John 17
1 These things spake Iesus, and lift vp his eyes to heauen, and saide, Father, that houre is come: glorifie thy Sonne, that thy Sonne also may glorifie thee,
૧ઈસુએ એ વાતો કહ્યાં પછી સ્વર્ગ તરફ પોતાની આંખો ઊંચી કરીને કહ્યું કે, ‘પિતા, સમય આવ્યો છે; તમે તમારા દીકરાને મહિમાવાન કરો, જેથી દીકરો તમને મહિમાવાન કરે.
2 As thou hast giuen him power ouer all flesh, that he shoulde giue eternall life to all them that thou hast giuen him. (aiōnios g166)
૨કેમ કે તે સર્વ માણસો પર તમે અધિકાર આપ્યો છે કે, જે સર્વ તમે તેને આપ્યાં છે તેઓને તે અનંતજીવન આપે. (aiōnios g166)
3 And this is life eternall, that they knowe thee to be the onely very God, and whom thou hast sent, Iesus Christ. (aiōnios g166)
૩અનંતજીવન એ છે કે તે તમને એકલાને, સત્ય ઈશ્વરને તથા ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તને કે જેને તેમણે મોકલ્યો છે તેને ઓળખે. (aiōnios g166)
4 I haue glorified thee on the earth: I haue finished the worke which thou gauest me to doe.
૪જે કામ કરવાનું તમે મને સોંપ્યું હતું તે પૂરું કરીને મેં તમને પૃથ્વી પર મહિમાવાન કર્યાં છે.
5 And nowe glorifie me, thou Father, with thine owne selfe, with the glorie which I had with thee before the world was.
૫હવે, ઓ પિતા, સૃષ્ટિની ઉત્પત્તિ અગાઉ તમારી સાથે જે મહિમા હું ભોગવતો હતો તેથી તમે હમણાં પોતાની સાથે મને મહિમાવાન કરો.
6 I haue declared thy Name vnto the men which thou gauest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gauest them me, and they haue kept thy worde.
૬માનવજગતમાંથી જે માણસો તમે મને આપ્યાં છે, તેઓને મેં તમારું નામ પ્રગટ કર્યું છે; તેઓ તમારાં હતાં, તેઓને તમે મને આપ્યાં છે; અને તેઓએ તમારાં વચન પાળ્યા છે.
7 Nowe they knowe that all things whatsoeuer thou hast giuen me, are of thee.
૭હવે તેઓ જાણે છે કે જે જે તમે મને આપ્યાં છે, તે સર્વ તમારા તરફથી જ છે.
8 For I haue giuen vnto them the wordes which thou gauest me, and they haue receiued them, and haue knowen surely that I came out from thee, and haue beleeued that thou hast sent me.
૮કેમ કે જે વાતો તમે મને કહેલી હતી તે મેં તેઓને કહી છે; અને તેઓએ તે સ્વીકારી છે; અને હું તમારી પાસેથી આવ્યો છું, એ તેઓએ નિશ્ચે જાણ્યું છે, તમે મને મોકલ્યો છે, એવો વિશ્વાસ તેઓએ કર્યો છે.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the worlde, but for them which thou hast giuen me: for they are thine.
૯જેઓએ વિશ્વાસ કર્યો છે તેઓને માટે હું પ્રાર્થના કરું છું; માનવજગતને સારું હું પ્રાર્થના કરતો નથી, પણ જેઓને તમે મને આપ્યાં છે તેઓને માટે; કેમ કે તેઓ તમારાં છે;
10 And al mine are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them.
૧૦જે બધા મારાં તે તમારા છે અને જે તમારા તે મારાં છે; હું તેઓમાં મહિમાવાન થયો છું.
11 And nowe am I no more in the world, but these are in the worlde, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keepe them in thy Name, euen them whome thou hast giuen mee, that they may bee one, as we are.
૧૧હું લાંબા સમય સુધી દુનિયામાં નથી, પણ તેઓ આ દુનિયામાં છે અને હું તમારી પાસે આવું છું. ઓ પવિત્ર પિતા, તમારું નામ જે તમે મને આપ્યું છે, તેમાં તેઓને પણ આપણા જેવા એક થવા માટે સંભાળી રાખો.
12 While I was with them in the worlde, I kept them in thy Name: those that thou gauest me, haue I kept, and none of them is lost, but the childe of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
૧૨હું તેઓની સાથે જગતમાં હતો ત્યાં સુધી તમારું નામ જે તમે મને આપ્યું છે તેમાં મેં તેઓને સંભાળી રાખ્યાં; અને મેં તેઓનું રક્ષણ કર્યું છે શાસ્ત્રવચનો પૂરા થાય માટે વિનાશના દીકરા સિવાય તેઓમાંના કોઈનો વિનાશ થયો નહિ.
