Judges 20
1 Then all the children of Israel went out, and the Congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, vnto the Lord in Mizpeh.

2 And the chiefe of all the people, and all the tribes of Israel assembled in the Congregation of the people of God foure hundreth thousand footemen that drewe sword.
Ndị ndu ebo Izrel niile weere ọnọdụ na nzukọ nke ndị Chineke, ọnụọgụgụ ha bụ narị puku ndị agha anọ, ndị na-ebu mma agha.
3 (Now the children of Beniamin heard that the children of Israel were gone vp to Mizpeh) Then the children of Israel saide, Howe is this wickednesse committed?
Mgbe na-adịghị anya, nzukọ ụmụ Izrel niile na Mizpa ruru ụmụ Benjamin ntị. Mgbe ahụ, ndịisi Izrel niile kpọrọ nwoke ahụ e gburu iko ya nwanyị sị ya, “Kọọrọ anyị otu ihe ọjọọ a si mee.”
4 And the same Leuite, the womans husband that was slaine, answered and saide, I came vnto Gibeah that is in Beniamin with my concubine to lodge,
Ya mere, onye Livayị ahụ, di nwanyị ahụ e gburu kwuru sị, “Mụ na iko m nwanyị bịaruru obodo Gibea, obodo nta ndị Benjamin, kwụsị nʼebe ahụ ịnọ ọnọdụ abalị.
5 And the men of Gibeah arose against me, and beset the house round about vpon mee by night, thinking to haue slaine me, and haue forced my concubine that she is dead.

6 Then I tooke my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the countrey of the inheritance of Israel: for they haue committed abomination and villenie in Israel.

7 Behold, ye are al children of Israel: giue your aduise, and counsell herein.
Ugbu a, unu ụmụ Izrel niile, unu onwe unu tụleenụ okwu a, nyekwanụ ndụmọdụ ihe a ga-eme ebe a.”
8 Then all the people arose as one man, saying, There shall not a man of vs goe to his tent, neither any turne into his house.
Ndị mmadụ niile kulitere dịka otu onye, sị, “O nweghị onye ọbụla ga-ala na be ya. O nweghị onye ọbụla ga-esi nʼebe a laa nʼụlọ ya.
9 But now this is that thing which we will do to Gibeah: we wil goe vp by lot against it,
Ma ugbu a, nke a bụ ihe anyị ga-eme ndị Gibea. Anyị ga-efe nza chọpụta ndị ga-aga lụso ndị Gibea agha.
10 And we wil take ten men of the hundreth throughout al the tribes of Israel, and an hundreth of the thousand, and a thousand of ten thousand to bring vitaile for the people that they may do (when they come to Gibeah of Beniamin) according to all the villeny, that it hath done in Israel.
Anyị ga-esite nʼebo niile nke Izrel họpụta mmadụ iri site na narị mmadụ, họpụta narị mmadụ site na puku mmadụ, họpụtakwa puku mmadụ site nʼiri puku mmadụ, ka ha hụ maka iwetara ndị agha ihe oriri. Mgbe ndị agha a rutere Geba dị na Benjamin, anyị pụrụ ịkwụghachi ha ụgwọ ruru ha dịka ihe ihere niile ha mere nʼala Izrel si dị.”
11 So all the men of Israel were gathered against the citie, knit together, as one man.
Ya mere, ndị Izrel niile jikọtara onwe ha ọnụ ibu agha ahụ dịka otu onye, megide obodo ahụ.
12 And the tribes of Israel sent men through al the tribe of Beniamin, saying, What wickednesse is this that is committed among you?
Ndị ebo Izrel zipụrụ ndị ozi ka ha gazuo ebo Benjamin niile, sị ha, “Gịnị bụ ihe ọjọọ nke a jọgburu onwe ya emere nʼetiti unu?
13 Nowe therefore deliuer vs those wicked men which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away euill from Israel: but the children of Beniamin would not obey the voyce of their brethren the children of Israel.
Ugbu a, kpọpụtara anyị ndị ikom ọjọọ dị a si nʼobodo Gibea ka anyị gbuo ha. Anyị ga-esikwa otu a hichapụ ihe ọjọọ a site nʼIzrel.” Ma ụmụ Benjamin egeghị ndị Izrel ibe ha ntị.
14 But ye children of Beniamin gathered them selues together out of the cities vnto Gibeah, to come out and fight against the children of Israel.
