Joshua 15
1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.
Die einzelnen Geschlechter des Stammes der Judäer aber erhielten ihren Anteil nach der Grenze Edoms hin, südwärts nach der Steppe Zin hin, im äußersten Süden.
2 And their South border was the salt Sea coast, from the point that looketh Southward.
Und zwar läuft ihre Südgrenze vom Ende des Salzmeers - von der nach Süden gewendeten Spitze - aus
3 And it went out on the Southside towarde Maaleth-akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended vp on the Southside vnto Kadesh-barnea, and went along to Hezron, and went vp to Adar, and fet a compasse to Karkaa.
und setzt sich fort bis südlich von der Skorpionenstiege hinüber nach Zin und zieht sich südlich von Kades Barnea aufwärts hinüber nach Hezron; sodann zieht sie sich aufwärts nach Adar und wendet sich herum nach Karka.
4 From thence went it along to Azmon, and reached vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the end of that coast was on the Westside: this shall be your South coast.
Sodann zieht sie sich hinüber nach Azmon und setzt sich fort bis zum Bach Ägyptens, bis die grenze am Meere endigt; das soll eure Südgrenze sein.
5 Also the Eastborder shalbe the salt Sea, vnto the end of Iorden: and the border on the North quarter from the point of the Sea, and from the end of Iorden.
Die Ostgrenze aber bildet das Salzmeer bis zur Mündung des Jordan. Und die Grenze nach Norden zu läuft aus von der Spitze des Meers, von der Mündung des Jordan.
6 And this border goeth vp to Beth-hogla, and goeth along by ye Northside of Beth-arabah: so the border from thence goeth vp to the stone of Bohan the sonne of Reuben.
Sodann zieht sich die Grenze aufwärts nach Beth Hogla und hinüber bis nördlich von Beth Araba. Weiter zieht sich die Grenze aufwärts zum Steine Bohans, des Sohnes Rubens.
7 Againe this border goeth vp to Debir from the valley of Achor, and Northwarde, turning toward Gilgal, that lyeth before the going vp to Adummim, which is on the Southside of the riuer: also this border goeth vp to the waters of En-shemesh, and endeth at En-rogel.
Sodann zieht sich die Grenze aufwärts nach Debir vom Thak Achor her und wendet sich nordwärts nach dem Gilgal, welches der Stiege von Adummim gegenüberliegt, die sich südwärts vom Bache befindet. Sodann zieht sich die Grenze hinüber nach dem Wasser von En Semes und läuft weiter bis zur Quelle Rogel.
8 Then this border goeth vp to the valley of the sonne of Hinnom; on the Southside of the Iebusites: the same is Ierusalem. also this border goeth vp to the top of the mountaine that lyeth before the valley of Hinnom Westward, which is by the end of the valley of ye gyants Northward.
Sodann zieht sich die Grenze aufwärts ins Thal Ben Hinnom südlich vom Bergrücken der Jebusiter, das ist Jerusalem. Sodann zieht sich die Grenze aufwärts auf den Gipfel des Bergs, der westlich vor dem Thale hinnom und am nördlichen Ende der Ebene Rephaim liegt.
9 So this border compasseth from the top of the mountaine vnto the fountaine of the water of Nephtoah, and goeth out to the cities of mount Ephron: and this border draweth to Baalah, which is Kiriath-iearim.
Vom Gipfel des Bergs aber biegt die Grenze um zur Quelle des Wassers von Nephtoah und läuft weiter zu den Städten des Bergs Ephron; sodann biegt die Grenz um nach Baala, das ist Kirjath Jearim.
10 Then this border compasseth from Baalah Westward vnto mount Seir, and goeth along vnto the side of mount Iearim, which is Chesalon on the Northside: so it commeth downe to Bethshemesh, and goeth to Timnah.
Von Baala aber wendet sich die Grenze westwärts zum Berge Seir, zieht sich hinüber bis nördlich vom Bergrücken von Har Jearim, das ist Kesalon, zieht sich hinab nach Beth Semes und hinüber nach Thimna.
11 Also this border goeth out vnto the side of Ekron Northwarde: and this border draweth to Shicron, and goeth along to mount Baalah, and stretcheth vnto Iabneel: and the endes of this coast are to the Sea.
Sodann läuft die Grenze nordwärts weiter bis zum Bergrücken von Ekron und die grenze biegt um nach Sichron, zieht sich hinüber nach dem Berge Baala, läuft weiter bis Jabneel, und so endet die Grenze am Meere.
12 And the Westborder is to the great Sea: so this border shalbe the bounds of the children of Iudah round about, according to their families.
Die westgrenze aber bildet durchweg das große Meer. Das ist die Grenze der verschiedenen Geschlechter der Judäer ringsum.
13 And vnto Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh did Ioshua giue a part among the children of Iudah, as the Lord commanded him, euen Kiriath-arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
Kaleb aber, dem Sohne Jephunnes, gab er Anteil unter den Judäern gemäß dem Befehle Jahwes an Josua, nämlich die Stadt Arbas, des Vaters Enaks, das ist Hebron.
14 And Caleb droue thence three sonnes of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak.
Und Kaleb vertrieb von dort die drei Söhne Enaks, Sesai, Ahiman und Thalmai, die Sprößlinge Enaks.
15 And he went vp thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before time was Kiriath-sepher.
Von da zog er gegen die Bewohner von Debir; Debir aber hieß früher Kirjath Sepher.
16 Then Caleb sayd, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.
Und Kaleb verhieß: Wer Kirjath Sepher bezwingt und es einnimmt, dem will ich meine Tochter Achsa zum Weibe geben!
