John 8
1 And Iesus went vnto the mount of Oliues,
[नोटः यूहन्ना ७:५३-८:११ को टिप्पणीबारे माथि हेर्नुहोस्, येशू जैतून डाँडामा जानुभयो । ]
2 And early in the morning came againe into the Temple, and all the people came vnto him, and he sate downe, and taught them.
बिहानै सबेरै उहाँ फेरि मन्दिरमा आउनुभयो, र सबै मानिसहरू आए; उहाँ बस्नुभयो, र तिनीहरूलाई सिकाउनुभयो ।
3 Then the Scribes, and the Pharises brought vnto him a woman, taken in adulterie, and set her in the middes,
शास्त्री र फरिसीहरूले व्यभिचारको काममा पक्राउ परेकी एउटी स्त्री ल्याए । तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई बिचमा राखे ।
4 And said vnto him, Master, we foud this woman committing adulterie, euen in the very acte.
[नोटः यूहन्ना ७:५३-८:११ को टिप्णीबारे माथि हेर्नुहोस्], त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले येशूलाई भने, “गुरुज्यू, यो स्त्री व्यभिचारको काममा पक्राउ परेकी छे ।
5 Now Moses in our Law commanded, that such should be stoned: what sayest thou therefore?
व्यवस्थामा मोशाले यस्ता मानिसलाई ढुङ्गाले हान्ने आज्ञा दिएका छन्; यिनको विषयमा तपाईं के भन्नुहुन्छ?”
6 And this they saide to tempt him, that they might haue, whereof to accuse him. But Iesus stouped downe, and with his finger wrote on the groud.
तिनीहरूले येशूलाई फन्दामा पार्नलाई यसो भनेका थिए, ताकि तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई केही कुराको बारेमा दोष लगाउन सकून्, तर येशू निहुरेर आफ्नो औँलाले जमिनमा लेख्नुभयो ।
7 And while they continued asking him, hee lift himselfe vp, and sayde vnto them, Let him that is among you without sinne, cast the first stone at her.
[नोट यूहन्ना ७:५३-८:११ को टिप्णीबारे माथि हेर्नुहोस्], जब तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई निरन्तर सोधिरहे, उहाँ खडा हुनुभयो र तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूमध्ये पापविनाको जो छ ढुङ्गाले हान्नमा त्यही नै पहिलो होस् ।”
8 And againe hee stouped downe, and wrote on the ground.
उहाँ फेरि निहुरनुभयो र आफ्नो औँलाले जमिनमा लेख्नुभयो ।
9 And when they heard it, being accused by their owne conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at ye eldest euen to the last: so Iesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the mids.
[नोट यूहन्ना ७:५३-८:११ को टिप्णीबारे माथि हेर्नुहोस्], जब तिनीहरूले यो सुने, ठुलादेखि सुरु गरेर एक-एक गर्दै तिनीहरू गए । अन्तमा माझमा राखिएकी ती स्त्रीसँग येशू मात्र छोडिनुभएको थियो ।
10 When Iesus had lift vp himselfe againe, and sawe no man, but the woman, hee saide vnto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
येशू खडा हुनुभयो र त्यसलाई भन्नुभयो, “हे नारी, तिमीलाई दोष लगाउनेहरू कहाँ छन्? के कसैले तिमीलाई दण्ड दिएन?”
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Iesus said, Neither do I condemne thee: go and sinne no more.
त्यसले भनी, “कसैले दिएन, प्रभु” येशूले भन्नुभयो, “न त म पनि तिमीलाई दण्ड दिन्छु । जाऊ, र कुनै पाप नगर ।” ]
12 Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am that light of the worlde: hee that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenes, but shall haue that light of life.
फेरि येशूले तिनीहरूलाई यसो भन्नुभयो, “म संसारको ज्योति हुँ, मलाई पछ्याउने अन्धकारमा हिँड्डुल गर्नेछैन, तर त्यसले जीवनको ज्योति पाउनेछ ।”
13 The Pharises therefore saide vnto him, Thou bearest recorde of thy selfe: thy recorde is not true.
फरिसीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “तिमी आफैँ आफ्नो बारेमा गवाही दिइरहेका छौ; तिम्रो गवाही सत्य होइन ।”
14 Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, Though I beare recorde of my selfe, yet my recorde is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go: but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I goe.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, र भन्नुभयो, “म आफैँले आफ्नो बारेमा गवाही दिए तापनि मेरो गवाही सत्य छ । म जान्दछु, कि म कहाँबाट आएँ र म कहाँ जाँदै छु, तर म कहाँबाट आएँ र कहाँ जाँदै छु, तिमीहरू जान्दैनौ ।
