John 16
1 These thinges haue I saide vnto you, that ye should not be offended.
१“तुम्ही अडखळवले जाऊ नये म्हणून मी तुम्हास या गोष्टी सांगून ठेवल्या आहेत.
2 They shall excommunicate you: yea, the time shall come, that whosoeuer killeth you, will thinke that he doeth God seruice.
२ते तुम्हास सभास्थानाच्या बाहेर घालवतील; इतकेच काय पण तुमचा जीव घेणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला आपण देवाला सेवा सादर करीत आहोत असे वाटेल, अशी वेळ येत आहे.
3 And these things will they doe vnto you, because they haue not knowen ye Father, nor me.
३त्यांनी पित्याला आणि मलाही ओळखले नसल्यामुळे ते असे करतील.
4 But these things haue I tolde you, that when the houre shall come, ye might remember, that I tolde you them. And these things said I not vnto you from ye beginning, because I was with you.
४मी तुम्हास या गोष्टी अशासाठी सांगून ठेवल्या आहेत की, ती घडण्याची वेळ आली म्हणजे त्या मी तुम्हास सांगितल्या होत्या याची आठवण व्हावी. या गोष्टी मी तुम्हास, प्रारंभापासून, सांगितल्या नाहीत, कारण मी तुमच्याबरोबर होतो.
5 But now I go my way to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
५पण ज्याने मला पाठवले त्याच्याकडे मी आता जातो आणि आपण कोठे जाता असे तुमच्यापैकी कोणीही मला विचारीत नाही.
6 But because I haue saide these thinges vnto you, your hearts are full of sorowe.
६पण मी या गोष्टी तुमच्याशी बोलल्यामुळे तुमचे अंतःकरण दुःखाने भरले आहे.
7 Yet I tell you the trueth, It is expedient for you that I goe away: for if I goe not away, that Comforter will not come vnto you: but if I depart, I will send him vnto you.
७तरीही मी तुम्हास खरे ते सांगतो, मी जातो हे तुमच्या फायद्याचे आहे, कारण मी गेलो नाही, तर कैवारी तुमच्याकडे येणारच नाही; मी गेलो तर मी त्यास तुमच्याकडे पाठवीन;
8 And when he is come, he will reproue the worlde of sinne, and of righteousnesse, and of iudgement.
८आणि तो आल्यावर तो जगाची पापाविषयी, नीतिमत्त्वाविषयी आणि न्यायाविषयी खात्री करील.
9 Of sinne, because they beleeued not in me:
९पापाविषयी; कारण ते माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवत नाहीत.
10 Of righteousnesse, because I goe to my Father, and ye shall see me no more:
१०नीतिमत्त्वाविषयी; कारण मी माझ्या पित्याकडे जातो आणि पुढे तुम्हास मी दिसणार नाही.
11 Of iudgement, because the prince of this world is iudged.
११आणि न्यायाविषयी; कारण या जगाच्या शासकाचा न्याय झाला आहे.
12 I haue yet many things to say vnto you, but ye cannot beare them nowe.
१२मला तुम्हास अजून पुष्कळ गोष्टी सांगावयाच्या आहेत पण तुम्ही आताच त्या सहन करू शकणार नाही.
13 Howbeit, when he is come which is the Spirit of trueth, he will leade you into all trueth: for he shall not speake of himselfe, but whatsoeuer he shall heare, shall he speake, and he will shew you the things to come.
१३पण तो सत्याचा आत्मा येईल तेव्हा तो तुम्हास मार्ग दाखवून सर्व सत्यात नेईल, कारण तो आपल्या स्वतःचे सांगणार नाही; तर जे ऐकेल तेच सांगेल आणि होणार्‍या गोष्टी तुम्हास कळवील.
14 He shall glorifie me: for he shall receiue of mine, and shall shewe it vnto you.
१४तो माझे गौरव करील, कारण जे माझे आहे त्यातून घेऊन ते तो तुम्हास कळवील.
15 All thinges that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shewe it vnto you.
१५जे काही स्वर्गीय पित्याचे आहे ते सर्व माझे आहे; म्हणून मी म्हणालो की, जे माझे आहे त्यांतून घेऊन ते तुम्हास कळवील.
16 A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe a litle while, and ye shall see me: for I goe to the Father.
१६थोड्या वेळाने, मी तुम्हास दिसणार नाही; आणि पुन्हा, थोड्या वेळाने तुम्ही मला पाहाल.”
17 Then said some of his disciples among them selues, What is this that he saieth vnto vs, A litle while, and ye shall not see me, and againe, a litle while, and ye shall see me, and, For I goe to the Father.
१७तेव्हा त्याच्या शिष्यांपैकी काही एकमेकांस म्हणाले, “हा आम्हास, ‘थोड्या वेळाने मी तुम्हास दिसणार नाही आणि पुन्हा थोड्या वेळाने तुम्ही मला पाहाल,’ शिवाय, ‘कारण मी पित्याकडे जातो.’ असे जे म्हणतो त्याचा अर्थ काय?”
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A litle while? we know not what he sayeth.
१८ते म्हणत होते, हा ‘थोड्या वेळाने’ असे जे म्हणतो याचा अर्थ काय? हा काय बोलतो ते आम्हास समजत नाही.
