Joshua 19

1 And the second lot came out to Simeon, euen for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was in the middes of the inheritance of the children of Iudah.

Le deuxième sort échut à Siméon, pour la Tribu des enfants de Siméon selon leurs familles, et leur héritage fut parmi l'héritage des enfants de Juda.

2 Nowe they had in their inheritance, Beersheba, and Sheba, and Moladah,

Et ils eurent dans leur héritage Béer-sebah, Sebah, Molada,

3 And Hazur-shual, and Balah, and Azem,

Hatsar-suhal, Bala, Hetsem,

4 And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,

Eltolad, Bethul, Horma,

5 And Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah,

Tsiklag, Beth-marcaboth, Hatsar-susa,

6 And Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen: thirteene cities with their villages.

Beth-lebaoth et Saruhen; treize villes et leurs villages.

7 Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan: foure cities with their villages.

Hajin, Rimmon, Hether, et Hasan; quatre villes et leurs villages.

8 And all the villages that were round about these cities, vnto Baalathbeer, and Ramath Southward: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

Et tous les villages qui étaient autour de ces villes-là jusqu'à Balath-béer, qui est Rama du Midi. Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Siméon, selon leurs familles.

9 Out of the portion of the children of Iudah came ye inheritance of the childre of Simeon: for the part of ye children of Iudah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within their inheritance.

L'héritage des enfants de Siméon fut pris du lot des enfants de Juda; car la part des enfants de Juda était trop grande pour eux; c'est pourquoi les enfants de Siméon eurent leur héritage parmi le leur.

10 Also the third lot arose for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the coastes of their inheritance came to Sarid,

Le troisième sort monta pour les enfants de Zabulon, selon leurs familles; et la frontière de leur héritage fut jusqu'à Sarid.

11 And their border goeth vp Westwarde, euen to Maralah, and reacheth to Dabbasheth, and meeteth with the riuer that lyeth before Iokneam,

Et leur frontière devait monter vers le quartier devers la mer, même jusqu'à Marhala, puis se rencontrer à Dabbeseth, et de là au torrent qui est vis-à-vis de Jokneham.

12 And turneth from Sarid Eastward towarde the sunne rising vnto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and goeth out to Daberath, and ascendeth to Iaphia,

Or [cette frontière] devait retourner de Sarid vers l'Orient, au soleil levant vers les confins de Kislothtabor, puis sortir vers Dabrath, et monter à Japhiah;

13 And from thence goeth along Eastwarde towarde the sunne rising to Gittah-hepher to Ittah-kazin, and goeth foorth to Rimmon, and turneth to Neah.

Puis de là passer vers l'Orient, au Levant, à Guitta-hépher qui est Hittakatsin, puis sortir, à Rimmon-Methoar, qui est Neha.

14 And this border compasseth it on ye North side to Hannathon, and the endes thereof are in the valley of Iiphtah-el,

Puis cette frontière devait tourner du côté du Septentrion à Hannathon; et ses extrémités devaient se rendre en la vallée de Jiphtahel.

15 And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Beth-lehem: twelue cities with their villages.

Avec Kattath, Nahalal, Simron, Jidéala, et Beth-lehem; il y avait douze villes, et leurs villages.

16 This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families: that is, these cities and their villages.

Tel fut l'héritage des enfants de Zabulon selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.

17 The fourth lot came out to Issachar, euen for the children of Issachar according to their families.

Le quatrième sort échut à Issacar, pour les enfants d'Issacar, selon leurs familles.

18 And their coast was Izreelah, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

Et leur contrée fut ce qui est vers Jizrehel, Kesulloth, Sunem,

19 And Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,

Hapharjim, Sion, Anaharath,

20 And Harabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,

Rabbith, Kisjon, Ebets,

21 And Remeth, and En-gannim, and Enhaddah, and Beth-pazzez.

Remeth, Hen-gannim, Hen-hadda et Beth-patsets.

22 And this coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimath, and Beth-shemesh, and the endes of their coast reach to Iorden: sixteene cities with their villages.

Et la frontière se devait rencontrer à Tabor et vers Sabatsim, et à Beth-semes; tellement que les extrémités de leur frontière se devaient rendre au Jourdain; seize villes, et leurs villages.

23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families: that is, the cities, and their villages.

Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants d'Issacar, selon leurs familles, ces villes-là, et leurs villages.

24 Also the fift lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

Le cinquième sort échut à la Tribu des enfants d'Aser, selon leurs familles.

25 And their coast was Helcath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,

Et leur frontière fut Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acsaph,

26 And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal, and came to Carmel Westward, and to Shihor Libnath,

Alammélec, Hamhad et Miséal; et elle se devait rencontrer à Carmel, [au quartier] vers la mer, et à Sihor vers Benath.

27 And turneth towarde the sunne rising to Beth-dagon, and commeth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iiphtah-el, toward the Northside of Beth-emek, and Neiel, and goeth out on the left side of Cabul,

Puis elle devait retourner vers le soleil levant, à Beth-dagon, et se rencontrer en Zabulon, et à la vallée de Jiphtahel vers le Septentrion, [et à] Beth-hemek et Nehiel; puis sortir à main gauche vers Cabul.

