Leviticus 11
1 After, the Lord spake vnto Moses and to Aaron, saying vnto them,
१फिर यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून से कहा,
2 Speake vnto the children of Israel, and say, These are the beastes which yee shall eate, among all the beasts that are on the earth.
२“इस्राएलियों से कहो: जितने पशु पृथ्वी पर हैं उन सभी में से तुम इन जीवधारियों का माँस खा सकते हो।
3 Whatsoeuer parteth the hoofe, and is clouen footed, and cheweth the cudde, among the beastes, that shall ye eate.
३पशुओं में से जितने चिरे या फटे खुर के होते हैं और पागुर करते हैं उन्हें खा सकते हो।
4 But of them that chewe the cud, or deuide the hoofe onely, of them yee shall not eate: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not ye hoofe, he shall be vncleane vnto you.
४परन्तु पागुर करनेवाले या फटे खुरवालों में से इन पशुओं को न खाना, अर्थात् ऊँट, जो पागुर तो करता है परन्तु चिरे खुर का नहीं होता, इसलिए वह तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध ठहरा है।
5 Likewise the conie, because he cheweth the cud and deuideth not the hoofe, he shall bee vncleane to you.
५और चट्टानी बिज्जू, जो पागुर तो करता है परन्तु चिरे खुर का नहीं होता, वह भी तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध है।
6 Also the hare, because he cheweth the cud, and deuideth not the hoofe, he shalbe vncleane to you.
६और खरगोश, जो पागुर तो करता है परन्तु चिरे खुर का नहीं होता, इसलिए वह भी तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध है।
7 And the swine, because he parteth ye hoofe and is clouen footed, but cheweth not the cud, he shalbe vncleane to you.
७और सूअर, जो चिरे अर्थात् फटे खुर का होता तो है परन्तु पागुर नहीं करता, इसलिए वह तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध है।
8 Of their flesh shall yee not eate, and their carkeise shall yee not touch: for they shall bee vncleane to you.
८इनके माँस में से कुछ न खाना, और इनकी लोथ को छूना भी नहीं; ये तो तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध है।
9 These shall ye eate, of all that are in the waters: whatsoeuer hath finnes and skales in ye waters, in the seas, or in the riuers, them shall ye eate.
९“फिर जितने जलजन्तु हैं उनमें से तुम इन्हें खा सकते हों, अर्थात् समुद्र या नदियों के जलजन्तुओं में से जितनों के पंख और चोंयेटे होते हैं उन्हें खा सकते हो।
10 But all that haue not finnes nor skales in the seas, or in the riuers, of all that moueth in the waters, and of al liuing things that are in the waters, they shalbe an abomination vnto you.
१०और जलचरी प्राणियों में से जितने जीवधारी बिना पंख और चोंयेटे के समुद्र या नदियों में रहते हैं वे सब तुम्हारे लिये घृणित हैं।
11 They, I say, shalbe an abomination to you: ye shall not eate of their flesh, but shall abhorre their carkeis.
११वे तुम्हारे लिये घृणित ठहरें; तुम उनके माँस में से कुछ न खाना, और उनकी लोथों को अशुद्ध जानना।
12 Whatsoeuer hath not fins nor skales in the waters, that shalbe abomination vnto you.
१२जल में जिस किसी जन्तु के पंख और चोंयेटे नहीं होते वह तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध है।
13 These shall ye haue also in abomination among the foules, they shall not be eaten: for they are an abomination, the eagle, and the goshauke, and the osprey:
१३“फिर पक्षियों में से इनको अशुद्ध जानना, ये अशुद्ध होने के कारण खाए न जाएँ, अर्थात् उकाब, हड़फोड़, कुरर,
14 Also the vultur, and the kite after his kinde,
१४चील, और भाँति-भाँति के बाज,
15 And all rauens after their kinde:
१५और भाँति-भाँति के सब काग,
16 The ostrich also, and the night crowe, and the seameaw, and the hauke after his kinde:
१६शुतुर्मुर्ग, तखमास, जलकुक्कट, और भाँति-भाँति के शिकरे,
17 The litle owle also, and the connorant, and the great owle.
१७हबासिल, हाड़गील, उल्लू,
18 Also the redshanke and the pelicane, and the swanne:
१८राजहँस, धनेश, गिद्ध,
19 The storke also, the heron after his kinde, and the lapwing, and the backe:
१९सारस, भाँति-भाँति के बगुले, टिटीहरी और चमगादड़।
20 Also euery foule that creepeth and goeth vpon all foure, such shalbe an abomination vnto you.
२०“जितने पंखवाले कीड़े चार पाँवों के बल चलते हैं वे सब तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं।
21 Yet these shall ye eate: of euery foule that creepeth, and goeth vpon all foure which haue their feete and legs all of one to leape withal vpon the earth,
२१पर रेंगनेवाले और पंखवाले जो चार पाँवों के बल चलते हैं, जिनके भूमि पर कूदने फाँदने को टाँगें होती हैं उनको तो खा सकते हो।
22 Of them ye shall eate these, the grashopper after his kinde, and the solean after his kinde, the hargol after his kinde, and the hagab after his kind.
