John 19
1 Then Pilate tooke Iesus and scourged him.
பீலாதோ யீஸு²ம் ஆநீய கஸ²யா ப்ராஹாரயத்|
2 And the souldiers platted a crowne of thornes, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple garment,
பஸ்²சாத் ஸேநாக³ண: கண்டகநிர்ம்மிதம்’ முகுடம்’ தஸ்ய மஸ்தகே ஸமர்ப்ய வார்த்தாகீவர்ணம்’ ராஜபரிச்ச²த³ம்’ பரிதா⁴ப்ய,
3 And saide, Haile, King of the Iewes. And they smote him with their roddes.
ஹே யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜந் நமஸ்கார இத்யுக்த்வா தம்’ சபேடேநாஹந்தும் ஆரப⁴த|
4 Then Pilate went foorth againe, and said vnto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may knowe, that I finde no fault in him at all.
ததா³ பீலாத: புநரபி ப³ஹிர்க³த்வா லோகாந் அவத³த், அஸ்ய கமப்யபராத⁴ம்’ ந லபே⁴(அ)ஹம்’, பஸ்²யத தத்³ யுஷ்மாந் ஜ்ஞாபயிதும்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ப³ஹிரேநம் ஆநயாமி|
5 Then came Iesus foorth wearing a crowne of thornes, and a purple garment. And Pilate said vnto them, Beholde the man.
தத: பரம்’ யீஸு²: கண்டகமுகுடவாந் வார்த்தாகீவர்ணவஸநவாம்’ஸ்²ச ப³ஹிராக³ச்ச²த்| தத: பீலாத உக்தவாந் ஏநம்’ மநுஷ்யம்’ பஸ்²யத|
6 Then when the hie Priests and officers sawe him, they cried, saying, Crucifie, crucifie him. Pilate said vnto them, Take yee him and crucifie him: for I finde no fault in him.
ததா³ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா: பதா³தயஸ்²ச தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா, ஏநம்’ க்ருஸே² வித⁴, ஏநம்’ க்ருஸே² வித⁴, இத்யுக்த்வா ரவிதும்’ ஆரப⁴ந்த| தத: பீலாத: கதி²தவாந் யூயம்’ ஸ்வயம் ஏநம்’ நீத்வா க்ருஸே² வித⁴த, அஹம் ஏதஸ்ய கமப்யபராத⁴ம்’ ந ப்ராப்தவாந்|
7 The Iewes answered him, We haue a lawe, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himselfe the Sonne of God.
யிஹூதீ³யா: ப்ரத்யவத³ந் அஸ்மாகம்’ யா வ்யவஸ்தா²ஸ்தே தத³நுஸாரேணாஸ்ய ப்ராணஹநநம் உசிதம்’ யதோயம்’ ஸ்வம் ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய புத்ரமவத³த்|
8 When Pilate then heard that woorde, he was the more afraide,
பீலாத இமாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா மஹாத்ராஸயுக்த:
9 And went againe into the common hall, and saide vnto Iesus, Whence art thou? But Iesus gaue him none answere.
ஸந் புநரபி ராஜக்³ரு’ஹ ஆக³த்ய யீஸு²ம்’ ப்ரு’ஷ்டவாந் த்வம்’ குத்ரத்யோ லோக: ? கிந்து யீஸ²ஸ்தஸ்ய கிமபி ப்ரத்யுத்தரம்’ நாவத³த்|
10 Then saide Pilate vnto him, Speakest thou not vnto me? Knowest thou not that I haue power to crucifie thee, and haue power to loose thee?
