John 6
1 After these thinges, Iesus went his way ouer the sea of Galile, which is Tiberias.
Después de estas cosas, Jesús se fue al otro lado del mar de Galilea, es decir, el mar de Tiberias.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they sawe his miracles, which hee did on them that were diseased.
Y mucha gente lo siguió porque vieron los milagros que hizo a los que estaban enfermos.
3 Then Iesus went vp into a mountaine, and there he sate with his disciples.
Entonces Jesús subió al monte y se sentó allí con sus discípulos.
4 Now the Passeouer, a feast of the Iewes, was neere.
Ahora estaba cerca la Pascua, una fiesta de los judíos.
5 Then Iesus lift vp his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude came vnto him, hee sayde vnto Philippe, Whence shall we buy breade, that these might eate?
Levantando los ojos, Jesús vio a un gran número de personas que llegaban a donde él estaba, y dijo a Felipe: ¿Dónde podemos conseguir pan para toda esta gente?
6 (And this he sayde to prooue him: for hee himselfe knewe what he would doe.)
Esto dijo, poniéndolo a prueba, porque no tenía dudas de lo que él mismo haría.
7 Philippe answered him, Two hundreth penie worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that euery one of them may take a litle.
Felipe respondió: Pan, por el valor de doscientos denarios, no sería suficiente ni siquiera para darles a todos un poco.
8 Then saide vnto him one of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peters brother,
Uno de sus discípulos, Andrés, el hermano de Simón Pedro, le dijo a Jesús:
9 There is a little boy heere, which hath fiue barlie loaues, and two fishes: but what are they among so many?
Aquí hay un niño con cinco panes de cebada y dos pescados: ¿pero qué es eso entre tantos?
10 And Iesus saide, Make ye people sit downe. (Nowe there was much grasse in that place.) Then the men sate downe in nomber, about fiue thousande.
Jesús dijo: Deja que la gente se siente. Ahora había mucha hierba en ese lugar. Y los que estaban sentados en el pasto eran como cinco mil.
11 And Iesus tooke the bread, and gaue thanks, and gaue to the disciples, and the disciples, to them that were set downe: and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
Entonces Jesús tomó los panes y, habiendo alabado a Dios, los dio a las personas que estaban sentadas, y los pescados de la misma manera, todo los que tenían necesidad.
12 And when they were satisfied, he said vnto his disciples, Gather vp the broken meat which remaineth, that nothing be lost.
Y cuando hubieron tenido suficiente, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: Toma los trozos que han sobrado, para que no se desperdicie nada.
13 Then they gathered it together, and filled twelue baskets with the broken meat of the fiue barly loaues, which remained vnto them that had eaten.
Así que sobró: doce cestos llenos de trozos extras de los cinco panes que habían terminado después de que la gente había comido lo suficiente.
14 Then the men, when they had seene the miracle that Iesus did, saide, This is of a trueth that Prophet that should come into the world.
Cuando el pueblo vio el milagro que había hecho, dijeron: Verdaderamente, este es el profeta que ha de venir al mundo.
15 When Iesus therfore perceiued that they would come, and take him to make him a King, hee departed againe into a mountaine himselfe alone.
Cuando Jesús vio que el pueblo iba a venir y tomarlo por la fuerza para hacerlo rey, se fue solo a la montaña.
16 When euen was nowe come, his disciples went downe vnto the sea,
Cuando llegó la noche, los discípulos descendieron al mar;
17 And entred into a shippe, and went ouer the sea, towardes Capernaum: and nowe it was darke, and Iesus was not come to them.
Y tomaron una barca y cruzaron el mar en dirección a Capernaúm. Para entonces estaba oscuro y todavía Jesús no había venido a ellos.
18 And the Sea arose with a great winde that blewe.
El mar se estaba agitado debido a un fuerte viento que soplaba.
19 And when they had rowed about fiue and twentie, or thirtie furlongs, they sawe Iesus walking on the sea, and drawing neere vnto the ship: so they were afraide.
