Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O Lord, what is come vpon vs: consider, and behold our reproche.
Acuérdate, Yahvé, de lo que nos ha ocurrido. Mira, y ve nuestro reproche.
2 Our inheritance is turned to the strangers, our houses to the aliants.
Nuestra herencia ha sido entregada a extraños, nuestras casas a los extranjeros.
3 We are fatherles, euen without father, and our mothers are as widowes.
Somos huérfanos y sin padre. Nuestras madres están como viudas.
4 Wee haue drunke our water for money, and our wood is solde vnto vs.
Hay que pagar por el agua para beber. Nos venden la madera.
5 Our neckes are vnder persecution: we are wearie, and haue no rest.
Nuestros perseguidores están en nuestro cuello. Estamos cansados y no tenemos descanso.
6 We haue giuen our handes to the Egyptians, and to Asshur, to be satisfied with bread.
Hemos entregado nuestras manos a los egipcios, y a los asirios, que se conformen con el pan.
7 Our fathers haue sinned, and are not, and we haue borne their iniquities.
Nuestros padres pecaron y ya no existen. Hemos soportado sus iniquidades.
8 Seruants haue ruled ouer vs, none would deliuer vs out of their hands.
Los siervos nos gobiernan. No hay nadie que nos libere de su mano.
9 Wee gate our bread with the perill of our liues, because of the sword of the wildernesse.
Conseguimos el pan a costa de nuestra vida, a causa de la espada en el desierto.
10 Our skinne was blacke like as an ouen because of the terrible famine.
Nuestra piel es negra como un horno, por el calor abrasador del hambre.
11 They defiled the women in Zion, and the maydes in the cities of Iudah.
Violaron a las mujeres en Sión, las vírgenes en las ciudades de Judá.
12 The princes are hanged vp by their hande: the faces of the elders were not had in honour.
Príncipes fueron colgados de las manos. Los rostros de los ancianos no fueron honrados.
13 They tooke the yong men to grinde, and the children fell vnder the wood.
Los jóvenes llevan piedras de molino. Los niños tropezaron bajo cargas de madera.
14 The Elders haue ceased from the gate and the yong men from their songs.
Los ancianos se han retirado de la puerta, y los jóvenes de su música.
15 The ioy of our heart is gone, our daunce is turned into mourning.
La alegría de nuestro corazón ha cesado. Nuestra danza se convierte en luto.
16 The crowne of our head is fallen: wo nowe vnto vs, that we haue sinned.
La corona ha caído de nuestra cabeza. ¡Ay de nosotros, que hemos pecado!
17 Therefore our heart is heauy for these things, our eyes are dimme,
Por esto nuestro corazón desfallece. Para estas cosas nuestros ojos son débiles:
18 Because of the mountaine of Zion which is desolate: the foxes runne vpon it.
para el monte de Sión, que está desolado. Los zorros caminan sobre ella.
19 But thou, O Lord, remainest for euer: thy throne is from generation to generation.
Tú, Yahvé, permaneces para siempre. Su trono es de generación en generación.
20 Wherefore doest thou forget vs for euer, and forsake vs so long time?
¿Por qué nos olvidas para siempre? y abandonarnos durante tanto tiempo?
21 Turne thou vs vnto thee, O Lord, and we shalbe turned: renue our dayes as of olde.
Vuélvenos a ti, Yahvé, y nos convertiremos. Renueva nuestros días como antaño.
22 But thou hast vtterly reiected vs: thou art exceedingly angry against vs.
Pero nos habéis rechazado por completo. Estáis muy enfadados con nosotros.
