Joshua 20
1 The Lord also spake vnto Ioshua, saying,
Тогава Господ говори на Исуса, казвайки:
2 Speake to the children of Israel, and say, Appoint you cities of refuge, whereof I spake vnto you by the hand of Moses,
Говори на израилтяните, като им речеш: Определете си прибежищните градове, за които съм ви рекъл чрез Моисея,
3 That the slaier that killeth any person by ignorance, and vnwittingly, may flee thither, and they shall be your refuge from the auenger of blood.
за да прибягва там оня убиец, който убие човек без намерение, по незнание; и те да ви бъдат прибежище от мъздовъздателя за кръвта.
4 And he that doeth flee vnto one of those cities, shall stand at the entring of the gate of the citie, and shall shewe his cause to the Elders of the citie: and they shall receiue him into the citie vnto them, and giue him a place, that hee may dwell with them.
И когато оня, които побегне в един от тия градове, застане във входа на градската порта и каже работата си на всеослушание пред старейшините от оня град, те нека го приемат в града при себе си, и нека му дадат място, и той да живее между тях.
5 And if the auenger of blood pursue after him, they shall not deliuer the slaier into his hand because hee smote his neighbour ignorantly, neither hated he him before time:
И ако мъздовъздателят за кръвта го подгони, та да не предават убиеца в ръката му; защото по незнание е убил ближния си, без да го е мразил от по-напред.
6 But hee shall dwell in that citie vntill hee stande before the Congregation in iudgement, or vntill the death of the hie Priest that shall be in those daies: then shall the slaier returne, and come vnto his owne citie, and vnto his owne house, euen vnto the citie from whence he fled.
И да живее в оня град догде се представи на съд пред обществото, и до смъртта на онзи който е първосвещеник в онова време; тогава убиецът да се върне и да отиде в града си, и в дома си, в града, от който е побягнал.
7 Then they appointed Kedesh in Galil in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) in the mountaine of Iudah.
И тъй, отделиха Кадес в Галилея, в хълмистата земя на Нефталима, Сихем в хълмистата земя на Ефрема, Кириат-арва (която е Хеврон) в хълмистата земя на Юда.
8 And on the other side Iorden toward Iericho Eastward, they appoynted Bezer in the wildernesse vpon the plaine, out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead, out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan, out of the tribe of Manasseh.
А оттатък Иордан срещу Ерихон, на изток, определиха Восор в полската пустиня на Рувимовото племе, Рамот в Галаад от Гадовото племе, и Голан във Васан от Манасиевото племе.
9 These were the cities appoynted for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that soiourned among them, that whosoeuer killed any person ignorantly, might flee thither, and not die by the hande of the auenger of blood, vntill hee stoode before the Congregation.
Тия бяха градовете определени за всичките израилтяни, и за чужденците, които живеят между тях, тъй щото всеки, който би убил някого без намерение, за бяга там, та да не бъде убит от мъздовъздателя за кръвта, догдето се представи пред обществото.
