Joshua 13

1 Nowe when Ioshua was olde, and striken in yeeres, the Lord said vnto him, Thou art olde and growen in age, and there remaineth exceeding much land to be possessed:

Pea ko eni, kuo motuʻa ʻa Siosiua pea lahi hono taʻu; pea naʻe pehē ʻe Sihova kiate ia, “Kuo ke motuʻa, pea lahi ho taʻu, pea ʻoku kei toe lahi ʻaupito ʻae fonua ke ikuna.

2 This is the land that remaineth, all the regions of the Philistims, and all Geshuri,

Ko e fonua eni ʻoku kei toe; ko e ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻoe fonua ʻoe kakai Filisitia, mo Kesuli kotoa pē,

3 From Nilus which is in Egypt, euen vnto the borders of Ekron Northward: this is counted of the Canaanites, euen fiue Lordships of the Philistims, the Azzithites, and the Ashdodites, the Eshkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites, and the Auites:

Mei Sihoa, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he mata fonua ʻo ʻIsipite, ʻio, ʻo aʻu atu ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo Ekiloni ki tokelau, ʻaia kuo lau ia ki he kau Kēnani: ko e ʻeiki ʻe toko nima ʻoe kau Filisitia; ko e kakai Kesa, mo e kakai ʻAsitoti, mo e kakai ʻEsikoli, mo e kakai ʻa Kati, mo e kakai Ekiloni; pea mo e kakai ʻAvi foki:

4 From the South, all the land of the Canaanites, and the caue that is beside the Sidonians, vnto Aphek, and to the borders of the Amorites:

Mei he potu tonga, ko e fonua kotoa pē ʻoe kau Kēnani, mo Meala ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he potu ʻoe kakai Saitoni, ʻo aʻu ki ʻEfeki, ki he ngataʻanga ʻoe kau ʻAmoli:

5 And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunne rising from Bahal-gad vnder mount Hermon, vntil one come to Hamath.

Pea mo e fonua ʻoe kau Kipila, mo Lepanoni kotoa pē ʻo hanga ki he potu hopoʻangalaʻā, meia Peali kata ʻi lalo ʻoe moʻunga ko Heamoni ʻo aʻu ki he hūʻanga ki Hemati.

6 All the inhabitants of the mountaines from Lebanon vnto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, I wil cast them out from before the children of Israel: only deuide thou it by lot vnto the Israelites, to inherite, as I haue commanded thee.

7 Nowe therefore deuide this lande to inherite, vnto the nine tribes, and to the halfe tribe of Manasseh.

Pea ko eni, vahevahe ʻae fonua ni ki he faʻahinga ʻe hiva mo hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, ko honau tofiʻa,”

8 For with halfe therof the Reubenites and the Gadites haue receiued their inheritance, which Moses gaue them beyond Iorden Eastward, euen as Moses the seruant of the Lord had giuen them,

‌ʻAia naʻe maʻu fakataha mo e faʻahinga ʻo Lupeni mo Kata ʻa honau tofiʻa, ʻaia naʻe ʻatu kiate kinautolu ʻe Mōsese ʻi he potu ʻo Sioatani ki hahake, ʻio, ʻaia naʻe foaki kiate kinautolu ʻe Mōsese ko e tamaioʻeiki ʻa Sihova;

9 From Aroer that is on the brinke of the riuer Arnon, and from the citie that is in the mids of the riuer, and all the plaine of Medeba vnto Dibon,

Mei ʻAloeli ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he tafaʻaki vaitafe ʻo ʻAlanoni, pea mo e kolo ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he loto vaitafe, mo e toafa kotoa pē ʻo Metepa ʻo aʻu ki Tiponi;

10 And all the cities of Sihon King of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, vnto the borders of the children of Ammon,

Mo e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻo Sihoni ko e tuʻi ʻoe kau ʻAmoli, ʻaia naʻe pule ʻi Hesiponi, ʻo aʻu ki he ngataʻanga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻAmoni;

11 And Gilead, and the borders of the Geshurites and of the Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, with all Bashan vnto Salcah:

Mo Kiliati, mo e ngataʻanga ʻoe kakai Kesuli, mo Meekati, pea mo e moʻunga kotoa ʻo Heamoni, mo Pesani kotoa pē ʻo aʻu ki Salika;

12 All the kingdome of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei: (who remained of the rest of the gyants) for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.

