John 12
1 Then Iesus, sixe dayes before the Passeouer, came to Bethania, where Lazarus was, who died, whom he had raised from the dead.
௧பஸ்காபண்டிகை வருவதற்கு ஆறு நாட்களுக்கு முன்னே இயேசு தாம் மரணத்திலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுப்பின லாசரு இருந்த பெத்தானியாவிற்கு வந்தார்.
2 There they made him a supper, and Martha serued: but Lazarus was one of them that sate at the table with him.
௨அங்கே அவருக்கு இரவு விருந்து கொடுத்தார்கள்; மார்த்தாள் பணிவிடைசெய்தாள்; லாசருவும் அவருடனே பந்தியிருந்தவர்களில் ஒருவனாக இருந்தான்.
3 Then tooke Mary a pound of oyntment of Spikenarde very costly, and anoynted Iesus feete, and wiped his feete with her heare, and the house was filled with the sauour of the oyntment.
௩அப்பொழுது மரியாள் விலையேறப்பெற்ற களங்கமில்லாத நளதம் என்னும் தைலத்தில் ஒரு இராத்தல் (அரை லிட்டர்) கொண்டுவந்து, அதை இயேசுவின் பாதங்களில் பூசி, தன் தலைமுடியால் அவருடைய பாதங்களைத் துடைத்தாள்; அந்த வீடு முழுவதும் தைலத்தின் நல்ல வாசனையினால் நிறைந்திருந்தது.
4 Then said one of his disciples, euen Iudas Iscariot Simons sonne, which should betray him:
௪அப்பொழுது அவருடைய சீடர்களில் ஒருவனும் அவரைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்போகிறவனுமாகிய சீமோனுடைய குமாரனான யூதாஸ்காரியோத்து:
5 Why was not this oyntment sold for three hundreth pence, and giuen to the poore?
௫இந்தத் தைலத்தை முந்நூறு வெள்ளிப் பணத்திற்கு விற்று, தரித்திரர்களுக்குக் கொடுக்காமல்போனது என்ன என்றான்.
6 Nowe he said this, not that he cared for the poore, but because hee was a theefe, and had the bagge, and bare that which was giuen.
௬அவன் ஏழைகளைக்குறித்துக் கவலைப்பட்டு இப்படிச் சொல்லாமல், அவன் திருடனாக இருந்ததினாலும், பணப்பையை வைத்துக்கொண்டு அதிலே போடப்பட்டதைச் சுமக்கிறவனாக இருந்ததினாலும் இப்படிச் சொன்னான்.
7 Then said Iesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying she kept it.
௭அப்பொழுது இயேசு: இவளை விட்டுவிடு, என்னை அடக்கம் செய்யும் நாளுக்காக இதை வைத்திருந்தாள்.
8 For the poore alwayes yee haue with you, but me ye shall not haue alwayes.
௮ஏழைகள் எப்பொழுதும் உங்களிடம் இருக்கிறார்கள்; நான் எப்பொழுதும் உங்களிடம் இருக்கமாட்டேன் என்றார்.
9 Then much people of the Iewes knewe that hee was there: and they came, not for Iesus sake onely, but that they might see Lazarus also, whome he had raysed from the dead.
௯அப்பொழுது யூதர்களில் திரளான மக்கள் அவர் அங்கே இருக்கிறதை அறிந்து, இயேசுவைப் பார்ப்பதற்கு மட்டுமல்ல, அவர் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுப்பின லாசருவைப் பார்க்கும்படியாகவும் வந்தார்கள்.
10 The hie Priestes therefore consulted, that they might put Lazarus to death also,
௧0லாசருவினால் யூதர்களில் அநேகர்போய், இயேசுவினிடத்தில் விசுவாசம் வைத்ததினால்,
11 Because that for his sake many of the Iewes went away, and beleeued in Iesus.
௧௧பிரதான ஆசாரியர்கள் லாசருவையும் கொலைசெய்ய ஆலோசனை செய்தார்கள்.
12 On the morowe a great multitude that were come to the feast, when they heard that Iesus should come to Hierusalem,
௧௨அடுத்தநாளிலே இயேசு எருசலேமுக்கு வருகிறார் என்று பண்டிகைக்கு வந்த திரளான மக்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டு,
13 Tooke branches of palme trees, and went foorth to meete him, and cried, Hosanna, Blessed is the King of Israel that commeth in the Name of the Lord.
