Judges 13
1 Bvt the children of Israel continued to commit wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord deliuerd them into the handes of the Philistims fourtie yeere.
੧ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
2 Then there was a man in Zorah of the familie of the Danites, named Manoah, whose wife was baren, and bare not.
੨ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਟੱਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨਾਮਕ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਾਂਝ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੱਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
3 And the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto the woman, and said vnto her, Beholde nowe, thou art baren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne.
੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖ, ਬਾਂਝ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੱਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ।
4 And nowe therefore beware that thou drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing.
੪ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਖ਼ਰਸ ਜਾਂ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾ ਪੀਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਵਸਤੂ ਖਾਵੀਂ।
5 For loe, thou shalt conceiue and beare a sonne, and no rasor shall come on his head: for the childe shall be a Nazarite vnto God from his birth: and he shall begin to saue Israel out of the handes of the Philistims.
੫ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਣੇਂਗੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਤਰਾ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਗਰਭ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਜ਼ੀਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਉ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇਗਾ।”
6 Then the wife came, and tolde her husband, saying, A man of God came vnto me, and the facion of him was like the facion of the Angel of God exceeding feareful, but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name,
੬ਤਦ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਭੈਅ ਯੋਗ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
7 But he saide vnto me, Beholde, thou shalt conceiue, and beare a sonne, and nowe thou shalt drinke no wine, nor strong drinke, neither eate any vncleane thing: for the childe shalbe a Nazarite to God from his birth to the day of his death.
੭ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਵੇਖ, ਤੂੰ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਵੇਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਂਗੀ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਦਾਖ਼ਰਸ ਜਾਂ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾ ਪੀਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਵਸਤੂ ਖਾਵੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਗਰਭ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਜ਼ੀਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।’”
8 Then Manoah prayed to the Lord and saide, I pray thee, my Lord, Let the man of God, whome thou sentest, come againe nowe vnto vs, and teach vs what we shall doe vnto the child when he is borne.
੮ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ, ਫੇਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ-ਕੀ ਕਰੀਏ।”
9 And God heard the voyce of Manoah, and the Angel of God came againe vnto the wife, as she sate in the fielde, but Manoah her husband was not with her.
੯ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
10 And the wife made haste and ranne, and shewed her husband and sayde vnto him, Behold, the man hath appeared vnto me, that came vnto me to day.
੧੦ਤਦ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਫਿਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”
11 And Manoah arose and went after his wife, and came to the man, and saide vnto him, Art thou the man that spakest vnto the woman? and he said, Yea.
੧੧ਇਹ ਸੁਣਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਉਹੀ ਹਾਂ।”
12 Then Manoah sayde, Nowe let thy saying come to passe: but howe shall we order the childe and doe vnto him?
੧੨ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ?”
13 And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto Manoah, The woman must beware of all that I said vnto her.
੧੩ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੂਰ ਰਹੇ।
14 She may eate of nothing that commeth of the vinetree: she shall not drinke wine nor strong drinke, nor eate any vncleane thing: let her obserue all that I haue commanded her.
੧੪ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਜੋ ਦਾਖ ਦੀ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਇਹ ਨਾ ਖਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਦਾਖਰਸ, ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਪੀਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਵਸਤੂ ਖਾਵੇ, ਇਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।”
15 Manoah then said vnto the Angell of the Lord, I pray thee, let vs reteine thee, vntill we haue made readie a kid for thee.
੧੫ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਦੇਰ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਮਣਾ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੀਏ।”
16 And the Angel of the Lord said vnto Manoah, Though thou make me abide, I will not eate of thy bread, and if thou wilt make a burnt offring, offer it vnto the Lord: for Manoah knewe not that it was an Angel of the Lord.
੧੬ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਵੀ ਲਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।” ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਹੈ।
17 Againe Manoah said vnto the Angell of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy saying is come to passe, we may honour thee?
੧੭ਫੇਰ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੱਸੋ, ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਆਦਰ ਭਾਉ ਕਰ ਸਕੀਏ।”
18 And the Angell of the Lord saide vnto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, which is secret?
੧੮ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਤਾਂ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈਂ?”
19 Then Manoah tooke a kid with a meate offering, and offered it vpon a stone vnto the Lord: and the Angell did wonderously, whiles Manoah and his wife looked on.
੧੯ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਮਣਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
20 For when the flame came vp toward heauen from the altar, the Angel of the Lord ascended vp in the flame of the altar, and Manoah and his wife behelde it, and fell on their faces vnto the grounde.
੨੦ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਲਾਟ ਉੱਠੀ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੀ ਲਾਟ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਭਾਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਏ।
21 (So the Angel of the Lord did no more appeare vnto Manoah and his wife.) Then Manoah knewe that it was an Angel of the Lord.
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਸੀ।
22 And Manoah said vnto his wife, We shall surely dye, because we haue seene God.
੨੨ਤਦ ਮਾਨੋਆਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੁਣ ਅਸੀਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮਰ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ!”
23 But his wife saide vnto him, If the Lord woulde kill vs, he woulde not haue receiued a burnt offring, and a meate offring of our hands, neither would he haue shewed vs all these things, nor would now haue tolde vs any such.
੨੩ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਦਾ।”
24 And the wife bare a sonne, and called his name Samson: and the childe grewe, and the Lord blessed him.
੨੪ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਮਸੂਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਵੱਧਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
25 And the Spirite of the Lord beganne to strengthen him in the host of Dan, betweene Zorah, and Eshtaol.
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮਹਨੇਹ-ਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਤਾਓਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਭਾਰਣ ਲੱਗਾ।
