John 10
1 Verely, verely I say vnto you, Hee that entreth not in by the doore into the sheepefolde, but climeth vp another way, he is a theefe and a robber.
இயேசு மேலும் சொன்னதாவது: “நான் உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், ஆட்டுத் தொழுவத்தினுள்ளே ஒருவன் வாசல் வழியாய் உள்ளே போகாமல் வேறு வழியாய் ஏறி உள்ளே வருகிறவன், அவன் கள்வனும் கொள்ளைக்காரனுமாய் இருப்பான்.
2 But he that goeth in by the doore, is the shepheard of the sheepe.
வாசல் வழியாய் உள்ளே போகிறவனே ஆடுகளின் மேய்ப்பனாய் இருக்கிறான்.
3 To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out.
காவலாளி அவனுக்கு வாசல் கதவைத் திறந்து விடுகிறான். ஆடுகளும் அவனுடைய குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கின்றன. அவன் தன்னுடைய ஆடுகளைப் பெயர் சொல்லிக் கூப்பிட்டு, அவைகளை வழிநடத்திச் செல்கிறான்.
4 And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
அவன் தனக்குச் சொந்தமான எல்லா ஆடுகளையும் தொழுவத்திற்கு வெளியே கொண்டுவந்து விட்டபின்பு, அவைகளுக்கு முன்னாக நடந்து செல்கிறான். அவனுடைய ஆடுகளும் அவனுடைய குரலை அறிந்திருப்பதால், அவை அவனுக்குப்பின் செல்கின்றன.
5 And they will not follow a stranger, but they flee from him: for they know not the voyce of strangers.
ஆடுகள் ஒருபோதும் அறியாத ஒருவனைப் பின்பற்றிச் செல்லமாட்டாது; ஒரு அவனுடைய குரலை அவை இன்னாருடைய குரல் என்று அறியாதபடியால், அவை அவனைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போகும்” என்றார்.
6 This parable spake Iesus vnto them: but they vnderstoode not what things they were which he spake vnto them.
இயேசு இதை உவமையாக பேசி அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னபோது, இயேசு தங்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்கிறார் என்று அவர்கள் விளங்கிக்கொள்ளவில்லை.
7 Then sayd Iesus vnto them againe, Verely, verely I say vnto you, I am that doore of the sheepe.
எனவே இயேசு மீண்டும் அவர்களிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், ஆடுகளுக்கு வாசல் நானே.
8 All, that euer came before me, are theeues and robbers: but the sheepe did not heare them.
எனக்கு முன்னே வந்த எல்லோரும் கள்வரும் கொள்ளைக்காரருமாய் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஆடுகள் அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை.
9 I am that doore: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saued, and shall go in, and go out, and finde pasture.
நானே வாசல்; என் வழியாய் உள்ளே போகிறவர்கள் யாரோ அவர்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்படுவார்கள். அவர்கள் சுதந்திரமாய் உள்ளே வந்து வெளியே போய், தமக்குரிய மேய்ச்சலைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்கிறார்கள்.
10 The theefe commeth not, but for to steale, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might haue life, and haue it in abundance.
திருடனோ திருடவும் கொல்லவும் அழிக்கவுமே வருகிறான்; நானோ அவர்கள் ஜீவனை அடையும்படியாக வந்திருக்கிறேன். அவர்கள் அந்த ஜீவனை நிறைவாய் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படியாகவே வந்தேன்.
11 I am that good shepheard: that good shepheard giueth his life for his sheepe.
“நானே நல்ல மேய்ப்பன்; நல்ல மேய்ப்பன் ஆடுகளுக்காகத் தன் உயிரையே கொடுக்கிறான்.
12 But an hireling, and hee which is not the shepheard, neither the sheepe are his owne, seeth the wolfe comming, and hee leaueth the sheepe, and fleeth, and the wolfe catcheth them, and scattreth the sheepe.
கூலிக்காரனோ ஆடுகளின் உரிமையுள்ள மேய்ப்பன் அல்ல. எனவே அவன் ஓநாய் வருகிறதைக் காண்கிறபோது, ஆடுகளை விட்டுவிட்டு ஓடிப்போகிறான். அப்பொழுது ஓநாய் மந்தையைத் தாக்கி, அதைச் சிதறடிக்கிறது.
13 So the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheepe.
கூலிக்காரனோ தான் கூலிக்காரனாக இருப்பதால், ஆடுகளைக் குறித்து அக்கறை இல்லாமல் அவன் ஓடிப்போகிறான்.
