Leviticus 11
1 After, the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying vnto them,
Szóla ismét az Úr Mózesnek és Áronnak, mondván nékik:
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say, These are the beastes which yee shall eate, among all the beasts that are on the earth.
Szóljatok Izráel fiainak, mondván: Ezek azok az állatok, a melyeket megehettek minden barmok közül, a melyek vannak e földön:
3 Whatsoeuer parteth the hoofe, and is clouen footed, and cheweth the cudde, among the beastes, that shall ye eate.
Mindazt, a minek hasadt a körme, és egészen ketté hasadt körme van, és kérődző a barmok közt, megehetitek.
4 But of them that chewe the cud, or deuide the hoofe onely, of them yee shall not eate: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not ye hoofe, he shall be vncleane vnto you.
De a kérődzők és a hasadt körműek közül ne egyétek meg ezeket: A tevét, mert az kérődző ugyan, de nincs hasadt körme; tisztátalan ez néktek.
5 Likewise the conie, because he cheweth the cud and deuideth not the hoofe, he shall bee vncleane to you.
A hörcsököt, mert kérődző ugyan, de nem hasadt a körme; tisztátalan ez néktek.
6 Also the hare, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not the hoofe, he shalbe vncleane to you.
A nyulat, mert kérődző ugyan, de nem hasadt a körme; tisztátalan ez néktek.
7 And the swine, because he parteth ye hoofe and is clouen footed, but cheweth not the cud, he shalbe vncleane to you.
És a disznót, mert hasadt körmű ugyan és egészen ketté hasadt körme van, de nem kérődzik; tisztátalan ez néktek.
8 Of their flesh shall yee not eate, and their carkeise shall yee not touch: for they shall bee vncleane to you.
Ezeknek húsából ne egyetek, és holttestöket se illessétek; tisztátalanok ezek néktek.
9 These shall ye eate, of all that are in the waters: whatsoeuer hath finnes and skales in ye waters, in the seas, or in the riuers, them shall ye eate.
Mindazokból, a melyek a vizekben élnek, ezeket ehetitek meg: A minek úszószárnya és pikkelye van a vizekben, tengerekben és folyóvizekben, azokat mind egyétek meg.
10 But all that haue not finnes nor skales in the seas, or in the riuers, of all that moueth in the waters, and of al liuing things that are in the waters, they shalbe an abomination vnto you.
A minek pedig nincsen úszószárnya és pikkelye a tengerekben és folyóvizekben, legyen az akármely vízben nyüzsgő, és akármely vízben élő állat; mind útálatos az néktek.
11 They, I say, shalbe an abomination to you: ye shall not eate of their flesh, but shall abhorre their carkeis.
De legyenek is útálatosak néktek; azoknak húsából ne egyetek, és holttestöket is útáljátok.
12 Whatsoeuer hath not fins nor skales in the waters, that shalbe abomination vnto you.
A minek nincs úszószárnya és pikkelye a vizekben, mind útálatos az néktek.
13 These shall ye haue also in abomination among the foules, they shall not be eaten: for they are an abomination, the eagle, and the goshauke, and the osprey:
A szárnyas állatok közül pedig ezeket útáljátok; meg ne egyétek, útálatosak ezek: a sas, a saskeselyű és a halászó sas.
14 Also the vultur, and the kite after his kinde,
A sólyom és a héja az ő nemével.
15 And all rauens after their kinde:
Minden holló az ő nemével.
16 The ostrich also, and the night crowe, and the seameaw, and the hauke after his kinde:
A strucz, a bagoly, a kakuk és a karvaly az ő nemével.
17 The litle owle also, and the connorant, and the great owle.
A kuvik, a hattyú és a füles bagoly.
18 Also the redshanke and the pelicane, and the swanne:
A bölömbika, a pelikán és a gém.
19 The storke also, the heron after his kinde, and the lapwing, and the backe:
Az eszterág és a szarka az ő nemével, a büdös banka és a denevér.
