vncouereth her shame, and openeth her fountaine, and she open the foutaine of her blood, they shall bee euen both cut off from among their people.

१८ऋतुमती स्त्रीशी कोणी पुरुषाने शरीरसंबंध केला तर तो पुरुष व ती स्त्री या दोघांनाही त्यांच्या लोकांतून बाहेर टाकावे; कारण त्यांने तिच्या रक्ताचा झरा उघडा करून पाप केले आहे.

19 Moreouer thou shalt not vncouer the shame of thy mothers sister, nor of thy fathers sister: because he hath vncouered his kin, they shall beare their iniquitie.

१९आपली मावशी किंवा आपली आत्या ह्याच्याशी शारीरिक संबंध ठेवू नयेत व तसे करणाऱ्याने त्याच्या जवळच्या आप्ताची काया उघडी केली आहे त्यांनी आपल्या दुष्कर्माबद्दल शिक्षा भोगावी.

20 Likewise the man that lyeth with his fathers brothers wife, and vncouereth his vncles shame: they shall beare their iniquitie, and shall die childlesse.

२०कोणी आपल्या चुलतीशी शारीरिक संबंध ठेवेल तर त्याने आपल्या चुलत्याची लाज उघडी केली असे होईल; ते आपल्या पापाची शिक्षा भोगतील व संतती न होता मरतील.

21 So the man that taketh his brothers wife, committeth filthines, because he hath vncouered his brothers shame: they shalbe childles.

२१आपल्या भावजयीशी शारीरिक संबंध ठेवणे हे पापी कृत्य आहे; जो कोणी असे करील त्याने आपल्या भावाची लाज उघडी केली असे होईल! त्यांना संतती होणार नाही.

22 Ye shall keepe therefore all mine ordinances and all my iudgements, and doe them, that the land, whither I bring you to dwel therein, spue you not out.

२२म्हणून तुम्ही माझे सर्व विधी व माझे सर्व नियम यांची आठवण ठेवून ते पाळावे म्हणजे ज्या देशात मी तुम्हास घेऊन जात आहे त्यामध्ये तुमची वस्ती होईल; तो देश तुमचा त्याग करणार नाही.

23 Wherefore ye shall not walke in the maners of this nation which I cast out before you: for they haue committed all these things, therefore I abhorred them.

२३ज्या राष्ट्रांना मी तुमच्या पुढून घालवून देत आहे त्यांनी असली सर्व पापी कृत्ये केली म्हणून मला त्यांचा वीट आला! तुम्ही त्यांच्या रीतीरीवाजाप्रमाणे चालू नका.

24 But I haue saide vnto you, ye shall inherite their land, and I will giue it vnto you to possesse it, euen a land that floweth with milke and honie: I am the Lord your God, which haue separated you from other people.

२४मी तुम्हास सांगितले आहे की त्यांचा देश तुमचे वतन होईल! तो मी तुमच्या ताब्यात देत आहे. त्यामध्ये दुधामधाचे प्रवाह वाहात आहेत; इतर राष्ट्रापासून वेगळे करून मी तुम्हास माझे विशेष लोक म्हणून चालविले आहे. मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे!

25 Therefore shall ye put difference betweene cleane beastes and vncleane, and betweene vncleane foules and cleane: neither shall ye defile your selues with beastes and foules, nor with any creeping thing, that ye ground bringeth forth, which I haue separated from you as vncleane.

२५म्हणून तुम्ही शुद्ध व अशुद्ध पशू आणि शुद्ध व अशुद्ध पक्षी ह्याच्यातील भेद पाळावा, आणि जे पशू, पक्षी व जमिनीवर रांगणारे प्राणी मी अशुद्ध ठरविले आहेत ते तुम्ही खाऊ नये.

26 Therefore shall ye be holie vnto me: for I the Lord am holy, and I haue separated you from other people, that ye shoulde be mine.

२६तुम्ही माझेच असावे म्हणून मी तुम्हास इतर राष्ट्रापासून वेगळे केले आहे; तुम्ही माझ्याकरिता पवित्र व्हावे! कारण मी तुमचा परमेश्वर आहे आणि मी पवित्र आहे!

27 And if a man or woman haue a spirite of diuination, or soothsaying in them, they shall die the death: they shall stone them to death, their blood shalbe vpon them.

२७कोणी पंचाक्षरी किंवा चेटकी करणारा असला, मग तो पुरुष असो किंवा स्त्री असो, त्यांना अवश्य जिवे मारावे; लोकांनी त्यांना धोंडमार करावा; त्यांच्या रक्तपाताची जबाबदारी त्यांच्याच माथी राहील.