௧௩குருத்தோலைகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு போகும்படி புறப்பட்டு: “ஓசன்னா, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தினாலே வருகிற இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜா போற்றப்படத்தக்கவர்” என்று ஆர்ப்பரித்தார்கள்.
14 And Iesus found a yong asse, and sate thereon, as it is written,
௧௪அல்லாமலும்: “சீயோன் குமாரத்தியே, பயப்படாதே, உன் ராஜா கழுதைக் குட்டியின்மேல் ஏறிவருகிறார்” என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி,
15 Feare not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King commeth sitting on an asses colte.
௧௫இயேசு ஒரு கழுதைக்குட்டியைப் பார்த்து அதின்மேல் ஏறிப்போனார்.
16 But his disciples vnderstoode not these thinges at the first: but when Iesus was glorified, then remembred they, that these thinges were written of him, and that they had done these things vnto him.
௧௬இவைகளை அவருடைய சீடர்கள் துவக்கத்திலே அறியவில்லை. இயேசு மகிமையடைந்தபின்பு, இப்படி அவரைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறதையும், தாங்கள் இப்படி அவருக்குச் செய்ததையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்கள்.
17 The people therefore that was with him, bare witnesse that hee called Lazarus out of the graue, and raised him from the dead.
௧௭அன்றியும் அவருடன் இருந்த மக்கள் அவர் லாசருவைக் கல்லறையிலிருந்து வெளியே வரவழைத்து, அவனை உயிரோடு எழுப்பினார் என்று சாட்சிகொடுத்தார்கள்.
18 Therefore mette him the people also, because they heard that he had done this miracle.
௧௮அப்படிப்பட்ட அற்புதத்தை அவர் செய்தார் என்று மக்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டதினால் அவர்கள் அவருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு போனார்கள்.
19 And the Pharises said among themselues, Perceiue ye howe ye preuaile nothing? Beholde, the worlde goeth after him.
௧௯அப்பொழுது பரிசேயர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் செய்கிறதெல்லாம் வீணென்று அறிகிறதில்லையா? இதோ, உலக மக்கள் அனைவரும் அவருக்குப் பின்னே சென்றனர் என்றார்கள்.
20 Nowe there were certaine Greekes among them that came vp to worship at the feast.
௨0பண்டிகையில் ஆராதனைசெய்ய வந்தவர்களில் கிரேக்கர்கள் சிலர் இருந்தனர்.
21 And they came to Philippe, which was of Bethsaida in Galile, and desired him, saying, Syr, we would see that Iesus.
௨௧அவர்கள் கலிலேயா நாட்டுப் பெத்சாயிதா ஊரானாகிய பிலிப்புவினிடத்தில் வந்து: ஐயா, இயேசுவைப் பார்க்க விரும்புகிறோம் என்று அவனைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
22 Philippe came and tolde Andrew: and againe Andrew and Philippe tolde Iesus.
௨௨பிலிப்பு வந்து, அதை அந்திரேயாவிற்கு அறிவித்தான்; பின்பு அந்திரேயாவும் பிலிப்புவும் அதை இயேசுவிற்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்.
23 And Iesus answered them, saying, The houre is come, that the Sonne of man must bee glorified.
௨௩அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: மனிதகுமாரன் மகிமைப்படும்படியான வேளை வந்தது.
24 Verely, verely I say vnto you, Except the wheate corne fall into the grounde and die, it bideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth foorth much fruite.
௨௪உண்மையாகவே உண்மையாகவே நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், கோதுமை மணியானது நிலத்தில் விழுந்து சாகாவிட்டால் தனித்திருக்கும், செத்ததேயானால் மிகுந்த பலனைக் கொடுக்கும்.
25 He that loueth his life, shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world, shall keepe it vnto life eternall. (aiōnios g166)
௨௫தன் ஜீவனை சிநேகிக்கிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; இந்த உலகத்தில் தன் ஜீவனை வெறுக்கிறவனோ அவன் அதை நித்தியஜீவகாலமாகக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுவான். (aiōnios g166)
26 If any man serue me, let him follow me: for where I am, there shall also my seruant be: and if any man serue me, him will my Father honour.