20 Also euery foule that creepeth and goeth vpon all foure, such shalbe an abomination vnto you.
Minden szárnyas féreg, a mely négy lábon jár, útálatos néktek.
21 Yet these shall ye eate: of euery foule that creepeth, and goeth vpon all foure which haue their feete and legs all of one to leape withal vpon the earth,
Csak azt ehetitek meg a négylábú szárnyas férgek közül, a melynek lábain felűl szökő-szárai vannak, hogy szökdécselhessen azokkal a földön.
22 Of them ye shall eate these, the grashopper after his kinde, and the solean after his kinde, the hargol after his kinde, and the hagab after his kind.
Ezeket egyétek meg azok közül: az arbé-sáskát az ő nemével, a szolám-sáskát az ő nemével, a khargol-sáskát az ő nemével és a khagab-sáskát az ő nemével.
23 But al other foules that creepe and haue foure feete, they shalbe abomination vnto you.
Minden egyéb négylábú szárnyas féreg pedig útálatos legyen néktek.
24 For by such ye shalbe polluted: whosoeuer toucheth their carkeis, shalbe vncleane vnto the euening.
És ezekkel tisztátalanokká teszitek magatokat; mindaz, a ki illeti holttestüket, tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
25 Whosoeuer also beareth of their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil euen.
Mindaz pedig, a ki hordozza azoknak holttestét, mossa meg az ő ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
26 Euery beast that hath clawes deuided, and is not clouen footed, nor cheweth the cud, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: euery one that toucheth them, shalbe vncleane.
Minden barom, a melynek hasadt a körme, de nincs egészen ketté hasadva, és nem kérődzik, tisztátalan legyen néktek; valaki illeti azt, tisztátalan legyen.
27 And whatsoeuer goeth vpon his pawes among all maner beastes that goeth on all foure, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: who so doth touch their carkeis shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
Minden állat, a mely a négylábúak között a talpán jár, tisztátalan legyen néktek; mindaz, a ki azoknak holttestét illeti, tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
28 And he that beareth their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntill the euen: for such shalbe vncleane vnto you.
A ki pedig hordozza azoknak holttestét, mossa meg az ő ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. Tisztátalanok azok néktek.
29 Also these shalbe vncleane to you amog the things that creepe and moue vpon the earth, the weasell, and the mouse, and the frog, after his kinde:
A földön csúszó-mászó állatok között pedig ezek legyenek tisztátalanok: a menyét, az egér és a gyík az ő nemével.
30 Also the rat, and the lizard, and the chameleon, and the stellio, and the molle.
A sündisznó, a kaméleon, a tarka gyík, a csiga és a vakondok.
31 These shall be vncleane to you among all that creepe: whosoeuer doeth touch them when they be dead, shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
Ezek tisztátalanok néktek minden csúszó-mászó között; valaki illeti ezeket holtuk után, tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
32 Also whatsoeuer any of the dead carkeises of them doth fall vpon, shalbe vncleane, whether it be vessel of wood, or rayment, or skinne, or sacke: whatsoeuer vessel it be that is occupied, it shalbe put in the water as vncleane vntil the euen, and so be purified.
És minden, a mire ezek közül holtuk után esik valamelyik, tisztátalan legyen; akármely faedény, akár ruha, vagy bőr, vagy zsák; akármely eszköz, a mivel dolgozni szoktak, vízbe tétessék, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig, ezután tiszta legyen.
33 But euery earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoeuer is within it shalbe vncleane, and ye shall breake it.
Akármely cserépedény pedig, a melybe beleesik valami azokból, mindazzal együtt, a mi benne van, tisztátalan legyen, és az edényt törjétek el.
34 Al meate also that shalbe eaten, if any such water come vpon it, shalbe vncleane: and all drinke that shalbe drunke in al such vessels shalbe vncleane.
