Joshua 4
1 And when all the people were wholy gone ouer Iorden, (after the Lord had spoken vnto Ioshua, saying,
௧மக்கள் எல்லோரும் யோர்தான் நதியைக் கடந்தபின்பு, யெகோவா யோசுவாவை நோக்கி:
2 Take you twelue me out of the people, out of euery tribe a man,
௨நீங்கள், ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்திற்கு ஒவ்வொருவராக மக்களில் பன்னிரண்டுபேரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு,
3 And command you them, saying, Take you hence out of the middes of Iorden, out of the place where the Priestes stoode in a readinesse, twelue stones, which ye shall take away with you, and leaue them in the lodging where you shall lodge this night)
௩இங்கே யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவிலே ஆசாரியர்களின் கால்கள் நிலையாக நின்ற இடத்திலே பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை எடுத்து, அவைகளை உங்களோடு அக்கரைக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், நீங்கள் இன்று இரவில் தங்கும் இடத்திலே அவைகளை வையுங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுங்கள் என்றார்.
4 Then Ioshua called the twelue men, whome he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of euery tribe a man,
௪அப்பொழுது யோசுவா இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களில் ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்திற்கு ஒவ்வொருவராக ஆயத்தப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருந்த பன்னிரண்டுபேரை அழைத்து,
5 And Ioshua said vnto them, Go ouer before the Arke of the Lord your God, euen through the middes of Iorden, and take vp euery man of you a stone vpon his shoulder according vnto the nomber of the tribes of the children of Israel,
௫அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவில் உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோய், உங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு அடையாளமாக இருக்கும்படிக்கு, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கைக்குச் சமமாக, உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவனும் ஒவ்வொரு கல்லைத் தன் தோளின்மேல் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோங்கள்.
6 That this may bee a signe among you, that whe your children shall aske their fathers in time to come, saying, What meane you by these stones?
௬நாளை இந்தக் கற்கள் என்னவென்று உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் உங்களைக் கேட்கும்போது,
7 Then ye may answere them, That the waters of Iorden were cut off before the Arke of the couenant of the Lord: for when it passed through Iorden, the waters of Iorden were cut off: therefore these stones are a memoriall vnto the children of Israel for euer.
௭நீங்கள்: யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர் பிரிந்துபோனதினால் அவைகள் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; யோர்தான் நதியைக் கடந்துபோகிறபோது, யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர் பிரிந்துபோனது; ஆகையால் இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைவூட்டும் அடையாளம் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றான்.
8 Then ye children of Israel did euen so as Ioshua had commanded, and tooke vp twelue stones out of the mids of Iorden as ye Lord had said vnto Ioshua, according to the nomber of the tribes of the children of Israel, and caried them away with them vnto the lodging, and layd them down there.
௮யோசுவா கட்டளையிட்டபடி இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் செய்து, யெகோவா யோசுவாவிடம் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களின் எண்ணிக்கைக்குச் சமமாகப் பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவில் எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தங்களோடு அக்கரைக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவர்கள் தங்கின இடத்திலே வைத்தார்கள்.
9 And Ioshua set vp twelue stones in the middes of Iorden, in the place where the feete of the Priests, which bare the Arke of the couenant stood, and there haue they continued vnto this day.
௯யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவிலும் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமந்த ஆசாரியர்களின் கால்கள் நின்ற இடத்திலே யோசுவா பன்னிரண்டு கற்களை நாட்டினான்; அவைகள் இந்த நாள்வரைக்கும் அங்கே இருக்கிறது.
10 So the Priests, which bare ye Arke, stoode in the middes of Iorden, vntill euery thing was finished that ye Lord had comanded Ioshua to say vnto the people, according to all that Moses charged Ioshua: then the people hasted and went ouer.
௧0மோசே யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருந்த எல்லாவற்றின்படியும் மக்களுக்குச் சொல்லும்படி, யெகோவா யோசுவாவுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்து முடிக்கும்வரைக்கும், பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற ஆசாரியர்கள் யோர்தானின் நடுவே நின்றார்கள்; மக்கள் வேகமாகக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்.
11 When all the people were cleane passed ouer, the Arke of the Lord went ouer also, and the Priests before the people.
௧௧மக்களெல்லோரும் கடந்துபோனபின்பு, யெகோவாவுடைய பெட்டியும் கடந்துபோனது; ஆசாரியர்கள் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் போனார்கள்.