௨௬ஒருவன் எனக்கு ஊழியம் செய்கிறவனானால் என்னைப் பின்பற்றட்டும், நான் எங்கே இருக்கிறேனோ அங்கே என் ஊழியக்காரனும் இருப்பான்; ஒருவன் எனக்கு ஊழியம் செய்தால் அவனைப் பிதாவானவர் கனம்பண்ணுவார்.
27 Now is my soule troubled: and what shall I say? Father, saue me from this houre: but therefore came I vnto this houre.
௨௭இப்பொழுது என் ஆத்துமா கலங்குகிறது, நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன். பிதாவே, இந்த நேரத்திலிருந்து என்னை இரட்சியும் என்று சொல்வேனோ; ஆனாலும், இதற்காகவே இந்த நேரத்திற்குள் வந்தேன்.
28 Father, glorifie thy Name. Then came there a voyce from heauen, saying, I haue both glorified it, and will glorifie it againe.
௨௮பிதாவே, உமது நாமத்தை மகிமைப்படுத்தும் என்றார். அப்பொழுது: மகிமைப்படுத்தினேன், இன்னமும் மகிமைப்படுத்துவேன் என்கிற சத்தம் வானத்திலிருந்து உண்டானது.
29 Then saide the people that stoode by, and heard, that it was a thunder: other said, An Angel spake to him.
௨௯அங்கே நின்று கொண்டிருந்து, அதைக் கேட்ட மக்கள்: இடிமுழக்கம் உண்டானது என்றார்கள். வேறுசிலர்: தேவதூதன் அவருடனே பேசினான் என்றார்கள்.
30 Iesus answered, and said, This voyce came not because of me, but for your sakes.
௩0இயேசு அவர்களைப் பார்த்து: இந்தச் சத்தம் எனக்காக உண்டாகாமல் உங்களுக்காக உண்டானது.
31 Now is the iudgement of this world: nowe shall the prince of this world be cast out.
௩௧இப்பொழுதே இந்த உலகத்திற்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு உண்டாகிறது; இப்பொழுதே இந்த உலகத்தின் அதிபதி புறம்பாகத் தள்ளப்படுவான்.
32 And I, if I were lift vp from the earth, will drawe all men vnto me.
௩௨பூமியிலிருந்து உயர்த்தப்பட்டு இருக்கும்போது, எல்லோரையும் என்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன் என்றார்.
33 Nowe this sayd he, signifying what death he should die.
௩௩இயேசு தாம் எவ்விதமாக மரிக்கப்போகிறார் என்பதைக் குறிக்கும்படி இப்படிச் சொன்னார்.
34 The people answered him, We haue heard out of the Law, that that Christ bideth for euer: and howe sayest thou, that that Sonne of man must be lift vp? Who is that Sonne of man? (aiōn g165)
௩௪மக்கள் அவரைப் பார்த்து: கிறிஸ்து என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கிறார் என்று வேதத்தில் சொல்லியதை நாங்கள் கேட்டிருக்கிறோம், அப்படியிருக்க மனிதகுமாரன் உயர்த்தப்படவேண்டியது என்று எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறீர்; இந்த மனிதகுமாரன் யார் என்றார்கள். (aiōn g165)
35 Then Iesus sayd vnto them, Yet a litle while is the light with you: walke while ye haue that light, lest the darkenes come vpon you: for hee that walketh in the darke, knoweth not whither he goeth.
௩௫அதற்கு இயேசு: இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலம் ஒளி உங்களிடம் இருக்கும்; இருளில் நீங்கள் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளாதபடி ஒளி உங்களோடு இருக்கும்போது நடவுங்கள்; இருளில் நடக்கிறவன் தான் போகிற இடம் எங்கே என்று தெரியாமல் இருக்கிறான்.
36 While ye haue that light, beleeue in that light, that ye may be the children of the light. These things spake Iesus, and departed, and hid himselfe from them.
௩௬ஒளி உங்களோடு இருக்கும்போது நீங்கள் ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகளாவதற்கு, ஒளியிடம் விசுவாசமாக இருங்கள் என்றார். இவைகளை இயேசு சொல்லி, அவர்களைவிட்டு மறைந்தார்.
