John 8
1 And Iesus went vnto the mount of Oliues,
౧యేసు ఒలీవ కొండకు వెళ్ళాడు.
2 And early in the morning came againe into the Temple, and all the people came vnto him, and he sate downe, and taught them.
౨ఉదయం పెందలకడనే యేసు తిరిగి దేవాలయంలోకి వచ్చాడు. అప్పుడు ప్రజలంతా ఆయన దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు. ఆయన కూర్చుని వారికి ఉపదేశించడం మొదలుపెట్టాడు.
3 Then the Scribes, and the Pharises brought vnto him a woman, taken in adulterie, and set her in the middes,
౩అప్పుడు ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ పరిసయ్యులూ ఒక స్త్రీని తీసుకుని వచ్చారు. వారు ఆమెను వ్యభిచారం చేస్తుండగా పట్టుకున్నారు. ఆమెను అందరి మధ్య నిలబెట్టారు.
4 And said vnto him, Master, we foud this woman committing adulterie, euen in the very acte.
౪వారు ఆయనతో, “బోధకా, ఈ స్త్రీ వ్యభిచారం చేస్తూ పట్టుబడింది.
5 Now Moses in our Law commanded, that such should be stoned: what sayest thou therefore?
౫ఇలాంటి వారిని రాళ్ళతో కొట్టి చంపాలని ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో మోషే ఆదేశించాడు కదా! నువ్వేమంటావ్?” అని అడిగారు.
6 And this they saide to tempt him, that they might haue, whereof to accuse him. But Iesus stouped downe, and with his finger wrote on the groud.
౬ఆయన మీద ఎలాగైనా నేరం మోపాలని ఆయనను పరీక్షిస్తూ ఇలా అడిగారు. అయితే యేసు విననట్టు తన వేలితో నేల మీద ఏదో రాస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
7 And while they continued asking him, hee lift himselfe vp, and sayde vnto them, Let him that is among you without sinne, cast the first stone at her.
౭వారు పట్టు విడవకుండా ఆయనను అడుగుతూనే ఉన్నారు. దాంతో ఆయన తల ఎత్తి చూసి, “మీలో పాపం లేనివాడు ఆమె మీద మొదటి రాయి వేయవచ్చు” అని వారితో చెప్పి
8 And againe hee stouped downe, and wrote on the ground.
౮మళ్ళీ వంగి వేలితో నేల మీద రాస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
9 And when they heard it, being accused by their owne conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at ye eldest euen to the last: so Iesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the mids.
౯ఆయన పలికిన మాట విని పెద్దా చిన్నా అంతా ఒకరి తరువాత ఒకరు బయటకు వెళ్ళారు. చివరికి యేసు ఒక్కడే మిగిలిపోయాడు. ఆ స్త్రీ అలానే మధ్యలో నిలబడి ఉంది.
10 When Iesus had lift vp himselfe againe, and sawe no man, but the woman, hee saide vnto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
౧౦యేసు తలెత్తి ఆమెను చూశాడు. “నీమీద నిందారోపణ చేసిన వారంతా ఎక్కడమ్మా? నీకు ఎవరూ శిక్ష వేయలేదా?” అని అడిగాడు.
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Iesus said, Neither do I condemne thee: go and sinne no more.
౧౧ఆమె, “లేదు ప్రభూ” అంది. దానికి యేసు, “నేను కూడా నీకు శిక్ష వేయను. వెళ్ళు, ఇంకెప్పుడూ పాపం చేయకు” అన్నాడు.
12 Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am that light of the worlde: hee that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenes, but shall haue that light of life.
౧౨మళ్ళీ యేసు ఇలా అన్నాడు, “నేను లోకానికి వెలుగును. నన్ను వెంబడించేవాడు చీకటిలో నడవడు. జీవపు వెలుగు కలిగి ఉంటాడు.”