Ha sitere nʼobodo ha dị iche iche zukọtaa na Gibea maka ibuso ndị Izrel agha.
15 And ye children of Beniamin were nombred at that time out of the cities sixe and twenty thousand men that drewe sworde, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were nombred seuen hundreth chosen men.
Nʼụbọchị ahụ, ndị Benjamin sitere nʼobodo ha dị iche iche kpọkọta iri puku ndị ikom abụọ na puku isii bụ ndị na-amịpụta mma agha, tinyere narị ndị ikom asaa ahụ zuruoke site na ndị bi na Gibea.
16 Of all this people were seuen hundreth chosen men, being left handed: all these could sling stones at an heare breadth, and not faile.

17 Also the men of Israel, beside Beniamin, were nombred foure hundreth thousande men that drew sword, euen all men of warre.
Ma ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha ụmụ Izrel, ma ọ bụrụ na e wezuga ụmụ Benjamin, dị narị puku anọ.
18 And the children of Israel arose, and went vp to the house of God, and asked of God, saying, Which of vs shall goe vp first to fight against the children of Beniamin? And the Lord said, Iudah shalbe first.
Ma tupu agha ahụ ebido, ndị agha Izrel buru ụzọ gaa Betel ịjụta Chineke ase. Ha jụrụ ya sị, “Olee ebo ga-edu anyị ibuso ndị agha Benjamin agha?” Onyenwe anyị zara sị ha na ọ bụ Juda ga-ebu ụzọ.
19 Then the children of Israel arose vp earely and camped against Gibeah.
Nʼihi nke a, nʼisi ụtụtụ echi ya, ndị agha ụmụ Izrel niile buliri ihe agha ha pụọ, maa ụlọ ikwu ha nso nso Gibea.
20 And the men of Israel went out to battell against Beniamin, and the men of Israel put themselues in aray to fight against the beside Gibeah.
Emesịa, ndị Izrel pụrụ izute ndị Benjamin, doo onwe ha nʼusoro ibu agha na Gibea.
21 And the children of Beniamin came out of Gibeah, and slewe downe to the ground of the Israelites that day two and twentie thousand men.
Ma nʼụbọchị ahụ, ndị Benjamin si Gibea nupụta nʼigwe gbuo ndị agha Izrel ọnụọgụgụ ha dị iri puku abụọ na puku abụọ.
22 And the people, the men of Israel plucked vp their hearts, and set their battel againe in aray in the place where they put them in aray the first day.
Ndị agha Izrel gbarịtara onwe ha ume, ma werekwa ọnọdụ ibu agha dịka ha mere nʼụbọchị mbụ.
23 (For the children of Israel had gone vp and wept before the Lord vnto the euening, and had asked of the Lord, saying, Shall I goe againe to battel against the children of Beniamin my brethren? and the Lord said, Go vp against them)
Ndị agha Izrel kwara akwa nke ukwuu nʼụbọchị ahụ nʼihu Onyenwe anyị site nʼụtụtụ ruo anyasị. Ha jụrụ Onyenwe anyị ase ọzọ sị ya, “Anyị ga-aga nʼihu ịlụso ụmụnna anyị ndị Benjamin ọgụ?” Onyenwe anyị zara sị ha, “Gaanụ ga lụso ha agha.”
24 Then the children of Israel came neere against the children of Beniamin the second day.
Nʼihi nke a, ndị Izrel jeghachikwara ọzọ ibuso ụmụ Benjamin agha nʼụbọchị nke abụọ ya.
25 Also the second day Beniamin came forth to meete them out of Gibeah, and slewe downe to the grounde of the children of Israel againe eighteene thousand men: all they could handle the sword.
Nʼoge a kwa, ndị agha Benjamin si nʼobodo Gibea pụta ibuso ha agha. Ha gburu ndị agha Izrel ọnụọgụgụ ha dị puku iri na asatọ. Ndị a niile bụkwa ndị ji mma agha ebu agha.
26 Then al the children of Israel went vp and all the people came also vnto the house of God, and wept and sate there before the Lord and fasted that day vnto the euening, and offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before the Lord.
