John 3
1 There was nowe a man of the Pharises, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Iewes.
Karon adunay usa ka Pariseo nga ginganlan ug Nicodemo, usa ka pangulo sa mga Judio.
2 This man came to Iesus by night, and sayd vnto him, Rabbi, we knowe ye thou art a teacher come from God: for no man could do these miracles that thou doest, except God were with him.
Kining tawhana miadto kang Jesus sa pagkagabii ug miingon kaniya, “Rabbi, nasayod kami nga ikaw usa ka magtutudlo nga naggikan sa Dios kay walay tawo nga makahimo niining mga timaan nga imong gihimo gawas kon ang Dios uban kaniya.”
3 Iesus answered, and said vnto him, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except a man be borne againe, he can not see the kingdome of God.
Si Jesus mitubag kaniya, “Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, gawas kon ang tawo dili matawo pag-usab, dili siya makakita sa gingharian sa Dios.”
4 Nicodemus sayde vnto him, Howe can a man be borne which is olde? can he enter into his mothers wombe againe, and be borne?
Miingon si Nicodemo kaniya, “Unsaon man sa usa ka tawo nga matawo pag-usab kung tigulang na siya? Dili siya makasulod ngadto sa tago-angkan sa iyang inahan sa ikaduhang higayon ug matawo pag-usab, makahimo ba siya?”
5 Iesus answered, Verely, verely I say vnto thee, except that a man be borne of water and of the Spirite, hee can not enter into the kingdome of God.
Si Jesus mitubag, “Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, gawas kon ang usa ka tawo dili matawo diha sa tubig ug sa Espiritu, dili siya makahimo sa pagsulod ngadto sa gingharian sa Dios.
6 That which is borne of the flesh, is flesh: and that that is borne of the Spirit, is spirit.
Kay kadtong natawo sa unod, unod usab, ug kadtong natawo sa Espiritu, espiritu usab.
7 Marueile not that I said to thee, Yee must be borne againe.
Ayaw katingala nga miingon ako kanimo, 'Kinahanglan nimong matawo pag-usab.'
8 The winde bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it commeth, and whither it goeth: so is euery man that is borne of the Spirit.
Ang hangin mohuros sa bisan asa niya buot mopadulong; madunggan nimo ang tingog niini, apan wala ikaw masayod diin kini gikan o diin kini padulong. Sama usab sa tanan nga natawo diha sa Espiritu.”
9 Nicodemus answered, and said vnto him, Howe can these things be?
Si Nicodemo mitubag ug miingon kaniya, “Giunsa man kining mga butanga?”
10 Iesus answered, and saide vnto him, Art thou a teacher of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Si Jesus mitubag ug miingon kaniya, “Di ba usa ikaw ka magtutudlo sa Israel, apan wala ka makasabot niining mga butanga?
11 Verely, verely I say vnto thee, wee speake that we know, and testifie that we haue seene: but yee receiue not our witnesse.
Sa pagkatinuod, sa pagkatinuod, ako mosulti kanimo, nagsulti kami kung unsa ang among nahibaw-an, ug nagpamatuod mahitungod sa unsa ang among nakita. Apan wala ikaw midawat sa among pagpamatuod.
12 If when I tel you earthly things, ye beleeue not, howe should yee beleeue, if I shall tel you of heauenly things?
Kung nagsulti ako kanimo mahitungod sa kalibotanong mga butang, unya wala ka mituo, unsaon man nimo pagtuo kung magsulti ako kanimo mahitungod sa langitnong mga butang?
13 For no man ascendeth vp to heauen, but he that hath descended from heauen, that Sonne of man which is in heauen.
Walay bisan usa nga nikayab ngadto sa langit gawas kaniya nga nikanaog gikan sa langit: ang Anak sa Tawo.
14 And as Moses lift vp the serpent in the wildernesse, so must that Sonne of man be lift vp,
Sama nga gipataas ni Moises ang sungkod nga bitin ngadto sa kamingawan, busa gikinahanglan usab nga mapataas ang Anak sa Tawo,
aron nga ang tanang motuo kaniya makaangkon ug kinabuhing walay kataposan. (aiōnios g166)
16 For God so loued the worlde, that hee hath giuen his onely begotten Sonne, that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
Kay gihigugma pag-ayo sa Dios ang kalibotan, nga iyang gihatag ang bugtong niyang Anak, nga bisan kinsa ang motuo kaniya dili mamatay apan makabaton ug kinabuhing walay kataposan. (aiōnios g166)
17 For God sent not his Sonne into the world, that he should condemne the world, but that the world through him might be saued.
Kay wala gipadala sa Dios ang iyang Anak ngadto sa kalibotan aron sa pagsilot sa kalibotan, apan aron luwason ang kalibotan pinaagi kaniya.
18 Hee that beleeueth in him, is not condemned: but hee that beleeueth not, is condemned already, because he hath not beleeued in the Name of that onely begotten Sonne of God.