13 The Pharises therefore saide vnto him, Thou bearest recorde of thy selfe: thy recorde is not true.
౧౩అప్పుడు పరిసయ్యులు, “నీ గురించి నువ్వే సాక్ష్యం చెప్పుకుంటున్నావు. నీ సాక్ష్యం సరైనది కాదు” అన్నారు.
14 Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, Though I beare recorde of my selfe, yet my recorde is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go: but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I goe.
౧౪జవాబుగా యేసు, “నా గురించి నేను సాక్ష్యం చెప్పినా అది సత్యమే అవుతుంది. ఎందుకంటే నేను ఎక్కణ్ణించి వచ్చానో, ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నానో నాకు తెలుసు. నేను ఎక్కణ్ణించి వచ్చానో ఎక్కడికి వెళ్తున్నానో మీకు తెలియదు.
15 Ye iudge after the flesh: I iudge no man.
౧౫మీరు శరీర సంబంధంగా తీర్పు తీరుస్తారు. నేను ఎవరికీ తీర్పు తీర్చను.
16 And if I also iudge, my iudgement is true: for I am not alone, but I, and the Father, that sent mee.
౧౬అయినా నేను ఒంటరిని కాదు. నేను నన్ను పంపిన నా తండ్రి నాతో ఉన్నాడు. కాబట్టి ఒకవేళ నేను తీర్పు తీర్చినా అది సత్యమే అవుతుంది.
17 And it is also written in your Lawe, that the testimonie of two men is true.
౧౭ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తుల సాక్ష్యం సత్యం అవుతుందని మీ ధర్మశాస్త్రంలోనే రాసి ఉంది కదా!
18 I am one that beare witnes of my selfe, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnes of me.
౧౮నా గురించి సాక్ష్యం నేను చెప్పుకొంటాను. నన్ను పంపిన తండ్రి కూడా నా గురించి సాక్ష్యం ఇస్తున్నాడు” అన్నాడు.
19 Then saide they vnto him, Where is that Father of thine? Iesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor that Father of mine. If ye had knowen me, ye should haue knowen that Father of mine also.
౧౯వారు, “నీ తండ్రి ఎక్కడ ఉన్నాడు?” అని అడిగారు. అందుకు యేసు, “మీకు నేను గానీ నా తండ్రి గానీ తెలియదు. ఒకవేళ నేను మీకు తెలిస్తే నా తండ్రి కూడా తెలిసే ఉంటాడు” అన్నాడు.
20 These wordes spake Iesus in the treasurie, as hee taught in the Temple, and no man layde handes on him: for his houre was not yet come.
౨౦ఆయన దేవాలయంలో ఉపదేశిస్తూ చందా పెట్టె ఉన్నచోట ఈ మాటలు చెప్పాడు. ఆయన సమయం రాలేదు కాబట్టి ఎవరూ ఆయనను పట్టుకోలేదు.
21 Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.
౨౧మరోసారి ఆయన, “నేను వెళ్ళిపోతున్నాను. నేను వెళ్ళాక మీరు నాకోసం వెతుకుతారు. కానీ మీ పాపాల్లోనే మీరు మరణిస్తారు. నేను వెళ్ళే చోటికి మీరు రాలేరు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు.
22 Then said the Iewes, Will he kill himselfe, because he saith, Whither I goe, can ye not come?
౨౨దానికి యూదులు, “‘నేను వెళ్ళే చోటికి మీరు రాలేరు’ అంటున్నాడేమిటి? ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకుంటాడా ఏమిటి?” అని చెప్పుకున్నారు.
23 And hee saide vnto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from aboue: ye are of this world, I am not of this worlde.
౨౩అప్పుడు ఆయన, “మీరు కింద ఉండేవారు. నేను పైన ఉండేవాణ్ణి. మీరు ఈ లోకానికి సంబంధించిన వారు. నేను ఈ లోకానికి సంబంధించిన వాణ్ణి కాదు.
24 I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.
౨౪కాబట్టి మీరు మీ పాపాల్లోనే మరణిస్తారని చెప్పాను. ఎందుకంటే నేనే ఆయననని మీరు నమ్మకపోతే మీరు మీ పాపాల్లోనే మరణిస్తారు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు.
