< John 7 >
1 After these things, Iesus walked in Galile, and woulde not walke in Iudea: for the Iewes sought to kill him.
Añe izay le nañavelo e Galilia ao t’Iesoà, f’ie tsy te homb’e Iehodà mb’eo amy te nipay hañè-doza ama’e o Tehodao.
2 Nowe the Iewes feast of the Tabernacles was at hande.
Nitotoke henane zay i sabadida-kivoho’ o Jiosioy,
3 His brethren therefore sayde vnto him, Depart hence, and goe into Iudea, that thy disciples may see thy woorkes that thou doest.
le hoe ty asa’ o rahalahi’eo ama’e: Isitaho ty eto, akia mb’e Iehodà añe, hahaoniña’ o mpiama’oo ka o fitoloñañe anoe’oo,
4 For there is no man that doeth any thing secretely, and hee himselfe seeketh to be famous. If thou doest these things, shewe thy selfe to the worlde.
amy te tsy mitoloñ’ añetake ze te ho fohiñe, fa am-palangesañe. Kanao manao o raha rezao irehe, le atrefo i valobohòkey.
5 For as yet his brethren beleeued not in him.
Toe tsy niantok’ aze ka o rahalahi’eo.
6 Then Iesus saide vnto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway readie.
Le hoe t’Iesoà am’ iareo: Mbe tsy tondroke ty androko, fe songa mete ama’ areo ze andro.
7 The world can not hate you: but me it hateth, because I testifie of it, that the workes thereof are euill.
Tsy eo ty halaiña’ ty voatse toy anahareo fa heje’e ka iraho mpanesek’ aze ty amy hatsivokara’ey.
8 Go ye vp vnto this feast: I wil not go vp yet vnto this feast: for my time is not yet fulfilled.
Mionjona mb’amy sabadidakey mb’eo, fe tsy homb’ amy famantañañey hey iraho amy te mbe tsy heneke o androkoo.
9 These things he sayde vnto them, and abode still in Galile.
Ie nanoa’e izay le nitambatse e Galilia ao.
10 But assoone as his brethren were gone vp, then went hee also vp vnto the feast, not openly, but as it were priuilie.
Aa naho fa nionjom-ban-tsabadidake mb’eo o rahalahi’eo, le nimb’eo ka re, fe tsy nisorogodañe fa niampitsàmpitse.
11 Then the Iewes sought him at the feast, and saide, Where is hee?
Nipay aze amy sabadidakey o Jiosio, ie nifanao ty hoe: Aia re?
12 And much murmuring was there of him among the people. Some said, He is a good man: other sayd, Nay: but he deceiueth the people.
Lako firehoreho ty ama’e i màroy: hoe ty ila’e: Vañoñe indatiy, hoe ka ty ila’e: Aiy! toe ampandridrihe’e ty màro.
13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for feare of the Iewes.
Fe tsy teo ty nahaboa-drehake aze ami’ty fihembañañe o Tehodao.
14 Nowe when halfe the feast was done, Iesus went vp into the Temple and taught.
Ie ho nivaky mira i sabadidakey, le nionjomb’ añ’ anjomban’ Añahare mb’eo t’Iesoà, nañoke.
15 And the Iewes marueiled, saving, Howe knoweth this man the Scriptures, seeing that hee neuer learned!
Nilatsà’ o Tehodao le nanao ty hoe: Taia ty nampahilala indatiy o sokitseo, ie tsy nianatse?
16 Iesus answered them, and saide, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
Tinoi’ Iesoà ty hoe: Tsy ahy o fañòhakoo, fa a i nañitrik’ ahiy.
17 If any man will doe his will, he shall knowe of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speake of my selfe.
Ie no’ ondatio ty hanao o satri’eo le ho rendre’e i fañòhañey ke hirik’ aman’ Añahare, he te ahy o volañekoo.
18 Hee that speaketh of himselfe, seeketh his owne glorie: but hee that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no vnrighteousnes is in him.
Mipay tsiriry ty mivolañe ty aze; f’ie mipay hañomey engeñe amy nañitrik’ azey ro to vaho tsy aman-kakeo.
