John 3
1 There was nowe a man of the Pharises, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Iewes.
Între farisei era un om cu numele Nicodim, un conducător al iudeilor;
2 This man came to Iesus by night, and sayd vnto him, Rabbi, we knowe ye thou art a teacher come from God: for no man could do these miracles that thou doest, except God were with him.
Acesta a venit la Isus noaptea și i-a spus: Rabi, știm că ești un învățător venit de la Dumnezeu; fiindcă nimeni nu poate face miracolele acestea pe care le faci tu, decât dacă Dumnezeu este cu el.
3 Iesus answered, and said vnto him, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except a man be borne againe, he can not see the kingdome of God.
Isus a răspuns și i-a zis: Adevărat, adevărat îți spun: Dacă un om nu este născut din nou, nu poate vedea împărăția lui Dumnezeu.
4 Nicodemus sayde vnto him, Howe can a man be borne which is olde? can he enter into his mothers wombe againe, and be borne?
Nicodim i-a spus: Cum se poate naște un om, fiind bătrân? Poate să intre a doua oară în pântecele mamei sale și să se nască?
5 Iesus answered, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except that a man be borne of water and of the Spirite, hee can not enter into the kingdome of God.
Isus a răspuns: Adevărat, adevărat îți spun: Dacă cineva nu este născut din apă și din Duh, nu poate intra în împărăția lui Dumnezeu.
6 That which is borne of the flesh, is flesh: and that that is borne of the Spirit, is spirit.
Ce este născut din carne este carne; și ce este născut din Duhul este duh.
7 Marueile not that I said to thee, Yee must be borne againe.
Nu te minuna că ți-am spus: Trebuie să fiți născuți din nou.
8 The winde bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it commeth, and whither it goeth: so is euery man that is borne of the Spirit.
Vântul suflă încotro voiește și auzi sunetul lui, dar nu poți spune de unde vine, nici încotro merge; tot așa este oricine care este născut din Duhul.
9 Nicodemus answered, and said vnto him, Howe can these things be?
Nicodim a răspuns și i-a zis: Cum pot fi acestea?
10 Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Isus a răspuns și i-a zis: Tu ești învățător al lui Israel și nu știi acestea?
11 Verely, verely I say vnto thee, wee speake that we know, and testifie that we haue seene: but yee receiue not our witnesse.
Adevărat, adevărat îți spun: Vorbim ceea ce știm și aducem mărturie ce am văzut, dar nu primiți mărturia noastră.
12 If when I tel you earthly things, ye beleeue not, howe should yee beleeue, if I shall tel you of heauenly things?
Dacă v-am spus lucruri pământești și nu credeți, cum veți crede dacă vă voi spune lucruri cerești?
13 For no man ascendeth vp to heauen, but he that hath descended from heauen, that Sonne of man which is in heauen.
Și nimeni nu s-a urcat în cer, decât cel ce s-a coborât din cer, Fiul omului, care este în cer.
14 And as Moses lift vp the serpent in the wildernesse, so must that Sonne of man be lift vp,
Și așa cum Moise a înălțat șarpele în pustie, tot așa trebuie să fie înălțat Fiul omului;
Pentru ca oricine crede în el să nu piară, ci să aibă viață eternă. (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loued the worlde, that hee hath giuen his onely begotten Sonne, that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
Fiindcă atât de mult a iubit Dumnezeu lumea, că a dat pe singurul său Fiu născut, ca oricine crede în el, să nu piară, ci să aibă viață veșnică. (aiōnios g166)
17 For God sent not his Sonne into the world, that he should condemne the world, but that the world through him might be saued.
Fiindcă Dumnezeu nu l-a trimis pe Fiul său în lume ca să condamne lumea, ci pentru ca lumea să fie salvată prin el.
18 Hee that beleeueth in him, is not condemned: but hee that beleeueth not, is condemned already, because he hath not beleeued in the Name of that onely begotten Sonne of God.
