Judges 17
1 There was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Michah,
E havia um homem da montanha d'Ephraim, cujo nome era Micah.
2 And he saide vnto his mother, The eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer that were taken from thee, for the which thou cursedst, and spakedst it, euen in mine hearing, beholde, the siluer is with me, I tooke it. Then his mother saide, Blessed be my sonne of the Lord.
O qual disse a sua mãe: As mil e cem moedas de prata que te foram tiradas, por cuja causa deitavas maldições, e tambem as disseste em meus ouvidos, eis que este dinheiro eu o tenho, eu o tomei. Então disse sua mãe: Bemdito seja meu filho do Senhor.
3 And when he had restored the eleuen hundreth shekels of siluer to his mother, his mother sayd, I had dedicate the siluer to the Lord of mine hand for my sonne, to make a grauen and molten image. Now therfore I will giue it thee again.
Assim restituiu as mil e cem moedas de prata a sua mãe: porém sua mãe disse: Inteiramente tenho dedicado este dinheiro da minha mão ao Senhor para meu filho, para fazer uma imagem de esculptura e de fundição: de sorte que agora t'o tornarei a dar
4 And when he had restored the money vnto his mother, his mother tooke two hundreth shekels of siluer, and gaue them to the founder, which made thereof a grauen and molten image, and it was in the house of Michah.
Porém elle restituiu aquelle dinheiro a sua mãe: e sua mãe tomou duzentas moedas de prata, e as deu ao ourives, o qual fez d'ellas uma imagem de esculptura e de fundição, e esteve em casa de Micah.
5 And this man Michah had an house of gods, and made an Ephod, and Teraphim, and cosecrated one of his sonnes, who was his Priest.
E teve este homem, Micah, uma casa de deuses: e fez um ephod e teraphins, e consagrou a um de seus filhos, para que lhe fosse por sacerdote.
6 In those dayes there was no King in Israel, but euery man did that which was good in his owne eyes.
N'aquelles dias não havia rei em Israel: cada qual fazia o que parecia direito aos seus olhos.
7 There was also a yong man out of Bethlehem Iudah, of the familie of Iudah: who was a Leuite, and soiourned there.
E havia um mancebo de Beth-lehem de Judah, da tribu de Judah, que era levita, e peregrinava ali.
8 And the man departed out of the citie, euen out of Beth-lehem Iudah, to dwell where he coulde finde a place: and as he iourneyed, he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Michah
E este homem partiu da cidade de Beth-lehem de Judah para peregrinar onde quer que achasse commodidade: chegando elle pois á montanha d'Ephraim, até á casa de Micah, seguindo o seu caminho.
9 And Michah saide vnto him, Whence comest thou? And the Leuite answered him, I come from Beth-lehem Iudah, and goe to dwell where I may finde a place.
Disse-lhe Micah: D'onde vens? E elle lhe disse: Sou levita de Beth-lehem de Judah, e vou peregrinar onde quer que achar commodidade.
10 Then Michah said vnto him, Dwell with me, and be vnto me a father and a Priest, and I will giue thee ten shekels of siluer by yeere, and a sute of apparell, and thy meate and drinke. So the Leuite went in.
Então lhe disse Micah: Fica commigo, e sê-me por pae e sacerdote; e cada anno te darei dez moedas de prata, e vestuario, e o teu sustento. E o levita entrou.
11 And the Leuite was content to dwel with the man, and the yong man was vnto him as one of his owne sonnes.
E consentiu o levita em ficar com aquelle homem: e este mancebo lhe foi como um de seus filhos.
12 And Michah consecrated the Leuite, and the yong man was his Priest, and was in the house of Michah.
E consagrou Micah ao levita, e aquelle mancebo lhe foi por sacerdote; e esteve em casa de Micah.
13 Then said Michah, Nowe I know that the Lord will be good vnto me, seeing I haue a Leuite to my Priest.
Então disse Micah: Agora sei que O Senhor me fará bem: porquanto tenho um levita por sacerdote.