14 I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine.
“நானே நல்ல மேய்ப்பன்; நான் என் ஆடுகளையும் என்னுடைய ஆடுகள் என்னையும் அறிந்திருக்கின்றன.
15 As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay downe my life for my sheepe.
பிதா என்னை அறிந்திருக்கிறதுபோல நானும் பிதாவை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன், ஆகையால் நான் ஆடுகளுக்காக என் உயிரையும் கொடுக்கிறேன்.
16 Other sheepe I haue also, which are not of this folde: them also must I bring, and they shall heare my voyce: and there shalbe one sheepefolde, and one shepheard.
இந்தத் தொழுவத்திற்குள் இராத வேறு ஆடுகளும் எனக்கு உண்டு. அவைகளையும் நான் கொண்டுவர வேண்டும். அவைகளும் என்னுடைய குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கும். அப்பொழுது ஒரே மந்தையும் ஒரே மேய்ப்பனுமாய் இருக்கும்.
17 Therefore doeth my Father loue me, because I lay downe my life, that I might take it againe.
நான் என் உயிரைக் கொடுக்கிறபடியினால் பிதா என்னில் அன்பாயிருக்கிறார். நான் அதைத் திரும்பவும் பெற்றுக் கொள்வேன்.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it downe of my selfe: I haue power to lay it downe, and haue power to take it againe: this commandement haue I receiued of my Father.
என் உயிரை ஒருவரும் என்னிடத்திலிருந்து பறித்துக் கொள்வதில்லை. என் சுயவிருப்பத்தின்படியே நான் என் உயிரைக் கொடுக்கிறேன். அதைக் கொடுக்கவும் எனக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு; அதைத் திரும்பப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் எனக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு. இந்த கட்டளையை நான் என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேன்” என்றார்.
19 Then there was a dissension againe among the Iewes for these sayings,
இந்த வார்த்தைகளை யூதர்கள் கேட்டபோது, அவர்களிடையே மீண்டும் பிரிவினை ஏற்பட்டது.
20 And many of them sayd, He hath a deuill, and is mad: why heare ye him?
அவர்களில் பலர், “இவனுக்குப் பிசாசு பிடித்திருக்கிறது, பைத்தியமும் பிடித்துவிட்டது, இவன் பேச்சை ஏன் கேட்கிறீர்கள்?” என்றார்கள்.
21 Other sayd, These are not the wordes of him that hath a deuill: can the deuill open the eyes of the blinde?
மற்றவர்களோ, “இவை பிசாசு பிடித்தவனுடைய வார்த்தைகள் அல்லவே. பார்வையற்றவனுடைய கண்களைப் பிசாசினால் திறக்க முடியுமோ?” என்றார்கள்.
22 And it was at Hierusalem the feast of the Dedication, and it was winter.
எருசலேமிலே ஆலயத்தின் அர்ப்பணிப்புப் பண்டிகை நடந்தது. அது குளிர்க்காலமாயிருந்தது.
23 And Iesus walked in the Temple, in Salomons porche.
இயேசு ஆலயப் பகுதியில் சாலொமோன் மண்டபத்தில் உலாவிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.
24 Then came the Iewes round about him, and sayd vnto him, Howe long doest thou make vs dout? If thou be that Christ, tell vs plainely.
அப்பொழுது யூதர்கள் இயேசுவைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, “நீர் எவ்வளவு காலத்துக்கு எங்களைச் சந்தேகப்படவைப்பீர்? நீர் கிறிஸ்துவானால் அதை எங்களுக்குத் தெளிவாகச் சொல்லும்” என்றார்கள்.
25 Iesus answered them, I tolde you, and ye beleeue not: the workes that I doe in my Fathers Name, they beare witnes of me.
அதற்கு இயேசு, “நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னேன். ஆனால் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கவில்லை. என் பிதாவின் பெயரினால் நான் செய்கிற கிரியைகளே என்னைக் குறித்துப் பேசுகின்றன.
26 But ye beleeue not: for ye are not of my sheepe, as I sayd vnto you.
ஆனால், நீங்கள் என்னுடைய ஆடுகளாய் இராதபடியால், விசுவாசிக்காமல் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.
27 My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me,
என் ஆடுகள் எனது குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கின்றன. நான் அவைகளை அறிந்திருக்கிறேன். அவைகள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றன.
