< Job 6 >

1 Bvt Iob answered, and said,
To naah Job mah,
2 Oh that my griefe were well weighed, and my miseries were layed together in the balance.
Palung ka sethaih hoi raihaih loe tah thai mak ai,
3 For it woulde be nowe heauier then the sande of the sea: therefore my wordes are swallowed vp.
tuipui ih savuet pongah doeh azit kue, to pongah ni kamthlai hmoek ah lok ka paeh moeng.
4 For the arrowes of the Almightie are in me, the venime whereof doeth drinke vp my spirit, and the terrours of God fight against me.
Thacak Sithaw ih palaanawk mah kai to cop moe, ka pakhra mah kasoe tui to naek; zitthok Sithaw thacakhaih loe ka hmaa ah oh.
5 Doeth the wilde asse bray when he hath grasse? or loweth the oxe when he hath fodder?
Qam caak naah taw ih laa hrang hang maw? Caak han phroh oh naah maitawtae ambuu maw?
6 That which is vnsauerie, shall it be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egge?
Kakhraem ai caaknaek paloi ai ah caak thai maw? To tih ai boeh loe aadui tui kanglung pongah khraemhaih oh maw?
7 Such things as my soule refused to touch, as were sorowes, are my meate.
Ka pakhra mah to baktih caaknaek sui hanah koeh ai; to baktih caaknaek loe palungsethaih caaknaek ah oh.
8 Oh that I might haue my desire, and that God would grant me the thing that I long for!
Aw ka hnik ih hmuen to hak nasoe, ka koeh ih hmuen to Sithaw mah na paek nasoe!
9 That is, that God would destroy me: that he would let his hand go, and cut me off.
Sithaw mah kai hae paro nasoe, tiah koehhaih ka tawnh; a ban phok nasoe loe, na takroek pat halat nasoe!
10 Then should I yet haue comfort, (though I burne with sorowe, let him not spare) because I haue not denyed the wordes of the Holy one.
To tiah ni monghaih ka tawn tih, ue, palungsethaih ka pauep han, kai hae na tahmen hmah nasoe; Ciimcai Sithaw ih loknawk to ka aek ai.
11 What power haue I that I should endure? or what is mine end, if I should prolong my life?
Thacakhaih ka tawn ai boeh, timaw ka oep khing han vop? Saning kasawk ah ka hing cadoeh tih oephaih maw oh vop?
12 Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brasse?
Ka thacakhaih loe thlung thacakhaih ah maw oh? To tih ai boeh loe kai ih angan loe sumkamling ngan maw?
13 Is it not so, that there is in me no helpe? and that strength is taken from me?
Kai loe kaimah hoi kaimah kang bomh thai ai, ka palunghahaih doeh boeng boeh.
14 He that is in miserie, ought to be comforted of his neighbour: but men haue forsaken the feare of the Almightie.
Patangkhang kami loe angmah ih ampui mah tahmenhaih amtuengsak han oh; toe anih mah tahmen ai nahaeloe, anih loe Lensawk Sithaw zithaih tawn ai kami ah ni oh.
15 My brethre haue deceiued me as a brook, and as the rising of the riuers they passe away.
Kam nawkamyanawk loe kalen moe, kakang let vacong tui baktiah aling thaih kami ah oh o;
16 Which are blackish with yee, and wherein the snowe is hid.
to tui loe kamkhawk tui, amtueng ai ah kamzawt dantui mah lensak:
17 But in time they are dryed vp with heate and are consumed: and when it is hote they faile out of their places,
toe to tui loe nipui tue ah kang moe, ni kabae mah amzawtsak boih.
18 Or they depart from their way and course, yea, they vanish and perish.
To vacongnawk loe angmacae longhaih loklam to anghmang o, loklam ai ah a long o moe, anghmat angtaa o.
19 They that go to Tema, considered them, and they that goe to Sheba, waited for them.
Tema ih kaminawk mah tui to pakrong o, Sheba prae hoi kholong caeh kaminawk mah tui to oephaih hoiah zing o.
20 But they were confounded: when they hoped, they came thither and were ashamed.
Nihcae oephaih tawnh o, toe palungboeng o ving; to ah phak o naah, palungboeng o.
21 Surely nowe are ye like vnto it: ye haue seene my fearefull plague, and are afraide.
To baktih toengah nangcae doeh azom pui ni, tiah amtueng boeh; ka tongh ih raihaih na hnuk o naah, na zit o boeh.
22 Was it because I said, Bring vnto me? or giue a rewarde to me of your substance?
Kai khaeah bokhaih tangqum to sin oh, to tih ai boeh loe na tawnh o ih hmuenmae thung hoiah tangqum na paek oh,
23 And deliuer me from the enemies hande, or ransome me out of the hand of tyrants?
misa ban thung hoiah na pahlong oh loe, thacak kami ban thung hoiah na krang oh, tiah ka thuih vai maw?
24 Teach me, and I wil hold my tongue: and cause me to vnderstande, wherein I haue erred.
Ka sak pazaehaih na patuek oh, kang hngaiduem han.
25 Howe stedfast are the wordes of righteousnes? and what can any of you iustly reproue?
Toenghaih lok loe thacak! Toe kasae nang aek o ih lok mah timaw angcoengsak?
26 Doe ye imagine to reproue wordes, that the talke of the afflicted should be as the winde?
Ka thuih ih loknawk kasaethuih hanah na poek o maw, oephaih tawn ai kami mah thuih ih lok loe takhi baktih maw na poek o?
27 Ye make your wrath to fall vpon the fatherlesse, and dig a pit for your friende.
Ue, ampa tawn ai kaminawk to na pacaekthlaek o moe, nam puinawk hanah quum na qaih pae o.
28 Nowe therefore be content to looke vpon me: for I will not lie before your face.
To pongah na khen oh; nangcae hmaa ah lok kam lai mak ai.
29 Turne, I pray you, let there be none iniquitie: returne, I say, and ye shall see yet my righteousnesse in that behalfe.
Khopoek o let rae ah, zaehaih net o hmah; ue, khopoek o let raeh; kai loe toenghaih hoiah ni tok ka sak.
30 Is there iniquitie in my tongue? doeth not my mouth feele sorowes?
Ka palai ah sethaih akap maw? Kai loe kasae kahoih pathlaeng thai ai kami ah maw ka oh?