Cine crede în el, nu este condamnat; dar cine nu crede este deja condamnat, pentru că nu a crezut în numele singurului Fiu născut al lui Dumnezeu.
19 And this is the condemnation, that that light came into the worlde, and men loued darknesse rather then that light, because their deedes were euill.
Iar condamnarea este aceasta, că lumina a venit în lume și oamenii au iubit mai mult întunericul decât lumina, pentru că faptele lor erau rele.
20 For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.
Fiindcă oricine practică răul urăște lumina și nu vine la lumină, ca nu cumva să i se mustre faptele;
21 But he that doeth trueth, commeth to the light, that his deedes might bee made manifest, that they are wrought according to God.
Dar cel ce face adevărul vine la lumină, ca să îi fie arătate faptele, pentru că sunt lucrate în Dumnezeu.
22 After these things, came Iesus and his disciples into the lande of Iudea, and there taried with them, and baptized.
După acestea, Isus și discipolii lui au venit în ținutul Iudeii și stătea acolo cu ei și boteza.
23 And Iohn also baptized in Enon besides Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
Și Ioan de asemenea boteza în Enon, aproape de Salim, pentru că acolo era multă apă; și ei veneau și erau botezați.
24 For Iohn was not yet cast into prison.
Fiindcă Ioan încă nu fusese aruncat în închisoare.
25 Then there arose a question betweene Iohns disciples and the Iewes, about purifying.
Între unii dintre discipolii lui Ioan și iudei s-a iscat atunci o întrebare despre curățire.
26 And they came vnto Iohn, and saide vnto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Iorden, to whom thou barest witnesse, behold, he baptizeth, and all men come to him.
Și au venit la Ioan și i-au spus: Rabi, cel ce era cu tine dincolo de Iordan și căruia i-ai adus mărturie, iată, acesta botează și toți vin la el.
27 Iohn answered, and saide, A man can receiue nothing, except it be giuen him from heauen.
Ioan a răspuns și a zis: Un om nu poate primi nimic decât dacă îi este dat din cer.
28 Yee your selues are my witnesses, that I sayde, I am not that Christ, but that I am sent before him.
Voi înșivă îmi aduceți mărturie că am spus: Nu sunt eu Cristosul, ci sunt trimis înaintea lui.
29 He that hath the bride, is the bridegrome: but the friend of the bridegrome which standeth and heareth him, reioyceth greatly, because of the bridegromes voyce. This my ioy therefore is fulfilled.
Cine are mireasa, este mirele; dar prietenul mirelui, care stă în picioare și îl aude, se bucură foarte mult de vocea mirelui; de aceea această bucurie a mea este împlinită.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
El trebuie să crească, dar eu să mă micșorez.
31 Hee that is come from an hie, is aboue all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth: hee that is come from heauen, is aboue all.
Cel ce vine de sus este mai presus de toți; cel ce este din pământ, este pământesc și vorbește din ale pământului; cel ce vine din cer este deasupra tuturor.
32 And what hee hath seene and heard, that he testifieth: but no man receiueth his testimonie.
Și ce a văzut și a auzit, aceasta aduce ca mărturie, dar nimeni nu primește mărturia lui.
33 He that hath receiued his testimonie, hath sealed that God is true.
Cel ce a primit mărturia lui a sigilat că Dumnezeu este adevărat.
34 For hee whome God hath sent, speaketh the woordes of God: for God giueth him not the Spirit by measure.
Fiindcă acela, pe care l-a trimis Dumnezeu, vorbește cuvintele lui Dumnezeu; fiindcă Dumnezeu nu îi dă Duhul cu măsură.
35 The Father loueth the Sonne, and hath giuen all things into his hande.
Tatăl iubește pe Fiul și a dat toate în mâna lui.
36 Hee that beleeueth in the Sonne, hath euerlasting life, and hee that obeyeth not the Sonne, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
Cel ce crede în Fiul, are viață veșnică; dar cel ce nu crede în Fiul, nu va vedea viața, ci furia lui Dumnezeu rămâne peste el. (aiōnios g166)