15 Ye iudge after the flesh: I iudge no man.
तिमीहरू शरीरअनुसार न्याय गर्छौ, तर म कसैको न्याय गर्दिनँ ।
16 And if I also iudge, my iudgement is true: for I am not alone, but I, and the Father, that sent mee.
तैपनि मैले न्याय गरेँ भने मेरो न्याय सत्य हुन्छ, किनकि म एकलै छैनँ, तर म मलाई पठाउनुहुने पितासँग छु ।
17 And it is also written in your Lawe, that the testimonie of two men is true.
हो, दुई जना मानिसको गवाही सत्य हुन्छ भनी तिमीहरूको व्यवस्थामा लेखिएको छ ।
18 I am one that beare witnes of my selfe, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnes of me.
मेरो आफ्नैबारे गवाही दिने म नै हुँ, र मलाई पठाउनुहुने मेरा पिताले मेरो बारेमा गवाही दिनुहुन्छ ।”
19 Then saide they vnto him, Where is that Father of thine? Iesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor that Father of mine. If ye had knowen me, ye should haue knowen that Father of mine also.
तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “तिम्रा पिता कहाँ छन्?” येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “तिमीहरूले न मलाई न त मेरा पितालाई चिन्छौ, तिमीहरूले मलाई चिनेका थियौ भने तिमीहरूले मेरा पितालाई पनि चिनेका हुन्थ्यौ ।”
20 These wordes spake Iesus in the treasurie, as hee taught in the Temple, and no man layde handes on him: for his houre was not yet come.
उहाँले मन्दिरमा सिकाउनुहुँदा यी वचनहरू ढुकुटीमा भन्नुभयो र कसैले उहाँलाई पक्रेन, किनभने उहाँको समय अझै आएको थिएन ।
21 Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.
त्यसैले, उहाँले फेरि तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “म जाँदै छु; तिमीहरूले मलाई खोज्नेछौ । र तिमीहरूको पापमा मर्नेछौ । जहाँ म जाँदै छु, त्यहाँ तिमीहरू आउन सक्दैनौ ।”
22 Then said the Iewes, Will he kill himselfe, because he saith, Whither I goe, can ye not come?
यहूदीहरूले भने, “के यसले आफैँलाई मार्नेछ? के यसले त्यसैले ‘म जहाँ जाँदै छु, त्यहाँ तिमीहरू आउन सक्दैनौ’ भनेको हो?”
23 And hee saide vnto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from aboue: ye are of this world, I am not of this worlde.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरू तलका हौ, म माथिको हुँ । तिमीहरू यस संसारका हौ, म यस संसारको होइनँ ।
24 I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.
यसकारण म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, तिमीहरू आफ्नो पापमा नै मर्नेछौ, किनभने म उही हुँ भनी तिमीहरूले विश्वास नगरेसम्म तिमीहरू आफ्नो पापमा नै मर्नेछौ ।”
25 Then saide they vnto him, Who art thou? And Iesus saide vnto them, Euen the same thing that I said vnto you from the beginning.
यसकारण तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने “तिमी को हौ?” येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “मैले तिमीहरूलाई सुरुदेखि जे भनेको छु, म उही हुँ ।
26 I haue many things to say, and to iudge of you: but he that sent me, is true, and the things that I haue heard of him, those speake I to the world.
मैले तिमीहरूबारे भन्नु र न्याय गर्नु धेरै छ, तापनि मलाई पठाउनुहुने सत्य हनुहुन्छ, र मैले उहाँबाट सुनेका यी कुराहरू नै म संसारलाई भन्छु ।”
27 They vnderstoode not that hee spake to them of the Father.
उहाँले पिताको बारेमा कुरा गर्दै हुनुहुन्छ भनी तिनीहरूले बुझेनन् ।
28 Then said Iesus vnto them, When ye haue lift vp the Sonne of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I doe nothing of my selfe, but as my Father hath taught me, so I speake these things.
येशूले भन्नुभयो, “तिमीहरूले मानिसका पुत्रलाई माथि उचालेपछि म उही हुँ र म आफैँ केही पनि गर्दिनँ भन्ने तिमीहरूले जान्नेछौ । जसरी पिताले मलाई यी कुराहरू सिकाउनुभयो, त्यसरी नै म यी कुराहरू बोल्छु ।
29 For he that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone, because I do alwayes those things that please him.
