Joel 3
1 For beholde, in those dayes and in that time, when I shall bring againe the captiuitie of Iudah and Ierusalem,
»Denn wisset wohl: in jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit, wo ich das Geschick Judas und Jerusalems wenden werde,
2 I will also gather all nations, and wil bring them downe into the valley of Iehoshaphat, and will pleade with them there for my people, and for mine heritage Israel, whom they haue scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
da will ich alle Heidenvölker versammeln und sie in das Tal Josaphat hinabführen, um dort mit ihnen ins Gericht zu gehen wegen Israels, meines Volkes und meines Eigentums, weil sie es unter die Heiden zerstreut und mein Land aufgeteilt haben;
3 And they haue cast lottes for my people, and haue giuen the childe for the harlot, and sold the girle for wine, that they might drinke.
und über mein Volk haben sie das Los geworfen und Knaben als Preis für Lustdirnen hingegeben und die Mädchen um Wein verkauft, den sie vertrunken haben.
4 Yea, and what haue you to do with me, O Tyrus and Zidon and all the costes of Palestina? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompence mee, swiftly and speedily will I render your recompence vpon your head:
Und was habt auch ihr mit mir zu schaffen, Tyrus und Sidon und alle ihr Bezirke des Philisterlandes? Wollt ihr mir etwas vergelten, was ich euch angetan habe, oder wollt ihr selbst mir etwas antun? Schnell und unverzüglich will ich euer Tun auf euer Haupt zurückfallen lassen!
5 For ye haue taken my siluer and my golde, and haue caried into your temples my goodly and pleasant things.
Ihr habt ja doch mein Silber und mein Gold geraubt und meine wertvollsten Kleinodien in eure Paläste gebracht;
6 The children also of Iudah and the children of Ierusalem haue you solde vnto the Grecians, that ye might send them farre from their border.
und die Kinder Judas und die Kinder Jerusalems habt ihr an die Griechen verkauft, um sie weit von ihrer Heimat zu entfernen.
7 Beholde, I will rayse them out of the place where ye haue sold them, and will render your reward vpon your owne head,
Wisset wohl: ich will sie wieder aufbrechen lassen von dem Orte, wohin ihr sie verkauft habt, und will euer Tun auf euer Haupt zurückfallen lassen;
8 And I will send your sonnes and your daughters into the hande of the children of Iudah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people farre off: for the Lord hath spoken it.
und ich will eure Söhne und Töchter an die Kinder Judas verkaufen, die werden sie dann wieder an die Sabäer verhandeln, an ein fernwohnendes Volk; denn der HERR hat’s geboten.«
9 Publish this among the Gentiles: prepare warre, wake vp the mightie men: let all the men of warre drawe neere and come vp.
»Macht dieses unter den Heidenvölkern bekannt: ›Rüstet euch zum heiligen Kriege! Bietet die geübten Streiter auf, laßt alle Kriegsleute aufmarschieren und anrücken!
10 Breake your plowshares into swords, and your sithes into speares: let the weake say, I am strong.
Schmiedet eure Pflugscharen zu Schwertern um und eure Winzermesser zu Lanzen (-spitzen)! Der Feigling sage: Ich bin ein Held!
11 Assemble your selues, and come all yee heathen and gather your selues together round about: there shall the Lord cast downe the mightie men.
Eilt und kommt herbei, alle ihr Heidenvölker ringsum, und scharet euch zusammen!‹« – Dorthin, HERR, laß deine Streiter hinabziehen! –
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come vp to the valley of Iehoshaphat: for there will I sit to iudge all the heathen round about.
»Die Völker sollen sich aufmachen und in das Tal Josaphat hinabziehen; denn dort will ich zu Gericht sitzen über alle Heidenvölker ringsum.
13 Put in your sithes, for the haruest is ripe: come, get you downe, for the winepresse is full: yea, the winepresses runne ouer, for their wickednesse is great.
Legt die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist reif! Kommt und stampft, denn die Kelter ist voll, ja, die Kufen fließen über, denn ihre Gottlosigkeit ist groß!« –
14 O multitude, O multitude, come into the valley of threshing: for the day of the Lord is neere in the valley of threshing.
Scharen über Scharen treffen im Tal der Entscheidung ein, denn nahe ist der Tag des HERRN im Tal der Entscheidung.
15 The sunne and moone shalbe darkened, and the starres shall withdrawe their light.
Sonne und Mond verfinstern sich, und die Sterne verlieren ihren Glanz;
16 The Lord also shall roare out of Zion, and vtter his voyce from Ierusalem, and the heauens and the earth shall shake, but the Lord wil be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
der HERR brüllt vom Zion her und läßt seine Stimme aus Jerusalem erschallen, so daß Himmel und Erde erbeben; aber für sein Volk ist der HERR eine Zuflucht und eine feste Burg für die Kinder Israel.
17 So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, mine holy Mountaine: then shall Ierusalem bee holy, and there shall no strangers go thorowe her any more.
»Da werdet ihr denn erkennen, daß ich, der HERR, euer Gott bin, der ich auf dem Zion wohne, meinem heiligen Berge; und Jerusalem wird dann heiliges Gebiet sein, welches Ausländer nie wieder durchziehen werden.«
18 And in that day shall the mountaines drop downe newe wine, and the hilles shall flowe with milke, and al the riuers of Iudah shall runne with waters, and a fountaine shall come forth of the House of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
»Und dann, an jenem Tage, wird es geschehen: da werden die Berge von Most triefen und die Hügel von Milch überfließen und alle Rinnsale Judas voll Wassers strömen; und ein Quell wird aus dem Hause des HERRN hervorbrechen und das Akaziental bewässern.
19 Egypt shalbe waste, and Edom shall be a desolate wildernesse, for the iniuries of the childre of Iudah, because they haue shed innocent blood in their land.
Ägypten wird zur Wüste werden und Edom zur öden Steppe wegen der Freveltat an den Kindern Judas, weil sie unschuldiges Blut in deren Lande vergossen haben.
20 But Iudah shall dwell for euer, and Ierusalem from generation to generation.
Juda aber wird ewig bewohnt bleiben und Jerusalem von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht;
21 For I will clense their blood, that I haue not clensed, and the Lord will dwell in Zion.
und ich werde ihr Blut rächen, das ich (bisher) nicht gerächt habe; und der HERR wird auf dem Zion wohnen.«
