John 10
1 Verely, verely I say vnto you, Hee that entreth not in by the doore into the sheepefolde, but climeth vp another way, he is a theefe and a robber.
१“मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, जो मेंढवाड्यांत दरवाजातून न जातां दुसरीकडून चढून जातो, तो चोर आणि लुटारू आहे.
2 But he that goeth in by the doore, is the shepheard of the sheepe.
२जो दरवाजाने आत जातो तो मेंढपाळ आहे.
3 To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out.
३त्याच्यासाठी द्वारपाल दरवाजा उघडतो आणि मेंढरे त्याची वाणी ऐकतात. तो आपल्या मेंढरांना ज्याच्या त्याच्या नावाने हाक मारतो आणि त्यांना बाहेर नेतो;
4 And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
४आणि आपली सर्व मेंढरे बाहेर काढल्यावर तो त्यांच्यापुढे चालतो आणि मेंढरे त्याच्यामागे चालतात; कारण ती त्याचा वाणी ओळखतात.
5 And they will not follow a stranger, but they flee from him: for they know not the voyce of strangers.
५ती परक्याच्या मागे कधीच जाणार नाहीत, तर ती त्याच्यापासून पळतील; कारण ती परक्यांची वाणी ओळखीत नाहीत.”
6 This parable spake Iesus vnto them: but they vnderstoode not what things they were which he spake vnto them.
६येशूने त्यांना हा दाखला सांगितला. तरी ज्या गोष्टी तो त्यांच्याबरोबर बोलला त्या काय आहेत हे त्यांना समजले नाही.
7 Then sayd Iesus vnto them againe, Verely, verely I say vnto you, I am that doore of the sheepe.
७म्हणून येशू त्यांना पुन्हा म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो की, मी मेंढरांचे द्वार आहे.
8 All, that euer came before me, are theeues and robbers: but the sheepe did not heare them.
८जे माझ्या पूर्वी आले ते सर्व चोर आणि लुटारू आहेत, त्याचे मेंढरांनी ऐकले नाही.
9 I am that doore: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saued, and shall go in, and go out, and finde pasture.
९मी द्वार आहे; माझ्याद्वारे कोणी आत जाईल तर त्याचे तारण होईल; तो आत येईल आणि बाहेर जाईल आणि त्यास खावयास मिळेल.
10 The theefe commeth not, but for to steale, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might haue life, and haue it in abundance.
१०चोर तर, तो केवळ चोरी, घात व नाश करायला येतो. मी तर त्यांना जीवन प्राप्ती व्हावी व विपुलपणे व्हावी म्हणून आलो आहे.
11 I am that good shepheard: that good shepheard giueth his life for his sheepe.
११मी उत्तम मेंढपाळ आहे; उत्तम मेंढपाळ मेंढरांकरिता आपला जीव देतो.
12 But an hireling, and hee which is not the shepheard, neither the sheepe are his owne, seeth the wolfe comming, and hee leaueth the sheepe, and fleeth, and the wolfe catcheth them, and scattreth the sheepe.
१२जो मेंढपाळ नाही तर मोलकरीच आहे आणि ज्याची स्वतःची मेंढरे नाहीत, तो लांडग्याला येत असलेले पाहून मेंढरे सोडून पळून जातो; आणि लांडगा त्यांच्यावर झडप घालून धरतो त्यांची दाणादाण करतो.
13 So the hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheepe.
१३मोलकरी पळून जातो कारण तो मोलकरीच आहे आणि त्यास मेंढरांची काळजी नाही.
14 I am that good shepheard, and knowe mine, and am knowen of mine.
१४मी उत्तम मेंढपाळ आहे; आणि, जसा पिता मला ओळखतो आणि मी पित्याला ओळखतो तसे जे माझे आहेत त्यांना मी ओळखतो आणि जे माझे आहेत ते मला ओळखतात;
15 As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay downe my life for my sheepe.
१५आणि मी मेंढरांसाठी आपला जीव देतो.
16 Other sheepe I haue also, which are not of this folde: them also must I bring, and they shall heare my voyce: and there shalbe one sheepefolde, and one shepheard.
१६या मेंढवाड्यातली नाहीत अशी माझी दुसरी मेंढरे आहेत; तीही मला आणली पाहिजेत आणि ती माझी वाणी ऐकतील. मग एक कळप आणि एक मेंढपाळ असे होईल.
17 Therefore doeth my Father loue me, because I lay downe my life, that I might take it againe.
१७मी आपला जीव परत घेण्याकरिता देतो म्हणून पिता माझ्यावर प्रीती करतो.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it downe of my selfe: I haue power to lay it downe, and haue power to take it againe: this commandement haue I receiued of my Father.
१८कोणी तो माझ्यापासून घेत नाही. तर मी होऊनच तो देतो. मला तो देण्याचा अधिकार आहे आणि मला तो परत घेण्याचा अधिकार आहे. ही आज्ञा मला माझ्या पित्यापासून मिळाली आहे.”
19 Then there was a dissension againe among the Iewes for these sayings,
१९म्हणून या शब्दांवरून यहूदी लोकात पुन्हा फूट पडली.
20 And many of them sayd, He hath a deuill, and is mad: why heare ye him?
२०त्यांच्यातील पुष्कळजण म्हणाले, “त्याला भूत लागले आहे आणि तो वेडा आहे. तुम्ही त्याचे का ऐकता?”