37 And though he had done so many miracles before them, yet beleeued they not on him,
௩௭அவர் இத்தனை அற்புதங்களை அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்திருந்தும், அவர்கள் அவரை விசுவாசிக்கவில்லை.
38 That the saying of Esaias the Prophete might be fulfilled, that he sayd, Lord, who beleeued our report? and to whome is the arme of the Lord reueiled?
௩௮“கர்த்தாவே, எங்கள் மூலமாகக் கேள்விப்பட்டதை விசுவாசித்தவன் யார்? கர்த்தருடையக் கரம் யாருக்கு வெளிப்பட்டது” என்று ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசி சொன்ன வசனம் நிறைவேறும்படி இப்படி நடந்தது.
39 Therefore could they not beleeue, because that Esaias saith againe,
௩௯ஆகவே, அவர்கள் விசுவாசிக்காமல் போனார்கள். ஏனென்றால், ஏசாயா பின்னும்:
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they shoulde not see with their eyes, nor vnderstand with their heart, and should be conuerted, and I should heale them.
௪0அவர்கள் கண்களினால் பார்க்காமலும், இருதயத்தினால் உணராமலும், குணப்படாமலும் இருப்பதற்கும், நான் அவர்களைச் சுகமாக்காமல் இருப்பதற்கும், அவர்களுடைய கண்களை அவர் குருடாக்கி, அவர்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கடினமாக்கினார்” என்றான்.
41 These things sayd Esaias when he sawe his glory, and spake of him.
௪௧ஏசாயா அவருடைய மகிமையைப் பார்த்து, அவரைக்குறித்துப் பேசுகிறபோது இவைகளைச் சொன்னான்.
42 Neuertheles, euen among the chiefe rulers, many beleeued in him: but because of the Pharises they did not confesse him, least they should be cast out of the Synagogue.
௪௨ஆனாலும் அதிகாரிகளிலும் அநேகர் அவரிடம் விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள். அப்படியிருந்தும் ஜெப ஆலயத்தைவிட்டு வெளியேற்றப்படாமல் இருக்க, பரிசேயர்களுக்கு பயந்து அதை அறிக்கைசெய்யாமலும் இருந்தார்கள்.
43 For they loued the prayse of men, more then the prayse of God.
௪௩அவர்கள் தேவனால் வருகிற மகிமையைவிட மனிதர்களால் வருகிற மகிமையை அதிகமாக விரும்பினார்கள்.
44 And Iesus cryed, and sayd, He that beleeueth in me, beleeueth not in me, but in him that sent me.
௪௪அப்பொழுது இயேசு சத்தமாக: என்மேல் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிறவன் என்னிடத்தில் அல்ல, என்னை அனுப்பினவரிடம் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிறான்.
45 And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.
௪௫என்னைப் பார்க்கிறவன் என்னை அனுப்பினவரைப் பார்க்கிறான்.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoeuer beleeueth in me, should not abide in darkenes.
௪௬என்னிடம் விசுவாசமாக இருக்கிறவனெவனும் இருளில் இல்லாதபடி, நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாக வந்தேன்.
47 And if any man heare my wordes, and beleeue not, I iudge him not: for I came not to iudge the world, but to saue the world.
௪௭ஒருவன் என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டும் விசுவாசிக்காமல்போனால், அவனை நான் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பதில்லை; நான் உலகத்தை நியாயந்தீர்க்க வராமல், உலகத்தை இரட்சிக்க வந்தேன்.
48 He that refuseth me, and receiueth not my wordes, hath one that iudgeth him: the worde that I haue spoken, it shall iudge him in the last day.
௪௮என்னைத் தள்ளி என் வார்த்தைகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவனை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிற ஒன்று இருக்கிறது; நான் சொன்ன வசனமே அவனைக் கடைசிநாளில் நியாயந்தீர்க்கும்.
49 For I haue not spoken of my selfe: but the Father which sent me, hee gaue me a commandement what I should say, and what I should speake.
௪௯நான் சுயமாகப் பேசவில்லை, நான் பேசவேண்டியது என்ன என்றும் உபதேசிக்கவேண்டியது என்ன என்றும் என்னை அனுப்பின பிதாவே எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.