28 And to Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, vnto great Zidon.

Et Hébron, et Rehob, et Hammon, et Cana, jusqu'à Sidon la grande.

29 Then the coast turneth to Ramah and to the strong citie of Zor, and this border turneth to Hosah, and the ends thereof are at the Sea from Hebel to Achzib,

Puis la frontière devait retourner à Rama, même jusqu'à Tsor, ville forte; puis cette frontière devait retourner à Hosa; tellement que ses extrémités, se devaient rendre au quartier qui est vers la mer, depuis la portion tirant vers Aczib;

30 Vmmah also and Aphek, and Rehob: two and twentie cities with their villages.

Avec Hummah, et Aphek, et Rehob; vingt-deux villes, et leurs villages.

31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families: that is, these cities and their villages.

Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants d'Aser, selon leurs familles; ces villes-là et leurs villages.

32 The sixt lot came out to the children of Naphtali, euen to the children of Naphtali according to their families.

Le sixième sort échut aux enfants de Nephthali, pour les enfants de Nephthali, selon leurs familles.

33 And their coast was from Heleph, and from Allon in Zaanannim, and Adaminekeb, and Iabneel, euen to Lakum, and the ends thereof are at Iorden.

Et leur frontière fut depuis Heleph, [et] depuis Allon à Tsahannim, et Adami-nekeb, et Jabnéel jusqu'à Lakkum, tellement que ses extrémités se devaient rendre au Jourdain.

34 So this coast turneth Westwarde to Aznoth-tabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the Southside, and goeth to Asher on the Westside, and to Iudah by Iorden toward the sunne rising.

Puis cette frontière devait retourner du côté d'Occident, vers Aznoth-Tabor, et sortir de là à Hukkok; tellement que du côté du Midi elle devait se rencontrer en Zabulon, et du côté d'Occident elle devait se rencontrer en Aser. Or jusqu'en Juda le Jourdain [était au] soleil levant.

35 And the strong cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Cinneereth,

Au reste, les villes closes étaient Tsiddim, Tser, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,

36 And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor,

Adama, Rama, Hatsor,

37 And Kedesh, and Edrei, and En-hazor,

Kédès, Edréhi, Hen-Hatsor,

38 And Iron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-anah, and Beth-shemesh: nineteene cities with their villages.

Jireon, Migdal-el, Harem, Beth-hanath et Beth-semes; dix-neuf villes et leurs villages.

39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families: that is, the cities and their villages.

Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Nephthali, selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.

40 The seuenth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

Le septième sort échut à la Tribu des enfants de Dan selon leurs familles.

41 And the coast of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Ir-shemesh,

Et la contrée de leur héritage fut, Tsorah, Estaol, Hir-semes,

42 And Shaalabbin, and Aiialon, and Ithlah,

Sahalabim, Ajalon, Jithla,

43 And Elon, and Temnathah, and Ekron,

Elon, Timnatha, Hekron,

44 And Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalah,

Elteké, Guibbethon, Bahalath,

45 And Iehud, and Bene-berak, and Gath-rimmon,

Jehud, Bené-berak, Gath-rimmon,

46 And Me-iarkon, and Rakkon, with the border that lieth before Iapho.

Me-jarkon, et Rakkon, avec les limites qui sont vis-à-vis de Japho.

47 But the coastes of the children of Dan fell out too litle for them: therefore the children of Dan went vp to fight against Leshem, and tooke it, and smote it with the edge of the sworde, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan after the name of Dan their father.

Or la contrée qui était échue aux enfants de Dan, était [trop petite] pour eux; c'est pourquoi les enfants de Dan montèrent, et combattirent contre Lesem, et la prirent, et la frappèrent au tranchant de l'épée, et la possédèrent, et y habitèrent; et ils appelèrent Lesem, Dan, du nom de Dan leur père.

48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the childre of Dan according to their families: that is, these cities and their villages.

Tel fut l'héritage de la Tribu des enfants de Dan selon leurs familles; ces villes-là, et leurs villages.

49 When they had made an ende of deuiding the lande by the coastes thereof, then the children of Israel gaue an inheritance vnto Ioshua the sonne of Nun among them.

Au reste après qu'on eut achevé de partager le pays selon ses confins, les enfants d'Israël donnèrent un héritage parmi eux à Josué fils de Nun.

50 According to the worde of the Lord they gaue him the citie which hee asked, euen Timnath-serah in mount Ephraim: and hee built the citie and dwelt therein.

Selon le commandement de l'Eternel; ils lui donnèrent la ville qu'il demanda; [savoir] Timnath-sérah en la montagne d'Ephraïm; et il bâtit la ville, et y habita.

51 These are ye heritages which Eleazar the Priest, and Ioshua the sonne of Nun, and the chiefe fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel deuided by lot in Shiloh before the Lord at the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation: so they made an ende of deuiding the countrey.

Ce sont là les héritages qu'Eléazar le Sacrificateur, et Josué, fils de Nun, et les chefs des pères des Tribus des enfants d'Israël partagèrent par sort en Silo, devant l'Eternel, à l'entrée du Tabernacle d'assignation, et ils achevèrent [ainsi] de partager le pays.
