Joshua 10
1 Now when Adoni-zedek King of Ierusalem had heard how Ioshua had taken Ai and had destroyed it, (for as he had done to Iericho and to the King thereof, so he had done to Ai and to the King thereof) and howe the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them,
Karon si Adonizedek, nga hari sa Jerusalem, nakadungog nga nailog ni Josue ang Ai ug nalaglag gayod kini sa hingpit, sama sa iyang gibuhat sa Jerico ug sa hari niini. Ug nakadungog siya kung giunsa pagpakighigala sa katawhan sa Gibeon ngadto sa Israel ug namuyo uban kanila.
2 Then they feared exceedingly: for Gibeon was a great citie, as one of the royall cities: for it was greater then Ai, and all the men thereof were mightie.
Nangahadlok pag-ayo ang katawhan sa Jerusalem tungod kay ang Gibeon usa man ka dako nga siyudad kaniadto, sama sa usa sa harianon nga mga siyudad. Mas dako pa kini kay sa Ai, ug ang tanan nga mga kalalakin-an niini mga kusgan gayod nga mga manggugubat.
3 Wherefore Adoni-zedek King of Ierusalem sent vnto Hoham King of Hebron, and vnto Piram King of Iarmuth, and vnto Iapia King of Lachish, and vnto Debir King of Eglon, saying,
Busa nagpadala ug mensahe si Adonizedek, nga hari sa Jerusalem, ngadto kang Hoham, nga hari sa Hebron, kang Piram, nga hari sa Jarmut, kang Jafia, nga hari sa Lakis, ug kang Dabir, nga hari sa Eglon:
4 Come vp vnto me, and helpe me, that we may smite Gibeon: for they haue made peace with Ioshua and with the children of Israel.
“Tungas kamo nganhi kanako ug tabangi ako. Sulongon nato ang Gibeon kay nakighigala man sila kang Josue ug sa katawhan sa Israel.”
5 Therefore the fiue Kings of the Amorites, the King of Ierusalem, the King of Hebron, the King of Iarmuth, the King of Lachish, and the King of Eglon gathered themselues together, and went vp, they with all their hostes, and besieged Gibeon, and made warre against it.
Ang lima ka mga hari sa mga Amorihanon; ang hari sa Jerusalem, sa Hebron, sa Jarmut, sa Lakis, ug ang hari sa Eglon, nanungas sila uban ang tanan nilang mga kasundalohan. Gilibotan nila ang Gibeon, ug gisulong nila kini.
6 And the men of Gibeon sent vnto Ioshua, euen to the hoste to Gilgal, saying, Withdrawe not thine hand from thy seruants: come vp to vs quickly, and saue vs, and helpe vs: for all the Kings of the Amorites which dwell in the mountaines, are gathered together against vs.
Nagpadala ug mensahe ang katawhan sa Gibeon ngadto kang Josue ug sa mga kasundalohan nga anaa sa Gilgal. Miingon sila, “Pagdali! Ayaw ninyo kuhaa ang inyong mga kamot nganhi sa inyong mga sulugoon. Tungas dayon kamo dinhi kanamo ug luwasa kami. Tabangi kami, kay ang tanang hari sa mga Amorihanon nga nagpuyo sa kabungtoran nagkahiusa sa pagsulong kanamo.”
7 So Ioshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of warre with him, and all the men of might.
Mitungas si Josue gikan sa Gilgal uban ang tanan niyang mga kasundalohan, ug ang tanang kalalakin-an nga mga manggugubat.
8 And the Lord sayd vnto Ioshua, Feare them not: for I haue giuen them into thine hand: none of them shall stand against thee.
Miingon si Yahweh kang Josue, “Ayaw kahadlok kanila. Gihatag ko na sila sa imong kamot. Walay ni bisan usa kanila ang makahimo sa pagpugong sa inyong pagsulong.”
9 Ioshua therefore came vnto them suddenly: for he went vp from Gilgal all the night.
Miabot dayon si Josue kanila, nga nagpanaw tibuok gabii gikan sa Gilgal.
10 And the Lord discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth vp to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah and to Makkedah.
Unya gilibog ni Yahweh ang mga kaaway sa Israel—nga nipatay kanila sa hilabihan nga kamatay didto sa Gibeon, ug gigukod nila sila patungas sa Bet Horon, ug gipamatay usab nila ang anaa sa dalan paingon sa Azeka ug Makeda.
