Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O Lord, what is come vpon vs: consider, and behold our reproche.
Yaa Waaqayyo, waan nurra gaʼe yaadadhu; ilaali; salphina keenyas argi.
2 Our inheritance is turned to the strangers, our houses to the aliants.
Handhuuraan keenya alagootaaf, manneen keenyas Namoota Ormaatiif dabarfamanii kennamaniiru.
3 We are fatherles, euen without father, and our mothers are as widowes.
Nu ijoollee abbaa hin qabne taane; haadhonni keenya immoo haadhota hiyyeessaa taʼaniiru.
4 Wee haue drunke our water for money, and our wood is solde vnto vs.
Nu bishaan dhugnuuf kaffaluu qabna turre; qoraan illee bittaa qofaan arganna.
5 Our neckes are vnder persecution: we are wearie, and haue no rest.
Warri nu ariʼan koomee keenya bira jiru; nu dadhabneerra; boqonnaas hin qabnu.
6 We haue giuen our handes to the Egyptians, and to Asshur, to be satisfied with bread.
Nu buddeena gaʼaa argachuuf jennee warra Gibxittii fi warra Asooritti harka kennine;
7 Our fathers haue sinned, and are not, and we haue borne their iniquities.
Abbootiin keenya cubbuu hojjetanii darban; nu immoo adabbii isaanii baanne.
8 Seruants haue ruled ouer vs, none would deliuer vs out of their hands.
Garbootatu nu bulcha; namni harka isaaniitii bilisa nu baasu tokko iyyuu hin jiru.
9 Wee gate our bread with the perill of our liues, because of the sword of the wildernesse.
Sababii goraadee gammoojjii jiruutiin lubbuu keenya balaaf saaxillee buddeena arganna.
10 Our skinne was blacke like as an ouen because of the terrible famine.
Gogaan keenya sababii beelaatiin akkuma badaa ibiddaa hoʼa.
11 They defiled the women in Zion, and the maydes in the cities of Iudah.
Xiyoon keessatti dubartoonni, magaalaawwan Yihuudaa keessattis dubarran qulqulluun humnaan gudeedaman.
12 The princes are hanged vp by their hande: the faces of the elders were not had in honour.
Ilmaan moototaa harka isaaniitiin fannifamaniiru; maanguddoonni ulfina hin arganne.
13 They tooke the yong men to grinde, and the children fell vnder the wood.
Gaʼeessonni akka midhaan daakan dirqisiifaman; ijoolleen dhiiraa muka baachuun gatantaran.
14 The Elders haue ceased from the gate and the yong men from their songs.
Maanguddoonni karra magaalaa duraa deemaniiru; dargaggoonnis weedduu isaanii dhiisaniiru.
15 The ioy of our heart is gone, our daunce is turned into mourning.
Gammachuun garaa keenya keessaa badeera; shuubbisuun keenyas booʼichatti geeddarameera.
16 The crowne of our head is fallen: wo nowe vnto vs, that we haue sinned.
Gonfoon mataa keenya irraa buʼeera. Nuuf wayyoo; nu cubbuu hojjenneerraatii!
17 Therefore our heart is heauy for these things, our eyes are dimme,
Sababii waan kanaatiif onneen keenya ni gaggabe; sababii waan kanaatiif immoo iji keenya dadhabe;
18 Because of the mountaine of Zion which is desolate: the foxes runne vpon it.
Tulluun Xiyoon kan onee hafe sun lafa waangoonni irra burraaqan taʼeeraatii.
19 But thou, O Lord, remainest for euer: thy throne is from generation to generation.
Yaa Waaqayyo, ati bara baraan bulchi; teessoon kees dhalootaa gara dhalootaatti itti fufa.
20 Wherefore doest thou forget vs for euer, and forsake vs so long time?
Ati maaliif guutumaan guutuutti nu irraanfatta? Maaliif bara dheeraas nu dhiifta?
21 Turne thou vs vnto thee, O Lord, and we shalbe turned: renue our dayes as of olde.
Yaa Waaqayyo, akka nu deebinuuf ofitti nu deebisi; bara keenya illee akkuma duriitti haaromsi.
22 But thou hast vtterly reiected vs: thou art exceedingly angry against vs.
Ati yoo guutumaan guutuutti nu gatuu baatte, yoo akka malees nutti dheekkamuu baatte waan kana godhi.