19 Did not Moses giue you a Law, and yet none of you keepeth the lawe? Why goe ye about to kill me?
Tsy i Mosè hao ty nanolotse i Hake ama’ areo, fe tsy ama’areo ty mañorike i Hake? Akore t’ie mipay hampivetrak’ ahy?
20 The people answered, and said, Thou hast a deuil: who goeth about to kill thee?
Hoe ty natoi’ i màroy: Amañ’ anga-draty irehe, ia ze o mipay hañoho-doza ama’oo?
21 Iesus answered, and saide to them, I haue done one worke, and ye all maruaile.
Hoe t’Iesoà tam’ iereo: Nanao raha raike iraho, le hene latsa.
22 Moses therefore gaue vnto you circumcision, (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers) and ye on the Sabbath day circumcise a man.
Nimea’ i Mosè anahareo o savatseo (tsy t’ie hirik’ amy Mosè, fa boak’ aman-droae); vaho manavatse ondaty ami’ty Sabotse nahareo.
23 If a man on the Sabbath receiue circumcision, that the Lawe of Moses should not be broken, be ye angrie with me, because I haue made a man euery whit whole on the Sabbath day?
Aa naho savareñe ami’ty Sabata t’indaty tsy handilara’e ty Hà’ i Mosè; mahaviñetse anahareo hao te nampijangañeko fonitse ami’ty Sabata t’indaty?
24 Iudge not according to the appearance, but iudge righteous iudgement.
Ko mizaka ami’ty vinta’e, fa mizakà an-jaka tò.
25 Then saide some of them of Hierusalem, Is not this he, whom they goe about to kill?
Le hoe ty ila’ o nte Ierosalemeo: Tsy itoy hao i paia’ iereo ho vonoeñey?
26 And beholde, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing to him: doe the rulers know in deede that this is in deede that Christ?
Hehe t’ie milañoñe am-batraike eo fe tsy ivolaña’ iareo. Hera toe fohi’ o roandriañeo te ie ro toe i Norizañey?
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when that Christ commeth, no man shall knowe whence he is.
Fohintika ty nihirifa’ indatiy; aa ie avy i Norizañey, tsy ho fohi’ ondaty ty niboaha’e.
28 Then cried Iesus in the Temple as hee taught, saying, Ye both knowe mee, and knowe whence I am: yet am I not come of my selfe, but he that sent me, is true, whome ye knowe not.
Aa le nipoña-peo añ’anjomban’ Añahare ao t’Iesoà te nañoke, nanao ty hoe: Eka! Fohi’ areo iraho mbore rendre’ areo ty nihirifako; Tsy nañira-batan-dRaho, fe vañoñe i nañitrik’ Ahiy, i amoea’ areoy.
29 But I knowe him: for I am of him, and he hath sent me.
F’ie fantako, amy te hirik’ ama’e, ie ty nañirak’ ahy.
30 Then they sought to take him, but no man layde handes on him, because his houre was not yet come.
Nipay hitsepak’ aze iereo, fe tsy teo ty hahagaoñ’ aze ie mbe tsy nitondroke i ora’ey.
31 Now many of the people beleeued in him, and said, When that Christ commeth, will he doe moe miracles then this man hath done?
Le maro am’ ondatio ty niantok’ aze vaho nanao ty hoe: Ie totsake eo i Norizañey, hanao viloñe maro te amo nanoe’ itìañeo hao?
32 The Pharises heard that the people murmured these thinges of him, and the Pharises, and high Priestes sent officers to take him.
Jinanji’ o Fariseoo i nivesovesoe’ i màroy, le nañitrike mpifeleke hitsepak’ aze o mpisorom-beio naho o Fariseoo.
33 Then saide Iesus vnto them, Yet am I a little while with you, and then goe I vnto him that sent mee.
Le hoe ty nanoa’ Iesoà: Anianike avao iraho te ama’areo vaho hienga mb’amy nañirak’ ahiy añe.
34 Ye shall seeke me, and shall not finde me, and where I am, can ye not come.
Hipay ahy nahareo fe tsy hahaisake; toe tsy mete’ areo hombàñe ty hombako.
35 Then saide the Iewes amongs themselues, Whither will he goe, that we shall not finde him? Will he goe vnto them that are dispersed among the Grecians, and teache the Grecians?
