Leviticus 10
1 But Nadab and Abihu, the sonnes of Aaron, tooke either of them his censor, and put fire therein, and put incense thereupon, and offred strange fire before the Lord, which hee had not commanded them.
Los hijos de Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, encendieron sus quemadores de incienso usando fuego ordinario y encendieron sus quemadores de incienso usando fuego ordinario y pusieron incienso, y de esta manera ofrecieron fuego prohibido en la presencia del Señor, algo que él no había autorizado.
2 Therefore a fire went out from the Lord, and deuoured them: so they dyed before the Lord.
El fuego salió de la presencia del Señor y los quemó. Murieron en la presencia del Señor.
3 Then Moses sayde vnto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will bee sanctified in the that come neere me, and before all the people I will be glorified: but Aaron held his peace.
Moisés explicó a Aarón: “Esto es lo que el Señor estaba hablando cuando dijo: ‘Mostraré mi santidad a los que se acerquen a mí; revelaré mi gloria para que todos la vean’”. Pero Aarón no respondió.
4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan the sonnes of Vzziel, the vncle of Aaron, and saide vnto them, Come neere, cary your brethre from before the Sanctuarie out of the hoste.
Moisés llamó a Misael y a Elzafán, hijos del tío de Aarón, Uziel, y les dijo: “Vengan y lleven los cuerpos de sus primos y llévenlos fuera del campamento, lejos del frente del santuario”.
5 Then they went, and caried them in their coates out of the host, as Moses had comaunded.
Vinieron, los recogieron por sus ropas y los llevaron fuera del campamento, como Moisés había ordenado.
6 After, Moses saide vnto Aaron and vnto Eleazar and Ithamar his sonnes, Vncouer not your heads, neither rent your clothes, least ye dye, and least wrath come vpon all ye people: but let your brethren, all the house of Israel bewayle the burning which the Lord hath kindled.
Entonces Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus hijos Eleazar e Itamar: “No dejensus cabellos sin peinar, ni rasguen sus vestidos de luto, de lo contrario, morirán y el Señor se enfadará con todos. Pero tus parientes y todos los demás israelitas pueden llorar por los que el Señor mató con fuego.
7 And go not yee out from the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, least ye dye: for the anointing oyle of the Lord is vpon you: and they did according to Moses commandement.
No salgas de la entrada del Tabernáculo de Reunión, o morirás, porque has sido ungido por el Señor”. Hicieron lo que dijo Moisés.
8 And the Lord spake vnto Aaron, saying,
El Señor le dijo a Aarón:
9 Thou shalt not drinke wine nor strong drinke, thou, nor thy sonnes with thee, when yee come into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, lest ye die: this is an ordinance for euer throughout your generations,
“Tú y tu descendencia no deben beber vino ni ningún otro tipo de alcohol cuando entren al Tabernáculo de Reunión, de lo contrario morirán. Esta norma es para siempre y para todas las generaciones futuras.
10 That ye may put difference betweene the holy and the vnholy, and betweene the cleane and the vncleane,
Debes darte cuenta de la diferencia entre lo santo y lo ordinario, entre lo limpio y lo impuro,
11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath commanded them by the hand of Moses.
para que puedas enseñar a los israelitas todas las normas que el Señor les ha dado a través de Moisés”.
12 Then Moses saide vnto Aaron and vnto Eleazar and to Ithamar his sonnes that were left, Take the meate offring that remaineth of the offrings of the Lord, made by fire, and eate it without leauen beside ye altar: for it is most holy:
Moisés dijo a Aarón y a sus dos hijos que quedaban, Eleazar e Itamar: “Tomen la ofrenda de grano que sobra de las ofrendas dadas al Señor y comedla sin levadura junto al altar, porque es muy santa.
13 And ye shall eate it in the holy place, because it is thy duetie and thy sonnes duety of the offringes of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.
Deben comerlo en un lugar santo, porque es la parte que os corresponde a ustedes y a sus descendientes de las ofrendas dadas al Señor. Esto es lo que me han ordenado.
14 Also the shaken breast and the heaue shoulder shall yee eate in a cleane place: thou, and thy sonnes, and thy daughters with thee: for they are giuen as thy duetie and thy sonnes duety, of the peace offringes of the children of Israel.
“Tú y tus descendientes masculinos y femeninos pueden comer el pecho de la ofrenda ondulada y la contribución del muslo en cualquier lugar que esté ceremonialmente limpio, porque a ti y a tus descendientes se les ha dado esto como su parte de las ofrendas de paz de los israelitas.
15 The heaue shoulder, and the shaken breast shall they bring with the offringes made by fire of the fat, to shake it to and from before the Lord, and it shalbe thine and thy sonnes with thee by a lawe for euer, as the Lord hath commanded.
La contribución del muslo y el pecho de la ofrenda mecida, así como las porciones de grasa de las ofrendas de comida hechas, deben ser traídas y mecidas como ofrenda mecida ante el Señor. Te pertenecen a ti y a tus hijos para siempre, como el Señor ha ordenado”.
16 And Moses sought the goate that was offred for sinne, and lo, it was burnt: therefore he was angrie with Eleazar and Ithamar the sonnes of Aaron, which were left aliue, saying,
Moisés comprobó lo que había sucedido con el macho cabrío de la ofrenda por el pecado, y descubrió que había sido quemado. Se enfadó con Eleazar e Itamar, los hijos que Aarón había dejado, y les preguntó,
17 Wherfore haue ye not eaten the sinne offring in the holy place, seeing it is most Holie? and God hath giuen it you, to beare the iniquitie of the Congregation, to make an atonement for them before the Lord.
“¿Por qué no tomaron la ofrenda por el pecado y la comieron en el lugar santo, porque es muy santa y se les dio para quitar la culpa del pueblo, haciéndolo justo ante el Señor?
18 Beholde, the blood of it was not brought within the holy place: ye should haue eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
Como su sangre no fue llevada al lugar santo, debieron comerla en el área del santuario, como yo ordené”.
19 And Aaron said vnto Moses, Behold, this day haue they offred their sinne offring, and their burnt offring before the Lord, and such things as thou knowest are come vnto mee: If I had eaten the sinne offring to day, should it haue bene accepted in the sight of the Lord?
Entonces Aarón le explicó a Moisés: “Mira, fue hoy cuando presentaron su ofrenda por el pecado y su holocausto ante el Señor. Después de todo lo que me acaba de pasar, ¿se habría complacido el Señor si yo hubiera comido la ofrenda por el pecado hoy?”
20 So when Moses heard it, he was content.
Cuando Moisés escuchó lo que Aarón tenía que decir, aceptó la explicación.