தத: பீலாத் கதி²தவாந த்வம்’ கிம்’ மயா ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ந ஸம்’லபிஷ்யஸி? த்வாம்’ க்ருஸே² வேதி⁴தும்’ வா மோசயிதும்’ ஸ²க்தி ர்மமாஸ்தே இதி கிம்’ த்வம்’ ந ஜாநாஸி? ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரேணாத³ம்’ மமோபரி தவ கிமப்யதி⁴பதித்வம்’ ந வித்³யதே, ததா²பி யோ ஜநோ மாம்’ தவ ஹஸ்தே ஸமார்பயத் தஸ்ய மஹாபாதகம்’ ஜாதம்|
11 Iesus answered, Thou couldest haue no power at all against me, except it were giuen thee from aboue: therefore he that deliuered me vnto thee, hath the greater sinne.
ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவத³த்³ ஈஸ்²வரேணாத³த்தம்’ மமோபரி தவ கிமப்யதி⁴பதித்வம்’ ந வித்³யதே, ததா²பி யோ ஜநோ மாம்’ தவ ஹஸ்தே ஸமார்பயத் தஸ்ய மஹாபாதகம்’ ஜாதம்|
12 From thence foorth Pilate sought to loose him, but the Iewes cried, saying, If thou deliuer him, thou art not Cesars friende: for whosoeuer maketh himselfe a King, speaketh against Cesar.
ததா³ரப்⁴ய பீலாதஸ்தம்’ மோசயிதும்’ சேஷ்டிதவாந் கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யா ருவந்தோ வ்யாஹரந் யதீ³மம்’ மாநவம்’ த்யஜஸி தர்ஹி த்வம்’ கைஸரஸ்ய மித்ரம்’ ந ப⁴வஸி, யோ ஜந: ஸ்வம்’ ராஜாநம்’ வக்தி ஸஏவ கைமரஸ்ய விருத்³தா⁴ம்’ கதா²ம்’ கத²யதி|
13 When Pilate heard this woorde, hee brought Iesus foorth, and sate downe in the iudgement seate in a place called the Pauement, and in Hebrewe, Gabbatha.
ஏதாம்’ கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா பீலாதோ யீஸு²ம்’ ப³ஹிராநீய நிஸ்தாரோத்ஸவஸ்ய ஆஸாத³நதி³நஸ்ய த்³விதீயப்ரஹராத் பூர்வ்வம்’ ப்ரஸ்தரப³ந்த⁴நநாம்நி ஸ்தா²நே (அ)ர்தா²த் இப்³ரீயபா⁴ஷயா யத்³ க³ப்³பி³தா² கத்²யதே தஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²நே விசாராஸந உபாவிஸ²த்|
14 And it was the Preparation of the Passeouer, and about the sixt houre: and hee sayde vnto the Iewes, Beholde your King.
அநந்தரம்’ பீலாதோ யிஹூதீ³யாந் அவத³த், யுஷ்மாகம்’ ராஜாநம்’ பஸ்²யத|
15 But they cried, Away with him, away with him, crucifie him. Pilate sayde vnto them, Shall I crucifie your King? The high Priestes answered, We haue no King but Cesar.
கிந்து ஏநம்’ தூ³ரீகுரு, ஏநம்’ தூ³ரீகுரு, ஏநம்’ க்ருஸே² வித⁴, இதி கதா²ம்’ கத²யித்வா தே ரவிதும் ஆரப⁴ந்த; ததா³ பீலாத: கதி²தவாந் யுஷ்மாகம்’ ராஜாநம்’ கிம்’ க்ருஸே² வேதி⁴ஷ்யாமி? ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா உத்தரம் அவத³ந் கைஸரம்’ விநா கோபி ராஜாஸ்மாகம்’ நாஸ்தி|
16 Then deliuered he him vnto them, to be crucified. And they tooke Iesus, and led him away.
தத: பீலாதோ யீஸு²ம்’ க்ருஸே² வேதி⁴தும்’ தேஷாம்’ ஹஸ்தேஷு ஸமார்பயத், ததஸ்தே தம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா நீதவந்த: |
17 And he bare his owne crosse, and came into a place named of dead mens Skulles, which is called in Hebrewe, Golgotha:
தத: பரம்’ யீஸு²: க்ருஸ²ம்’ வஹந் ஸி²ர: கபாலம் அர்தா²த்³ யத்³ இப்³ரீயபா⁴ஷயா கு³ல்க³ல்தாம்’ வத³ந்தி தஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²ந உபஸ்தி²த: |
18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Iesus in the middes.