Minden megehető eledel, a melyhez az ilyen edényből víz jut, tisztátalan, és minden megiható ital is minden ilyen edényben tisztátalan legyen.
35 And euery thing that their carkeis fall vpon, shalbe vncleane: the fornais or the pot shalbe broken: for they are vncleane, and shalbe vncleane vnto you.
És minden, a mire azoknak holttestéből esik valami, tisztátalan; kemencze és tűzhely lerontassék; tisztátalanok azok és tisztátalanok legyenek néktek.
36 Yet the fountaines and welles where there is plentie of water shalbe cleane: but that which toucheth their carkeises shalbe vncleane.
De a forrás, a kút, az egybegyűlt víz tiszta legyen; de a mi azoknak holttestéhez ér, tisztátalan.
37 And if there fal of their dead carkeis vpon any seede, which vseth to be sowe, it shalbe cleane.
Hogyha azoknak holttestéből reáesik is valamely vetőmagra, a mely elvetendő, tiszta legyen az.
38 But if any water be powred vpon ye seede, and there fal of their dead carkeis thereon, it shall be vncleane vnto you.
De ha vizet töltenek a magra, és úgy esik rá azoknak holttestéből, tisztátalan az ilyen néktek.
39 If also any beast, whereof ye may eate, die, he that toucheth the carkeis thereof shall be vncleane vntil the euen.
Hogyha olyan hullik el a barmok közül, a mely eledeletek néktek; a ki annak holttestét illeti, tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
40 And he that eateth of the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes and be vncleane vntil the euen: he also that beareth the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil the euen.
A ki pedig eszik annak holttestéből, mossa meg az ő ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. És mossa meg ruháit az is, a ki hordozta annak holttestét, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig.
41 Euery creeping thing therefore that creepeth vpon the earth shalbe an abomination, and not be eaten.
Mindaz is, a mi csúszik-mászik a földön, útálatos legyen, meg ne egyétek.
42 Whatsoeuer goeth vpon the breast, and whatsoeuer goeth vpon al foure, or that hath many feete among all creeping thinges that creepe vpon the earth, ye shall not eate of them, for they shalbe abomination.
Mindazt, a mi hason csúszik, és mindazt, a mi négy, sőt mindazt, a mi több lábon jár, a földön csúszó-mászó bármely állatot, meg ne egyétek ezeket, mert útálatosak ezek.
43 Ye shall not pollute your selues with any thing that creepeth, neither make your selues vncleane with them, neither defile your selues thereby: ye shall not, I say, be defiled by them,
Meg ne fertéztessétek magatokat semmiféle csúszó-mászó állattal, és meg ne tisztátalanítsátok magatokat azokkal, hogy tisztátalanokká legyetek általok.
44 For I am the Lord your God: be sanctified therefore, and be holy, for I am holy, and defile not your selues with any creeping thing, that creepeth vpon the earth.
Mert én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek; szenteljétek meg azért magatokat, és szentek legyetek, mert én szent vagyok, és meg ne tisztátalanítsátok magatokat semmiféle állat által, a mely csúszik-mászik a földön.
45 For I am the Lord that brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to be your God, and that you should be holy, for I am holy.
Mert én vagyok az Úr, a ki felhoztalak titeket Égyiptom földéből, hogy Istenetekké legyek néktek; legyetek azért szentek, mert én szent vagyok.
46 This is the law of beasts, and of foules, and of euery liuing thing that moueth in the waters, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth:
Ez a törvény a baromfélékről, a szárnyas állatokról, minden élő állatról, a mely nyüzsög a vizekben, és minden állatról, a mely csúszik-mászik a földön.
47 That there may be a difference betweene the vncleane and cleane, and betweene the beast that may be eaten, and the beast that ought not to be eaten.
Hogy különbséget tehessetek a tisztátalan és tiszta között, az olyan állat között, a mely megehető, és az olyan állat között, a mely meg nem ehető.