21 Other sayd, These are not the wordes of him that hath a deuill: can the deuill open the eyes of the blinde?
२१दुसरे म्हणाले, “ही वचने भूत लागलेल्या मनुष्याची नाहीत. भूताला आंधळ्याचे डोळे उघडता येतात काय?”
22 And it was at Hierusalem the feast of the Dedication, and it was winter.
२२तेव्हा यरूशलेम शहरात पुनःस्थापनेचा सण असून हिवाळा होता.
23 And Iesus walked in the Temple, in Salomons porche.
२३आणि येशू परमेश्वराच्या भवनात शलमोनाच्या देवडीत फिरत होता.
24 Then came the Iewes round about him, and sayd vnto him, Howe long doest thou make vs dout? If thou be that Christ, tell vs plainely.
२४म्हणून यहूदी लोक त्याच्याभोवती जमले आणि त्यास म्हणाले, “आपण कोठवर आमची मने संशयात ठेवणार? तुम्ही ख्रिस्त असाल तर आम्हास उघडपणे सांगा.”
25 Iesus answered them, I tolde you, and ye beleeue not: the workes that I doe in my Fathers Name, they beare witnes of me.
२५येशूने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “मी तुम्हास सांगितले तरी तुम्ही विश्वास ठेवत नाही. मी माझ्या पित्याच्या नावाने जी कामे करतो ती माझ्याविषयी साक्ष देतात.
26 But ye beleeue not: for ye are not of my sheepe, as I sayd vnto you.
२६तरी तुम्ही विश्वास ठेवत नाही, कारण तुम्ही माझ्या मेंढरांपैकी नाही.
27 My sheepe heare my voyce, and I knowe them, and they follow me,
२७माझी मेंढरे माझी वाणी ऐकतात, मी त्यांना ओळखतो आणि ती माझ्यामागे येतात.
29 My Father which gaue them me, is greater then all, and none is able to take them out of my Fathers hand.
२९पित्याने मला जे दिले ते सर्वांहून मोठे आहे आणि पित्याच्या हातातून ते कोणी हिसकावून घेऊ शकत नाही.
30 I and my Father are one.
३०मी आणि पिता एक आहोत.”
31 Then ye Iewes againe tooke vp stones, to stone him.
३१तेव्हा यहूदी लोकांनी त्यास दगडमार करायला पुन्हा दगड उचलले.
32 Iesus answered them, Many good workes haue I shewed you from my Father: for which of these workes doe ye stone me?
३२येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी माझ्या स्वर्गीय पित्याकडची पुष्कळ चांगली कामे तुम्हास दाखवली आहेत. त्या कामांतील कोणत्या कामाकरता तुम्ही मला दगडमार करता?”
33 The Iewes answered him, saying, For the good worke we stone thee not, but for blasphemie, and that thou being a man, makest thy selfe God.
३३यहूदी लोकांनी त्यास उत्तर दिले, “आम्ही चांगल्या कामासाठी तुला दगडमार करीत नाही, पण दुर्भाषणासाठी करतो; कारण तू मनुष्य असून स्वतःला देव म्हणवतोस.”
34 Iesus answered them, Is it not written in your Lawe, I sayd, Ye are gods?
३४येशूने त्यांना म्हटले, “तुम्ही देव आहा, असे मी म्हणालो हे तुमच्या शास्त्रात लिहिले नाही काय?
35 If hee called them gods, vnto whome the worde of God was giuen, and the Scripture cannot be broken,
३५ज्यांना देवाचे वचन प्राप्त झाले त्यांना जर त्याने देव म्हणले आणि शास्त्रलेखाचा भंग होत नाही,
36 Say ye of him, whome the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the worlde, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Sonne of God?
३६तर ज्याला पित्याने पवित्र कार्यास्तव नेमून जगात पाठवले, त्या मला, मी देवाचा पुत्र आहे असे म्हटल्यावरून तुम्ही ‘दुर्भाषण करता’ असे तुम्ही मला म्हणता काय?
37 If I doe not the workes of my Father, beleeue me not.
३७मी जर माझ्या पित्याची कामे करीत नसेन तर माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवू नका.
38 But if I doe, then though ye beleeue not mee, yet beleeue the workes, that ye may knowe and beleeue, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
३८पण जर मी ती करीतो तर माझ्यावर विश्वास न ठेवला तरी त्या कामांवर विश्वास ठेवा. अशासाठी की, माझ्यामध्ये पिता आहे आणि पित्यामध्ये मी आहे. हे तुम्ही ओळखून घ्यावे.”
39 Againe they went about to take him: but he escaped out of their handes,
३९ते त्यास पुन्हा धरावयास पाहू लागले, परंतु तो त्यांच्या हाती न लागता निघून गेला.
40 And went againe beyonde Iordan, into the place where Iohn first baptized, and there abode.
४०मग तो पुन्हा यार्देनेच्या पलीकडे जेथे योहान पहिल्याने बाप्तिस्मा करीत असे त्याठिकाणी जाऊन राहिला.
41 And many resorted vnto him, and saide, Iohn did no miracle: but all thinges that Iohn spake of this man, were true.
४१तेव्हा पुष्कळ लोक आले; ते म्हणाले, “योहानाने काही चिन्ह केले नाही हे खरे आहे, तरी योहानाने याच्याविषयी जे काही सांगितले ते सर्व खरे आहे.”
42 And many beleeued in him there.
४२तेथे पुष्कळ जणांनी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवला.