ததஸ்தே மத்⁴யஸ்தா²நே தம்’ தஸ்யோப⁴யபார்ஸ்²வே த்³வாவபரௌ க்ருஸே²(அ)வித⁴ந்|
19 And Pilate wrote also a title, and put it on the crosse, and it was written, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWES.
அபரம் ஏஷ யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜா நாஸரதீயயீஸு²: , இதி விஜ்ஞாபநம்’ லிகி²த்வா பீலாதஸ்தஸ்ய க்ருஸோ²பரி ஸமயோஜயத்|
20 This title then read many of the Iewes: for the place where Iesus was crucified, was neere to the citie: and it was written in Hebrewe, Greeke and Latine.
ஸா லிபி: இப்³ரீயயூநாநீயரோமீயபா⁴ஷாபி⁴ ர்லிகி²தா; யீஸோ²: க்ருஸ²வேத⁴நஸ்தா²நம்’ நக³ரஸ்ய ஸமீபம்’, தஸ்மாத்³ ப³ஹவோ யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தாம்’ படி²தும் ஆரப⁴ந்த|
21 Then saide the hie Priests of the Iewes to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Iewes, but that he sayd, I am King of the Iewes.
யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகா: பீலாதமிதி ந்யவேத³யந் யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜேதி வாக்யம்’ ந கிந்து ஏஷ ஸ்வம்’ யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ராஜாநம் அவத³த்³ இத்த²ம்’ லிக²து|
22 Pilate answered, What I haue written, I haue written.
தத: பீலாத உத்தரம்’ த³த்தவாந் யல்லேக²நீயம்’ தல்லிகி²தவாந்|
23 Then the souldiers, when they had crucified Iesus, tooke his garments (and made foure partes, to euery souldier a part) and his coat: and the coat was without seame wouen from the toppe throughout.
இத்த²ம்’ ஸேநாக³ணோ யீஸு²ம்’ க்ருஸே² விதி⁴த்வா தஸ்ய பரிதே⁴யவஸ்த்ரம்’ சதுரோ பா⁴கா³ந் க்ரு’த்வா ஏகைகஸேநா ஏகைகபா⁴க³ம் அக்³ரு’ஹ்லத் தஸ்யோத்தரீயவஸ்த்ரஞ்சாக்³ரு’ஹ்லத்| கிந்தூத்தரீயவஸ்த்ரம்’ ஸூசிஸேவநம்’ விநா ஸர்வ்வம் ஊதம்’|
24 Therefore they sayde one to another, Let vs not deuide it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be. This was that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which sayth, They parted my garments among them, and on my coate did cast lots. So the souldiers did these things in deede.
தஸ்மாத்தே வ்யாஹரந் ஏதத் க: ப்ராப்ஸ்யதி? தந்ந க²ண்ட³யித்வா தத்ர கு³டிகாபாதம்’ கரவாம| விப⁴ஜந்தே(அ)த⁴ரீயம்’ மே வஸநம்’ தே பரஸ்பரம்’| மமோத்தரீயவஸ்த்ரார்த²ம்’ கு³டிகாம்’ பாதயந்தி ச| இதி யத்³வாக்யம்’ த⁴ர்ம்மபுஸ்தகே லிகி²தமாஸ்தே தத் ஸேநாக³ணேநேத்த²ம்’ வ்யவஹரணாத் ஸித்³த⁴மப⁴வத்|
25 Then stoode by the crosse of Iesus his mother, and his mothers sister, Marie the wife of Cleopas, and Marie Magdalene.
ததா³நீம்’ யீஸோ² ர்மாதா மாது ர்ப⁴கி³நீ ச யா க்லியபா பா⁴ர்ய்யா மரியம் மக்³த³லீநீ மரியம் ச ஏதாஸ்தஸ்ய க்ருஸ²ஸ்ய ஸந்நிதௌ⁴ ஸமதிஷ்ட²ந்|
26 And when Iesus sawe his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loued, he said vnto his mother, Woman, beholde thy sonne.