मलाई पठाउनुहुने मसँग हुनुहुन्छ, र उहाँले मलाई एकलै छाड्नुभएको छैन, किनभने म सदैव उहाँलाई प्रसन्न पार्ने काम गर्छु ।”
30 As hee spake these thinges, many beleeued in him.
येशूले यी कुराहरू भन्दै गर्नुहुँदा धेरैले उहाँमा विश्वास गरे ।
31 Then saide Iesus to the Iewes which beleeued in him, If ye continue in my worde, ye are verely my disciples,
येशूले उहाँमा विश्वास गर्ने यहूदीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यदि तिमीहरू मेरो वचनमा रहिरह्यौ भने तिमीहरू साँच्चै मेरा चेलाहरू हौ;
32 And shall know the trueth, and the trueth shall make you free.
र तिमीहरूले सत्य जन्नेछौ, र सत्यले तिमीहरूलाई स्वतन्त्र पार्नेछ ।”
33 They answered him, Wee be Abrahams seede, and were neuer bonde to any man: why sayest thou then, Ye shalbe made free?
तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई जवाफ दिए, “हामी अब्राहामका सन्तानहरू हौँ र कहिल्यै कसैको दास भएका छैनौँ; ‘तिमीहरू स्वतन्त्र पारिनेछौ’ भनी तिमीले कसरी भन्न सक्छौ ।”
34 Iesus answered them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, that whosoeuer committeth sinne, is the seruant of sinne.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो, “साँचो, साँचो म तिमीहरूलाई भन्छु, प्रत्येक जसले पाप गर्छ, त्यो पापको दास हो ।
दास सधैँभरि घरमा रहँदैन, तर पुत्र भने सधैँभरि नै रहन्छ । (aiōn g165)
36 If that Sonne therefore shall make you free, ye shalbe free in deede.
यसकारण, पुत्रले तिमीहरूलाई स्वतन्त्र पार्यो भने तिमीहरू साँच्चै स्वतन्त्र हुनेछौ ।
37 I know that ye are Abrahams seede, but yee seeke to kill mee, because my worde hath no place in you.
म जान्दछु, कि तिमीहरू अब्राहामका सन्तानहरू हौ र तिमीहरू मलाई मार्न खोज्छौ, किनभने तिमीहरूमा मेरो वचनको निम्ति ठाउँ छैन ।
38 I speake that which I haue seene with my Father: and ye doe that which ye haue seene with your father.
मैले मेरा पितासँग जे देखेको छु म त्यही भन्छु, र तिमीहरू पनि तिमीहरूका पिताबाट जे सुनेका छौ त्यही गर्दछौ ।”
39 They answered, and saide vnto him, Abraham is our father. Iesus said vnto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye woulde doe the workes of Abraham.
तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई जवाफ दिए, र भने, “हाम्रा पिता अब्राहाम हुन् ।” येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यदि तिमीहरू अब्राहामका सन्तानहरू हुँदा हौ त, तिमीहरूले अब्राहामका कामहरू गर्ने थियौ ।
40 But nowe ye goe about to kill mee, a man that haue told you the trueth, which I haue heard of God: this did not Abraham.
तैपनि अहिले तिमीहरू मलाई अर्थात् तिमीहरूलाई परमेश्वरबाट सुनेको सत्य बताउने मानिसलाई मार्न खोज्दछौ । अब्राहामले यस्तो गरेनन् ।
41 Ye do the workes of your father. Then said they to him, We are not borne of fornication: we haue one Father, which is God.
तिमीहरू तिमीहरूका पिताका कामहरू गर्छौ ।” तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “हामीहरू व्यभिचारमा जन्मिएका थिएनौँ; हाम्रा एक पिता परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ ।”
42 Therefore Iesus sayde vnto them, If God were your Father, then woulde ye loue mee: for I proceeded foorth, and came from God, neither came I of my selfe, but he sent me.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “यदि परमेश्वर तिमीहरूका पिता हुनुहुन्थ्यो भने, तिमीहरूले मलाई प्रेम गर्ने थियौ, किनकि म परमेश्वरबाट आएँ, र यहाँ छु, म आफ्नै तर्फबाट आएको होइनँ, तर उहाँले मलाई पठाउनुभयो ।
43 Why doe ye not vnderstande my talke? because ye cannot heare my worde.
तिमीहरू मेरा वचनहरू किन बुझ्दैनौ? किनभने तिमीहरू मेरो वचन सुन्न सक्दैनौ ।
44 Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lustes of your father ye will doe: hee hath bene a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no trueth in him. When hee speaketh a lie, then speaketh hee of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
तिमीहरू आफ्ना पिता अर्थात् शैतानका हौ, र तिमीहरू तिमीहरूका पिताको इच्छा पुरा गर्ने इच्छा गर्छौ । त्यो सुरुदेखि नै हत्यारा थियो र त्यो सत्यमा खडा हुँदैन, किनकि त्यसमा सत्य छैन । जब त्यसले झुट बोल्छ, त्यो आफ्नै स्वभावबाट बोल्छ, किनकि त्यो झुट र झुटको पिता हो ।