Mgbe ahụ, ndị Izrel niile gara Betel, nọdụ nʼebe ahụ, kwaa akwa nʼihu Onyenwe anyị Ha erighị nri ọbụla nʼụbọchị ahụ site nʼụtụtụ ruo nʼanyasị. Ha chere nʼihu Onyenwe anyị onyinye aja udo, ma chụọkwa aja nsure ọkụ.
27 And the children of Israel asked the Lord (for there was the Arke of the couenat of God in those dayes,
Ndị Izrel jụrụ ase site nʼaka Onyenwe anyị. (Nʼoge ndị ahụ, igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Chineke dị nʼebe ahụ.
28 And Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron stoode before it at that time) saying, Shall I yet goe anie more to battel against the children of Beniamin my brethren, or shall I cease? And the Lord said, Go vp: for to morowe I will deliuer them into your hand.
Finehaz nwa Elieza, nwa nwa Erọn na-eje ozi nchụaja nʼebe ahụ.) Ụmụ Izrel jụrụ Onyenwe anyị ase sị ya, “Ọ bụ anyị gaakwa ọzọ ibuso ụmụnna anyị ndị Benjamin agha, ka ị sị anyị agala?” Onyenwe anyị zara sị ha, “Gaanụ, nʼihi na aga m ahụ na unu meriri ndị agha Benjamin echi.”
29 And Israel set men to lie in waite round about Gibeah.
Nʼihi nke a, ụmụ Izrel kewapụtara ndị zoro onwe ha nʼọhịa, gburugburu obodo Gibea.
30 And the children of Israel went vp against the children of Beniamin the third day, and put theselues in aray against Gibeah, as at other times.
Nʼụbọchị nke atọ ya, ha pụrụ gaakwa izute ndị Benjamin, ha were ọnọdụ ha imegide ndị Gibea dịka ha mere nʼoge gara aga.
31 Then the children of Beniamin comming out against the people, were drawen from the citie: and they began to smite of ye people and kill as at other times, euen by the wayes in the fielde (whereof one goeth vp to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah) vpon a thirtie men of Israel.

32 (For the children of Beniamin sayd, They are fallen before vs, as at the first. But the children of Israel saide, Let vs flee and plucke them away from the citie vnto the hie wayes)
Ya mere, mgbe ndị agha Benjamin malitere na-asị, “Lee, anyị emeriela ha dịka anyị mere na mbụ,” ndị Izrel nọ na-ekwu sị, “Ka anyị gbara ọsọ na-aga ruo mgbe ha ga-anọ ebe dị anya site nʼobodo ha.”
33 And all the men of Israel rose vp out of their place, and put themselues in aray at Baal-tamar: and the men that lay in wayte of the Israelites came forth of their place, euen out of the medowes of Gibeah,
Ndị ikom niile nke Izrel sitere nʼọnọdụ ha bilie, doo onwe ha nʼusoro na Baal-Tama, ndị Izrel ndị zoro onwe ha wapụtara site nʼọnọdụ ha nʼọdịda anyanwụ nke Geba, si nʼọhịa mapụta.
34 And they came ouer against Gibeah, ten thousande chosen men of all Israel, and the battell was sore: for they knewe not that the euill was neere them.
Iri puku ndị ikom Izrel ahụ zuruoke gara na ncherita ihu Gibea busoo ya agha. Agha ahụ dị ike nke ukwuu nke mere na ndị Benjamin amataghị na oke mbibi na-abịakwasị ha.
35 And the Lord smote Beniamin before Israel, and the children of Israel destroyed of the Beniamites the same day fiue and twenty thousand and an hundreth men: all they could handle the sword.
Onyenwe anyị meriri ndị Benjamin nʼihu Izrel, nʼụbọchị ahụ; ndị Izrel gburu ndị agha Benjamin ọnụọgụgụ ha dị iri puku abụọ, na puku ise, na otu narị. Ha niile bụkwa ndị na-eji mma agha aga agha.
36 So the children of Beniamin sawe that they were striken downe: for the men of Israel gaue place to the Beniamites, because they trusted to the men that lay in waite, which they had laide beside Gibeah.
Mgbe ahụ, ndị Benjamin nʼonwe ha, hụrụ na e emeriela ha. Ugbu a, ndị ikom Izrel nyere ndị Benjamin ohere ịga nʼihu, nʼihi na ha dabere na ndị ha zoro nʼọhịa nʼakụkụ Gibea.
37 And they that lay in wait hasted, and brake forth toward Gibeah, and the ambushment drewe themselues along, and smote all the citie with the edge of the sword.