12 And the sonnes of Reuben, and the sonnes of Gad, and halfe the tribe of Manasseh went ouer before the children of Israel armed, as Moses had charged them.
௧௨ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தார்களும் காத் கோத்திரத்தார்களும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தார்களும் மோசே தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே அணியணியாக இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்.
13 Euen fourty thousand prepared for warre, went before the Lord vnto battel, into ye plaine of Iericho.
௧௩ஏறக்குறைய 40,000 பேர் யுத்தத்திற்காக பயிற்சிபெற்றவர்களாக யுத்தம்செய்ய, யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக எரிகோவின் சமவெளிகளுக்குக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்.
14 That day the Lord magnified Ioshua in the sight of all Israel, and they feared him, as they feared Moses all dayes of his life.
௧௪அந்த நாளிலே யெகோவா யோசுவாவை எல்லா இஸ்ரவேலர்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் மேன்மைப்படுத்தினார்; அவர்கள் மோசேக்குப் பயந்திருந்ததுபோல, யோசுவாவிற்கும், அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாட்களெல்லாம் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.
15 And the Lord spake vnto Ioshua, saying,
௧௫யெகோவா யோசுவாவை நோக்கி:
16 Commande the Priests that beare ye Arke of the testimonie, to come vp out of Iorden.
௧௬சாட்சியின் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற ஆசாரியர்கள் யோர்தான் நதியிலிருந்து கரையேறும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடு என்று சொன்னார்.
17 Ioshua therefore commanded the Priests, saying, Come ye vp out of Iorden.
௧௭யோசுவா: யோர்தான் நதியிலிருந்து கரையேறி வாருங்கள் என்று ஆசாரியர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.
18 And when the Priests that bare the Arke of the couenant of ye Lord were come vp out of the middes of Iorden, and assoone as the soles of the Priests feete were set on the dry land, the waters of Iorde returned vnto their place, and flowed ouer all the bankes thereof, as they did before.
௧௮அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற ஆசாரியர்கள் யோர்தான் நதியின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஏறி, அவர்கள் உள்ளங்கால்கள் கரையில் ஊன்றினபோது, யோர்தானின் தண்ணீர்கள் தங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி, முன்புபோல அதின் கரையெங்கும் புரண்டோடியது.
19 So the people came vp out of Iorden the tenth day of the first moneth, and pitched in Gilgal, in the Eastside of Iericho.
௧௯இந்தவிதமாக முதலாம் மாதம் பத்தாம் தேதியிலே மக்கள் யோர்தானிலிருந்து கரையேறி, எரிகோவுக்குக் கிழக்கு எல்லையான கில்காலிலே முகாமிட்டார்கள்.
20 Also the twelue stones, which they tooke out of Iorden, did Ioshua pitch in Gilgal.
௨0அவர்கள் யோர்தானிலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்த அந்தப் பன்னிரண்டு கற்களையும் யோசுவா கில்காலிலே நாட்டி,
21 And he spake vnto ye childre of Israel, saying, When your children shall aske their fathers in time to come, and say, What meane these stones?
௨௧இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை நோக்கி: நாளை உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகள் இந்தக் கற்கள் என்னவென்று தங்களுடைய தகப்பன்மார்களைக் கேட்கும்போது,
22 Then ye shall shew your children, and say, Israel came ouer this Iorden on dry land:
௨௨நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் வெட்டாந்தரை வழியாக இந்த யோர்தானைக் கடந்துவந்தார்கள்.
23 For the Lord your God dryed vp ye waters of Iorden before you, vntill ye were gone ouer, as the Lord your God did the red Sea, which hee dryed vp before vs, till we were gone ouer,
௨௩பூமியின் எல்லா மக்களும் யெகோவாவுடைய கரம் பலத்ததென்று அறியும்படிக்கும், நீங்கள் எல்லா நாட்களும் உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படும்படிக்கும்,
24 That all the people of the worlde may know that the hand of the Lord is mightie, that ye might feare the Lord your God continually.
௨௪உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தின் தண்ணீரை நாங்கள் கடந்துபோகும்வரைக்கும் எங்களுக்கு முன்பாக வற்றிப்போகச்செய்ததுபோல, உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா யோர்தானின் தண்ணீருக்கும் செய்து, அதை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக நீங்கள் கடந்துபோகும்வரைக்கும் வற்றிப்போகச்செய்தார் என்று அறிவிக்கக்கடவீர்கள் என்றான்.