25 Then saide they vnto him, Who art thou? And Iesus saide vnto them, Euen the same thing that I said vnto you from the beginning.
౨౫కాబట్టి వారు “అసలు నువ్వు ఎవరు?” అని అడిగారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన వారితో ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “నేను ప్రారంభం నుండి ఎవరినని మీకు చెబుతూ ఉన్నానో ఆయననే.
26 I haue many things to say, and to iudge of you: but he that sent me, is true, and the things that I haue heard of him, those speake I to the world.
౨౬మీ గురించి చెప్పడానికీ మీకు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికీ నాకు చాలా సంగతులు ఉన్నాయి. అయితే నన్ను పంపినవాడు సత్యవంతుడు. నేను ఆయన దగ్గర విన్న విషయాలనే ఈ లోకానికి బోధిస్తున్నాను.”
27 They vnderstoode not that hee spake to them of the Father.
౨౭తండ్రి అయిన దేవుని గురించి ఆయన తమకు చెబుతున్నాడని వారు అర్థం చేసుకోలేక పోయారు.
28 Then said Iesus vnto them, When ye haue lift vp the Sonne of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I doe nothing of my selfe, but as my Father hath taught me, so I speake these things.
౨౮కాబట్టి యేసు, “మీరు మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి పైకెత్తినప్పుడు ‘ఉన్నవాడు’ అనేవాణ్ణి నేనే అని తెలుసుకుంటారు. నా స్వంతగా నేను ఏమీ చేయననీ తండ్రి నాకు చెప్పినట్టుగానే ఈ సంగతులు మాట్లాడుతున్నాననీ మీరు గ్రహిస్తారు.
29 For he that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone, because I do alwayes those things that please him.
౨౯నన్ను పంపినవాడు నాకు తోడుగా ఉన్నాడు. ఆయనకు ఇష్టమైన వాటినే నేను చేస్తూ ఉన్నాను కాబట్టి ఆయన నన్ను విడిచి పెట్టలేదు” అని చెప్పాడు.
30 As hee spake these thinges, many beleeued in him.
౩౦ఆయన ఇలా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే చాలామంది ఆయనలో నమ్మకముంచారు.
31 Then saide Iesus to the Iewes which beleeued in him, If ye continue in my worde, ye are verely my disciples,
౩౧కాబట్టి యేసు, తనలో నమ్మకముంచిన యూదులతో, “మీరు నా వాక్కులో స్థిరంగా ఉంటే నిజంగా నాకు శిష్యులౌతారు.
32 And shall know the trueth, and the trueth shall make you free.
౩౨సత్యాన్ని గ్రహిస్తారు. అప్పుడు ఆ సత్యమే మిమ్మల్ని విడుదల చేస్తుంది” అన్నాడు.
33 They answered him, Wee be Abrahams seede, and were neuer bonde to any man: why sayest thou then, Ye shalbe made free?
౩౩అప్పుడు వారు, “మేము అబ్రాహాము వారసులం. మేము ఎప్పుడూ ఎవరికీ బానిసలుగా ఉండలేదే. ‘మీరు విడుదల పొందుతారు’ అని ఎలా అంటున్నావు?” అన్నారు.
34 Iesus answered them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, that whosoeuer committeth sinne, is the seruant of sinne.
౩౪దానికి యేసు, “మీకు కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను, పాపం చేసే ప్రతివాడూ పాపానికి బానిసే.
౩౫బానిస ఎప్పుడూ ఇంట్లో ఉండడు. కానీ కుమారుడు ఎప్పుడూ ఇంట్లోనే నివాసం ఉంటాడు. (aiōn g165)
36 If that Sonne therefore shall make you free, ye shalbe free in deede.
౩౬కుమారుడు మిమ్మల్ని విడుదల చేస్తే మీరు నిజంగా స్వతంత్రులై ఉంటారు.