Ndị ahụ zoro nʼọhịa gbapụtara ọsịịsọ gbaba nʼobodo Gibea, kesaa onwe ha, were mma agha gbuchapụ ndị niile nọ nʼobodo ahụ.
38 Also the men of Israel had appoynted a certaine time with the ambushmentes, that they should make a great flame and smoke rise vp out of the citie.
Ndị Izrel na ndị zoro nʼọhịa kwekọtara na ha ga-eme ka anwụrụ ọkụ dị ukwuu na-ala elu elu site nʼobodo ahụ,
39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battel, Beniamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirtie persons: for they said, Surely they are striken downe before vs, as in the first battell.
ma mgbe ahụ, ndị Izrel ga-ebido ịbọ ọbọ ogbugbu egburu ha. Ndị Benjamin egbuolarị iri ndị Izrel atọ, nʼihi ya ha sịrị, “Anyị na-emeri ha dịka anyị mere nʼagha mbụ.”
40 But when the flame bega to arise out of the citie, as a pillar of smoke, the Beniamites looked backe, and behold, the flame of the citie began to ascend vp to heauen.
Ma mgbe anwụrụ ọkụ malitere ịla elu site nʼobodo ahụ, ndị Benjamin lere anya nʼazụ hụ ka anwụrụ ọkụ na-ala elu site nʼakụkụ niile nke obodo ahụ.
41 Then the men of Israel turned againe, and the men of Beniamin were astonied: for they saw that euill was neere vnto them.
Mgbe ahụ, ndị Izrel bidoro igbu ha, oke egwu jidere ndị Benjamin nʼihi na ha ghọtara na ịla nʼiyi adakwasịla ha.
42 Therefore they fled before the men of Israel vnto the way of the wildernesse, but the battell ouertooke them: also they which came out of the cities, slew them among them.
Ha si nʼihu ndị Izrel gbaa ọsọ, gbaga nʼụzọ gawara nʼọzara, ma ha enweghị ike ịgbanarị agha ahụ. Ndị Izrel si nʼobodo Gibea gbapụta gburu ha nʼebe ahụ.
43 Thus they compassed the Beniamites about, and chased them at ease, and ouerranne them, euen ouer against Gibeah on the Eastside.
Ha gbara ndị Benjamin gburugburu nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ Gibea, gbuo ọtụtụ nʼime ha nʼebe ahụ.
44 And there were slaine of Beniamin eyghteene thousad men, which were all men of warre.
Ndị agha Benjamin e gburu nʼagha ụbọchị ahụ dị puku iri na asatọ.
45 And they turned and fled to the wildernes vnto the rocke of Rimmon: and the Israelites glayned of them by the way fiue thousand men, and pursued after them vnto Gidom, and slewe two thousand men of them,
Mgbe ha chigharịrị na-agbala nʼụzọ ọzara na-aga nʼebe oke nkume Rimọn dị, ndị Izrel gburu puku ndị agha ise nʼime ha nʼụzọ ahụ. Ha chụgidere ndị Benjamin ọsọ ruo Gidom, gbukwaa puku ndị agha ha abụọ.
46 So that all that were slayne that day of Beniamin, were fiue and twentie thousand men that drewe sword, which were all men of warre:
Ya mere, ndị Benjamin e gburu nʼagha nʼụbọchị ahụ dị iri puku abụọ, na ise. Ndị a bụ ndị agha mma agha, dike na dimkpa nʼagha.
47 But sixe hundreth men turned and fled to the wildernesse vnto the rocke of Rimmon, and abode in the rocke of Rimmon foure moneths.
Naanị narị ndị agha isii nʼime ha tụgharịrị gbapụ ọsọ gbalaga nʼọzara, nʼebe nkume Rimọn dị. Ha nọgidere nʼebe ahụ ọnwa anọ.
48 Then the men of Israel returned vnto the children of Beniamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword from the men of the citie vnto the beasts, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they coulde come by.
Mgbe ahụ, ndị agha Izrel hapụrụ ha, laghachi azụ, gaa nʼobodo ndị Benjamin niile gbuo ndị niile nọ nʼime ha, igwe anụ ụlọ, na ihe ndị ọzọ niile dị nʼime ha. Obodo niile ha ruru, ha kpọrọ ha ọkụ.