Ko e puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo Oki ʻi Pesani, ʻaia naʻe pule ʻi ʻAsitelote, pea ʻi ʻEtilei, ʻakinautolu naʻe toe ʻi he toenga kakai lalahi: he naʻe taaʻi ʻakinautolu ʻe Mōsese, ʻo ne kapusi ʻakinautolu kituaʻā.

13 But the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites euen vnto this day.

Ka ko e moʻoni naʻe ʻikai kapusi ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻae kakai ʻo Kesa, mo e kakai ʻo Meekati: ka kuo nofo ʻae kakai Kesa, mo e kakai Meekati fakataha mo e kakai ʻIsileli ʻo aʻu ki he ʻaho ni.

14 Onely vnto the tribe of Leui he gaue none inheritance, but the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel are his inheritance, as he said vnto him.

Ko e faʻahinga pe ʻo Livai naʻe ʻikai ʻatu ʻe ia ha tofiʻa ki ai; ko e ngaahi feilaulau kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli naʻe ngaohi ʻaki ʻae afi ko honau tofiʻa ia ʻo hangē ko ʻene tala kiate kinautolu.

15 Moses then gaue vnto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance, according to their families.

Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Mōsese ki he faʻahinga ʻoe fānau ʻa Lupeni ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga.

16 And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the brinke of the riuer Arnon, and from the citie that is in the middes of the riuer, and all the plaine which is by Medeba:

Pea naʻe hoko ki ʻAloeli honau ngataʻanga, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he tafaʻaki vaitafe ʻo ʻAlanoni, mo e kolo ʻoku ʻi he loto vaitafe, pea mo e toafa kotoa pē ʻo Metepa;

17 Heshbon with all the cities thereof, that are in the plaine: Dibon and Bamoth-baal, and Bethbaal-meon:

Ko Hesiponi, mo hono ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻi he toafa; ko Tiponi, mo Pamoti-Peali, mo e Pete-Peali-mioni,

18 And Iahazah, and Kedemoth and Mephaath:

Mo Sehasi, mo Ketimote mo Mefeta,

19 Kiriathaim also, and Sibmah, and Zerethshahar in the mount of Emek:

Mo Kesatemi, mo Sipima, mo Seletiseha, ʻi he moʻunga ʻoe teleʻa,

20 And Beth-peor, and Ashdoth-pisgah, and Beth-ieshimoth:

Mo Pete Peoli, mo ʻAsitoti-pisika, mo Pete-Sesimote,

21 And all the cities of the plaine: and all the kingdome of Sihon King of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whome Moses smote with the Princes of Midian, Eui, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the countrey.

Pea mo e ngaahi kolo ʻoe toafa, mo e puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo Sihoni ko e tuʻi ʻoe kau ʻAmoli, ʻaia naʻe pule ʻi Hesiponi, ʻaia naʻe taaʻi ʻe Mōsese mo e houʻeiki ʻo Mitiane, ko Ivi, mo Lekimi, mo Sua, mo Hua, mo Lepa, ko e houʻeiki ʻakinautolu mo Sihoni, naʻe nofo ʻi he fonua.

22 And Balaam the sonne of Beor the soothsayer did the children of Israel slay with the sword, among them that were slaine.

Ko Pelami foki ko e foha ʻo Peoli ko e taulatuki, naʻe tāmateʻi ia ʻe he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻaki ʻae heletā fakataha mo kinautolu naʻe teʻia.

23 And the border of the children of Reuben was Iorden with the coastes. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben according to their families, with the cities and their villages.

Pea ko e ngataʻanga [fonua ]ʻoe fānau ʻa Lupeni, ko Sioatani, mo hono kauvai. Ko e tofiʻa ia ʻoe fānau ʻa Lupeni ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga, ko e ngaahi kolo mo e ngaahi potu kakai ʻi ai.