Siya nga motuo kaniya dili silotan, apan siya nga dili motuo gisilotan na tungod kay wala man niya tuohi ang ngalan sa bugtong Anak sa Dios.
19 And this is the condemnation, that that light came into the worlde, and men loued darknesse rather then that light, because their deedes were euill.
Mao kini ang hinungdan alang sa paghukom: Ang kahayag miabot sa kalibotan, ug ang mga tawo nahigugma sa kangitngit kaysa kahayag tungod kay daotan ang ilang mga binuhatan.
20 For euery man that euill doeth, hateth the light, neither commeth to light, least his deedes should be reprooued.
Kay ang tanan nga naghimo ug daotan nasilag sa kahayag ug dili moadto sa kahayag aron dili mapadayag ang ilang mga binuhatan.
21 But he that doeth trueth, commeth to the light, that his deedes might bee made manifest, that they are wrought according to God.
Apan, siya nga nagbuhat sa kamatuoran moadto sa kahayag aron nga ang iyang mga binuhatan, nga natuman diha sa Dios, mahimong mapadayag.”
22 After these things, came Iesus and his disciples into the lande of Iudea, and there taried with them, and baptized.
Human niini, si Jesus ug ang iyang mga disipulo miadto didto sa yuta sa Judea. Didto naghatag siya ug pipila ka panahon uban kanila ug nangbawtismo.
23 And Iohn also baptized in Enon besides Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
Karon si Juan nangbawtismo usab sa Aenon nga duol sa Salim tungod adunay mas daghang tubig didto. Miadto ang mga tawo ngadto kaniya ug gipangbawtismohan sila,
24 For Iohn was not yet cast into prison.
kay si Juan wala pa man gitambog sa prisohan.
25 Then there arose a question betweene Iohns disciples and the Iewes, about purifying.
Unya adunay namugna nga panaglalis taliwala sa pipila ka mga disipulo ni Juan ug usa ka Judio mahitungod sa seremonyas sa paghugas.
26 And they came vnto Iohn, and saide vnto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Iorden, to whom thou barest witnesse, behold, he baptizeth, and all men come to him.
miadto sila kang Juan ug miingon kaniya, “Rabbi, siya nga uban kanimo sa lain nga bahin sa Suba sa Jordan, mahitungod kaniya nga imong gipamatud-an, tan-awa, nangbawtismo siya, ug nagpadulong silang tanan ngadto kaniya.”
27 Iohn answered, and saide, A man can receiue nothing, except it be giuen him from heauen.
Si Juan mitubag, “Ang usa ka tawo dili makadawat ug bisan unsa gawas kon gihatag kini kaniya gikan sa langit.
28 Yee your selues are my witnesses, that I sayde, I am not that Christ, but that I am sent before him.
Kamo mismo makapamatuod nga ako miingon, “Dili ako si Cristo' apan hinuon, 'Ako gipadala ug una kaniya.'
29 He that hath the bride, is the bridegrome: but the friend of the bridegrome which standeth and heareth him, reioyceth greatly, because of the bridegromes voyce. This my ioy therefore is fulfilled.
Ang pangasaw-onon nasakop ngadto sa pamanhunon. Karon ang higala sa pamanhunon, nga nagtindog ug nakadungog kaniya, naglipay pag-ayo tungod sa tingog sa pamanhunon. Unya, mao kini ang naghingpit sa akong kalipay.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Kinahanglan siya mopataas, apan kinahanglan ako mokunhod.
31 Hee that is come from an hie, is aboue all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth: hee that is come from heauen, is aboue all.
Siya nga gikan sa langit labaw sa tanan. Siya nga iya sa kalibotan gikan sa kalibotan ug nagsulti mahitungod sa kalibotan. Siya nga gikan sa langit labaw sa tanan.
32 And what hee hath seene and heard, that he testifieth: but no man receiueth his testimonie.
Nagpamatuod siya mahitungod sa unsa ang iyang nakita ug nadungog, apan walay nidawat sa iyang pagpamatuod.
33 He that hath receiued his testimonie, hath sealed that God is true.
Siya nga midawat sa iyang pagpamatuod niuyon nga ang Dios matuod.
34 For hee whome God hath sent, speaketh the woordes of God: for God giueth him not the Spirit by measure.
Kay siya nga gipadala sa Dios nagsulti sa mga pulong sa Dios. Kay walay sukdanan ang iyang gihatag nga Espiritu.
35 The Father loueth the Sonne, and hath giuen all things into his hande.
Ang Amahan nahigugma sa Anak ug naghatag sa tanang mga butang ngadto sa iyang mga kamot.
36 Hee that beleeueth in the Sonne, hath euerlasting life, and hee that obeyeth not the Sonne, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. (aiōnios g166)
Siya nga motuo sa Anak adunay kinabuhing walay kataposan, apan ang nisupak sa Anak dili makakita sa kinabuhi, apan ang kapungot sa Dios magpabilin diha kaniya.” (aiōnios g166)