२२वे ये हैं, अर्थात् भाँति-भाँति की टिड्डी, भाँति-भाँति के फनगे, भाँति-भाँति के झींगुर, और भाँति-भाँति के टिड्डे।
23 But al other foules that creepe and haue foure feete, they shalbe abomination vnto you.
२३परन्तु और सब रेंगनेवाले पंखवाले जो चार पाँव वाले होते हैं वे तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं।
24 For by such ye shalbe polluted: whosoeuer toucheth their carkeis, shalbe vncleane vnto the euening.
२४“इनके कारण तुम अशुद्ध ठहरोगे; जिस किसी से इनकी लोथ छू जाए वह साँझ तक अशुद्ध ठहरे।
25 Whosoeuer also beareth of their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil euen.
२५और जो कोई इनकी लोथ में का कुछ भी उठाए वह अपने वस्त्र धोए और साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे।
26 Euery beast that hath clawes deuided, and is not clouen footed, nor cheweth the cud, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: euery one that toucheth them, shalbe vncleane.
२६फिर जितने पशु चिरे खुर के होते हैं परन्तु न तो बिलकुल फटे खुर और न पागुर करनेवाले हैं वे तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं; जो कोई उन्हें छूए वह अशुद्ध ठहरेगा।
27 And whatsoeuer goeth vpon his pawes among all maner beastes that goeth on all foure, such shalbe vncleane vnto you: who so doth touch their carkeis shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
२७और चार पाँव के बल चलनेवालों में से जितने पंजों के बल चलते हैं वे सब तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं; जो कोई उनकी लोथ छूए वह साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे।
28 And he that beareth their carkeis, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntill the euen: for such shalbe vncleane vnto you.
२८और जो कोई उनकी लोथ उठाए वह अपने वस्त्र धोए और साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे; क्योंकि वे तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं।
29 Also these shalbe vncleane to you amog the things that creepe and moue vpon the earth, the weasell, and the mouse, and the frog, after his kinde:
२९“और जो पृथ्वी पर रेंगते हैं उनमें से ये रेंगनेवाले तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं, अर्थात् नेवला, चूहा, और भाँति-भाँति के गोह,
30 Also the rat, and the lizard, and the chameleon, and the stellio, and the molle.
३०और छिपकली, मगर, टिकटिक, सांडा, और गिरगिट।
31 These shall be vncleane to you among all that creepe: whosoeuer doeth touch them when they be dead, shalbe vncleane vntil the euen.
३१सब रेंगनेवालों में से ये ही तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध हैं; जो कोई इनकी लोथ छूए वह साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे।
32 Also whatsoeuer any of the dead carkeises of them doth fall vpon, shalbe vncleane, whether it be vessel of wood, or rayment, or skinne, or sacke: whatsoeuer vessel it be that is occupied, it shalbe put in the water as vncleane vntil the euen, and so be purified.
३२और इनमें से किसी की लोथ जिस किसी वस्तु पर पड़ जाए वह भी अशुद्ध ठहरे, चाहे वह काठ का कोई पात्र हो, चाहे वस्त्र, चाहे खाल, चाहे बोरा, चाहे किसी काम का कैसा ही पात्र आदि क्यों न हो; वह जल में डाला जाए, और साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे, तब शुद्ध समझा जाए।
33 But euery earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoeuer is within it shalbe vncleane, and ye shall breake it.
३३और यदि मिट्टी का कोई पात्र हो जिसमें इन जन्तुओं में से कोई पड़े, तो उस पात्र में जो कुछ हो वह अशुद्ध ठहरे, और पात्र को तुम तोड़ डालना।
34 Al meate also that shalbe eaten, if any such water come vpon it, shalbe vncleane: and all drinke that shalbe drunke in al such vessels shalbe vncleane.
३४उसमें जो खाने के योग्य भोजन हो, जिसमें पानी का छुआव हो वह सब अशुद्ध ठहरे; फिर यदि ऐसे पात्र में पीने के लिये कुछ हो तो वह भी अशुद्ध ठहरे।
35 And euery thing that their carkeis fall vpon, shalbe vncleane: the fornais or the pot shalbe broken: for they are vncleane, and shalbe vncleane vnto you.