17 And Othniel, the sonne of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb tooke it: and he gaue him Achsah his daughter to wife.
Da nahm es Othniel, der Sohn des Kenas, der Bruder Kalebs, ein, und er gab ihm seine Tochter Achsa zum Weibe.
18 And as she went in to him, she moued him, to aske of her father a fielde: and she lighted off her asse, and Caleb sayd vnto her, What wilt thou?
Als sie ihm nun zugeführt wurde, reizte sie ihn an, er möge von ihrem Vater ein Feld verlangen. Sie glitt vom Esel herab, so daß Kaleb sie fragte: Was ist dir?
19 Then she answered, Giue me a blessing: for thou hast giuen mee the South countrey: giue me also springs of water. And hee gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.
Sie erwiderte: Gieb mir doch ein Abschiedsgeschenk! Denn du hast mich nach dem Südlande vergeben; so gieb mir den Wasserbrunnen! Da gab ihr Kaleb Brunnen in der Höhe und Brunnen in der Niederung.
20 This shalbe the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Iudah according to their families.
Das ist der Erbbesitz der verschiedenen Geschlechter des Stammes der Judäer.
21 And the vtmost cities of the tribe of the children of Iudah, toward the coastes of Edom Southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Iagur,
Es waren aber die Städte am Rande des Stammes der Judäer gegen die Grenze Edoms hin im Südlande: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,
22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
Kina, Dimona, Adada,
23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,
Kedes, Hazor und Ithnam;
24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
Siph, Telem, Bealoth,
25 And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)
Hazor, Hadatta und Kerijoth Hezron, das ist Hazor;
26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,
Amam, Sema, Molada,
27 And Hazar, Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,
Hazar, Gadda, Hesmon, Beth Peleth,
28 And Hasar-shual, and Beersheba, and Biziothiah,
Hazar Sual, Beerseba und die zugehörigen Ortschaften;
29 Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,
Baala, Ijim, Ezem,
30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,
Eltholad, Kesil, Horma,
31 And Ziklag, and Madmanna, and Sansannah,
Ziklag, Madmanna, Sansanna,
32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twentie and nine with their villages.
Lebaoth, Silhim und En Rimmon, ingesamt neunundzwanzig Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
33 In the lowe countrey were Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
In der Niederung: Esthaol, Zorea, Asna,
34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,
Sanoah und En Gannim, Thappuah und Enam,
35 Iarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,
Jarmuth und Adullam, Socho, Aseka,
36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteene cities with their villages.
Saaraim, Adithaim, Gedera und Gederothaim - vierzehn Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
37 Zenam, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
Ferner Zenan, Hadasa, Migdal Gad,
38 And Dileam, and Mizpeh, and Ioktheel,
Dilean, Mizpe und Joktheel;
39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
Lachis, Bozkat, Eglon,
40 And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,
Kabbon, Lahmas, Kithlis
41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteene cities with their villages.
und Gederoth; Beth Dagon, Naama und Makeda - sechszehn Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
42 Lebnah, and Ether, and Ashan,
Ferner Libna, Ether, Asan,
43 And Iipthtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,
Jiphta, Asna, Nezib
44 And Keilah, and Aczib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.
Kegila, Achsib und Maresa - neun Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
45 Ekron with her townes and her villages,
Ekron mit den zugehörigen Ortschaften und Dörfern.
46 From Ekron, euen vnto the Sea, all that lyeth about Ashdod with their villages.
Von Ekron bis zum Meere alles, was zur Seite von Asdod liegt mit den zugehörigen Dörfern,
47 Ashdod with her townes and her villages: Azzah with her townes and her villages, vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the great Sea was their coast.
Asdod mit den zugehörigen Ortschaften und Dörfern, Gaza mit den zugehörigen Ortschaften und Dörfern bis zum Bach Ägyptens; die Grenze aber bildet durchweg das große Meer.
48 And in the mountaines were Shamir, and Iattir, and Socoh,
Auf dem Gebirge aber: Samir, Jattir, Socho,
49 And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannath (which is Debir)
Danna, Kirjath Sanna, das ist Debir,
50 And Anab, and Ashtemoth, and Anim,
Anab, Esthemo, Anim,
51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleuen cities with their villages,
Gosen, Holon und Gilo - elf Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,
Ferner Arab, Duma, Esean,
53 And Ianum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,
Janum, Beth Thappuah, Apheka,
54 And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) and Zior: nine cities with their villages.
Humta, Kirjath Arba, das ist Hebron und Zior - neun Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Iuttah,
Ferner Maon, Karmel, Siph, Juta,
56 And Izreel, and Iokdeam, and Zanoah,
Jesreel, Jokdeam, Sanoah,
57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.
Kain, Gibea und Thimna - zehn Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
Ferner Halhul, Bethzur, Gedor,
59 And Maarah, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: sixe cities with their villages.
Maarath, Beth Anoth und Elthekon - sechs Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
60 Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-iearim, and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.
Ferner Kirjath Baal, das ist Kirjath Jearim, und Rabba - zwei Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
61 In the wildernes were Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
In der Steppe: Beth Araba, Middin, Sechara,
62 And Nibshan, and the citie of salt, and Engedi: sixe cities with their villages.
Nibsan und die Salzstadt und Engedi - sechs Städte mit den zugehörigen Dörfern.
63 Neuerthelesse, the Iebusites that were the inhabitants of Ierusalem, could not the children of Iudah cast out, but the Iebusites dwell with the children of Iudah at Ierusalem vnto this day.
Was aber die Jebusiter, die Bewohner Jerusalems, anlangt, so vermochten die Judäer diese nicht zu vertreiben, und so blieben die Jebusiter mit den Judäern in Jerusalem wohnen bis auf den heutigen Tag.
