Job 5
1 Call nowe, if any will answere thee, and to which of the Saintes wilt thou turne?
१“पुकारकर देख; क्या कोई है जो तुझे उत्तर देगा? और पवित्रों में से तू किसकी ओर फिरेगा?
2 Doubtlesse anger killeth the foolish, and enuie slayeth the idiote.
२क्योंकि मूर्ख तो खेद करते-करते नाश हो जाता है, और निर्बुद्धि जलते-जलते मर मिटता है।
3 I haue seene the foolish well rooted, and suddenly I cursed his habitation, saying,
३मैंने मूर्ख को जड़ पकड़ते देखा है; परन्तु अचानक मैंने उसके वासस्थान को धिक्कारा।
4 His children shalbe farre from saluation, and they shall be destroyed in the gate, and none shall deliuer them.
४उसके बच्चे सुरक्षा से दूर हैं, और वे फाटक में पीसे जाते हैं, और कोई नहीं है जो उन्हें छुड़ाए।
5 The hungrie shall eate vp his haruest: yea, they shall take it from among the thornes, and the thirstie shall drinke vp their substance.
५उसके खेत की उपज भूखे लोग खा लेते हैं, वरन् कँटीली बाड़ में से भी निकाल लेते हैं; और प्यासा उनके धन के लिये फंदा लगाता है।
6 For miserie commeth not foorth of the dust, neither doeth affliction spring out of the earth.
६क्योंकि विपत्ति धूल से उत्पन्न नहीं होती, और न कष्ट भूमि में से उगता है;
7 But man is borne vnto trauaile, as the sparkes flie vpwarde.
७परन्तु जैसे चिंगारियाँ ऊपर ही ऊपर को उड़ जाती हैं, वैसे ही मनुष्य कष्ट ही भोगने के लिये उत्पन्न हुआ है।
8 But I would inquire at God, and turne my talke vnto God:
८“परन्तु मैं तो परमेश्वर ही को खोजता रहूँगा और अपना मुकद्दमा परमेश्वर पर छोड़ दूँगा,
9 Which doeth great things and vnsearchable, and marueilous things without nomber.
९वह तो ऐसे बड़े काम करता है जिनकी थाह नहीं लगती, और इतने आश्चर्यकर्म करता है, जो गिने नहीं जाते।
10 He giueth raine vpon the earth, and powreth water vpon the streetes,
१०वही पृथ्वी के ऊपर वर्षा करता, और खेतों पर जल बरसाता है।
11 And setteth vp on hie them that be lowe, that the sorowfull may be exalted to saluation.
११इसी रीति वह नम्र लोगों को ऊँचे स्थान पर बैठाता है, और शोक का पहरावा पहने हुए लोग ऊँचे पर पहुँचकर बचते हैं।
12 He scattereth the deuices of the craftie: so that their handes can not accomplish that which they doe enterprise.
१२वह तो धूर्त लोगों की कल्पनाएँ व्यर्थ कर देता है, और उनके हाथों से कुछ भी बन नहीं पड़ता।
13 He taketh the wise in their craftinesse, and the counsel of the wicked is made foolish.
१३वह बुद्धिमानों को उनकी धूर्तता ही में फँसाता है; और कुटिल लोगों की युक्ति दूर की जाती है।
14 They meete with darkenesse in the day time, and grope at noone day, as in the night.
१४उन पर दिन को अंधेरा छा जाता है, और दिन दुपहरी में वे रात के समान टटोलते फिरते हैं।
15 But he saueth the poore from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hande of the violent man,
१५परन्तु वह दरिद्रों को उनके वचनरुपी तलवार से और बलवानों के हाथ से बचाता है।
16 So that the poore hath his hope, but iniquitie shall stop her mouth.
१६इसलिए कंगालों को आशा होती है, और कुटिल मनुष्यों का मुँह बन्द हो जाता है।
17 Beholde, blessed is the man whome God correcteth: therefore refuse not thou the chastising of the Almightie.
१७“देख, क्या ही धन्य वह मनुष्य, जिसको परमेश्वर ताड़ना देता है; इसलिए तू सर्वशक्तिमान की ताड़ना को तुच्छ मत जान।
18 For he maketh the wound, and bindeth it vp: he smiteth, and his handes make whole.
१८क्योंकि वही घायल करता, और वही पट्टी भी बाँधता है; वही मारता है, और वही अपने हाथों से चंगा भी करता है।
19 He shall deliuer thee in sixe troubles, and in the seuenth the euill shall not touch thee.
१९वह तुझे छः विपत्तियों से छुड़ाएगा; वरन् सात से भी तेरी कुछ हानि न होने पाएगी।
20 In famine he shall deliuer thee from death: and in battel from the power of the sworde.
२०अकाल में वह तुझे मृत्यु से, और युद्ध में तलवार की धार से बचा लेगा।
21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue, and thou shalt not be afraid of destruction when it commeth.
२१तू वचनरुपी कोड़े से बचा रहेगा और जब विनाश आए, तब भी तुझे भय न होगा।
22 But thou shalt laugh at destruction and dearth, and shalt not be afraide of the beast of the earth.
२२तू उजाड़ और अकाल के दिनों में हँसमुख रहेगा, और तुझे जंगली जन्तुओं से डर न लगेगा।
23 For the stones of the fielde shall be in league with thee, and the beastes of the field shall be at peace with thee.
२३वरन् मैदान के पत्थर भी तुझ से वाचा बाँधे रहेंगे, और वन पशु तुझ से मेल रखेंगे।
24 And thou shalt knowe, that peace shall be in thy tabernacle, and thou shalt visite thine habitation, and shalt not sinne.
२४और तुझे निश्चय होगा, कि तेरा डेरा कुशल से है, और जब तू अपने निवास में देखे तब कोई वस्तु खोई न होगी।
25 Thou shalt perceiue also, that thy seede shalbe great, and thy posteritie as the grasse of the earth.
२५तुझे यह भी निश्चित होगा, कि मेरे बहुत वंश होंगे, और मेरी सन्तान पृथ्वी की घास के तुल्य बहुत होंगी।
26 Thou shalt goe to thy graue in a ful age, as a ricke of corne commeth in due season into the barne.
२६जैसे पूलियों का ढेर समय पर खलिहान में रखा जाता है, वैसे ही तू पूरी अवस्था का होकर कब्र को पहुँचेगा।
27 Lo, thus haue we inquired of it, and so it is: heare this and knowe it for thy selfe.
२७देख, हमने खोज खोजकर ऐसा ही पाया है; इसे तू सुन, और अपने लाभ के लिये ध्यान में रख।”
