Joshua 16
1 And the lot fell to the children of Ioseph from Iorden by Iericho vnto the water of Iericho Eastward, and to the wildernes that goeth vp from Iericho by the mount Beth-el:
Saiu depois a sorte dos filhos de José, desde o Jordão de Jericó ás aguas de Jericó, para o oriente, subindo ao deserto de Jericó pelas montanhas de Beth-el;
2 And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and runneth along vnto the borders of Archiataroth,
E de Beth-el sae a Luza, e passa ao termo dos archeos, até Ataroth;
3 And goeth down Westward to the coast of Iaphleti, vnto the coast of Beth-horon the nether, and to Gezer: and the endes thereof are at the Sea.
E desce da banda do occidente ao termo de Japhleti, até ao termo de Beth-horon de baixo, e até Gazer, sendo as suas saidas para o mar.
4 So the children of Ioseph, Manasseh and Ephraim tooke their inheritance.
Assim alcançaram a sua herança os filhos de José, Manasseh e Ephraim.
5 Also the borders of the children of Ephraim according to their families, euen the borders of their inheritance on the Eastside were Atroth-addar, vnto Beth-horon the vpper.
E foi o termo dos filhos de Ephraim, segundo as suas familias, a saber: o termo da sua herança para o oriente era Atharoth-addar até Beth-horon de cima:
6 And this border goeth out to the Sea vnto Michmethah on the Northside, and this border returneth Eastward vnto Taanathshiloh, and passeth it on the Eastside vnto Ianohah,
E sae este termo para o occidente junto a Mikametath, desde o norte, e torna este termo para o oriente a Thaanat-silo, e passa por ella desde o oriente a Janoha;
7 And goeth downe from Ianohah to Ataroth, and Naarath, and commeth to Iericho, and goeth out at Iorden.
E desce desde Janoha a Atharoth e a Naharath, e toca em Jericó, e vae sair ao Jordão.
8 And this border goeth from Tappuah Westward vnto the riuer Kanah, and the endes thereof are at the Sea: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.
De Tappuah vae este termo para o occidente ao ribeiro de Cana, e as suas saidas no mar: esta é a herança da tribu dos filhos de Ephraim, segundo as suas familias.
9 And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh: all the cities with their villages.
E as cidades que se separaram para os filhos de Ephraim estavam no meio da herança dos filhos de Manasseh: todas aquellas cidades e as suas aldeias.
10 And they cast not out the Canaanite that dwelt in Gezer, but the Canaanite dwelt among the Ephraimites vnto this day, and serued vnder tribute.
E não expelliram aos cananeos que habitavam em Gazer: e os cananeos habitaram no meio dos ephraimitas até ao dia de hoje; porém serviam-n'os, sendo-lhes tributarios.