19 Now Iesus knew that they would aske him, and said vnto them, Doe ye enquire among your selues, of that I said, A litle while, and ye shall not see me: and againe, a litle while, and yee shall see me?
१९आपणाला विचारावे असे त्यांच्या मनात आहे, हे ओळखून येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी म्हणले की, थोड्या वेळाने, तुम्हास मी दिसणार नाही आणि पुन्हा, थोड्या वेळाने, तुम्ही मला पहाल, याविषयी एकमेकांना विचारीत आहात काय?
20 Verely, verely I say vnto you, that ye shall weepe and lament, and the worlde shall reioyce: and ye shall sorowe, but your sorowe shalbe turned to ioye.
२०मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, तुम्ही रडाल आणि शोक कराल, तरी जग आनंद करील. तुम्हास दुःख होईल, पण तुमचे दुःखच तुमचा आनंद होईल.
21 A woman when she traueileth, hath sorowe, because her houre is come: but assoone as she is deliuered of the childe, she remembreth no more the anguish, for ioy that a man is borne into the world.
२१स्त्री प्रसूत होते तेव्हा तिला वेदनांचे दुःख होते, कारण तिची प्रसूतीची घटका आलेली असते; पण बालक जन्मल्यावर जगात एक मनुष्य जन्मल्याचा जो आनंद होतो त्यामुळे तिला त्या क्लेशाची आठवण होत नाही.
22 And ye nowe therefore are in sorowe: but I will see you againe, and your hearts shall reioyce, and your ioy shall no man take from you.
२२आणि म्हणून, आता तुम्हास दुःख झाले आहे; तरी मी तुम्हास पुन्हा भेटेन आणि तुमचे अंतःकरण आनंदित होईल आणि तुमच्यापासून तुमचा आनंद कोणीही हिरावून घेणार नाही.
23 And in that day shall ye aske me nothing. Verely, verely I say vnto you, whatsoeuer ye shall aske the Father in my Name, he will giue it you.
२३आणि त्यादिवशी तुम्ही मला काही प्रश्न विचारणार नाही. मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, तुम्ही पित्याजवळ काही मागाल तर तो ते तुम्हास माझ्या नावाने देईल.
24 Hitherto haue ye asked nothing in my Name: aske, and ye shall receiue, that your ioye may be full.
२४तुम्ही अजून माझ्या नावाने काही मागितले नाही; मागा म्हणजे तुम्हास मिळेल, यासाठी की, तुमचा आनंद परिपूर्ण व्हावा.
25 These things haue I spoken vnto you in parables: but the time will come, when I shall no more speake to you in parables: but I shall shew you plainely of the Father.
२५या गोष्टी मी तुमच्याशी दाखल्यात बोललो आहे; पण जेव्हा मी तुमच्याशी दाखल्यात बोलणार नाही पण मी तुम्हास उघडपणे पित्याविषयी सांगेन अशी वेळ येत आहे.
26 At that day shall ye aske in my Name, and I say not vnto you, that I will pray vnto the Father for you:
२६त्यादिवशी तुम्ही माझ्या नावाने मागाल; आणि मी तुमच्यासाठी पित्याजवळ विनंती करीन असे मी तुम्हास म्हणत नाही.
27 For the Father himselfe loueth you, because ye haue loued me, and haue beleeued that I came out from God.
२७कारण पिता स्वतः तुमच्यावर प्रीती करतो, कारण तुम्ही माझ्यावर प्रीती केली आहे आणि मी पित्यापासून आलो असा विश्वास धरला आहे.
28 I am come out from the Father, and came into the worlde: againe I leaue the worlde, and goe to the Father.
२८मी पित्यापासून निघून जगात आलो आहे; पुन्हा, जग सोडून पित्याकडे जातो.”
29 His disciples saide vnto him, Loe, nowe speakest thou plainely, and thou speakest no parable.
२९त्याचे शिष्य त्यास म्हणाले, “पाहा, आता आपण उघडपणे बोलत आहा, दाखला सांगत नाही.
30 Nowe knowe wee that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should aske thee. By this we beleeue, that thou art come out from God.
३०आता आम्हास कळले आहे की, आपल्याला सर्वकाही कळते आणि कोणी आपल्याला विचारावे याची आपणाला गरज नाही. यावरुन आपण देवापासून आला आहात असा आम्ही विश्वास धरतो.”
31 Iesus answered them, Doe you beleeue nowe?
३१येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “तुम्ही आता विश्वास ठेवता काय?
32 Beholde, the houre commeth, and is already come, that ye shalbe scattered euery man into his owne, and shall leaue me alone: but I am not alone: for the Father is with me.
३२पाहा, अशी वेळ येत आहे किंबहुना आली आहे की, तुमची दाणादाण होऊन तुम्ही सर्व आपआपल्या घरी जाल व मला एकटे सोडाल; पण मी एकटा नाही, कारण पिता माझ्याबरोबर आहे.
33 These thinges haue I spoken vnto you, that in me ye might haue peace: in the world ye shall haue affliction, but be of good comfort: I haue ouercome the world.
३३माझ्याठायी तुम्हास शांती मिळावी म्हणून मी या गोष्टी सांगितल्या आहेत. जगात तुम्हास क्लेश होतील; तरी धीर धरा, मी जगाच्या शक्तीला जिकले आहे.”
