John 14
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye beleeue in God, beleeue also in me.
No se turbe vuestro corazón: creeis en Dios, creéd también en mí.
2 In my Fathers house are many dwelling places: if it were not so, I would haue tolde you: I go to prepare a place for you.
En la casa de mi Padre muchas moradas hay: si así no fuera, os lo hubiera yo dicho. Yo voy a aparejaros el lugar.
3 And if I go to prepare a place for you, I wil come againe, and receiue you vnto my selfe, that where I am, there may ye be also.
Y si me fuere, y os aparejare el lugar, vendré otra vez, y os tomaré a mí mismo, para que donde yo estoy, vosotros también estéis.
4 And whither I go, ye know, and the way ye knowe.
Y sabéis donde yo voy, y el camino sabéis.
5 Thomas sayd vnto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest: how can we then know ye way?
Dícele Tomás: Señor, no sabemos donde vas: ¿cómo pues podemos saber el camino?
6 Iesus sayd vnto him, I am that Way, and that Trueth, and that Life. No man commeth vnto the Father, but by me.
Jesús le dice: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.
7 If ye had knowen mee, ye should haue knowen my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and haue seene him.
Si me conocieseis, también a mi Padre conoceríais; y desde ahora le conocéis, y le habéis visto.
8 Philippe sayd vnto him, Lord, shewe vs thy Father, and it sufficeth vs.
Dícele Felipe: Señor, muéstranos el Padre, y nos basta.
9 Iesus sayd vnto him, I haue bene so long time with you, and hast thou not knowen mee, Philippe? he that hath seene me, hath seene my Father: how then sayest thou, Shewe vs thy Father?
Jesús le dice: ¿Tanto tiempo ha que estoy con vosotros, y no me has conocido aun, Felipe? El que me ha visto, ha visto al Padre. ¿Cómo pues dices tú: Muéstranos el Padre?
10 Beleeuest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The wordes that I speake vnto you, I speake not of my selfe: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the workes.
¿No crees que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí? Las palabras que yo os hablo, no las hablo de mí mismo; mas el Padre que está en mí, él hace las obras.
11 Beleeue me, that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me: at the least, beleeue me for the very workes sake.
Creédme que yo soy en el Padre, y el Padre en mí: o si no, creédme por las mismas obras.
12 Verely, verely I say vnto you, he that beleeueth in me, the workes that I doe, hee shall doe also, and greater then these shall he doe: for I goe vnto my Father.
De cierto, de cierto os digo: El que en mí cree, las obras que yo hago también él las hará, y mayores que estas hará; porque yo voy a mi Padre.
13 And whatsoeuer ye aske in my Name, that will I doe, that the Father may be glorified in the Sonne.
Y todo lo que pidiereis en mi nombre, esto haré; para que el Padre sea glorificado en el Hijo.
14 If ye shall aske any thing in my Name, I will doe it.
Si algo pidiereis en mi nombre, yo lo haré.
15 If ye loue me, keepe my comandements,
Si me amáis, guardád mis mandamientos.
16 And I wil pray the Father, and he shall giue you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for euer, (aiōn g165)
Y yo rogaré al Padre, el cual os dará otro Consolador para que esté con vosotros para siempre; (aiōn g165)
17 Euen the Spirit of trueth, whome the world can not receiue, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye knowe him: for he dwelleth with you, and shalbe in you.
Es a saber, al Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir; porque no le ve, ni le conoce; mas vosotros le conocéis, porque está con vosotros, y será en vosotros.
18 I will not leaue you fatherles: but I will come to you.
No os dejaré huérfanos: yo vendré a vosotros.
19 Yet a litle while, and the world shall see me no more, but ye shall see me: because I liue, ye shall liue also.
Aun un poquito, y el mundo no me verá más; empero vosotros me veréis: por cuanto yo vivo, vosotros también viviréis.
20 At that day shall ye knowe that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
Aquel día vosotros conoceréis que yo soy en mi Padre, y vosotros en mí, y yo en vosotros.
21 He that hath my commandements, and keepeth them, is he that loueth me: and he that loueth me, shall be loued of my Father: and I will loue him, and wil shewe mine owne selfe to him.
El que tiene mis mandamientos, y los guarda, aquel es el que me ama; y el que me ama, será amado de mi Padre; y yo le amaré a él, y me manifestaré a él.
22 Iudas sayd vnto him (not Iscariot) Lord, what is the cause that thou wilt shewe thy selfe vnto vs, and not vnto the world?
Dícele Júdas, no el Iscariote: ¿Señor, qué hay porque te has de manifestar a nosotros, y no al mundo?
23 Iesus answered, and sayd vnto him, If any man loue me, he will keepe my worde, and my Father will loue him, and we wil come vnto him, and wil dwell with him.
Respondió Jesús, y le dijo: Si alguno me ama, mi palabra guardará; y mi Padre le amará, y vendremos a él, y haremos con él morada.
24 He that loueth me not, keepeth not my wordes, and the worde which ye heare, is not mine, but the Fathers which sent me.
El que no me ama, no guarda mis palabras; y la palabra que habéis oído, no es mía, sino del Padre que me envió.
25 These things haue I spoken vnto you, being present with you.
Estas cosas os he hablado estando aun con vosotros.
26 But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father wil send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, which I haue tolde you.
Mas aquel Consolador, el Espíritu Santo, al cual el Padre enviará en mi nombre, él os enseñará todas las cosas, y os recordará todo lo que os he dicho.
27 Peace I leaue with you: my peace I giue vnto you: not as the worlde giueth, giue I vnto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor feare.
La paz os dejo: mi paz os doy: no como el mundo la da, yo os la doy: no se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo.
28 Ye haue heard howe I saide vnto you, I goe away, and will come vnto you. If ye loued me, ye would verely reioyce, because I said, I goe vnto the Father: for the Father is greater then I.
Habéis oído como yo os he dicho: Voy, y vengo otra vez a vosotros. Si me amaseis, ciertamente os regocijaríais, porque he dicho que voy al Padre; porque el Padre mayor es que yo.
29 And nowe haue I spoken vnto you, before it come, that when it is come to passe, ye might beleeue.
Y ahora os lo he dicho antes que se haga, para que cuando se hiciere, creáis.
30 Hereafter will I not speake many things vnto you: for the prince of this world commeth, and hath nought in me.
Ya no hablaré mucho con vosotros; porque viene el príncipe de este mundo, mas no tiene nada en mí.
31 But it is that the world may knowe that I loue my Father: and as the Father hath commanded me, so I doe. Arise, let vs goe hence.
Empero para que conozca el mundo que amo al Padre, y como el Padre me dio mandamiento, así hago. Levantáos, vamos de aquí.
