Joshua 21
1 Then came the principall fathers of the Leuites vnto Eleazar the Priest, and vnto Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and vnto the chiefe fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel,
I capifamiglia dei leviti si presentarono al sacerdote Eleazaro, a Giosuè figlio di Nun e ai capifamiglia delle tribù degli Israeliti
2 And spake vnto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hande of Moses, to giue vs cities to dwell in, with the suburbes thereof for our cattell.
e dissero loro a Silo, nel paese di Canaan: «Il Signore ha comandato, per mezzo di Mosè, che ci fossero date città da abitare con i loro pascoli per il nostro bestiame».
3 So the children of Israel gaue vnto the Leuites, out of their inheritance at the commandement of the Lord these cities with their suburbes.
Gli Israeliti diedero ai leviti, sorteggiandole dal loro possesso, le seguenti città con i loro pascoli, secondo il comando del Signore.
4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron ye Priest, which were of the Leuites, had by lot, out of the tribe of Iudah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Beniamin thirteene cities.
Si tirò a sorte per le famiglie dei Keatiti; fra i leviti, i figli del sacerdote Aronne ebbero in sorte tredici città della tribù di Giuda, della tribù di Simeone e della tribù di Beniamino.
5 And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, tenne cities.
Al resto dei Keatiti toccarono in sorte dieci città delle famiglie della tribù di Efraim, della tribù di Dan e di metà della tribù di Manàsse.
6 Also the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of ye tribe of Naphtali, and out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteene cities.
Ai figli di Gherson toccarono in sorte tredici città delle famiglie della tribù d'Issacar, della tribù di Aser, della tribù di Nèftali e di metà della tribù di Manàsse in Basan.
7 The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelue cities.
Ai figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono dodici città della tribù di Ruben, della tribù di Gad e della tribù di Zàbulon.
8 So the children of Israel gaue by lot vnto the Leuites these cities with their suburbes, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses.
Gli Israeliti diedero dunque a sorte queste città con i loro pascoli ai leviti, come il Signore aveva comandato per mezzo di Mosè.
9 And they gaue out of the tribe of the children of Iudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeo, these cities which are here named.
Diedero, cioè, della tribù dei figli di Giuda e della tribù dei figli di Simeone le città qui nominate.
10 And they were the childrens of Aaron being of the families of the Kohathites, and of the sonnes of Leui, (for theirs was the first lot)
Esse toccarono ai figli d'Aronne tra le famiglie dei Keatiti, figli di Levi, perché il primo sorteggio fu per loro.
11 So they gaue them Kiriath-arba of the father of Anok (which is Hebron) in the mountaine of Iudah, with the suburbes of the same round about it.
Furono dunque date loro Kiriat-Arba, padre di Anak, cioè Ebron, sulle montagne di Giuda, con i suoi pascoli tutt'intorno;
12 (But the lande of the citie, and the villages thereof, gaue they to Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh to be his possession)
ma diedero i campi di questa città e i suoi villaggi come possesso a Caleb, figlio di Iefunne.
13 Thus they gaue to the children of Aaron the Priest, a citie of refuge for the slaier, euen Hebron with her suburbes, and Libnah with her suburbes,
Diedero ai figli del sacerdote Aronne Ebron, città di rifugio per l'omicida, con i suoi pascoli; poi Libna e i suoi pascoli,
14 And Iattir with her suburbes, and Eshtemoa, and her suburbes,
Iattir e i suoi pascoli, Estemoa e i suoi pascoli,
15 And Holon with her suburbes, and Debir with her suburbes,
Debir e i suoi pascoli, Colon e i suoi pascoli,
16 And Ain with her suburbes, and Iuttah with her suburbes, Beth-shemesh with her suburbes: nine cities out of those two tribes.
Ain e i suoi pascoli, Iutta e i suoi pascoli, Bet-Semes e i suoi pascoli: nove città di queste tribù.
17 And out of the tribe of Beniamin they gaue Gibeon with her suburbes, Geba with her suburbes,
Della tribù di Beniamino, Gàbaon e i suoi pascoli, Ghega e i suoi pascoli,
18 Anathoth with her suburbes, and Almon with her suburbes: foure cities.
Anatot e i suoi pascoli, Almon e i suoi pascoli: quattro città.
19 All the cities of the children of Aaron Priests, were thirteene cities with their suburbes.
Totale delle città dei sacerdoti figli d'Aronne: tredici città e i loro pascoli.
20 But to the families of the children of Kohath of the Leuites, which were the rest of the children of Kohath (for the cities of their lot were out of the tribe of Ephraim)
Alle famiglie dei Keatiti, cioè al resto dei leviti, figli di Keat, toccarono città della tribù di Efraim.
21 They gaue them the citie of refuge for the slaier, Shechem with her suburbes in mount Ephraim, and Gezer with her suburbes,
Fu loro data, come città di rifugio per l'omicida, Sichem e i suoi pascoli sulle montagne di Efraim; poi Ghezer e i suoi pascoli,
22 And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbes: foure cities.
Chibsaim e i suoi pascoli, Bet-Coron e i suoi pascoli: quattro città.