Le hoe ty fifanaontsi’ o Tehodao: Aia ty homba’e te tsy ho trea-tika? Hera homb’ amo miparaitak’ amo Grika añeoo, hañòke o Grikao;
36 What saying is this that hee saide, Ye shall seeke mee, and shall not finde mee? and where I am, cannot ye come?
Inoñe i enta’e ty hoe: Ho paiae’ areo iraho, fa tsy ho isa’ areo; naho, Tsy lefe areo ombañe ty hombako?
37 Nowe in the last and great day of the feast, Iesus stoode and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come vnto me, and drinke.
Ie amy andro honka ra’elahi’ i sabadidakeiy, le niongake t’Iesoà nipazake ty hoe: Ampomb’ amako mb’etoa hikama rano ze taliñiereñe. Ze miato amako,
38 Hee that beleeueth in mee, as saith the Scripture, out of his bellie shall flowe riuers of water of life.
hoe i Tsara Masiñey, le higoangoañe boak’ añ’arofo’e ao ty rano veloñe.
39 (This spake hee of the Spirite which they that beleeued in him, should receiue: for the holy Ghost was not yet giuen, because that Iesus was not yet glorified.)
(i Arofo ho rambese’ o mpiato ama’eo i nitsarae’e zay, fe mboe tsy ie i Arofoy, amy te mbe tsy nirengèñe t’Iesoà.)
40 So many of the people, when they heard this saying, said, Of a trueth this is that Prophet.
Aa le maro amy lahialeñe nahajanjiñe i tsaray ro nanao ty hoe: Toe ie i Mpitokiy.
41 Other saide, This is that Christ: and some said, But shall that Christ come out of Galile?
Hoe ty ila’e: Ie i Norizañey, fa hoe ka ty ila’e: Ho hirike e Galilia añe hao i Norizañey?
42 Saith not the Scripture that that Christ shall come of the seede of Dauid, and out of the towne of Beth-leem, where Dauid was?
Tsy fa tsinara’ o Sokitse Masiñeo hao te ho hirik’ amo tiri’ i Davideo i Norizañey, naho ho boake Betleheme, rova’ i Davide?
43 So was there dissension among the people for him.
Aa le nifampiria ty ama’e ondatio.
44 And some of them would haue taken him, but no man layde handes on him.
Teo o te hitsepak’ azeo, f’ie tsy nipaoham-pitañe.
45 Then came the officers to the hie Priests and Pharises, and they said vnto them, Why haue ye not brought him?
Aa le nibalike mb’amo mpisorom-bey naho Fariseoo mb’eo o mpifelekeo, le hoe ty nanoa’ o beio: Akore t’ie tsy nasese’areo?
46 The officers answered, Neuer man spake like this man.
Le hoe ty natoi’ o mpifelekeo: Mbe lia’e tsy nahafilañoñe manahak’ indatiy t’indaty.
47 Then answered them the Pharises, Are yee also deceiued?
Le natoi’ o Fariseoo ty hoe: I nahareo ka hao ty nampandridrihe’e?
48 Doeth any of the rulers, or of the Pharises beleeue in him?
Ia amo roandriañeo naho amo Fariseoo ty miantok’ aze?
49 But this people, which know not the Law, are cursed.
Fokom-pàtse i màroy, amy te tsy apota’e t’i Hake.
50 Nicodemus said vnto them, (he that came to Iesus by night, and was one of them.)
Hoe t’i nanoa’ i Nikodemosy (i mpiam’ iareo nitilike Iesoà taoloy).
51 Doth our Law iudge a man before it heare him, and knowe what he hath done?
Mamàtse ondaty aolo’ te ijanjiñañe hahafohiñe i nanoe’ey hao i Han-tikañey?
52 They answered, and said vnto him, Art thou also of Galile? Searche and looke: for out of Galile ariseth no Prophet.
Natoi’ iereo ty hoe: Nte-Galilia ka v-iheo? Hotsohotsò naho oniño te tsy itroaram-pitoky ty Galilia.
53 And euery man wet vnto his owne house.
Le hene nimpoly mb’an-kiboho’e mb’eo.