ததோ யீஸு²: ஸ்வமாதரம்’ ப்ரியதமஸி²ஷ்யஞ்ச ஸமீபே த³ண்டா³யமாநௌ விலோக்ய மாதரம் அவத³த், ஹே யோஷித்³ ஏநம்’ தவ புத்ரம்’ பஸ்²ய,
27 Then saide he to the disciple, Beholde thy mother: and from that houre, the disciple tooke her home vnto him.
ஸி²ஷ்யந்த்வவத³த், ஏநாம்’ தவ மாதரம்’ பஸ்²ய| தத: ஸ ஸி²ஷ்யஸ்தத்³க⁴டிகாயாம்’ தாம்’ நிஜக்³ரு’ஹம்’ நீதவாந்|
28 After, when Iesus knew that all things were performed, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, I thirst.
அநந்தரம்’ ஸர்வ்வம்’ கர்ம்மாது⁴நா ஸம்பந்நமபூ⁴த் யீஸு²ரிதி ஜ்ஞாத்வா த⁴ர்ம்மபுஸ்தகஸ்ய வசநம்’ யதா² ஸித்³த⁴ம்’ ப⁴வதி தத³ர்த²ம் அகத²யத் மம பிபாஸா ஜாதா|
29 And there was set a vessell full of vineger: and they filled a spondge with vineger: and put it about an Hyssope stalke, and put it to his mouth.
ததஸ்தஸ்மிந் ஸ்தா²நே அம்லரஸேந பூர்ணபாத்ரஸ்தி²த்யா தே ஸ்பஞ்ஜமேகம்’ தத³ம்லரஸேநார்த்³ரீக்ரு’த்ய ஏஸோப்³நலே தத்³ யோஜயித்வா தஸ்ய முக²ஸ்ய ஸந்நிதா⁴வஸ்தா²பயந்|
30 Nowe when Iesus had receiued of the vineger, he saide, It is finished, and bowed his head, and gaue vp the ghost.
ததா³ யீஸு²ரம்லரஸம்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வா ஸர்வ்வம்’ ஸித்³த⁴ம் இதி கதா²ம்’ கத²யித்வா மஸ்தகம்’ நமயந் ப்ராணாந் பர்ய்யத்யஜத்|
31 The Iewes then (because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remaine vpon the crosse on the Sabbath day: for that Sabbath was an hie day) besought Pilate that their legges might be broken, and that they might be taken downe.
தத்³விநம் ஆஸாத³நதி³நம்’ தஸ்மாத் பரே(அ)ஹநி விஸ்²ராமவாரே தே³ஹா யதா² க்ருஸோ²பரி ந திஷ்ட²ந்தி, யத: ஸ விஸ்²ராமவாரோ மஹாதி³நமாஸீத், தஸ்மாத்³ யிஹூதீ³யா: பீலாதநிகடம்’ க³த்வா தேஷாம்’ பாத³ப⁴ஞ்ஜநஸ்ய ஸ்தா²நாந்தரநயநஸ்ய சாநுமதிம்’ ப்ரார்த²யந்த|
32 Then came the souldiers and brake the legges of the first, and of the other, which was crucified with Iesus.
அத: ஸேநா ஆக³த்ய யீஸு²நா ஸஹ க்ருஸே² ஹதயோ: ப்ரத²மத்³விதீயசோரயோ: பாதா³ந் அப⁴ஞ்ஜந்;
33 But when they came to Iesus, and saw that he was dead alreadie, they brake not his legges.
கிந்து யீஸோ²: ஸந்நிதி⁴ம்’ க³த்வா ஸ ம்ரு’த இதி த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா தஸ்ய பாதௌ³ நாப⁴ஞ்ஜந்|
