1 And these are the Kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote and possessed their land, on the other side Iorden toward the rising of the sunne, from the riuer Arnon, vnto mount Hermon, and all the plaine Eastward.

Et voici les rois que firent disparaître les fils d'Israël, et dont la terre devint l'héritage de ces derniers au delà du Jourdain, sur la rive orientale, depuis le val d'Arnon jusqu'au mont Hermon (toute la terre d'Araba, à l'orient):

2 Sihon King of the Amorites, that dwelt in Heshbon, hauing dominion from Aroer, which is beside the riuer of Arnon, and from the middle of the riuer, and from halfe Gilead vnto the riuer Iabbok, in the border of the children of Ammon.

Séhon, roi des Amorrhéens, qui demeurait en Esebon et régnait sur tout le pays, depuis Arnon qui est dans la vallée dont elle occupe une partie, et depuis le milieu de Galaad jusqu'à Jaboc, limite des fils d'Ammon,

3 And from the plaine vnto the sea of Cinneroth Eastward, and vnto the Sea of the plaine, euen the salt sea Eastward, the way to Beth-ieshimoth, and from the South vnder the springs of Pisgah.

Et sur Araba jusqu'à la rive orientale de la mer de Cénéroth, et jusqu'à la rive orientale de la mer d'Araba (la mer des Sels), vers la route d'Asimoth, à partir de Théman, qui est sous Asedoth-Phasga.

4 They conquered also the coast of Og King of Bashan of the remnant of the gyants, which dwelt at Ashtaroth, and at Edrei,

Et le roi de Basan, Og, reste des géants, qui habitait en Astaroth et en Edraïn, et

5 And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, vnto the border of the Geshurites, and the Maachathites, and halfe Gilead, euen the border of Sihon King of Heshbon.

Régnait, depuis le mont Hermon et depuis Secchaï, sur toute la terre de Basan, jusqu'aux confins de Gergési, sur Machis et sur la moitié de Galaad, limitrophe de Séhon, roi d'Esebon.

6 Moses the seruant of the Lord, and the children of Israel smote them: Moses also the seruant of the Lord gaue their land for a possession vnto the Reubenites, and vnto the Gadites, and to halfe the tribe of Manasseh.

Moïse, serviteur de Dieu, et les fils d'Israël détruisirent ces deux rois, et ils donnèrent leurs royaumes en héritage a Ruben, a Gad et à la demi-tribu de Manassé.

7 These also are the Kings of the countrey, which Ioshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Iorden, Westward, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon, euen vnto the mount Halak that goeth vp to Seir, and Ioshua gaue it vnto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their portions:

Et voici les rois des Amorrhéens que détruisirent Josué et les fils Israël en deçà du Jourdain, du côté de l'occident, depuis Balagad, dans la plaine au- dessous du Liban, jusqu'aux montagnes de Chelcha qui s'élèvent vers Séir. Et Josué donna leurs royaumes en héritage aux tribus d'Israël en tirant les portions au sort.

8 In the mountaines, and in the valleys, and in the plaines, and in the hill sides, and in the wildernes, and in the South, where were the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites.

Dans la montagne, et dans la plaine, et dans Araba, et dans Asedoth, et dans le désert, en Nageb, il détruisit l'Hettéen, l'Amorrhéen, le Chananéen, le Phérézéen, l'Evéen et le Jébuséen,

9 The King of Iericho was one: the King of Ai, which is beside Beth-el, one:

Le roi de Jéricho, le roi d'Haï qui est près de Béthel,

10 The King of Ierusalem, one: the King of Hebron, one:

Le roi de Jérusalem, le roi d'Hébron,

11 The King of Iarmuth, one: the King of Lachish, one:

Le roi de Jérimuth, le roi de Lachis,

12 The King of Eglon, one: the King of Gezer, one:

Le roi d'Elam, le roi de Gazer,

13 The King of Debir, one: the King of Geder, one:

Le roi de Dabir, le roi de Gader,

14 The King of Hormah, one: the King of Arad, one:

Le roi d'Hermath, le roi d'Ader,
