< Joshua 20 >
1 The Lord also spake vnto Ioshua, saying,
Ary Jehovah niteny tamin’ i Josoa ka nanao hoe:
2 Speake to the children of Israel, and say, Appoint you cities of refuge, whereof I spake vnto you by the hand of Moses,
Lazao amin’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely hoe: Fidio ny tanàna fandosirana izay nasaiko nolazain’ i Mosesy taminareo,
3 That the slaier that killeth any person by ignorance, and vnwittingly, may flee thither, and they shall be your refuge from the auenger of blood.
handosiran’ izay nahafaty olona tsy nahy; dia ho fandosirana ho anareo izany mba tsy ho azon’ ny mpamaly rà
4 And he that doeth flee vnto one of those cities, shall stand at the entring of the gate of the citie, and shall shewe his cause to the Elders of the citie: and they shall receiue him into the citie vnto them, and giue him a place, that hee may dwell with them.
Ary raha misy mandositra ho ao amin’ ny anankiray amin’ ireo tanàna ireo ka mijanona eo anoloan’ ny vavahady ary mandahatra ny teniny eo anatrehan’ ny loholona amin’ izany tanàna izany, dia hampidiriny ho ao an-tanàna izy ka homeny toerana, mba hitoetra ao aminy.
5 And if the auenger of blood pursue after him, they shall not deliuer the slaier into his hand because hee smote his neighbour ignorantly, neither hated he him before time:
Ary raha manenjika azy ny mpamaly rà, dia tsy hanolotra ilay nahafaty olona ho eo an-tànany izy, satria nahafaty tsy nahy ny namany, fa tsy dia nankahala azy teo aloha.
6 But hee shall dwell in that citie vntill hee stande before the Congregation in iudgement, or vntill the death of the hie Priest that shall be in those daies: then shall the slaier returne, and come vnto his owne citie, and vnto his owne house, euen vnto the citie from whence he fled.
Dia hitoetra ao amin’ izany tanàna izany izy mandra-pisehony eo anatrehan’ ny fiangonana hotsaraina, sy mandra-pahafatin’ izay mpisoronabe amin’ izany andro izany; dia hiverina ilay nahafaty olona ka hody any an-tanànany sy any an-tranony, dia any amin’ ny tanàna izay nialany fony izy nandositra.
7 Then they appointed Kedesh in Galil in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) in the mountaine of Iudah.
Dia nanokana an’ i Kadesy any Galilia any amin’ ny tany havoan’ i Naftaly izy sy Sekema any amin’ ny tany havoan’ i Efraima ary Kiriat-arba (Hebrona izany) any amin’ ny tany havoan’ i Joda.
8 And on the other side Iorden toward Iericho Eastward, they appoynted Bezer in the wildernesse vpon the plaine, out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead, out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan, out of the tribe of Manasseh.
Ary dia nifidy an’ i Bezera any an-efitra amin’ ny tany lemaka izay an’ ny firenen’ i Robena izy, ary Ramota izay any Gileada, an’ ny firenen’ i Gada, ary Golana any Basana, izay an’ ny firenen’ i Manase, any an-dafy atsinanan’ i Jordana, tandrifin’ i Jeriko.
9 These were the cities appoynted for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that soiourned among them, that whosoeuer killed any person ignorantly, might flee thither, and not die by the hande of the auenger of blood, vntill hee stoode before the Congregation.
Ireo no tanàna voafidy ho an’ ny Zanak’ Isiraely rehetra sy ny vahiny eo aminy handosiran’ izay rehetra nahafaty olona tsy nahy, mba tsy ho fatin’ ny tanan’ ny mpamaly rà izy mandra-pisehony eo anatrehan’ ny fiangonana.