11 And as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going downe to Beth-horon, the Lord cast downe great stones from heauen vpon them, vntill Azekah, and they dyed: they were more that dyed with the hailestones, then they whom the children of Israel slewe with the sword.
Samtang nang-ikyas sila gikan sa Israel, palugsong sa bungtod gikan sa Bet Horon, nagpaulan ug dagkong mga bato si Yahweh gikan sa langit paingon sa Azeka, ug nangamatay sila. Mas daghan pa ang nangamatay tungod sa ulan nga bato kaysa nangamatay pinaagi sa espada sa mga kalalakin-an sa Israel.
12 Then spake Ioshua to the Lord, in the day when the Lord gaue the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he sayd in the sight of Israel, Sunne, stay thou in Gibeon, and thou moone, in the valley of Aialon.
Unya nakigsulti si Josue kang Yahweh sa adlaw nga gihatag ni Yahweh ang kadaogan sa Israel batok sa mga Amorihanon. Mao kini ang gisulti ni Josue ngadto kang Yahweh atubangan sa Israel, “Adlaw, ayaw ug salop sa Gibeon, ug ikaw bulan, sa walog sa Ajalon.”
13 And the Sunne abode, and the moone stood still, vntill the people auenged themselues vpon their enemies: (Is not this written in the booke of Iasher?) so the Sunne abode in the middes of the heauen, and hasted not to goe downe for a whole day.
Mipundo ang adlaw, ug miundang ang paglihok sa bulan hangtod nga nakapanimalos na ang nasod sa ilang mga kaaway. Wala ba kini nahisulat Sa Libro ni Jasar? Ang adlaw nagpundo sa tungatunga sa kawanangan; wala kini misalop tibuok adlaw.
14 And there was no day like that before it, nor after it, that the Lord heard the voyce of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.
Wala na gayoy sama niining adlawa kaniadto o human niini, sa dihang gituman ni Yahweh ang tingog sa usa ka tawo. Kay si Yahweh man ang nakiggubat alang sa Israel.
15 After, Ioshua returned, and all Israel with him vnto the campe to Gilgal:
Mibalik si Josue ug ang tibuok Israel ngadto sa kampo sa Gilgal.
16 But the fiue Kings fled and were hid in a caue at Makkedah.
Karon nakaikyas ug mitago ang lima ka mga hari ngadto sa langob sa Makeda.
17 And it was tolde Ioshua, saying, The fiue Kings are found hid in a caue at Makkedah.
Gisulti kini kang Josue, “Nakit-an na sila! —ang lima ka mga hari nga mitago sa langob sa Makeda!”
18 Then Ioshua said, Roule great stones vpon the mouth of the caue, and set men by it for to keepe them.
Miingon si Josue, “Paligiri ug dagkong mga bato ang baba sa langob ug pagbutang ug mga sundalo aron mobantay kanila.
19 But stand ye not still: follow after your enemies, and smite all the hindmost, suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the Lord your God hath giuen them into your hand.
Ayaw kamo pagpundo dinhi. Gukda ang inyong mga kaaway ug sulonga sila gikan sa likod. Ayaw sila tugoti nga makasulod sa ilang mga siyudad, tungod kay gihatag naman sila ni Yahweh sa inyong kamot.”
20 And when Ioshua and the children of Israel had made an ende of slaying them with an exceeding great slaughter till they were consumed, and the rest that remained of them were entred into walled cities,
Daghan na kaayo ug napatay si Josue ug ang mga anak nga lalaki sa Israel, hangtod nga hapit na sila malaglag sa hingpit; diyutay lang sa mga nakaikyas ang nakaabot sa ilang mga siyudad.
21 Then all the people returned to the campe, to Ioshua at Makkedah in peace: no man mooued his tongue against the children of Israel.
Unya namalik nga malinawon ang tibuok kasundalohan ngadto kang Josue nga anaa sa kampo sa Makeda. Ug wala gayoy misulay sa pagsulti ug pulong batok sa katawhan sa Israel.
22 After, Ioshua sayd, Open the mouth of the caue, and bring out these fiue Kings vnto me forth of the caue.
Unya miingon si Josue, “Ablihi ang baba sa langob ug gikan sa langob dad-a kanako kining lima ka mga hari.”