24 Also Moses gaue inheritance vnto ye tribe of Gad, euen vnto the children of Gad according to their families.

Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Mōsese ki he faʻahinga ʻo Kata, ʻio, ki he fānau ʻa Kata ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga.

25 And their coastes were Iazer, and all the cities of Gilead and halfe the lande of the children of Ammon vnto Aroer, which is before Rabbah:

Pea ko honau ngataʻanga ko Sesa, mo e ngaahi kolo kotoa pē ʻo Kiliati, mo hono vaeuaʻanga mālie ʻoe fonua ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻAmoni, ʻo aʻu ki ʻAloeli ʻaia ʻoku ʻi he ʻao ʻo Lapa;

26 And from Heshbon vnto Ramoth, Mizpeh, and Betonim: and from Mahanaim vnto the borders of Debir:

Pea mei Hesiponi ʻo aʻu ki Lamamisipa, mo Petonimi; pea mei Mehanemi ʻo aʻu ki he ngataʻanga ʻo Tipa;

27 And in the valley Beth-aram, and Bethnimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdome of Sihon King of Heshbon, vnto Iorden and the borders euen vnto the Sea coast of Cinneereth, beyond Iorden Eastward.

Pea ʻi he teleʻa, ko Pete-ʻAlami, mo Petenimila, mo Sukote, mo Safoni, ko hono toe ʻoe puleʻanga ʻo Sihoni ko e tuʻi ʻo Hesiponi, ko Sioatani mo hono fonua ʻo aʻu ki he matātahi ʻo Kineleti ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Soatani ki hahake.

28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad, after their families, with the cities, and their villages.

Ko e tofiʻa eni ʻoe fānau ʻa Kata ʻo fakatatau ki honau ngaahi faʻahinga, ko e ngaahi kolo, mo honau ngaahi potu kakai.

29 Also Moses gaue inheritance vnto the halfe tribe of Manasseh: and this belonged to the halfe tribe of the children of Manasseh according to their families.

Pea naʻe foaki ʻe Mōsese [ʻae tofiʻa ]ki hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase: pea ko e [tofiʻa eni ]ʻo hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe fānau ʻa Manase ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga.

30 And their border was from Mahanaim, euen all Bashan, to wit, all the kingdome of Og King of Bashan, and all the townes of Iair which are in Bashan, threescore cities,

Pea naʻe mei Mehanemi honau ngataʻanga, ko Pesani kotoa pē, ʻae puleʻanga kotoa pē ʻo Oki ko e tuʻi ʻo Pesani, mo e ngaahi kolo ʻo Saili, ʻaia ʻoku ʻi Pesani, ko e kolo ʻe onongofulu:

31 And halfe Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were giuen vnto the children of Machir the sonne of Manasseh, to halfe of the children of Machir after their families.

Mo hono vaeuaʻanga ʻo Kiliati, mo ʻAsitelote, mo e ʻEtilei, ko e ngaahi kolo ʻoe puleʻanga ʻo Oki ʻi Pesani, naʻe kau ki he fānau ʻa Mekili ko e foha ʻo Manase, ʻio ʻo aʻu ki hono vaeuamālieʻanga ʻoe fānau ʻa Mekili ʻi honau ngaahi faʻahinga.

32 These are the heritages, which Moses did distribute in the plaine of Moab beyond Iorden, toward Iericho Eastward.

Ko eni ia ʻaia naʻe vahe ʻe Mōsese ko e ngaahi tofiʻa ʻi he ngaahi potu tafangafanga ʻo Moape, ʻi he kauvai ʻe taha ʻo Soatani, ʻi he potu ʻo Seliko, ki hahake.

33 But vnto the tribe of Leui Moses gaue none inheritance: for the Lord God of Israel is their inheritance, as he said vnto them.

Ka naʻe ʻikai foaki ʻe Mōsese ha tofiʻa ki he faʻahinga ʻo Livai: ko Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli ko honau tofiʻa, ʻo hangē ko ʻene tala kiate kinautolu.
