John 16

1 These thinges haue I saide vnto you, that ye should not be offended.

“ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ବିଘ୍ନ ନ ପାଅ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଅଛି।

2 They shall excommunicate you: yea, the time shall come, that whosoeuer killeth you, will thinke that he doeth God seruice.

ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାଜଗୃହରୁ ବାହାର କରିବେ, ହଁ, ଏପରି ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯେ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଉପାସନାରୂପ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି ମନେ କରିବ।

3 And these things will they doe vnto you, because they haue not knowen ye Father, nor me.

ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ଏହାସବୁ କରିବେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ କିମ୍ବା ମୋତେ ଜାଣି ନାହାନ୍ତି।

4 But these things haue I tolde you, that when the houre shall come, ye might remember, that I tolde you them. And these things said I not vnto you from ye beginning, because I was with you.

ମାତ୍ର ଏସମସ୍ତ ଘଟିବାର ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ, ମୁଁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥିଲି, ଏହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ମରଣ କର, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛି। ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥିବାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲି ନାହିଁ।”

5 But now I go my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

“କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଅଛ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ମୋତେ ପଚାରୁ ନାହଁ।

6 But because I haue saide these thinges vnto you, your hearts are full of sorowe.

ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଦୁଃଖରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଅଛି।

7 Yet I tell you the trueth, It is expedient for you that I goe away: for if I goe not away, that Comforter will not come vnto you: but if I depart, I will send him vnto you.

କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ମୋହର ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରିବାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ ନ କଲେ ସେହି ସାହାଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ଗଲେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଦେବି।

8 And when he is come, he will reproue the worlde of sinne, and of righteousnesse, and of iudgement.

ସେ ଆସି ପାପ, ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ବିଚାର ବିଷୟରେ ଜଗତକୁ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦେବେ;

9 Of sinne, because they beleeued not in me:

ପାପ ବିଷୟରେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ;

10 Of righteousnesse, because I goe to my Father, and ye shall see me no more:

ଧାର୍ମିକତା ବିଷୟରେ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ;

11 Of iudgement, because the prince of this world is iudged.

ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ବିଷୟରେ କାରଣ ଏହି ଜଗତର ଅଧିପତି ବିଚାରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।

12 I haue yet many things to say vnto you, but ye cannot beare them nowe.

ମୋହର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହୁରି ଅନେକ କଥା କହିବାର ଅଛି, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ସେହିସବୁ ସହି ପାର ନାହିଁ।

13 Howbeit, when he is come which is the Spirit of trueth, he will leade you into all trueth: for he shall not speake of himselfe, but whatsoeuer he shall heare, shall he speake, and he will shew you the things to come.

କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍‍, ସତ୍ୟମୟ ଆତ୍ମା ଆସିଲେ ସେ ପଥ ଦେଖାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ସତ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରାଇବେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣାଠାରୁ କଥା କହିବେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଯାହା ଯାହା ଶୁଣିବେ, ସେହିସବୁ କହିବେ, ପୁଣି, ଆଗାମୀ ବିଷୟସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ।

14 He shall glorifie me: for he shall receiue of mine, and shall shewe it vnto you.

ସେ ମୋତେ ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବେ, କାରଣ ସେ ମୋʼ ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ।

15 All thinges that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shewe it vnto you.

ଯାହା ଯାହା ପିତାଙ୍କର, ସେହିସବୁ ମୋହର; ଏହି ହେତୁ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ସେ ମୋହର ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବେ।”

16 A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe a litle while, and ye shall see me: for I goe to the Father.

“ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ।”

17 Then said some of his disciples among them selues, What is this that he saieth vnto vs, A litle while, and ye shall not see me, and againe, a litle while, and ye shall see me, and, For I goe to the Father.

ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ପରସ୍ପର କହିଲେ, “ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ଓ ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି,” ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା କଅଣ?

18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A litle while? we know not what he sayeth.

ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, “ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ” ବୋଲି ଏ କଅଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି? ସେ କଅଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝି ପାରୁ ନାହୁଁ।

19 Now Iesus knew that they would aske him, and said vnto them, Doe ye enquire among your selues, of that I said, A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe, a litle while, and yee shall see me?

ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ବୁଝି ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ, ‘ପୁନର୍ବାର ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ, ମୁଁ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଲି, ସେ ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ପରସ୍ପର ବାଦାନୁବାଦ କରୁଅଛ?’

20 Verely, verely I say vnto you, that ye shall weepe and lament, and the worlde shall reioyce: and ye shall sorowe, but your sorowe shalbe turned to ioye.

ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରୋଦନ ଓ ବିଳାପ କରିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଗତ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୁଃଖ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ପରିଣତ ହେବ।

21 A woman when she traueileth, hath sorowe, because her houre is come: but assoone as she is deliuered of the childe, she remembreth no more the anguish, for ioy that a man is borne into the world.

ପ୍ରସବ ସମୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଏ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସନ୍ତାନ ପ୍ରସବ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଜଗତରେ ଜଣେ ମାନବ ଜନ୍ମଗ୍ରହଣ କଲା, ଏହି ଆନନ୍ଦ ଯୋଗୁଁ ଆଉ କଷ୍ଟ ସ୍ମରଣ କରେ ନାହିଁ।

22 And ye nowe therefore are in sorowe: but I will see you againe, and your hearts shall reioyce, and your ioy shall no man take from you.

ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଉଅଛ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେବି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେବ ଓ କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆନନ୍ଦ ହରଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

23 And in that day shall ye aske me nothing. Verely, verely I say vnto you, whatsoeuer ye shall aske the Father in my Name, he will giue it you.

ସେ ଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ କିଛି ପଚାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ କିଛି ମାଗିବ, ତେବେ ମୋʼ ନାମରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଦେବେ।

24 Hitherto haue ye asked nothing in my Name: aske, and ye shall receiue, that your ioye may be full.

ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋʼ ନାମରେ କିଛି ମାଗି ନାହଁ; ମାଗ, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆନନ୍ଦ ଯେପରି ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଏ, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହା ପାଇବ।”

25 These things haue I spoken vnto you in parables: but the time will come, when I shall no more speake to you in parables: but I shall shew you plainely of the Father.

“ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପମା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଅଛି; ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଉପମା ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବି।

26 At that day shall ye aske in my Name, and I say not vnto you, that I will pray vnto the Father for you:

ସେ ଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋʼ ନାମରେ ମାଗିବ; ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରିବି, ଏହା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁ ନାହିଁ;

27 For the Father himselfe loueth you, because ye haue loued me, and haue beleeued that I came out from God.

କାରଣ ପିତା ସ୍ୱୟଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତି, ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ସ୍ନେହ କରିଅଛ ଓ ମୁଁ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛ।

28 I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.

ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଜଗତକୁ ଆସିଅଛି; ପୁନର୍ବାର ମୁଁ ଜଗତ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି।”

29 His disciples saide vnto him, Loe, nowe speakest thou plainely, and thou speakest no parable.

ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଆପଣ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ରୂପେ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଉପମା-କଥା ଆଉ କହୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି।

30 Nowe knowe wee that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should aske thee. By this we beleeue, that thou art come out from God.

ଆପଣ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଜାଣନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, କେହି ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ କରିବାର ଯେ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ପ୍ରୟୋଜନ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଲୁ; ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଆପଣ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛୁ।

31 Iesus answered them, Doe you beleeue nowe?

ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଏବେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁଅଛ?

32 Beholde, the houre commeth, and is already come, that ye shalbe scattered euery man into his owne, and shall leaue me alone: but I am not alone: for the Father is with me.

ଦେଖ, ସମୟ ଆସୁଅଛି, ହଁ, ଆସିଲାଣି, ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଘରକୁ ପଳାଇଯିବ, ଆଉ ମୋତେ ଏକାକୀ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବ; ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ଏକାକୀ ନୁହେଁ, କାରଣ ପିତା ମୋʼ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

33 These thinges haue I spoken vnto you, that in me ye might haue peace: in the world ye shall haue affliction, but be of good comfort: I haue ouercome the world.

ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହିସବୁ ବିଷୟ କହିଅଛି। ଜଗତରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କ୍ଳେଶ ଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସାହସ ଧର; ମୁଁ ଜଗତକୁ ଜୟ କରିଅଛି।”