45 And because I tell you the trueth, yee beleeue me not.
म सत्य बोल्छु, तापनि तिमीहरू मलाई विश्वास गर्दैनौ ।
46 Which of you can rebuke me of sinne? and if I say the trueth, why do ye not beleeue me?
तिमीहरूमध्ये कसले मलाई पापको दोष लगाउँछ? यदि म सत्य बोल्छु भने, तिमीहरू मलाई किन विश्वास गर्दैनौ?
47 He that is of God, heareth Gods wordes: yee therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
जो परमेश्वरको हो त्यसले परमेश्वरको वचन सुन्छ; तिमीहरू ती सुन्दैनौ, किनभने तिमीहरू परमेश्वरका होइनौ ।”
48 Then answered the Iewes, and said vnto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritane, and hast a deuil?
यहूदीहरूले जवाफ दिए, र उहाँलाई भने, “के ‘तिमी सामरी हौ, र तिमीलाई भूत लागेको छ’ भनी हामीले भनेको साँचो होइन र?”
49 Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me.
येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “मलाई भूत लागेको छैन, तर म मेरा पितालाई आदर गर्छु, र तिमीहरू मलाई अनादर गर्छौ ।
50 And I seeke not mine owne praise: but there is one that seeketh it, and iudgeth.
म आफ्नो महिमा खोज्दिनँ; खोज्ने र न्याय गर्ने एक जना हुनुहुन्छ ।
म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो, साँचो भन्दछु, यदि कसैले मेरो वचन पालना गर्छ भने, त्यसले कहिल्यै मृत्यु देख्नेछैन ।” (aiōn g165)
52 Then said the Iewes to him, Now know we that thou hast a deuill. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets: and thou sayest, If a man keepe my worde, he shall neuer taste of death. (aiōn g165)
यहूदीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “अब हामी जान्दछौँ, कि तिमीलाई भूत लागेको छ । अब्राहाम र अगमवक्ताहरू मरे, तर तिमी भन्छौ ‘यदि कसैले मेरो वचन पालन गर्छ भने त्यसले कहिल्यै मृत्यु चाख्नेछैन ।’ (aiōn g165)
53 Art thou greater then our father Abraham, which is dead? and the Prophets are dead: whome makest thou thy selfe?
तिमी हाम्रा मरेका पिता अब्राहामभन्दा महान् होइनौ, हौ त? अगमवक्ताहरू पनि मरे । तिमी आफैँचाहिँ को हुँ भनी ठान्छौ?”
54 Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.
येशूले जवाफ दिनुभयो, “यदि म आफैँले आफ्नो महिमा गरेँ भने मेरो महिमा केही पनि होइन । मलाई महिमित पार्नुहुने मेरा पिता हुनुहुन्छ, जसलाई तिमीहरू तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर भन्दछौ ।
55 Yet ye haue not knowen him: but I knowe him, and if I should say I know him not, I should be a liar like vnto you: but I knowe him, and keepe his worde.
तिमीहरूले उहाँलाई चिनेका छैनौ, तर म उहाँलाई चिन्छु । यदि मैले ‘म उहाँलाई चिन्दिनँ’ भन्छु भने म झुटजस्तै हुन्थेँ । तापनि म उहाँलाई चिन्दछु र उहाँको वचन पालन गर्दछु ।
56 Your father Abraham reioyced to see my day, and he sawe it, and was glad.
तिमीहरूका पिता अब्राहाम मेरा दिन देखेर रमाए र उनले यो देखे, र खुसी भए ।
57 Then sayd ye Iewes vnto him, Thou art not yet fiftie yeere olde, and hast thou seene Abraham?
यहूदीहरूले उहाँलाई भने, “तिमी पचास वर्ष पनि भएका छैनौ, र के तिमीले अब्राहामलाई देखेका छौ?”
58 Iesus sayd vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, before Abraham was, I am.
येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्नुभयो, “म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो, साँचो भन्दछु, अब्राहाम हुनुभन्दा अगिदेखि नै म छँदै छु ।”
59 Then tooke they vp stones, to cast at him, but Iesus hid himselfe, and went out of the Temple: And hee passed through the middes of them, and so went his way.
तब तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई हान्नलाई ढुङ्गा टिपे, तर येशू आफैँ लुक्नुभयो, र मन्दिरबाट बाहिर जानुभयो ।