23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbes, Gibethon with her suburbes,
Della tribù di Dan: Elteke e i suoi pascoli, Ghibbeton e i suoi pascoli,
24 Aiialon with her suburbes, Gath-rimmon with her suburbes: foure cities.
Aialon e i suoi pascoli, Gat-Rimmon e i suoi pascoli: quattro città.
25 And out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbes, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbes: two cities.
Di metà della tribù di Manàsse: Taanach e i suoi pascoli, Ibleam e i suoi pascoli: due città.
26 All the cities for the other families of the children of Kohath were ten with their suburbes.
Totale: dieci città con i loro pascoli, che toccarono alle famiglie degli altri figli di Keat.
27 Also vnto the children of Gershon of the families of the Leuites, they gaue out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, the citie of refuge for the slaier, Golan in Bashan with her suburbes, and Beeshterah with her suburbes: two cities.
Ai figli di Gherson, che erano tra le famiglie dei leviti, furono date: di metà della tribù di Manàsse, come città di rifugio per l'omicida, Golan in Basan e i suoi pascoli, Astarot con i suoi pascoli: due città;
28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbes, Dabereh with her suburbes,
della tribù d'Issacar, Kision e i suoi pascoli, Daberat e i suoi pascoli,
29 Iarmuth with her suburbes, En-gannim with her suburbes: foure cities.
Iarmut e i suoi pascoli, En-Gannim e i suoi pascoli: quattro città;
30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbes, Abdon with her suburbes,
della tribù di Aser, Miseal e i suoi pascoli, Abdon e i suoi pascoli;
31 Helkah with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbes: foure cities.
Elkat e i suoi pascoli, Recob e i suoi pascoli: quattro città;
32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the citie of refuge for the slaier, Kedesh in Galil with her suburbes, and Hammoth-dor with her suburbes, and Kartan with her suburbes: three cities.
della tribù di Nèftali, come città di rifugio per l'omicida, Kades in Galilea e i suoi pascoli, Ammot-Dor e i suoi pascoli, Kartan con i suoi pascoli: tre città.
33 Al the cities of the Gershonites according to their families, were thirteene cities with their suburbes.
Totale delle città dei Ghersoniti, secondo le loro famiglie: tredici città e i loro pascoli.
34 Also vnto the families of the children of Merari the rest of the Leuites, they gaue out of the tribe of Zebulun, Iokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbes,
Alle famiglie dei figli di Merari, cioè al resto dei leviti, furono date: della tribù di Zàbulon, Iokneam e i suoi pascoli, Karta e i suoi pascoli,
35 Dimnah with her suburbes, Nahalal, with her suburbes: foure cities.
Dimna e i suoi pascoli, Naalal e i suoi pascoli: quattro città;
36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Iahazah with her suburbs,
della tribù di Ruben, come città di rifugio per l'omicida, Bezer e i suoi pascoli, Iaas e i suoi pascoli,
37 Kedemoth with her suburbes, and Mephaath with her suburbes: foure cities.
Kedemot e i suoi pascoli, Mefaat e i suoi pascoli: quattro città;
38 And out of the tribe of Gad they gaue for a citie of refuge for the slaier, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbes, and Mahanaim with her suburbes,
della tribù di Gad, come città di rifugio per l'omicida, Ramot in Gàlaad e i suoi pascoli, Macanaim e i suoi pascoli,
39 Heshbon with her suburbs, and Iazer with her suburbes: foure cities in all.
Chesbon e i suoi pascoli, Iazer e i suoi pascoli: in tutto quattro città.
40 So all the cities of the children of Merari according to their families (which were the rest of the families of the Leuites) were by their lot, twelue cities.
Totale delle città date in sorte ai figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, cioè il resto delle famiglie dei leviti: dodici città.
41 And all the cities of the Leuites within the possession of the children of Israel, were eight and fourtie with their suburbes.
Totale delle città dei leviti in mezzo ai possessi degli Israeliti: quarantotto città e i loro pascoli.
42 These cities lay euery one seuerallie with their suburbes round about them: so were all these cities.
Ciascuna di queste città aveva intorno il pascolo; così era di tutte queste città.
43 So the Lord gaue vnto Israel all ye land, which hee had sworne to giue vnto their fathers: and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
Il Signore diede dunque a Israele tutto il paese che aveva giurato ai padri di dar loro e gli Israeliti ne presero possesso e vi si stabilirono.
44 Also the Lord gaue them rest rounde about according to all that hee had sworne vnto their fathers: and there stoode not a man of all their enemies before them: for the Lord deliuered all their enemies into their hand.
Il Signore diede loro tranquillità intorno, come aveva giurato ai loro padri; nessuno di tutti i loro nemici potè resistere loro; il Signore mise in loro potere tutti quei nemici.
45 There failed nothing of all the good things, which the Lord hath sayde vnto the house of Israel, but all came to passe.
Di tutte le belle promesse che il Signore aveva fatte alla casa d'Israele, non una andò a vuoto: tutto giunse a compimento.