23 And they did so, and brought out those fiue Kings vnto him forth of the caue, euen the King of Ierusalem, the King of Hebron, ye King of Iarmuth, the King of Lachish, and the King of Eglon.
Gihimo nila ang iyang giingon. Gidala nila kaniya ang lima ka mga hari gikan sa langob—ang hari sa Jerusalem, ang hari sa Hebron, ang hari sa Jarmut, ang hari sa Lakis, ug ang hari sa Eglon.
24 And when they had brought out those Kings vnto Ioshua, Ioshua called for all the men of Israel, and sayd vnto the chiefe of the men of warre, which went with him, Come neere, set your feete vpon the necks of these Kings: and they came neere and set their feete vpon their necks.
Ug sa dihang gidala na nila ang mga hari ngadto kang Josue, gisugo niya ang matag lalaki sa Israel, ug miingon siya sa mga pangulo sa mga kasundalohan nga miuban kaniya sa pagpakiggubat, “tumbi ang ilang mga liog.” Busa miduol sila ug gitumban nila ang ilang mga liog.
25 And Ioshua sayd vnto them, Feare not, nor be faint hearted, but be strong and of a good courage: for thus will the Lord doe to all your enemies, against whome ye fight.
Unya miingon siya kanila, “Ayaw kamo kahadlok ug ayaw kamo kaluya. Pagmaisogon ug pagmadasigon. Mao kini ang buhaton ni Yahweh sa tanan ninyong mga kaaway nga inyong pakigbatokan.”
26 So then Ioshua smote them, and slewe them, and hanged them on fiue trees, and they hanged still vpon the trees vntill the euening.
Unya gisulong ug gipatay ni Josue ang mga hari. Gibitay niya sila sa lima ka mga kahoy. Nagbitay sila sa mga kahoy hangtod sa gabii.
27 And at the going downe of the sunne, Ioshua gaue commandement, that they should take them downe off the trees, and cast them into the caue (wherein they had bene hid) and they layde great stones vpon the caues mouth, which remaine vntill this day.
Sa dihang misalop na ang adlaw, naghatag ug mga mando si Josue ug ila kining ginaog gikan sa mga kahoy ug gilabay kini sa langob diin sila mitago. Gitakloban nila ug dagko nga mga bato ang baba sa langob. Nagpabilin gihapon didto kadto nga mga bato hangtod karon.
28 And that same day Ioshua tooke Makkedah and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the King thereof destroyed he with them, and all the soules that were therein, he let none remaine: for hee did to the King of Makkedah as he had done vnto the King of Iericho.
Niini nga paagi, gisakop ni Josue ang Makeda niadtong adlawa ug gipamatay ang tanan nga atua didto pinaagi sa espada, lakip na ang hari niini. Gilaglag niya sila sa hingpit uban ang tanang mga buhing binuhat nga atua didto. Wala gayod siyay gibilin nga mga buhi. Gibuhat niya sa hari sa Makeda ang gibuhat niya sa hari sa Jerico.
29 Then Ioshua went from Makkedah, and all Israel with him vnto Libnah, and fought against Libnah.
Milatas si Josue ug ang tibuok Israel gikan sa Makeda hangtod sa Libna. Nakig-away siya batok sa Libna.
30 And the Lord gaue it also and the King thereof into the hand of Israel: and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the soules that were therein: he let none remaine in it: for he did vnto the King thereof, as he had done vnto the King of Iericho.
Gihatag usab kini ni Yahweh sa kamot sa Israel—uban sa ilang hari. Gipatay ni Josue ang matag buhing binuhat pinaagi sa espada. Wala siya magbilin ug bisan unsa nga buhi. Gibuhat niya sa hari ang gibuhat niya ngadto sa hari sa Jerico.
31 And Ioshua departed from Libnah, and all Israel with him vnto Lachish, and besieged it, and assaulted it.
Unya milabay si Josue ug ang tibuok Israel gikan sa Libna paingon sa Lakis. Nagkampo sila didto ug nagkiggubat batok niini.
32 And the Lord gaue Lachish into the hand of Israel, which tooke it the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the soules that were therein, according to all as he had done to Libnah.