37 I know that ye are Abrahams seede, but yee seeke to kill mee, because my worde hath no place in you.
౩౭మీరు అబ్రాహాము వారసులని నాకు తెలుసు. అయినా మీలో నా వాక్కుకు చోటు లేదు. కాబట్టే నన్ను చంపడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు.
38 I speake that which I haue seene with my Father: and ye doe that which ye haue seene with your father.
౩౮నేను ఉపదేశించేదంతా నా తండ్రి దగ్గర నేను చూసినదే. అలాగే మీరు మీ తండ్రి దగ్గర విన్న సంగతుల ప్రకారమే పనులు చేస్తున్నారు” అని చెప్పాడు.
39 They answered, and saide vnto him, Abraham is our father. Iesus said vnto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye woulde doe the workes of Abraham.
౩౯దానికి వారు, “మా తండ్రి అబ్రాహాము” అన్నారు. అప్పుడు యేసు, “మీరు అబ్రాహాము పిల్లలైతే అబ్రాహాము చేసిన పనులే చేసేవారు.
40 But nowe ye goe about to kill mee, a man that haue told you the trueth, which I haue heard of God: this did not Abraham.
౪౦దేవుని దగ్గర నేను విన్న సత్యాన్ని మీకు చెప్పినందుకు నన్ను చంపాలని ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారుగా. అయితే అబ్రాహాము అలా చేయలేదు.
41 Ye do the workes of your father. Then said they to him, We are not borne of fornication: we haue one Father, which is God.
౪౧మీరు మీ తండ్రి పనులే చేస్తున్నారు” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు. దానికి వారు, “మేము వ్యభిచారం వల్ల పుట్టినవారం కాదు. మాకు ఒక్కడే తండ్రి. ఆయన దేవుడు” అన్నారు.
42 Therefore Iesus sayde vnto them, If God were your Father, then woulde ye loue mee: for I proceeded foorth, and came from God, neither came I of my selfe, but he sent me.
౪౨యేసు వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “దేవుడు మీ తండ్రి అయితే మీరు నన్ను ప్రేమించి ఉండేవారు. నేను వచ్చింది దేవుని దగ్గర్నుంచే. నా అంతట నేను రాలేదు. ఆయనే నన్ను పంపించాడు.
43 Why doe ye not vnderstande my talke? because ye cannot heare my worde.
౪౩నా మాటలు మీరు ఎందుకు అర్థం చేసుకోవడం లేదు? నా మాట వినే మీకు సహనం లేదు.
44 Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lustes of your father ye will doe: hee hath bene a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no trueth in him. When hee speaketh a lie, then speaketh hee of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
౪౪మీరు మీ తండ్రి అయిన సాతానుకు సంబంధించిన వారు. మీ తండ్రి దురాశలను నెరవేర్చాలని మీరు చూస్తున్నారు. మొదట్నించీ వాడు హంతకుడు, వాడు సత్యంలో నిలిచి ఉండడు. ఎందుకంటే వాడిలో సత్యం లేదు. వాడు అబద్ధం చెప్పినప్పుడల్లా తన స్వభావాన్ని అనుసరించి మాట్లాడతాడు. వాడు అబద్ధికుడు, అబద్ధానికి తండ్రి.
45 And because I tell you the trueth, yee beleeue me not.
౪౫నేను చెబుతున్నది సత్యమే అయినా మీరు నన్ను నమ్మరు.
46 Which of you can rebuke me of sinne? and if I say the trueth, why do ye not beleeue me?
౪౬నాలో పాపం ఉన్నదని మీలో ఎవరు నిరూపించ గలరు? నేను సత్యాన్నే చెబుతున్నా మీరెందుకు నమ్మడం లేదు?
47 He that is of God, heareth Gods wordes: yee therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
౪౭ఒకడు దేవునికి చెందినవాడు అయితే దేవుని మాటలు వింటాడు. మీరు దేవుని సంబంధులు కారు కాబట్టి మీరు ఆయన మాటలు వినరు.”