29 My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand.
அவைகளை எனக்குக் கொடுத்த என்னுடைய பிதா, எல்லோரைப் பார்க்கிலும் மிகவும் பெரியவர்; அவைகளை என் பிதாவின் கையிலிருந்து ஒருவராலும் பறித்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது.
30 I and my Father are one.
நானும் பிதாவும் ஒன்றே” என்றார்.
31 Then ye Iewes againe tooke vp stones, to stone him.
அப்பொழுது யூதத்தலைவர்கள் இயேசுவின்மேல் எறியும்படி மீண்டும் கற்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.
32 Iesus answered them, Many good workes haue I shewed you from my Father: for which of these workes doe ye stone me?
ஆனால் இயேசுவோ அவர்களிடம், “என் பிதாவினிடத்தில் இருந்து பல நற்கிரியைகளை நான் உங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்தேன். இவைகளில் எதினிமித்தம் நீங்கள் என்மேல் கல்லெறிகிறீர்கள்?” என்று கேட்டார்.
33 The Iewes answered him, saying, For the good worke we stone thee not, but for blasphemie, and that thou being a man, makest thy selfe God.
அதற்கு யூதர்கள், “நற்செயலினால் நாங்கள் உன்மேல் கல்லெறியவில்லை. ஆனால் ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதனாகிய நீ, உன்னைக் கடவுள் என்று சொல்லிக்கொள்கிறாயே. அவ்விதம் நீ இறைவனை நிந்தித்துப் பேசியதற்காகவே உன்மேல் கல்லெறிகிறோம்” என்றார்கள்.
34 Iesus answered them, Is it not written in your Lawe, I sayd, Ye are gods?
“உங்கள் சட்டத்தில், ‘நீங்கள் “தெய்வங்களாய்” இருக்கிறீர்கள்’ என்று எழுதியிருக்கவில்லையா? என இயேசு அவர்களிடம் கேட்டார்.
35 If hee called them gods, vnto whome the worde of God was giuen, and the Scripture cannot be broken,
இறைவனுடைய வார்த்தையைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டவர்களை அவர், ‘கடவுள்கள்’ என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறாரே. வேதவசனமும் தவறாக இருக்கமுடியாதே.
36 Say ye of him, whome the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the worlde, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Sonne of God?
அப்படியானால் பிதாவினால் தனக்கென வேறுபிரித்து இந்த உலகத்திற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டவரைக் குறித்து நீங்கள் என்ன சொல்கிறீர்கள்? நான் என்னை, ‘இறைவனுடைய மகன்’ என்று சொன்னதால், நான் இறைவனை நிந்திக்கிறேன் என்று நீங்கள் எப்படி என்னில் குற்றம் காணலாம்?
37 If I doe not the workes of my Father, beleeue me not.
நான் என் பிதாவுக்குரியவற்றைச் செய்யாவிட்டால், நீங்கள் என்னை விசுவாசிக்க வேண்டாம்.
38 But if I doe, then though ye beleeue not mee, yet beleeue the workes, that ye may knowe and beleeue, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
ஆனால் அவைகளை நான் செய்தால், நீங்கள் என்னை விசுவாசிக்காவிட்டாலும் கூட கிரியைகளையாவது விசுவாசியுங்கள். அப்பொழுது பிதா என்னில் இருக்கிறார் என்பதையும், நான் பிதாவில் இருக்கிறேன் என்பதையும் நீங்கள் அறிந்து விளங்கிக்கொள்வீர்கள்” என்றார்.
39 Againe they went about to take him: but he escaped out of their handes,
எனவே அவர்கள் மீண்டும் இயேசுவைக் கைதுசெய்ய முயன்றார்கள். ஆனால் அவரோ அவர்களுடைய பிடியில் அகப்படாமல் தப்பிப்போய்விட்டார்.
40 And went againe beyonde Iordan, into the place where Iohn first baptized, and there abode.
பின்பு இயேசு மீண்டும் யோர்தானைக் கடந்து ஆரம்ப நாட்களிலே யோவான் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்த இடத்திற்கு போய், அங்கே தங்கினார்.
41 And many resorted vnto him, and saide, Iohn did no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man, were true.
அநேகர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து. அவர்கள் அவரிடம், “யோவான் ஒருபோதும் ஒரு அடையாளத்தையும் செய்யவில்லை. ஆனாலும் இவரைக்குறித்து யோவான் சொன்னவை எல்லாம் உண்மையாய் இருக்கிறது” என்றார்கள்.
42 And many beleeued in him there.
அவ்விடத்திலே அநேகர் இயேசுவில் விசுவாசம் வைத்தார்கள்.