Gihatag ni Yahweh ang Lakis ngadto sa kamot sa Israel. Nasakop kini ni Josue sa ikaduha nga adlaw. Gipamatay niya pinaagi sa espada ang tanang buhing binuhat nga anaa niini, sama sa iyang gibuhat ngadto sa Libna.
33 Then Horam King of Gezer came vp to helpe Lachish: but Ioshua smote him and his people, vntill none of his remained.
Unya miabot ang hari sa Gezer nga si Horam, aron tabangan ang Lakis. Gipatay siya ni Josue ug ang iyang kasundalohan hangtod nga wala na gayoy bisan usa kanila ang nahibilin nga buhi.
34 And from Lachish Ioshua departed vnto Eglon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged it, and assaulted it,
Unya milatas si Josue ug ang tibuok Israel gikan sa Lakis hangtod sa Eglon. Nagkampo sila didto ug nagkiggubat batok niini,
35 And they tooke it the same day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the soules that were therein he vtterly destroyed the same day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.
ug nailog nila kini niana usab nga adlaw. Gitigbas nila kini pinaagi sa espada ug hingpit gayod ang pagkalaglag sa tanan nga anaa niini, sama sa gibuhat ni Josue ngadto sa Lakis.
36 Then Ioshua went vp from Eglon, and all Israel with him vnto Hebron, and they fought against it.
Unya milatas si Josue ug ang tibuok Israel gikan sa Eglon hangtod sa Hebron. Nakiggubat sila batok kanila.
37 And when they had taken it, they smote it with the edge of the sword, and the King thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the soules that were therein: he left none remaining, according to all as he had done to Eglon: for he destroyed it vtterly, and all the soules that were therein.
Giilog nila kini ug gitigbas pinaagi sa espada ang tanan nga anaa niini, lakip na ang hari ug ang kasikbit nga mga baryo niini. Gilaglag gayod nila sa hingpit ang tanang buhing binuhat nga anaa niini, wala gayod silay gibilin nga buhi, sama sa gibuhat ni Josue ngadto sa Eglon. Gilaglag niya kini sa hingpit, lakip na ang tanan nga mga buhing binuhat nga anaa niini.
38 So Ioshua returned, and all Israel with him to Debir, and fought against it.
Unya mibalik si Josue, uban ang tanang kasundalohan sa Israel, ug milabay sila sa Debir ug nakiggubat batok niini.
39 And when he had taken it, and the King thereof, and all the citie thereof, they smote them with the edge of the sword, and vtterly destroyed all the soules that were therein, he let none remaine: as he did to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the King thereof, as he had also done to Libnah, and to the King thereof.
Gisakop niya kini lakip na ang hari niini, ug ang tanang kasikbit nga mga baryo niini. Gitigbas nila sila pinaagi sa espada ug hingpit nga gilaglag ang tanang buhing binuhat nga anaa niini. Wala gayoy gibilin nga buhi si Josue, sama sa iyang gibuhat ngadto sa Hebron ug sa hari niini, ug sama sa iyang gibuhat sa Libna ug sa hari niini.
40 So Ioshua smote all the hill countreys, and the South countreys, and the valleys, and the hill sides, and all their Kings, and let none remaine, but vtterly destroyed euery soule, as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.
Gipildi ni Josue ang tibuok yuta, ang anaa sa kabungtoran, ang Negeb, ang anaa sa kapatagan, ug ang anaa sa tiilan sa mga bungtod. Sa tanan nga mga hari wala gayod siyay gibilin nga buhi. Gilaglag gayod niya sa hingpit ang matag buhing butang, sama sa gimando ni Yahweh, nga Dios sa Israel.
41 And Ioshua smote them from Kadesh-barnea euen vnto Azzah, and all the countrey of Goshen, euen vnto Gibeon.
Gitigbas sila ni Josue pinaagi sa espada gikan sa Kades Barnea ngadto sa Gaza, ug ang tibuok nasod sa Gosen ngadto sa Gibeon.
42 And all these Kings, and their land did Ioshua take at one time, because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel.
Nasakop ni Josue kining tanan nga mga hari ug ang ilang yuta sa usa lamang ka higayon tungod kay si Yahweh, nga Dios sa Israel, maoy nakigbatok alang sa Israel.
43 Afterward, Ioshua and all Israel with him returned vnto the campe in Gilgal.
Unya mipauli si Josue, uban ang tibuok Israel ngadto sa kampo sa Gilgal.
