Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O Lord, what is come vpon vs: consider, and behold our reproche.
Kumbuka, Yahweh, yaliyo tutokea na uone aibu yetu.
2 Our inheritance is turned to the strangers, our houses to the aliants.
Urithi wetu umegeuziwa kwa wageni; nyumba zetu kwa wageni.
3 We are fatherles, euen without father, and our mothers are as widowes.
Tumekuwa yatima, bila baba, na mama zetu ni kama wajane.
4 Wee haue drunke our water for money, and our wood is solde vnto vs.
Lazima tulipe fedha kwa maji tunayo kunywa, na tulipe fedha kupata mbao zetu.
5 Our neckes are vnder persecution: we are wearie, and haue no rest.
Hao wanakuja kwetu wamekaribia nyuma yetu; tumechoka na hatuwezi pata mapumziko.
6 We haue giuen our handes to the Egyptians, and to Asshur, to be satisfied with bread.
Tumejitoa kwa Misri na kwa Assiria tupate chakula cha kutosha.
7 Our fathers haue sinned, and are not, and we haue borne their iniquities.
Baba zetu walifanya dhambi, na hawapo tena, na tumebeba dhambi zao.
8 Seruants haue ruled ouer vs, none would deliuer vs out of their hands.
Watumwa walitutawala, na hakuna wa kutuokoa na mikono yao.
9 Wee gate our bread with the perill of our liues, because of the sword of the wildernesse.
Tunapata mkate wetu pale tunapo hatarisha maisha, kwasababu ya upanga wa nyikani.
10 Our skinne was blacke like as an ouen because of the terrible famine.
Ngozi zetu zimekuwa na moto kama jiko kwasababu ya joto la njaa.
11 They defiled the women in Zion, and the maydes in the cities of Iudah.
Wanawake wanabakwa Sayuni, na mabikra katika mji wa Yuda.
12 The princes are hanged vp by their hande: the faces of the elders were not had in honour.
Watoto wa mfalme wamenyongwa na mikono yao, na hakuna heshima inayoonyeshwa kwa wazee.
13 They tooke the yong men to grinde, and the children fell vnder the wood.
Wanaume vijana wanalizimishwa kusaga mbegu kwa jiwe la kusagia, na wavulana wanajikwa chini ya vifurushi vya kuni.
14 The Elders haue ceased from the gate and the yong men from their songs.
Wazee wameacha lango la mji, na vijana wameacha miziki.
15 The ioy of our heart is gone, our daunce is turned into mourning.
Furaha ya moyo imekoma na kucheza kwetu kumegeuka kilio.
16 The crowne of our head is fallen: wo nowe vnto vs, that we haue sinned.
Taji limeanguka kichwani mwetu; ole wetu, kwa kuwa tumetenda dhambi!
17 Therefore our heart is heauy for these things, our eyes are dimme,
Kwa kuwa moyo wetu umekuwa unaumwa, na machozi yetu ya fifia, kwa vitu hivi macho yetu yanafifia
18 Because of the mountaine of Zion which is desolate: the foxes runne vpon it.
maana Mlima Sayuni umelala ukiwa, mbwa wa mitaani wacheza juu yake.
19 But thou, O Lord, remainest for euer: thy throne is from generation to generation.
Lakini wewe, Yahweh, unatawala milele, na utaketi katika kiti chako cha enzi vizazi na vizazi. Kwanini unatusahau milele?
20 Wherefore doest thou forget vs for euer, and forsake vs so long time?
Kwanini unatutelekeza kwa siku nyingi?
21 Turne thou vs vnto thee, O Lord, and we shalbe turned: renue our dayes as of olde.
Turejeshe kwako, Yahweh, na sisi tutarejea. Fanya upya siku zetu kama zilivyo kuwa hapo zamani -
22 But thou hast vtterly reiected vs: thou art exceedingly angry against vs.
vinginevyo labda uwe umetukataa na una hasira kwetu kupita kiasi.