48 Then answered the Iewes, and said vnto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritane, and hast a deuil?
౪౮అందుకు యూదులు, “నువ్వు సమరయ వాడివి, నీకు దయ్యం పట్టింది అని మేము చెబుతున్న మాట నిజమే!” అన్నారు.
49 Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me.
౪౯అప్పుడు యేసు, “నాకు దయ్యం పట్టలేదు. నేను నా తండ్రిని గౌరవిస్తున్నాను. మీరు నన్ను అవమానిస్తున్నారు.
50 And I seeke not mine owne praise: but there is one that seeketh it, and iudgeth.
౫౦నేను నా పేరు ప్రతిష్టల కోసం వెతకడం లేదు. అలా వెదికే వాడూ, తీర్పు తీర్చే వాడూ వేరే ఉన్నాడు.
౫౧మీకు కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను. నా మాటలు అంగీకరించిన వాడు మరణం రుచి చూడడు” అని జవాబిచ్చాడు. (aiōn g165)
52 Then said the Iewes to him, Now know we that thou hast a deuill. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets: and thou sayest, If a man keepe my worde, he shall neuer taste of death. (aiōn g165)
౫౨అందుకు యూదులు, “నీకు దయ్యం పట్టిందని ఇప్పుడు మేము స్పష్టంగా తెలుసుకున్నాం. అబ్రాహామూ, ప్రవక్తలూ చనిపోయారు. ‘నా మాట విన్న వాడు మరణం రుచి చూడడు’ అని నువ్వు అంటున్నావు. (aiōn g165)
53 Art thou greater then our father Abraham, which is dead? and the Prophets are dead: whome makest thou thy selfe?
౫౩మన తండ్రి అబ్రాహాము చనిపోయాడు కదా! నువ్వు అతని కంటే గొప్పవాడివా? ప్రవక్తలూ చనిపోయారు. అసలు నువ్వు ఎవరినని చెప్పుకుంటున్నావు?” అని ఆయనను అడిగారు.
54 Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.
౫౪అందుకు యేసు, “నన్ను నేనే గౌరవించుకుంటే ఆ గౌరవం అంతా ఒట్టిది. ఎవరిని మా దేవుడు అని మీరు చెప్పుకుంటున్నారో ఆయనే నా తండ్రి. ఆయనే నన్ను మహిమ పరుస్తున్నాడు.
55 Yet ye haue not knowen him: but I knowe him, and if I should say I know him not, I should be a liar like vnto you: but I knowe him, and keepe his worde.
౫౫మీకు ఆయన ఎవరో తెలియదు. నాకు ఆయన తెలుసు. ఆయన ఎవరో నాకు తెలియదు అని నేను చెబితే మీలాగా నేనూ అబద్ధికుడిని అవుతాను. కానీ నాకు ఆయన తెలుసు. ఆయన మాటను నేను పాటిస్తాను.
56 Your father Abraham reioyced to see my day, and he sawe it, and was glad.
౫౬నా రోజును చూడడం మీ తండ్రి అబ్రాహాముకు సంతోషం. అతడు దాన్ని చూసి ఎంతో సంతోషించాడు” అన్నాడు.
57 Then sayd ye Iewes vnto him, Thou art not yet fiftie yeere olde, and hast thou seene Abraham?
౫౭అందుకు యూదులు, “నీకింకా యాభై సంవత్సరాలు కూడా లేవు. నువ్వు అబ్రాహామును చూశావా?” అన్నారు.
58 Iesus sayd vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, before Abraham was, I am.
౫౮దానికి జవాబుగా యేసు “మీతో కచ్చితంగా చెబుతున్నాను. అబ్రాహాము పుట్టక ముందు నుంచీ నేను ఉన్నాను” అన్నాడు.
59 Then tooke they vp stones, to cast at him, but Iesus hid himselfe, and went out of the Temple: And hee passed through the middes of them, and so went his way.
౫౯అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన మీద విసరడానికి రాళ్ళు తీశారు. కానీ యేసు దేవాలయంలో దాగి అక్కడనుంచి బయటకు వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