34 But one of the souldiers with a speare pearced his side, and foorthwith came there out blood and water.
பஸ்²சாத்³ ஏகோ யோத்³தா⁴ ஸூ²லாகா⁴தேந தஸ்ய குக்ஷிம் அவித⁴த் தத்க்ஷணாத் தஸ்மாத்³ ரக்தம்’ ஜலஞ்ச நிரக³ச்ச²த்|
35 And he that sawe it, bare recorde, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might beleeue it.
யோ ஜநோ(அ)ஸ்ய ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ த³தா³தி ஸ ஸ்வயம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்டவாந் தஸ்யேத³ம்’ ஸாக்ஷ்யம்’ ஸத்யம்’ தஸ்ய கதா² யுஷ்மாகம்’ விஸ்²வாஸம்’ ஜநயிதும்’ யோக்³யா தத் ஸ ஜாநாதி|
36 For these things were done, that the Scripture shoulde be fulfilled, Not a bone of him shalbe broken.
தஸ்யைகம் அஸ்த்⁴யபி ந ப⁴ம்’க்ஷ்யதே,
37 And againe an other Scripture saith, They shall see him whom they haue thrust through.
தத்³வத்³ அந்யஸா²ஸ்த்ரேபி லிக்²யதே, யதா², "த்³ரு’ஷ்டிபாதம்’ கரிஷ்யந்தி தே(அ)வித⁴ந் யந்து தம்ப்ரதி| "
38 And after these things, Ioseph of Arimathea (who was a disciple of Iesus, but secretly for feare of the Iewes) besought Pilate that he might take downe the bodie of Iesus. And Pilate gaue him licence. He came then and tooke Iesus body.
அரிமதீ²யநக³ரஸ்ய யூஷப்²நாமா ஸி²ஷ்ய ஏக ஆஸீத் கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யேப்⁴யோ ப⁴யாத் ப்ரகாஸி²தோ ந ப⁴வதி; ஸ யீஸோ² ர்தே³ஹம்’ நேதும்’ பீலாதஸ்யாநுமதிம்’ ப்ரார்த²யத, தத: பீலாதேநாநுமதே ஸதி ஸ க³த்வா யீஸோ² ர்தே³ஹம் அநயத்|
39 And there came also Nicodemus (which first came to Iesus by night) and brought of myrrhe and aloes mingled together about an hundreth pound.
அபரம்’ யோ நிகதீ³மோ ராத்ரௌ யீஸோ²: ஸமீபம் அக³ச்ச²த் ஸோபி க³ந்த⁴ரஸேந மிஸ்²ரிதம்’ ப்ராயேண பஞ்சாஸ²த்ஸேடகமகு³ரும்’ க்³ரு’ஹீத்வாக³ச்ச²த்|
40 Then tooke they the body of Iesus, and wrapped it in linnen clothes with the odours, as the maner of the Iewes is to burie.
ததஸ்தே யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நே ஸ்தா²பநரீத்யநுஸாரேண தத்ஸுக³ந்தி⁴த்³ரவ்யேண ஸஹிதம்’ தஸ்ய தே³ஹம்’ வஸ்த்ரேணாவேஷ்டயந்|
41 And in that place where Iesus was crucified, was a garden, and in the garden a newe sepulchre, wherein was neuer man yet laid.
அபரஞ்ச யத்ர ஸ்தா²நே தம்’ க்ருஸே²(அ)வித⁴ந் தஸ்ய நிகடஸ்தோ²த்³யாநே யத்ர கிமபி ம்ரு’ததே³ஹம்’ கதா³பி நாஸ்தா²ப்யத தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம் ஏகம்’ நூதநம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நம் ஆஸீத்|
42 There then laide they Iesus, because of the Iewes Preparation day, for the sepulchre was neere.
யிஹூதீ³யாநாம் ஆஸாத³நதி³நாக³மநாத் தே தஸ்மிந் ஸமீபஸ்த²ஸ்²மஸா²நே யீஸு²ம் அஸா²யயந்|