३५और यदि इनकी लोथ में का कुछ तंदूर या चूल्हे पर पड़े तो वह भी अशुद्ध ठहरे, और तोड़ डाला जाए; क्योंकि वह अशुद्ध हो जाएगा, वह तुम्हारे लिये भी अशुद्ध ठहरे।
36 Yet the fountaines and welles where there is plentie of water shalbe cleane: but that which toucheth their carkeises shalbe vncleane.
३६परन्तु सोता या तालाब जिसमें जल इकट्ठा हो वह तो शुद्ध ही रहे; परन्तु जो कोई इनकी लोथ को छूए वह अशुद्ध ठहरे।
37 And if there fal of their dead carkeis vpon any seede, which vseth to be sowe, it shalbe cleane.
३७और यदि इनकी लोथ में का कुछ किसी प्रकार के बीज पर जो बोने के लिये हो पड़े, तो वह बीज शुद्ध रहे;
38 But if any water be powred vpon ye seede, and there fal of their dead carkeis thereon, it shall be vncleane vnto you.
३८पर यदि बीज पर जल डाला गया हो और पीछे लोथ में का कुछ उस पर पड़ जाए, तो वह तुम्हारे लिये अशुद्ध ठहरे।
39 If also any beast, whereof ye may eate, die, he that toucheth the carkeis thereof shall be vncleane vntil the euen.
३९फिर जिन पशुओं के खाने की आज्ञा तुम को दी गई है यदि उनमें से कोई पशु मरे, तो जो कोई उसकी लोथ छूए वह साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे।
40 And he that eateth of the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes and be vncleane vntil the euen: he also that beareth the carkeis of it, shall wash his clothes, and be vncleane vntil the euen.
४०और उसकी लोथ में से जो कोई कुछ खाए वह अपने वस्त्र धोए और साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे; और जो कोई उसकी लोथ उठाए वह भी अपने वस्त्र धोए और साँझ तक अशुद्ध रहे।
41 Euery creeping thing therefore that creepeth vpon the earth shalbe an abomination, and not be eaten.
४१“सब प्रकार के पृथ्वी पर रेंगनेवाले जन्तु घिनौने हैं; वे खाए न जाएँ।
42 Whatsoeuer goeth vpon the breast, and whatsoeuer goeth vpon al foure, or that hath many feete among all creeping thinges that creepe vpon the earth, ye shall not eate of them, for they shalbe abomination.
४२पृथ्वी पर सब रेंगनेवालों में से जितने पेट या चार पाँवों के बल चलते हैं, या अधिक पाँव वाले होते हैं, उन्हें तुम न खाना; क्योंकि वे घिनौने हैं।
43 Ye shall not pollute your selues with any thing that creepeth, neither make your selues vncleane with them, neither defile your selues thereby: ye shall not, I say, be defiled by them,
४३तुम किसी प्रकार के रेंगनेवाले जन्तु के द्वारा अपने आपको घिनौना न करना; और न उनके द्वारा अपने को अशुद्ध करके अपवित्र ठहराना।
44 For I am the Lord your God: be sanctified therefore, and be holy, for I am holy, and defile not your selues with any creeping thing, that creepeth vpon the earth.
४४क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा हूँ; इस कारण अपने को शुद्ध करके पवित्र बने रहो, क्योंकि मैं पवित्र हूँ। इसलिए तुम किसी प्रकार के रेंगनेवाले जन्तु के द्वारा जो पृथ्वी पर चलता है अपने आपको अशुद्ध न करना।
45 For I am the Lord that brought you out of the lande of Egypt, to be your God, and that you should be holy, for I am holy.
४५क्योंकि मैं वह यहोवा हूँ जो तुम्हें मिस्र देश से इसलिए निकाल ले आया हूँ कि तुम्हारा परमेश्वर ठहरूँ; इसलिए तुम पवित्र बनो, क्योंकि मैं पवित्र हूँ।
46 This is the law of beasts, and of foules, and of euery liuing thing that moueth in the waters, and of euery thing that creepeth vpon the earth:
४६“पशुओं, पक्षियों, और सब जलचरी प्राणियों, और पृथ्वी पर सब रेंगनेवाले प्राणियों के विषय में यही व्यवस्था है,
47 That there may be a difference betweene the vncleane and cleane, and betweene the beast that may be eaten, and the beast that ought not to be eaten.
४७कि शुद्ध अशुद्ध और भक्ष्य और अभक्ष्य जीवधारियों में भेद किया जाए।”