Después de haber recorrido cinco o seis kilómetros, vieron a Jesús caminando sobre el mar y acercándose a la barca; y tenían gran temor.
20 But he said vnto them, It is I: be not afraid.
Pero él les dijo: Soy yo, no teman.
21 Then willingly they receiued him into the ship, and the ship was by and by at the lande, whither they went.
Entonces lo llevaron rápidamente a la barca; y de inmediato la barca estaba en la tierra a la que iban.
22 The day following, the people which stoode on the other side of the sea, saw that there was none other ship there, saue that one, whereinto his disciples were entred, and that Iesus went not with his disciples in the ship, but that his disciples were gone alone,
Al día siguiente, la gente que estaba al otro lado del mar vio que solo había una pequeña barca, que Jesús no había subido en esa barca con los discípulos, sino que los discípulos se habían ido solos.
23 And that there came other ships from Tiberias neere vnto the place where they ate the bread, after the Lord had giuen thankes.
Algunos otros barcos, sin embargo, vinieron de Tiberias cerca del lugar donde habían tomado el pan después de que el Señor había dado gracias.
24 Nowe when the people sawe that Iesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also tooke shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Iesus.
Entonces cuando la gente vio que Jesús no estaba allí, o sus discípulos, subieron a esos barcos y fueron a Capernaum en busca de Jesús.
25 And when they had founde him on the other side of the sea, they sayde vnto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
Y cuando se encontraron con él al otro lado del mar, dijeron: Maestro, ¿cuándo viniste aquí?
26 Iesus answered them; and sayde, Verely, verely I say vnto you, ye seeke me not because ye sawe the miracles, but because yee ate of ye loaues, and were filled.
Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: De cierto les digo, que vienen en pos de mí, no porque han visto milagros, sino porque les fue dado el pan y comieron hasta llenar.
27 Labour not for ye meate which perisheth, but for the meate that endureth vnto euerlasting life, which the Sonne of man shall giue vnto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (aiōnios g166)
No sea tu trabajo por la comida que llega a su fin, sino por la comida que continúa para la vida eterna, que el Hijo del Hombre te dará, porque a él Dios el Padre le ha puesto su marca. (aiōnios g166)
28 Then sayde they vnto him, What shall we doe, that we might worke the workes of God?
Entonces ellos le dijeron: ¿Cómo podemos hacer las obras de Dios?
29 Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, This is the woorke of God, that yee beleeue in him, whome he hath sent.
Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Esto es hacer la obra de Dios: que crean en aquel a quien Dios ha enviado.
30 They sayde therefore vnto him, What signe shewest thou then, that we may see it, and beleeue thee? what doest thou woorke?
Entonces ellos dijeron: ¿Qué señal nos das, para que podamos verte y tener fe en ti? ¿Qué haces?
31 Our fathers did eate Manna in the desart, as it is written, Hee gaue them bread from heauen to eate.
Nuestros padres tenían el maná en la tierra baldía, como dicen las Escrituras, les dio pan del cielo.
32 Then Iesus said vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Moses gaue you not that bread from heauen, but my Father giueth you that true bread from heauen.
Entonces Jesús les dijo: En verdad les digo que lo que Moisés les dio no era el pan del cielo; es mi Padre quien te da el verdadero pan del cielo.
33 For the breade of God is hee which commeth downe from heauen, and giueth life vnto the world.
El pan de Dios es el pan que desciende del cielo y da vida al mundo.
34 Then they said vnto him, Lord, euermore giue vs this bread.
¡ Ah, Señor, dijeron, danos ese pan para siempre!
35 And Iesus saide vnto them, I am that bread of life: he that commeth to me, shall not hunger, and he that beleeueth in me, shall neuer thirst.
Y esta fue la respuesta de Jesús: Yo soy el pan de vida. El que viene a mí nunca tendrá necesidad de alimento, y el que tiene fe en mí nunca tendrá sed otra vez.