13 And now come I to thee, and these things speake I in the worlde, that they might haue my ioy fulfilled in themselues.
૧૩હવે હું તમારી પાસે આવું છું; ‘તેઓમાં મારો આનંદ સંપૂર્ણ થાય,’ માટે હું આ બાબતો દુનિયામાં કહું છું.
14 I haue giuen them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.
૧૪તમારાં વચનો મેં તેઓને આપ્યાં છે; માનવજગતે તેઓનો દ્વેષ કર્યો છે કેમ કે જેમ હું જગતનો નથી તેમ તેઓ આ જગતના નથી.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou keepe them from euill.
૧૫તમે તેઓને દુનિયામાંથી લઈ લો એવી પ્રાર્થના હું કરતો નથી, પણ તમે તેઓને દુષ્ટથી દૂર રાખો.
16 They are not of the worlde, as I am not of the world.
૧૬જેમ હું જગતનો નથી, તેમ તેઓ આ જગતના નથી.
17 Sanctifie them with thy trueth: thy word is trueth.
૧૭સત્યથી તેઓને પવિત્ર કરો; તમારું વચન સત્ય છે.
18 As thou diddest send me into the world, so haue I sent them into the world.
૧૮જેમ તમે મને દુનિયામાં મોકલ્યો છે, તેમ મેં પણ તેઓને દુનિયામાં મોકલ્યા છે.
19 And for their sakes sanctifie I my selfe, that they also may bee sanctified through the trueth.
૧૯તેઓ પોતે પણ સત્યથી પવિત્ર થાય માટે તેઓને સારું હું પોતાને પવિત્ર કરું છું.
20 I praie not for these alone, but for them also which shall beleeue in mee, through their woorde,
૨૦વળી હું એકલો તેઓને માટે નહિ, પણ તેઓની વાતથી જેઓ મારા પર વિશ્વાસ કરશે, તેઓને માટે પણ પ્રાર્થના કરું છું કે,
21 That they all may bee one, as thou, O Father, art in me, and I in thee: euen that they may be also one in vs, that the worlde may beleeue that thou hast sent me.
૨૧તેઓ બધા એક થાય. ઓ પિતા, જેમ તમે મારામાં અને હું તમારામાં, તેમ તેઓ પણ આપણામાં થાય, જેથી માનવજગત વિશ્વાસ કરે કે તમે મને મોકલ્યો છે.
22 And the glory that thou gauest me, I haue giuen them, that they may be one, as we are one,
૨૨જે મહિમા તમે મને આપ્યો છે તે મેં તેઓને આપ્યો છે, જેથી જેવા આપણે એક છીએ તેમ તેઓ પણ એક થાય;
23 I in them, and thou in mee, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the worlde may knowe that thou hast sent mee, and hast loued them, as thou hast loued me.
૨૩એટલે હું તેઓમાં અને તમે મારામાં થાઓ જેથી તેઓ સંપૂર્ણ રીતે એક કરાય, એ સારું કે માનવજગત સમજે કે તમે મને મોકલ્યો છે અને જેમ તમે મારા પર પ્રેમ કર્યો છે તેમ તેઓના પર પણ પ્રેમ કર્યો છે.
24 Father, I will that they which thou hast giuen me, be with me euen where I am, that they may beholde that my glorie, which thou hast giuen mee: for thou louedst me before the foundation of the world.
૨૪હે પિતા, હું એવું ઇચ્છું છું કે, જ્યાં હું છું ત્યાં જેઓને તમે મને આપ્યાં છે તેઓ પણ મારી પાસે રહે, જેથી તેઓ મારો મહિમા જુએ, કે જે તમે મને આપ્યો છે; કેમ કે સૃષ્ટિનો પાયો નંખાયા અગાઉ તમે મારા પર પ્રેમ કર્યો હતો.
25 O righteous Father, the worlde also hath not knowen thee, but I haue knowen thee, and these haue knowen, that thou hast sent me.
૨૫ઓ ન્યાયી પિતા, માનવજગતે તો તમને ઓળખ્યા નથી; પણ મેં તમને ઓળખ્યા છે; અને તમે મને મોકલ્યો છે, એમ તેઓએ જાણ્યું છે;
26 And I haue declared vnto the thy Name, and will declare it, that the loue wherewith thou hast loued me, may be in them, and I in them.
૨૬મેં તેઓને તમારું નામ જણાવ્યું છે; અને જણાવીશ; એ માટે કે, જે પ્રેમથી તમે મારા પર પ્રેમ રાખ્યો છે તે તેઓમાં રહે અને હું તેઓમાં રહું.’”
