Judges 14
1 Nowe Samson went downe to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistims,
| و شمشون به تمنه فرود آمده، زنی ازدختران فلسطینیان در تمنه دید. | ۱ |
2 And he came vp and told his father and his mother and saide, I haue seene a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistims: now therfore giue me her to wife.
| وآمده، به پدر و مادر خود بیان کرده، گفت: «زنی ازدختران فلسطینیان در تمنه دیدم، پس الان او رابرای من به زنی بگیرید.» | ۲ |
3 Then his father and his mother sayde vnto him, Is there neuer a wife among the daughters of thy brethren, and among all my people, that thou must go to take a wife of the vncircumcised Philistims? And Samson sayd vnto his father, Giue mee her, for she pleaseth me well.
| پدر و مادرش وی راگفتند: «آیا از دختران برادرانت و در تمامی قوم من دختری نیست که تو باید بروی و از فلسطینیان نامختون زن بگیری؟» شمشون به پدر خود گفت: «او را برای من بگیر زیرا در نظر من پسند آمد.» | ۳ |
4 But his father and his mother knewe not that it came of the Lord, that he should seeke an occasion against the Philistims: for at that time the Philistims reigned ouer Israel.
| اما پدر و مادرش نمی دانستند که این از جانب خداوند است، زیرا که بر فلسطینیان علتی می‌خواست، چونکه در آن وقت فلسطینیان براسرائیل تسلط می‌داشتند. | ۴ |
5 Then went Samson and his father and his mother downe to Timnath, and came to ye vineyardes at Timnath: and beholde, a young Lyon roared vpon him.
| پس شمشون با پدر و مادر خود به تمنه فرودآمد، و چون به تاکستانهای تمنه رسیدند، اینک شیری جوان بر او بغرید. | ۵ |
6 And the Spirit of the Lord came vpon him, and he tare him, as one should haue rent a kid, and had nothing in his hand, neither told he his father nor his mother what he had done.
| و روح خداوند بر اومستقر شده، آن را درید به طوری که بزغاله‌ای دریده شود، و چیزی در دستش نبود و پدر و مادرخود را از آنچه کرده بود، اطلاع نداد. | ۶ |
7 And he went down, and talked with the woman which was beautifull in the eyes of Samson.
| و رفته، باآن زن سخن گفت وبه نظر شمشون پسند آمد. | ۷ |
8 And within a fewe dayes, when he returned to receiue her, he went aside to see the karkeis of the Lion: and behold, there was a swarme of bees, and hony in the body of the Lyon.
| وچون بعد از چندی برای گرفتنش برمی گشت، ازراه به کنار رفت تا لاشه شیر را ببیند و اینک انبوه زنبور، و عسل در لاشه شیر بود. | ۸ |
9 And he tooke therof in his handes, and went eating, and came to his father and to his mother, and gaue vnto them, and they did eate: but hee told not them, that he had taken the hony out of the body of the lyon.
| و آن را به دست خود گرفته، روان شد و در رفتن می‌خورد تابه پدر و مادر خود رسیده، به ایشان داد وخوردند. اما به ایشان نگفت که عسل را از لاشه شیر گرفته بود. | ۹ |
10 So his father went down vnto the woman, and Samson made there a feast: for so vsed the yong men to doe.
| و پدرش نزد آن زن آمد و شمشون در آنجامهمانی کرد، زیرا که جوانان چنین عادت داشتند. | ۱۰ |
11 And when they sawe him, they brought thirtie companions to be with him.
| و واقع شد که چون او را دیدند، سی رفیق انتخاب کردند تا همراه او باشند. | ۱۱ |
12 Then Samson sayd vnto them, I will nowe put forth a riddle vnto you: and if you can declare it me within seuen dayes of the feast, and finde it out, I will giue you thirty sheetes, and thirtie change of garments.
| و شمشون به ایشان گفت: «معمایی برای شما می‌گویم، اگر آن را برای من در هفت روز مهمانی حل کنید و آن رادریافت نمایید، به شما سی جامه کتان و سی دست رخت می‌دهم. | ۱۲ |
13 But if you cannot declare it mee, then shall yee giue mee thirty sheetes and thirtie change of garments. And they answered him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may heare it.
| و اگر آن را برای من نتوانید حل کنید آنگاه شما سی جامه کتان و سی دست رخت به من بدهید.» ایشان به وی گفتند: «معمای خود را بگو تا آن را بشنویم.» | ۱۳ |
14 And he sayd vnto them, Out of the eater came meate, and out of the strong came sweetenesse: and they could not in three dayes expound the riddle.
| به ایشان گفت: «از خورنده خوراک بیرون آمد، و اززورآور شیرینی بیرون آمد.» و ایشان تا سه روزمعما را نتوانستند حل کنند. | ۱۴ |
15 And when the seuenth day was come, they said vnto Samsons wife, Entise thine husband, that he may declare vs the riddle, lest wee burne thee and thy fathers house with fire. Haue ye called vs, to possesse vs? is it not so?
| و واقع شد که در روز هفتم به زن شمشون گفتند: «شوهر خود را ترغیب نما تا معمای خودرا برای ما بیان کند مبادا تو را و خانه پدر تو را به آتش بسوزانیم، آیا ما را دعوت کرده‌اید تا ما راتاراج نمایید یا نه.» | ۱۵ |
16 And Samsons wife wept before him, and said, Surely thou hatest mee and louest mee not: for thou hast put forth a riddle vnto the children of my people, and hast not told it mee. And hee sayd vnto her, Beholde, I haue not told it my father, nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?
| پس زن شمشون پیش اوگریسته، گفت: «به درستی که مرا بغض می‌نمایی و دوست نمی داری زیرا معمایی به پسران قوم من گفته‌ای و آن را برای من بیان نکردی.» او وی راگفت: «اینک برای پدر و مادر خود بیان نکردم، آیابرای تو بیان کنم.» | ۱۶ |
17 Then Samsons wife wept before him seuen dayes, while their feast lasted: and when the seuenth day came he tolde her, because she was importunate vpon him: so she told the riddle to the children of her people.
| و در هفت روزی که ضیافت ایشان می‌بود پیش او می‌گریست، و واقع شد که در روز هفتم چونکه او را بسیار الحاح می‌نمود، برایش بیان کرد و او معما را به پسران قوم خودگفت. | ۱۷ |
18 And the men of ye citie sayde vnto him the seuenth day before the Sunne went downe, What is sweeter then honie? and what is stronger then a lyon? Then sayd hee vnto them, If yee had not plowed with my heiffer, yee had not found out my riddle.
| و در روز هفتم مردان شهر پیش از غروب آفتاب به وی گفتند که «چیست شیرین تراز عسل و چیست زورآورتر از شیر.» او به ایشان گفت: «اگر با گاو من خیش نمی کردید، معمای مرادریافت نمی نمودید.» | ۱۸ |
19 And the Spirite of the Lord came vpon him, and he went downe to Ashkelon, and slew thirtie men of them and spoyled them, and gaue chaunge of garments vnto them, which expounded the riddle: and his wrath was kindled, and he went vp to his fathers house.
| و روح خداوند بر وی مستقر شده، به اشقلون رفت و از اهل آنجا سی نفر را کشت، و اسباب آنها را گرفته، دسته های رخت را به آنانی که معما را بیان کرده بودند، داد وخشمش افروخته شده، به خانه پدر خودبرگشت. | ۱۹ |
20 Then Samsons wife was giuen to his companion, whom he had vsed as his friend.
| و زن شمشون به رفیقش که او رادوست خود می‌شمرد، داده شد. | ۲۰ |