36 But I said vnto you, that ye also haue seene me, and beleeue not.
Pero es como les dije: me han visto, y todavía no tienen fe.
37 All that the Father giueth me, shall come to mee: and him that commeth to me, I cast not away.
Todo lo que el Padre me da, vendrá a mí; y no rechazaré a nadie que venga a mí.
38 For I came downe from heauen, not to do mine owne wil, but his wil which hath sent me.
Porque he descendido del cielo, no para hacer mi voluntad, sino el placer del que me envió.
39 And this is the Fathers will which hath sent mee, that of all which hee hath giuen mee, I should lose nothing, but shoulde raise it vp againe at the last day.
Y este es el placer del que me envió, que no debo soltar de mi mano todo lo que él me ha dado, sino que debo darle nueva vida en el último día.
40 And this is the will of him that sent mee, that euery man which seeth the Sonne, and beleeueth in him, should haue euerlasting life: and I will raise him vp at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
Esto, digo, es la complacencia de mi Padre, que todo el que ve al Hijo y cree en él, tenga vida eterna; y yo lo resucitaré en el último día. (aiōnios g166)
41 The Iewes then murmured at him because hee sayde, I am that bread, which is come downe from heauen.
Entonces los judíos empezaron a criticar a Jesús por las palabras que dijo: Yo soy el pan que descendió del cielo.
42 And they said, Is not this Iesus that sonne of Ioseph, whose father and mother wee knowe? howe then sayth he, I came downe from heauen?
Y dijeron: ¿No es éste Jesús, el hijo de José, cuyo padre y madre hemos visto? ¿Cómo es que ahora él dice: “He descendido del cielo”?
43 Iesus then answered, and saide vnto them, Murmure not among your selues.
Respondió Jesús y dijo: No digan cosas contra mí, los unos a los otros.
44 No man can come to mee, except the Father, which hath sent mee, drawe him: and I will raise him vp at the last day.
Nadie puede venir a mí si el Padre que me envió no le da el deseo de venir; y yo lo resucitaré de entre los muertos en el último día.
45 It is written in the Prophetes, And they shalbe al taught of God. Euery man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, commeth vnto me:
Las Escrituras de los profetas dicen: Y todos recibirán enseñanzas de Dios. Todos los que tienen oídos abiertos a la enseñanza del Padre vienen a mí.
46 Not that any man hath seene the Father, saue hee which is of God, hee hath seene the Father.
No es que alguien haya visto al Padre alguna vez; solo el que es de Dios, él ha visto al Padre.
En verdad les digo, el que tiene fe en mí tiene vida eterna. (aiōnios g166)
48 I am that bread of life.
Yo soy el pan de la vida.
49 Your fathers did eate Manna in the wildernesse, and are dead.
Tus padres comieron el maná en la tierra baldía, y están muertos.
50 This is that breade, which commeth downe from heauen, that hee which eateth of it, shoulde not die.
El pan que viene del cielo es tal que un hombre puede tomarlo como alimento y nunca ver la muerte.
51 I am that liuing breade, which came downe from heauen: if any man eate of this breade, hee shall liue for euer: and the bread that I will giue, is my flesh, which I will giue for the life of the world. (aiōn g165)
Yo soy el pan vivo que ha venido del cielo; si alguno toma este pan para comer, tendrá vida para siempre; y más que esto, el pan que yo daré es mi carne, la cual yo daré por la vida del mundo. (aiōn g165)
52 Then the Iewes stroue among themselues, saying, Howe can this man giue vs his flesh to eate?
Entonces los judíos se enojaron entre sí, diciendo: ¿Cómo es posible que este hombre nos dé su carne para comer?
53 Then Iesus saide vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, Except yee eate the flesh of the Sonne of man, and drinke his blood, yee haue no life in you.
