Judges 17
1 There was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Michah,
Había un hombre de la región montañosa de Efraín, llamado Micaias.
2 And he saide vnto his mother, The eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer that were taken from thee, for the which thou cursedst, and spakedst it, euen in mine hearing, beholde, the siluer is with me, I tooke it. Then his mother saide, Blessed be my sonne of the Lord.
Y dijo a su madre: Los mil cien siclos de plata que te fueron robados, de los cuales maldijiste y dijiste en mi oído, he aquí está la plata, porque yo la tomé: así que ahora te la devolveré. Y su madre dijo: Que la bendición del Señor sea sobre mi hijo.
3 And when he had restored the eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer to his mother, his mother sayd, I had dedicate the siluer to the Lord of mine hand for my sonne, to make a grauen and molten image. Now therfore I will giue it thee again.
Y devolvió los mil ochocientos siclos de plata a su madre, y su madre dijo: He dedicado mí plata del Señor para mi hijo, para hacer una imagen representada y una imagen de metal.
4 And when he had restored the money vnto his mother, his mother tooke two hundreth shekels of siluer, and gaue them to the founder, which made thereof a grauen and molten image, and it was in the house of Michah.
Entonces le devolvió la plata a su madre. Luego, su madre tomó doscientos siclos de plata y se los dio a un fundidor que les hizo una imagen de talla y una imagen fundida: y estaba en la casa de Micaías.
5 And this man Michah had an house of gods, and made an Ephod, and Teraphim, and cosecrated one of his sonnes, who was his Priest.
Y el hombre Micaías tenía una casa de dioses; e hizo un efod y dioses familiares y puso a uno de sus hijos en posición de sacerdote.
6 In those dayes there was no King in Israel, but euery man did that which was good in his owne eyes.
En aquellos días no había rey en Israel: todo hombre hacía lo que le parecía correcto.
7 There was also a yong man out of Bethlehem Iudah, of the familie of Iudah: who was a Leuite, and soiourned there.
Había un joven que vivía en Belén de Judá, de la familia de Judá y un levita, que no era un hombre del lugar.
8 And the man departed out of the citie, euen out of Beth-lehem Iudah, to dwell where he coulde finde a place: and as he iourneyed, he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Michah
Y se fue de la ciudad de Belén de judá, buscando un lugar donde vivir; y en su viaje llegó a la región montañosa de Efraín, a la casa de Micaías.
9 And Michah saide vnto him, Whence comest thou? And the Leuite answered him, I come from Beth-lehem Iudah, and goe to dwell where I may finde a place.
Y Miqueas le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes? Y él le dijo: Soy levita de Belén de judá, y busco un lugar donde vivir.
10 Then Michah said vnto him, Dwell with me, and be vnto me a father and a Priest, and I will giue thee ten shekels of siluer by yeere, and a sute of apparell, and thy meate and drinke. So the Leuite went in.
Entonces Micaias le dijo: Haz conmigo un lugar para vivir, y sé mi padre y sacerdote, y te daré diez siclos de plata al año, y tu ropa y comida.
11 And the Leuite was content to dwel with the man, and the yong man was vnto him as one of his owne sonnes.
Y el levita estaba contento con el hombre, y se convirtió para él como uno de sus hijos.
12 And Michah consecrated the Leuite, and the yong man was his Priest, and was in the house of Michah.
Y Micaias consagró al levita, y el joven se convirtió en su sacerdote, y estaba en la casa de Miqueas.
13 Then said Michah, Nowe I know that the Lord will be good vnto me, seeing I haue a Leuite to my Priest.
Entonces Micaias dijo: Ahora estoy seguro de que el Señor me hará bien, ya que el levita se ha convertido en mi sacerdote.