Entonces Jesús les dijo: En verdad les digo, que si no toman la carne del Hijo del Hombre para comer, y si no toman su sangre para beber, no tienes vida en ustedes.
54 Whosoeuer eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternall life, and I will raise him vp at the last day. (aiōnios g166)
El que toma de comer mi carne y bebe mi sangre, tiene vida eterna; y yo lo resucitaré de entre los muertos en el día final. (aiōnios g166)
55 For my flesh is meat in deede, and my blood is drinke in deede.
Mi carne es verdadera comida y mi sangre es verdadera bebida.
56 Hee that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
El que toma mi carne por alimento y mi sangre por beber, está en mí y yo en él.
57 As that liuing Father hath sent me, so liue I by the Father, and he that eateth me, euen he shall liue by me.
Como me envió el Padre viviente, y yo tengo vida por el Padre, así también el que me toma por su alimento tendrá vida por mí.
58 This is that bread which came downe from heauen: not as your fathers haue eaten Manna, and are deade. Hee that eateth of this bread, shall liue for euer. (aiōn g165)
Este es el pan que descendió del cielo. No es como la comida que tuvieron sus padres: tomaron del maná, y están muertos; pero el que toma este pan como alimento tendrá vida para siempre. (aiōn g165)
59 These things spake he in the Synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
Jesús dijo estas cosas en la sinagoga mientras enseñaba en Capernaúm.
60 Many therefore of his disciples (when they heard this) sayde, This is an hard saying: who can heare it?
Entonces, al oír esto, algunos de sus discípulos dijeron: Esta es una palabra difícil; ¿Quién puede asimilar esa enseñanza?
61 But Iesus knowing in himselfe, that his disciples murmured at this, saide vnto them, Doeth this offend you?
Cuando Jesús se dio cuenta de que sus discípulos protestaban por lo que dijo, les dijo: ¿Esto les da problemas?
62 What then if yee should see that Sonne of man ascend vp where he was before?
¿Qué van a decir si ven al Hijo del hombre subiendo a donde estaba antes?
63 It is the spirite that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing: the woordes that I speake vnto you, are spirite and life.
El espíritu es el dador de vida; la carne no tiene ningún valor: las palabras que te he dicho son espíritu y son vida.
64 But there are some of you that beleeue not: for Iesus knewe from the beginning, which they were that beleeued not, and who shoulde betray him.
Pero aún algunos de ustedes no tienen fe. Porque estaba claro para Jesús desde el principio quiénes eran los que no tenían fe, y quién era quién lo traicionaría.
65 And hee saide, Therefore saide I vnto you, that no man can come vnto mee, except it be giuen vnto him of my Father.
Y él dijo: Por eso te dije: Ningún hombre puede venir a mí si el Padre no le da el poder de hacerlo.
66 From that time, many of his disciples went backe, and walked no more with him.
Por lo que dijo, varios de los discípulos regresaron y dejaron de seguirlo.
67 Then sayde Iesus to the twelue, Will yee also goe away?
Entonces Jesús dijo a los doce: ¿Desean irse?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Master, to whome shall we goe? thou hast the wordes of eternall life: (aiōnios g166)
Entonces Simón Pedro dio esta respuesta: Señor, ¿a quién vamos a ir? Tu tienes las palabras de la vida eterna; (aiōnios g166)
69 And we beleeue and knowe that thou art that Christ that Sonne of the liuing God.
Y tenemos fe y estamos seguros de que eres el Santo de Dios.
70 Iesus answered them, Haue not I chosen you twelue, and one of you is a deuill?
Entonces Jesús dijo: ¿No hice yo una selección de ustedes, los doce, y uno de ustedes es un hijo del Maligno?
71 Now he spake it of Iudas Iscariot the sonne of Simon: for hee it was that shoulde betraie him, though he was one of the twelue.
Él estaba hablando de Judas, el hijo de Simón Iscariote. Era él que iba a traicionar a Jesús, uno de los doce.
